Pieno di idee innovative e digitali sul futuro ma assai poco presente in redazione e sull'oggi, Calabresi aveva quindi peggiorato l'emorragia di copie già rotolante per conto proprio. Sicché i De Benedetti  a un certo punto pensarono di affiancargli un pazzo creativo che poi era il mio direttore all'Espresso, Tommaso Cerno, a cui non difettavano né le ambizioni né l'intelligenza. Ma Cerno era convinto di andare lì a comandare, insomma a fare le scarpe a Calabresi, il quale evidentemente non era d'accordo, quindi venne fuori un casino al termine del quale, tre mesi dopo, un bel mattino Cerno lasciò il suo cappotto firmato sulla poltrona di condirettore per scappare in garage da un ascensore laterale e diventare senatore renziano. Oh: non è un'iperbole, il dettaglio sul cappotto abbandonato dalla fretta di andarsene, qualche collega lo fotografò e fece girare l'immagine, tra le nostre risate alla solita macchinetta del caffè.Comunque, dicevo, fatto il pasticcio Calabresi e poi quello Cerno, a un certo punto i De Benedetti decisero di tagliare la testa al toro chiamando Carlo Verdelli, curriculum straordinario e grande artigiano dei giornali. Però, appunto, era anche uomo di sinistra, e quindi la prima cosa che fecero gli Agnelli appena arrivati fu cacciarlo. Lo fecero nel giorno in cui doveva morire, secondo le minacce che aveva ricevuto dall'estrema destra. Con l'eleganza del padrone senza peli sullo stomaco, lo stile Fiat.A Repubblica arrivò Maurizio Molinari. Non devo dirlo io, chi sia: lo vedete da soli, se ancora comprate Repubblica. Non mi va nemmeno di raccontare troppo nel dettaglio l'imbarazzo - la vergogna - che provavo nel vedere come stava trasformando un giornale che un tempo era stato aperto a una sinistra plurale e libertina: ogni giorno di più ridotto a megafono del potere  economico, con sbandate continue verso le peggiori destre americane e israeliane. E poi: le censure a Bernardo Valli (a Bernardo Valli!), le firme dei neocon e degli ex ministri di Berlusconi, il misto continuo tra cialtroneria e fake news, giù giù fino alle liste di proscrizione di Riotta. Il tutto nel perdonabile silenzio della redazione, perché quando uno tsunami devasta il tuo settore di mercato i rapporti di forza sono tutti sbilanciati dalla parte del padrone, ognuno è terrorizzato dai suoi destini personali, non è il momento delle battaglie collettive, se siamo in troppi per favore licenziate il mio vicino di scrivania e non me. ***Ma a quel punto, per fortuna, me ne stavo già andando. E finché ha potuto lo ha fatto. Ma gli Agnelli si sono dimostrati meno tolleranti o meno furbi di Berlusconi. Oggi anche lui ha smesso di resistere.Dell'Espresso ora vorrei che restasse almeno il ricordo di un giornale che ha aiutato a emancipare l'Italia. Di un giornale che ha combattuto grandi battaglie civili e sociali per spingere il Paese un po' più in là - e che lo ha fatto finché gli hanno permesso di farlo.

Professionisti

Uno degli aspetti delle dimissioni del prof. Berdini dalla giunta comunale Raggi a Roma che mi ha colpito (e non è nemmeno uno degli aspetti politicamente di maggior rilievo) è il rapporto che si ha con il professionismo. Mi spiego meglio: Berdini è uno dei maggiori urbanisti italiani, specializzato proprio nell'urbanistica di Roma, che come molte cose riguardanti l’Urbe, è unica al mondo. La chiamata di un professionista al posto giusto, Assessore all’Urbanistica, sembrava un’ottima scelta. Invece Berdini, al netto di altre questioni, è stato cacciato perchè, come indirettamente sostenuto dalla sindaca, “parlava troppo e lavorava poco”.

Sono una ventina d’anni che i professionisti, soprattutto della politica, sono presi di mira. Il ventennio berlusconiano ne è stato l’artefice, ma gli strali grillini ne cavalcano ancora l’onda, in parte per le profonde colpe della politica, in parte per le colpe del professionismo e in parte per l’odierna volontà di ridurre tutto a slogan pubblicitari. I grillini sono molto contenti di definirsi dei “dilettanti”, che è il contrario di professionisti, proprio a certificare la loro purezza da certi meccanismi tipici della professione politica, in una sciagurata e stupida riduzione del mito del buon selvaggio di Rousseau (che non a caso dà nome alla loro piattaforma informatica degli iscritti).

Gli amici che qui leggono i miei post sanno bene che io amo l’etimologia delle parole, perchè dietro ogni parola c’è un percorso di senso e di significato che nel corso del tempo ha una sua filologia interessante. Professionista e professionismo derivano da professione. Professione è un termine religioso, con cui si definisce la solenne e pubblica promessa con la quale i religiosi si impegnano all'osservanza dei voti di castità, di povertà e obbedienza e delle regole proprie dell’ordine e della congregazione (Dizionario Zingarelli). Professione deriva dal participio passato di profiteri, professus, composto da pro e fateri, che letteralmente significa dichiarare apertamente. Proprio per questo motivo la stessa radice ha professore, cioè colui che apertamente impartisce lezioni. Quello che è importante della professione è cioè la pubblica attestazione di un sapere, o meglio la pubblica attestazione di un sentimento o di un opinione, tanto è che si dice correntemente professione di amicizia, di giustizia etc. Ovviamente a ciò si è legata una costruzione giuridico amministrativa delle professioni laiche, per cui la legge stabilisce i diritti ed i doveri di una professione (tipo gli albi professionali, ordini e così via).

Dilettante invece deriva da dilettare, che seppur di origine incerta, deriva da de- lactare, cioè attirare, sedurre; definisce quindi avere un piacere, un diletto, una soddisfazione. Nell’uso comune però spesso significa imperizia, proprio perchè manca di quella conoscenza dichiarata apertamente della professione. Altra differenza sostanziale è che il professionista svolge la sua attività per lucro, il dilettante no.

Le parole non devono essere usate in modo banale, e solo le persone banali le usano in questo modo. Definirsi in un modo impone di comportarsi in quel modo, in concordanza di ciò che si è definito. Ora è chiaro che l’allontanamento di Berdini è dovuto, forse principalmente, per altri motivi (la costruzione dello Stadio, la globale organizzazione della progettazione urbanistica, altre questione di equilibri politici) e in questo nessuno dei protagonisti mi è sembrato un dilettante.

Per me è chiarissimo: ci sono stati 2 momenti nell’ultimo anno che mi hanno prima preparato e poi scatenato definitivamente questa fantasia. Il precursore.

Nella primavera del 2017 siamo stati invitati a un matrimonio: in questi anni sono stati un ottimo pretesto per lasciare i bambini ai nonni e ritagliarci un weekend per noi.  Ci dirigiamo in umbria per una di quelle cerimonie laiche che si trasformano in vere e proprie feste in un casolare tra le colline. Nel giardino di questa villa dopo aver pranzato si era tutti seduti a prendere il fresco, a bere e chiaccherare. D. col suo vestito a fiori spezzato con una gonna inizia a bere qualche prosecco ed è loquace e aperta come solo qualche parco bicchiede di prosecco sa trasformarla. Inizia ad attacr bottone con la moglie di un mio collega, parte la musica e si lanciano in pista ma senza esagerare: si balla, ci si diverte, ogni tanto si torna a sedersi a bere qualcosa. I prosecchi si trasformano in drink e poi col calare della sera in amari e whisky. D. è sempre più bella e allegra: mentre parlo la vedo sedersi a bordo piscina con questa ragazza altrettanto allegra e con due suoi amici a me sconosciuti. Ballano insieme, si risiedono. Ogni tanto passo per vedere se è tutto ok ma tutto è sereno e lei è contenta. Ma i drink fanno effetto e il mischione pure: la vedo che balla ma attorniata da quei 2 in modo fin troppo esplicito. “Ci stanno provando con tua moglie?” ricordo che mi chiesero in più di uno. “Ma no, stanno solo ballando” sminuivo io. A un certo punto però non vidi più nessuno: allarmato inizio a camminare per la villa fino a quando trovo tutti e 4 sdraiati in un angolo sull’erba in penombra rispetto al prato della festa. Sdraiato di fianco a lei un ragazzo e vedo che parlano vicini, troppo vicini. D. è ubriaca e mi avvicino quel tanto che basta per sentire chiaramente dirle  “vorrei scopare con te ma mi gira la testa”. Mi si gela il sangue e subito gli altri 2 ragazzi accortisi della mia presenza si distanziano e mi dicono che mia moglie non si sente bene.

Anche la moglie del mio collega mi spiega che stavano solo parlando e che forse e’ meglio se tornavamo in hotel, ma prima mi guarda e mi dice “stava solo scherzano eh non abbiamo fatto niente!”. Prendo D. tra le braccia e la porto in macchina per rientrare in hotel: non è nelle condizioni di parlare e si lascia mettere a letto. Io sono sotto shock: sentire quella frase, detta da lei, donna sempre fedele e mai vista avere comportamenti ambigui con altri ragazzi, mi fa pensare 10, 20m volte se ho sentito davvero quella frase. Ci penso tutta la notte e per la prima volta sento i morsi in pancia e girarmi la testa: il pensiero di lei che voleva fottersi un altro mi sconvolge ma allo stesso tempo ho da ore una erezione potente, inspiegabile, contraddittoria e mi convinco che si solo l’alcool che ho anche io in corpo, in quel momento mai avrei accettato la verità: il pensiero di mia moglie chiavata da un altro mi stava dando una delle erezioni più potenti provate nella mia vita. Ormai stanchissimo mi addormento vestito di fianco a lei. La mattina dopo il suo comportamento mi confermerà che quelle parole le avevo sentite davvero: dal primo momento mi disse che non voleva parlare mai più di quella sera e mi chiese di non chiederle niente. Provai per tutto il viaggio di ritorno ma non ci fu verso. Si vergognava troppo di essersi ubriacata e di cosa avrebbero pensato di lei.  Rispettai la sua scelta e ne parlammo solo molto tempo dopo.

Gioia del raccolto. Sogni di pane e di pace. Positività..Il terreno produce da sé, per energia e armonia proprie: è nella natura della natura di essere dono, di essere crescita. Nelle parabole, il Regno di Dio è presentato come un contrasto: non uno scontro apocalittico, bensì un contrasto di crescita, di vita. Dio viene come un contrasto vitale, come una dinamica che si insedia al centro, un salire, un evolvere, sempre verso più vita. Quando Dio entra in gioco, tutto entra in una dinamica di crescita, anche se parte da semi microscopici: Dio ama racchiudere il grande nel piccolo..l'universo nell'atomo..l'albero nel seme..l'uomo nell'embrione..la farfalla nel bruco..l'eternità nell'attimo..l'amore in un cuore..se stesso in noi..(Letture: Ezechiele 17, 22-24; Salmo 91; 2 Corinzi 5,6-10; Matteo 4, 26-34)..

Appello a tutte le Istituzioni democratiche Noi, cittadine e cittadini democratici, lanciamo questo appello alle Istituzioni repubblicane. Attenzione: qui ed ora c'è una minaccia per la democrazia. Fenomeni analoghi stanno avvenendo nel mondo e in Europa, in particolare nell'est, e si manifestano specialmente attraverso risorgenti chiusure nazionalistiche e xenofobe, con cortei e iniziative di stampo oscurantista o nazista, come recentemente avvenuto a Varsavia, persino con atti di repressione e di persecuzione verso le opposizioni. Per questo, uniti, vogliamo dare una risposta umana a tali idee disumane affermando un'altra visione delle realtà che metta al centro il valore della persona, della vita, della solidarietà, della democrazia come strumento di partecipazione e di riscatto sociale. Per questo, uniti, sollecitiamo ogni potere pubblico e privato a promuovere una nuova stagione di giustizia sociale contrastando il degrado, l'abbandono e la povertà che sono oggi il brodo di coltura che alimenta tutti i neofascismi. E la presidente dell’Arci, Francesca Chiavacci, ricorda come le leggi per farlo ci siano, ma da sole non bastano. «Non solo con le leggi si sconfigge la cultura fascista, noi abbiamo un ruolo nel diffondere una cultura democratica». La richiesta, allora, è di rispettare quanto previsto dalla XII Disposizione transitoria della Costituzione che vieta la ricostituzione, sotto qualsiasi forma, del partito fascista. Per i promotori dell’appello sarebbe un modo anche per cominciare a fare i conti con il passato, come invita a fare la Camusso. «Una lunga stagione di sdoganamenti lascia dietro di sé solo macerie», ricorda la segretaria della Cgil. «Dobbiamo attrezzare i giovani ad avere memoria, riempire quel terribile vuoto che ha lasciato la rappresentanza politica».
