do any of the BCS boys try to influence what their girl watches on tv? Like maybe it’s too scary, or it’s the news, or something- but they have like parent blocks on channels they think are bad for them or that would upset them

The twins DEFINITELY make sure that Dulce doesn't watch any news channels during the earlier parts of their relationship. Maybe big news stations, but local or state-issued ones. Leonel's a bit less controlling. If there's a violent movie or scene on and Dulce's just...continuing to watch it, he'll be confused. He'll stare at her a little, or for a awhile to watch her reactions, but if she's comfortable, he won't do anything. Marco, on the other hand, is a bit more protective.

He'll fully just change the channel or cover her eyes. Dulce finds it amusing, Leonel finds it to be an overreaction. He simply doesn't enjoy it lol. So they'll fight each other a little over it, their girl will have to get in between.

Tuco's outwardly against Cielito watching anything gory or violent. Yes, in his head, she's perfect - but he knows she isn't a child and she isn't pure like one, she can handle - whatever, he just doesn't think she should be going out of her way to watch bloody messes, not when he's gotta deal with it every day. He doesn't want that and her to blur.

"Cielito, the hell we gotta watch this for?"

"You like these movies."

"...You at me and look at you."

But in the way he gets invested in the reality tv and cheesy dramas she watches, Tuco slowly comes to accept the way she can watch and get excited over the violence with him. Her calls on how 'gross' it all is, her ewwsssss and such, it becomes cute rather than Tuco's cue to turn it off and make sure she's okay.

Lalo will be blunt. He'll say, over and over and over again, Princesa - are you sure you wanna watch something like that? Why not one of your movies?

Then, he'll just sigh and kiss her head when his girl gets adamant she can handle. Then he'll laugh and pinch her nipples every time it's obvious she's getting squeamish and scared.

"I told you! Turn this off."

"No!"

"...Huh??"

Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul: we have an “08” thing.

I went down a rabbit hole - seriously, spent my whole break from work on this by mistake - after realizing the little pattern in the photo about DDAY/ 606. I was reminded when confirming for 💯 sure the d-day date of June 6, 1944, that the war officially ended on 5/8/45. This led me on a hunch to look at what took place in episode 5x08 of Better Call Saul. When I saw what happened, I ended up looking up every 08 episode in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and I think we’ve got an “08 thing” going on. It COULD all be a coincidence, but if not, let me know what you think this all means:

Officially, the war ended on 5/8/1945.

What happened in 508 of Better Call Saul?

Bagman is the episode of better call Saul that amounts to the lie Jimmy tells Lalo, which I have theorized ends up being the reason Jimmy thinks Lalo sent people after him in 208 of Breaking Bad.

There’s an 08 thing… The Breaking Bad “better call Saul” / it wasn’t me it was Ignacio episode was episode 208.

Out of curiosity; though this could all be chalked up to coincidence, I checked some other 08 episodes for significance, knowing off the top of my head that 308 of Breaking Bad was the one right after “one minute” (shootout between Hank and the cousins). This episode is called “I See You,” also a play on words for ICU. Since this episode supports my “08” hunch, considering one of the Salamanca cousins dies in this episode and Bolsa dies.

In this episode, off screen (we see the death in this episode but we don’t learn about Mike’s involvement until, GUESS WHAT EPISODE? yes, it’s another 08, this time in season 4, see more below!!!! There’s a lot more) Mike, on orders from Gus, kills Leonel (the cousin who hadn’t died yet in One Minute) (!!!) Walt realizes that Gus has known he was lying about having a DEA relative and being at the lab as Gus “hides in plain sight” from the DEA. Gus arranged for Bolsa’s death; he also is killed in this episode (!) right when he was accusing Gus of betrayal (ummm. Uh oh. What “might” this mean for Lalo?) This is also the episode where Walt fires Gale from the lab so Jesse can come back.

Back to better call Saul.

408 of better call Saul, we see Nacho doing business with Krazy 8, which for me solidifies the need to merge the timelines and address no one in the BCS world going looking for Krazy 8 when he disappears after encountering Walt and Jesse in BB. Also, LALO ARRIVED IN TOWN IN THIS EPISODE and the situation giving rise to Mike having to kill Werner all take place in this episode. The excavation is delayed because Casper has an injury, Kai has the incident at the bar.

Interestingly, Krazy 8 is also in episode 3x08 when Nacho reprimands him a bit for not going after a dealer who owed them money. Nacho does the stunt with Hector’s pills in this episode and Mike and Gus are in talks about working together.

In 208, Kim resigns from HHM, Howard tells her about his father convincing him to work at the firm. This episode has that meeting where Chuck and Howard initially convince mesa verde not to go with Kim and to stay with HHM- seems significant now given the prank against Howard. *Jimmy pranks Chuck in this episode! This is the 1216 forgery episode. !!! Also in this episode Mike is plotting against Hector, interesting because in 308 Nacho executes his plan against Hector (the pills, mentioned above).

108 of Better Call Saul is the episode Jimmy starts building the class action against Sandpiper ! Mike asks Caldera for more work, which now seems interesting to me given the current storyline; if I were writing this last week, maybe not.

Breaking Bad does not have an episode 1 x 08, nothing I can do about that one ;)

As mentioned above, 2x08 is the better call Saul episode and 3x08 is I See You.

EPISODE 408 IS THE EPISODE GUS GOES AND TORMENTS HECTOR ABOUT THE SALAMANCA FAMILY DYING WITH HIM, the episode no one will stop talking about because it must mean Lalo is dead. this happens during a flashback after another scene we didn’t originally see, from 308/ I see you, we now learn Mike killed Leonel at the hospital. Mike warns Gus that the situation with Hank investigating him (though the police don’t suspect him) + the cartel watching him could be the perfect storm. Hank mentions the thing about there being no record of Gus in Chile. Gus explains away his fingerprints being at Gale’s apartment. We see that Gus has security cameras in the Superlab. Gus visits Hector during present day informing him he went against the Cartel, and we see the infamous Max flashback to the first time Gus met Eladio, Hector, and Bolsa. Hector kills Gus’s friend Max in the flashback and Eladio authorizes Bolsa to knock Gus to the ground and Hector holds him there so he directly watches his friend bleed to death after being shot by Hector. This is the origin of Gus’s whole desire for revenge.

Lastly, and it’s another good one, in 508 of Breaking Bad, Walt disposes of Mike’s body after killing him the previous episode, then he arranges for the “disposal” of Mike’s men in prison, getting their names from Lydia and hiring Todd’s uncle Jack to kill all of them in prison.

Maternity Photoshoots: 📸 🤰

Princesa: is uncomfortable having Lalo get someone to do an oil painting of her pregnant in bloom while he threatens the painter every five minutes. He puts it in his office to stare at while he’s working at 3 AM

Cielito: does a celeb style maternity shoot with a goofy and shy Tuco, complete with matching pink dress and tie and a stuffed animal somewhere

Dulce: the twins take her picture on some poloroids, maybe develop the film prints darkroom-style for extra creepiness. They have a million in their wallets, phones, cars, etc. Wouldn’t put it past them to have one in their work bathroom

Tuco and Cielito are doing it walmart style, but with an expensive photographer. He's forced to hold a stuffed bear and he's wearing a pinkish button up and Cielito looks beautiful. Tuco's smile is awfully cheesy - a bit square and goofy, but she loves it. They do prom poses, just with a bump in the way. Tuco's very picky when it comes to the photos.

Dulce has to get use to the flash, but she makes them buy make-up because flash is horrible. But the boys do the best they can. It's Polaroids, not your average film camera because then they would have to get it developed, and I wouldn't want to be that poor film print worker. They keep one in their wallets, on the dash of the car. On the fridge. Leonel and Marco bought a special slip just for her to wear for the photo sesh. She forces them to take a Polaroid selfie with her. They don't smile, but they get red in the cheeks when Dulce smooches each of their cheek.

"Are you getting her nose right?"

"Lalo."

Princesa would've been fine with photos taken by Lalo or Ignacio on a camera. Like...just photos, but then she would've to a professional photo session. But then she's been sitting for an hour and she's going to have to stare at this painted version of her when she comes in Lalo's garage. Lalo's got his arms crossed, watching the sweaty painter paint. He's terrified. Princesa needs to pee.

"...Sir-"

Lalo just had to kiss Mama. He's been patient.

Victor and Tyrus entered Mai's house and went upstairs to complete the search and noticed a room next to a room «J.R» written on it «MAI» They entered the room, and there was a large wardrobe and a bright red desk next to which was a guitar, many drawing tools, posters of rock bands, and two swords placed in a glass cabinet,But they noticed that on top of the bed that can accommodate two people were female underwear

As soon as they saw the underwear, I felt a little embarrassed. Then they turned their heads and continued searching as if they had not seen this. Then Victor went and opened one of the drawers to be met by a young girl with long brown hair that reached down to her back.With reddish locks and freckles covering her body like stars, and an athletic body, but what distinguished her most was her bright violet eyes and her attractive smile with sharp fangs. Then Tyrus noticed Victor’s distraction and went to him.He too was enchanted by the beauty of that girl in the picture. Meanwhile, they heard the sound of the bathroom door outside the room opening. Quickly and without thinking, Victor entered the wardrobe and Victor was under the bed and found the same young girl.She enters the room, drying her hair, and wearing nothing but a white shirt, unbuttoned at the chest

She enters the room and continues unbuttoning the shirt under the eyes of Victor, who is hiding in the closet, and whose face gradually begins to heat up, but he controls himself and looks in the other direction.Our little miss had begun to wear her red underwear and put her white shirt back on,She sits on the bed and takes out a book from the drawer next to her and reads, and at that moment Michael (Monroe) enters her «Ah~...I see you are here...how are you mai~?» Mai looks at him «Oh...I'm fine Mike» Mike goes and leans on her hips while she gently pats his head while focusing on reading,Victor felt some jealousy as a result of this action, along with a little confusion, as how does he even know her? As for Ciro headcanons…hmm…I’m just gonna shout the following into the void and hope that at least some of this mess makes sense! 

- I have A LOT OF THOUGHTS regarding how Ciro feels about Lalo’s philosophy regarding life and death. As I understand it, Lalo knows he could die any time so he chooses to live each day how he wants to, with a grin on his face as he takes whatever comes his way, and if it’s death then so be it. Not that he wants to die but he just doesn’t fear it. Compared to Lalo, Ciro is ruled pretty extensively by fear - fear of death, punishment, etc. I imagine that in the wake of Hector’s stroke, they had a conversation about this because it’s the first time that Lalo felt what it’s like to watch someone close to him almost die - something he can’t control, and he hates the worry and the fear that brings about. Maybe he’s starting to realize that he hasn’t fully come to terms with death’s inevitability, especially when his loved ones are at stake. And Ciro has to explain that that’s exactly how he feels every time Lalo is away from home a little bit too long, or goes off and gets himself shot/stabbed/in jail. And Lalo scolds him, “do you have any better ideas on how I’m supposed to live Ciro?” and the conversation is basically pointless. (As a side note, I'm very interested in how the Salamancas would process grief when the enemy is something you can't get revenge against...because revenge is their go-to move.)

- Ciro is also somewhat of an insomniac, and Lalo finds that he occasionally enjoys having company during his midnight planning sessions, and this is how they first bonded. In the kitchen scene in the S5 finale, I feel like Ciro responded super quickly to Lalo calling for him, so it’s entirely possible he was awake at that time and expecting to be summoned? Maybe? 👀

- This is probably the most realistic one, but Ciro smokes whenever he is stressed - and he is stressed a lot.

- The gold chain necklace he is wearing in the season 5 finale was given to him by Lalo. Actually you know what, this is better: Lalo once took him shopping and asked him to pick out a piece of jewelry as a birthday present because Ciro doesn’t have many personal items, and Ciro being a romantic chose a necklace that matches Lalo’s...

- Ciro has met all the Salamancas before. Early on in their relationship, Lalo wanted to show him off, so he hosted a dinner party and invited the whole family. Marco and Leonel liked Ciro and thought he could be good for Lalo, keeping him more grounded and whatnot. Tuco, however, was like “you had me drive 8 hrs down here with our abuelita just because you wanted to show off the guy you’re - okay he is kinda cute and I am looking respectfully 👁👁 but fuck this is like already the fifth time you’ve bragged about your latest - ” (Also this is literally just me, but I like to think that Ciro isn’t really scared of Hector. I don’t even know why)

- When I started writing this fic I was only thinking of Ciro as this super wholesome character that gets stepped on by everyone...and then I rewatched the kitchen scene and when Lalo told him to not blame Miguel I actually laughed because like...what if Ciro is actually a little brat. Like he and Miguel are locked in a prank war (after Miguel hazes him for being the new guy or something) and each complain about the other to Lalo who normally would be so down to watch or even participate but these two fools are destroying his house lol

- Yolanda treats Ciro like her son and they often like cooking together. Since she’s been working for Lalo for such a long time, I think she hasn’t really been able to start a family of her own, and the Salamanca household is the only family she knows.

Also…Ciro really needs a last name! But I’m not brave enough to give him one. Anyway, this is getting pretty long, so I’m just gonna say thank you again and your support means a lot to me!! (and sorry for the huge word vomit above) Honestly I’m a little nervous about writing the next chapter lol, but I’ll do my best ❤️
