I find it fascinating that they let Legolas go on the journey, because speaking in terms of politics, letting the only known Prince of Mirkwood go on a life-threatening journey to Mordor, presumably, without letting the king of Mirkwood know, is batshit insane.

One of my many favorite moments from Sansukh chapter 43 written by @determamfidd! 

Above is Laindawar and Gimris. 

I like the looks of him, but i think the colors I chose for his clothes are all wrong. But I’m feeling rather sketchy today so i’m going to leave it.

Gimris. Ever since i’ve heard that Crack about Gimizh having ambitious sideburns I liked the thought that he got it from his mother. Hers of course are far longer, which she swoops back and braids into her pigtails.

as for the which scene I drew its under the cut! (beware under the cut is spoilers for those who haven’t had a chance to read!)

“I’m busy!”

“Does he have a gentle nature? Can he mend a bow? Does he sing?” Laindawar demanded, following Gimrís around the corridors. She had a basket of bottles upon her hip, and a thunderous frown on her lovely face.

“Buzz OFF, you pestersome elf! Can’t you see I’m doing my rounds?”

Laindawar ignored that and continued to march on behind her as though striding into battle. His face, as always, was set and grim. “But can he dance? Does he care for the stars? Will he go hunting with my brother? Is he a decent warrior?”

“One more word and my knives are coming out of their case!”

“Is he as short-tempered and caustic as you?”

“RIGHT, that’s IT!”

Let me tell you! this scene had me howling!! HOWLING with laughter! Well there were other scenes-and then there was one that had me screaming with concern-but yes. Anyways. Back to this. 

This moment had me dying and I just-is it too soon to hope for Laindawar constantly pestering his new sister in law? And getting trumped by her every time?! Oh my gosh to be a fly on the wall and listen to them go back and forth!

Thranduil seems to be having a very intense conversation with his eldest, Laindawar, Nonny. Probably about how sad they both are that Legolas and Laerophen are gone. I hope you like it!

I love this dynamic and it really shows how much both gimli and lain have grown as characters and I'm so here for it!
