She took the empty seat when it was vacated and held out one of the drinks in her hands. "Grabbed some margs for us. Well, Quince grabbed them, but that's what he's there for. Boyfriend duties." She had a sip of her own margarita before looking around. "This isn't bad. It's not the Hamptons, obviously, but it isn't bad."

Set in Percy Jackson and the Olympians E1S1

Cabin ten, home to Aphordite's children. If Barbie and a military battalion had a kid, it would be the tenth cabin on Camp Half-blood. Arianne Deveraux was named captain and head counselor of the tenth cabin the day of her sixteen birthday, and since then she had to deal with all her brothers and sisters.

Two days later, Luke Castellan asked her to accompany him to a counselor meeting.

Said counselor meeting was actually a secret, not so secret, party for older campers, that had absolutly nothing to do with the fact that Chiron was out of camp in a secret quest and Mr.D had being persuaded with coke zero.

"Come on lovie, let's have some fun"

Apollo kids were at some (probably stolen) dj stuff, while Castor and Pollux were serving drinks and food. And every camper at sight waves and said hello to Luke. Three years at camp, and Ari was just starting to understand how deep Luke's influence run in the campus.

"So... are you gettin me a drink or what, champ?"

"And they said you were meek" laughed the boy.

"What can i say? Looks are deceiving"

"You don't have to swear it"

Later that night, when they had to break up the party after the earlier arrival of Chiron, some Demeter kid spread the rumor that captains of cabin 10 and 11 were making out behind a tree at the bonefire.

Some months after that, it was natural to see the two of them walking aroud camp, training together or swimming at the canoe lake. Her brothers and sisters would wait in the door of cabin 10, waiting for her to arrive past the curfew just to watch them say their goodbyes until next day.

"Quick! Hide behind the curtain!"

"Mitchell, she's gonna see you"

"Shut up, Val"

Arianne just draw her palm to her face as they stayed at the front door of cabin 10, her back facing the window while Luke only bit his tongue to avoid laughing at he situation. When Ari lifted her eyes from the floor, she found Luke's eyes just looking straight to her, as if he was trying to remember every little spot of her face, as if he was about to spend so much time without seeing her.

"Guess we have public tonight".

"They being spying us the whole day, I really hope they're not that bad when monsters are around"

Luke took a step foward, and before she could say her goodnight, he grabbed her face with two hands and kissed her on the lips. It was sweet and innocent and felt like being on a Pegasus. Her heart was beating faster than being chased by a monster and she actually heard the voices of her siblings giggling and clappin their hands.

"See you tomorrow at training, lovie"

Ari opened her eyes, finding Lukes mischievous grin, who was already on his way to his cabin.

"You just gave them a show" the girl complained

"No, your face did" responded the boy.

"I hate you".

"Nah".

She waved her goodbye to her boy with a foolish smile plastered on her face and prepare herself mentally for the nightmare of children behind that pink door. So, before entering, she breathed in and out three times, and stepped inside. She found all of her siblings looking at her, grinning at her, while poorly hidden behind curtains or under blankets.

"If your not dead sleeping before the count of ten, I will personally hunt you one by one in Capture the Flag"

This being said, the children practically flew to their bunkbeds as she directed herself to the twinbed she shared with her half-sister Silena.

The black haired girl was pretending to read a Vogue magazine when Ari just threw herself on her bed.

"Stop the act, Silena. I saw you looking out the window with Mitch and Val" said the captain.

Silena just left the magazine on the nightstand and looked at her big sister. They endured this for five seconds before brusting in laughs and putting her hands over their mouths to avoid bringin the attetion of the younger.

"Is he a good kisser?"

"Silena!"

"Don't shout! A girl just wants to know, don't blame me"

"It was all right" Ari said just staring at the ceiling "He felt right, get me?". Silena just looked to her sister in admiration, a look of pure happiness.

"Got it" she responded "Ugh, I'm so jealous... wish Charlie wasn't that dense".

"Give him time... it's not an easy task falling in love with a daugther of the goddess of love".

"Says the one with a boyfriend".

"Hey! It took time too, you know? Charlie will get it, don't worry about it. And if not, you can always leave it to your big counselor sister who can give him more chores!"

Silena just pushed her a little and they laugh again, falling sleep on the same bed after their conversation.

Later the same night, Arianne and Silena were woken up by a loud thud and the sun rays that sneak to the pinkish courtains. Apollo was feeling it today, huh? Arianne got off the bed, stretching after spending the night sharing a single bed with her dear sister, who kicks like hell.

"Mitch, what's going on si early?" she asked her little brother, who was running around the cabin with only one shoe one.

Did she sleep in? Why is everybody up that early? It was only 8:30 in the morning, most of the campers (especially HER campers) wouldn't leave their cabins until 9:00 for breakfast at mess hall.

She was sure as Tartarus that it wasn't inspection day, and she knew because the one in charge of that, was still lying in bed trying to get up. And Silena was really serious when it came to inspection day.

"A new kid entered at camp last night! Michael from Apollo said he killed a minotaur entering camp with Grover! Gods, he said the kid kept the horn!" said the boy before sprinting out the cabin.

What?

"Sil? Wake up, come on".

"Only five minutes" she murmured.

"Get your ass up!"

They dressed as quick as they could, (easy for Ari because she went to bed with the clothes from the day before). When both of them get to the mess hall, everyone was talking about the mysterious kid that one handedly got to kill a minotaur.

Apparently, poor boy passed out from the attack and was recovering in the infirmary, not even Apollo's children had access right now by Chiron's orders.

Silena went to their table, as for Ari, she was getting her food when Chris Rodríguez and Clarisse La Rue were having a conversation about it.

"I mean, a minotaur is big thing Clarisse".

"Beginner's luck, Rodríguez" said the Ares kid.

"Don't be mean, Clarisse" scolded the Aphordite's daugther entering the chat.

Despite being two opposite poles, La Rue and Deveraux had a good friendship and mutual respect. That probably comes from the close relationship between their godly parents (so to speak).

It was kind of relieving for Clarisse to know someone that she didn't need to impress. And for Arianne it was nice to have someone that wouldn't just underestimate her because of her looks, and actually saw that she wasn't a shallow, pretty face and that she could defend herself as well as any other demigod.

"Bet he's the son of Ares" said Chris "A new baby brother, Clarisse!".

Needless to say, Chris earned a hit from the Ares girl.

"What problem do you children of Hermes have with betting?" asked Arianne laughing while serving herself some pancakes with strawberry syrup.

"Make's life more insteresting, lovie" said a voice behind her, while an arm rested comfortably on her shoulders. "What are you three bickering about this morning, huh?" said Luke's voice.

"Good morning for you too" Arianne greeted.

With his arm still on her shoulder, Luke left a discret kiss on her hair. " What are the news?" he asked.

"Newbie kill a minotaur last night, and everyones freaking out" Clarisse said disdainfully.

"Unclaimed?".

"Seems like we'll have the bullslayer at our place, bro" said Chris before he and Clarisse went to their respective tables.

"Be nice to the kid, he is probably super scared right now" Arianne told Luke, gettin face to face.

Luke raised an eyebrow questioning her words.

"Im always nice to new campers".

Arianne just grinned and pecked his cheek before going to her sister, who was eagerly waiting for her pancakes.

on the surface side, Tonmy has a party in a rose field! it's full of friends, food, and fdinosaurs.

rosas moves from their spawn location! while cozy, spawn is crowded and there are build restrictions due to perpetual spawn chunk loading. a dinner is held at teal's new rosas restaurant, though rising tensions end in a fight and wind up with cheez killing midori. way to lose a fight to a toddler online, cmon.

we also learn the nether will open soon! don't let that fool you. multiple players already have netherite ingots, and portal places have been built. the server is ready.

what says love more than a wedding? val gets hitched with gwen, almos, and positron. the event is invite only for lag reasons.

see those snowblossom trees? lots of players think they're lovely! splat builds a cool lake in a snowblossom grove, best viewed at night.

apple finishes a greenhouse with trees and flowers! it's beautiful.

and now, the autistic minecraft behaviors, maze edition:

an official market area has been selected! inkia gets started with show rooms for furniture, and of course an ad board because there is no freedom from hell is there.

photo op! then some clurbing. with the crurb. doing drurg. what the furk i guess.

after the drurgs, croptopia farms get made because the croptopia crops did Not spawn in. also levi finishes a stained glass fish.

birthday party! the 20th, 21st, and 22nd are birthdays for event creatures! they've made it one whole month!

sunny dabbles in the mystic dark magics, and constructs a room dedicated to the practice.

you'll never guess who is causing trouble again! that's right, white baby. it's spawning in stronger mobs with more buffs. creatures and cubitos get downed left and right.

residents display the full gamut of coping methods. the coordination on the pole dancers is incredible.

and if you want to cope with gambling, we got horse races now!

and the dark magician opens a diner where residents can eat a fda-safety-compliant meal. the week ends with tense waiting for the next white baby strike.

About the AU of Abacelsus highschool, I came up with a fun and nice episode for ABA and it's about his 15th birthday party! (oh well actually it would be 16th, only here we usually celebrate 15th haha).The topic would begin with a talk between Elphet and ABA about parties, during that conversation Elphet mentions what she wants her party to be like when she turns 15, ABA, since she was very isolated from the world, would have no idea what it means. Elphet tells her that it is a very special day for the birthday girl, where she goes from preadolescence to adolescence, from there they throw a huge party for the birthday girl with balloons, music, waiters, lots of food, with a beautiful and big dress, etc, etc. ABA of course is not excited about the idea of ​​having a party with many people (unless it is her father, Elphet or Paracelsus) but when Elphet mentions that at the 15th party there is a vals part, where the birthday girl has to dance with those who gave her the roses, ABA is excited to hear that, she imagines herself wearing a beautiful blue princess dress and dancing with her paracelsus who is dressed like a prince out of a fairy tale she read was a little girl. And well, about the party it would be something complicated, Aba's father wouldn't have enough time to prepare a party for his daughter (let alone in two months), but Elphet, born from a rich family (I think) would convince her parents to help to Aba's father to throw his daughter's party. Also Elphet would invite everyone from the school (and literally everyone) except for Paracelsus, since ABA wanted to give him the invitation herself.

Now moving on to the ship, ABA and Paracelsus get nervous about dancing with each other, ABA because she's afraid of ruining that special moment for her and Paracelsus because he's not used to dancing that way (he had to reluctantly learn to dance thanks to slayer), although the dance would go well for both of them, ABA would feel that all this is a dream come true and Paracelsus would gradually fall in love with her, everything was nice until the girl trips and Paracelsus catches her, showing the cute moment of the prince catching his princess. After all the dancing, the food and the giving of candles, ABA would sit outside looking at the night blue sky with stars and the lake in front of her, Paracelsus would go after her to look for her because it was time to cut the cake, It would be the perfect time to listen to some soft music in the background. Aba and Paracelsus would talk for a moment, then they would be dancing again with the soft music in the background, both under the night sky, they would look at each other, Aba totally in love and Paracelsus...he thinks he feels it too. Little by little their faces would get closer and closer, until Aba trips (again) and they both fall into the water together, laughing in the process until Aba's father and slayer find them.Yes this sounds very cheesy and cliched, but it's an idea that came to mind when I was reading the abacelsus highschool AU and also because I saw someone mention it again. I don't know if I'll draw it one day 😅

Shouldn't begin to talk about all the lore here cause- IT CAN GET LONG HGFH Buuuut But I kinda want to gfhhgf

I'll try to do a TL:DR ▶ (ok so after writing, it''s pretty long LMAO lore dump 🤡)

Valentin's canon follow the game's canon but is heavily edited, he's still a V and still deals with Dex, Johnny yadda yadda

Instead of Takemura takin' him from the junkyard tho, it's Mitch and Scorpion who finds him during what should've been a standard scavenging routine

Takin his half-dead ass back to camp, where Dakota was around for some days, she recognized Valentin (he used to work a bit at her garage after she helped him hide from the Wraiths) and tells the ripper to keep the extracted bullet; it's a miracle that kid is still alive, he shouldn't be (and for sure, it's only thanks to the chip, right)

Skipping over a BIG CHUNK of lore here, Val' bonds a bit with Scorp and Mitch, meet with Panam, they prepare the kang-tao shit, the kang-tao shit happens, Valentin saves Mitch's ass and all

then during Scorpion's funeral, Mitch thanks Valentin by giving him a necklace made with the extracted bullet (instead of the figurine, he keeps it) and Valentin won't take it off ever since he got it

They keep on getting closer and closer, starting to crush on each others, they also keep saving each others from potential death (Valentin tries to save Saul by himself, feeling guilty of the wraith attack, rumors started to spread that he was ex-wraith and he felt responsible, it turns to shit and Panam, Mitch and vets goes to save him)

Speed forward to The Star ending, everyone is kind of aware that those two are in love now- but not doing anything about it, ignoring those feelings, Valentin dealing with his low self esteem and past trauma of being used and lied to, Mitch having his own demon with the recent lost of Driss, self conscious about a lot of things (his appearance, his age...)

But after a talk with Panam, Val realize they might very well just- fuckin' die tomorrow, so he decide to check in with Cassidy and see if he can help slicing the bullet in half (after checking with Dakota if it's be "ok", not wanting to potentially fuck any... "spell" or force that the bullet holds with everything that happened to him; she understand instantly for *whom* the other half is for and assure him that it's the good thing to do)

He was supposed to give it to Mitch that evening, but one thing leading to another, everybody got drunk and partied, Valentin got his tattoos on his shoulder, and kind of forgot.

MikoSHIT day happens, and as Mitch was about to leave for the Panzer in that tunnel, Valentin grabs him and finally "kiss" him (more like- smash their mouths together, it was a quick, bad kiss, full of regrets and unsaid feelings) and they both share So Much in those short minutes, Mitch having a reason to survive even tho he was well ready to give up his life for his family, for him

Post mikoshi, both Val and Mitch ends up in pretty bad states, going on and off coma, loosing track of time- but everytime one of them wakes up, they ask for the other

At one point, Valentin wake up for a day, going to see Mitch in another tent and placing the half-bullet necklace around his neck, kissing him shyly in his sleep, hoping wishing for him to come back

Later it's Mitch turn to wake up, noticing the bullet around his neck, and taking one of his dogtags off to place it on Valentin's necklace, who's now back into a deep, needed sleep

They're eventually both OK to move and so the 'Caldos prepare to leave for Arizona, similar to the game's canon

But instead of piloting with Panam, Mitch is the one to share the panzer with Valentin, and while on the lake they both talk a lot, happy to both be alive and with each others, and finally share a prope kiss, that slowly grow into something more, until a thunderstorm pop and having to go get back into the panzer, not letting go of the others, sharing their first time linked together (it was also Valentin first first time, pretty intense and full of emotion) as the raindrops falls against the metal and thunder echoing outside

AND LIKE. SPEED FORWARD AGAIN, They're in Arizona now, but Valentin's condition is slowly degrading, everyone can see it, and they eventually find a really good Nomad "hospital" with folks ready to try and help him, even tho it'll be a heavy surgery and nobody knows how it'll go and if it'll even work

But not wanting to make the same mistake as before, with the fear of loosing him, Mitch ask Panam (now leader of the clan) if she could "make them official" (I do believe the 'caldos have some ritual for couples, not necessary a proper weddings like statics- but then again it depends on the peeps, everybody can do whatever they want! What's sure tho is that there's a big party uwu)

She accept of course, and Mitch tells Val, they're both excited but afraid, knowing what it all means, that Valentin could die, and this is a way to tie them together forever

and basically their """wedding rings"""" are their necklaces, that they had around their necks for a long time now, and were always so important to them; but now it's official and celebrated by everyone

The fog lay thick across the land, moving almost imperceptibly away from Lake Celestine to take over Val Firmin, and then, perhaps, the world. That was how it felt, at least.

Rarely had Ixchel seen fog like that outside the Storm Coast, unless it was brought to a battlefield by Despair. As far as she could tell, however, no figures moved through the mist besides the members of her own caravan.

"Feels like that old ghost ship should come out of the fog at any moment," Carver muttered, and Mahariel barked out a laugh that made several of their companions jump.

"A ghost ship?" Merrill asked with surprise. "But we're so far from the ocean. Do they have large ships on this lake? Do they get a lot of bad storms?"

"No idea," said Carver. "It's a Fereldan story, anyway. Just came to mind."

Vivienne chuckled. "Is that where you get your namesake, Warden-Commander?"

Mahariel shrugged. "You would have to ask the ones who gave it to me," he demurred. Anticipating Merrill's next question, he continued: "They say when the fog is thick on the Storm Coast, an old ship called the Windline Marcher will be seen in the distance. People try to meet her but can never reach the ship before they find that they've sailed into dangerous waters and sink themselves."

He patted Merrill on the arm. "Don't ask what that has to do with the Dalish Teyrn. I haven't the foggiest."

He laughed again, and his companion's groans fell loudly upon their ears in the close confines of the mist. Their party lapsed into uneasy silence for a few moments, but that was nearly as unbearable as the harsh and unsettling sound of their own voices, and it wasn't long before someone spoke again.

"Val Firmin is a lovely, peaceful place, but it has its share of superstitions," Vivienne said. "They're not quite as provincial, I'm afraid. Ill-fortune befell the ruling house for a time. Mysterious deaths and generational bad luck drove the lady of the house to destroy her family mask--absolutely scandalous, but their fortune has since risen."

"There are new ghost stories," said Argent, and suddenly it seemed everyone wished for silence again. The agent spoke like a Tranquil, even, emotionless in her intonation, and just quiet enough that even in the closeness of the fog it required them to strain their ears. She walked along placidly, face forward and shorn head covered with her hood. She moved, like all assassins, as a ghost herself.

"Children," she said. "They say on these nights, you can hear children playing in the fog. If you follow the sounds they'll lead you to the same place, no matter where around the lake you start."

She turned her head slowly and fixed Thom with a stony look.

"It's a little road, just inside a copse of trees south of the Callier summer estate," she said.

"That's enough, agent," Charter ordered.

"It's very peaceful," Argent said neutrally.

Ixchel moved a little faster to come abreast of Thom. He hung his head, jaw clenched so tight that his beard trembled.

"I didn't realize it was here," she said softly. "I'm sorry."

Mahariel watched them, suspicious as ever. She met his eye askance, then bit her lip and looked back at Thom.

"Remember, you're a Warden now," she said. "You're paying your life twice over, Thom."

"Right," he muttered. "I'm in good company."

Carver looked back and forth between them all in confusion. "Somehow that doesn't sound like you mean it in a good way."

Thom winced. "Present company excluded. I just meant... I'm not the only man paying for a terrible crime with service to the Order."

At that, Carver's face hardened. "Well you certainly don't hold yourself like a man who's happy to've escaped a death sentence," he said. "I've met some of those. Gleeful they get license to continue on with their ways."

"No, he's one of your Andrastian sinners," Mahariel observed, predatory eyes never once leaving the side of Tom's head. Reflecting the dim mage light, he had a predatory look, as if he could see right through Thom's skull and found the hiding spot of a particularly juicy prey. "The Wardens is a rightful penance, a sacred path to redemption. But there is no absolution for the fallen, only the dying."

He leaned closer, letting the light slide from his face so that his eyes seemed as flat and pale as a corpse's.

"We're dead men, Rainier," Mahariel said with a grin, too wide to reach his eyes. "This life's miserable enough without the self-flagellation, let me tell you."

Doki Doki Kōmori: Love Sucks!

Ep. 4 - I was rejected by the protagonist, but at least my new friend has interesting dining habits!

In today's episode, Dr. Seward is is moping and brooding because Lucy rejected him and decides to distract himself with one of his pet projects in the asylum.

Otome jokes aside, today marks a few new interesting developments. First, we remind ourselves that Dracula is a Victorian technothriller. Lucy-Chan's Otome love interests are all very modern men. Arthur is a noble, but of a modern stock, managing properties and a well-connected man about town in contemporary businesses, unlike the Count's "old world" crumbling nobility. Quincy Morris is an American cowboy on the rugged frontiers of the world and Dr. Seward is a cutting edge psychiatrist and scientist.

Dr. Seward keeps his records on phonograph, which seems old-timey, but in Stoker's time, was cutting edge. While the technology was first developed in the 1850s, it wasn't until 1877 when Thomas Edison was first able to record a human voice on the machine. Mass production of the machines began in the 1890s in the UK. Dr. Seward is an early adopter of a cutting edge technology and it will play an important role in things to come.

Dr. Seward, looking to distract himself, devotes himself to an interesting and personally perplexing case: R.M. Renfield.

We also check in with delightful maniac Quincy Morris, who decides to invite Lucy-Chan's harem to a campfire singalong dinner party. The harem boys are all friends despite their apparent rivalry. Quincy has previously traveled with Arthur to the Marquesas (French Polynesia) and Lake Titicaca (Peru), and both met "Jack Seward" in Korea.

We never really learn more about these adventures, which is a shame.

Dearest Emma, Marmie was right. Jo and Laurie were too much alike in temperament and he's too young for Jo and Jo would definitely be miserable if she had to be in Laurie's social circle (imagine Jo in parties & pretty dresses!! The horror!!). Amy was the one for Laurie (their scene at the lake is my absolute fave romantic scene) and Prof Bhaer was the one for Jo (he understood her and gave her space). I admit I'm bias, because hot temper Jo & Laurie were paired with even tempered Amy & Friedrich, and that's me and my husband. Me impatient with bursts of temper and him with infinite patience & good humor. Anyways, I like your books, got them from library, and fun facts: I only started reading romance less than 10 years ago. My usual reads for the longest time were murder mysteries and serious books (lots of historical fictions!! biographies!! books with life lessons!!). Then daily life got heavy, needed something fun, started with Sophie Kinsella. Then Lianne Moriarty (not her recent ones, those are bad) and Jojo Moyes. Now I have Jasmine Guillory in regular reads (she's so good!!), Helen Hoang, Alexis Daria, and many others (mostly young-ish authors), including you. Life is better with romance books!! And murder mysteries books, those are still my number one faves, probably because my first books were Enid Blyton's the Famous Five. Agatha Christie, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women; those are my most re-reads. Recent good books were the latest RIchard Osman's Thursday Murder Club (the Bullet that Missed), Jasmine Guillory's Drunk in Love, and Courtiers by our main rota Val Low (his writing was very good, much better than his writing in the Times). Currently reading Mrs Harries Goes to Paris (Queen Camilla's recommendation) and TBR is Hennesy's Queen Mary's bio, Maggie O'Farrel the Marriage Portrait, and the new Jojo Moyes. My Hogwarts house is Gryffindor, but I cheated at the sorting quiz, and I know that deep down I'm a Hufflepuff. And I only want corgis and golden retrievers in every books, including yours (I don't like cats, sorry to your babies, they're cute tho').

Oh, I know Marmie was right now, but there are some things you never get over LOL

Life is best with romance AND murder books, if you ask me! I love cosy mysteries and is my usual reading, there isn't much romance on my kindle tbh!
