I am asking you about Lago, speak your truth
Alright so the direct-to-video Aladdin sequels (yes, there's a trilogy) were my childhood, and Iago has some of the wildest character development I've ever seen in a Disney franchise. He goes from being the villain's silly right-hand bird, a comedic relief side character who gets locked up for eternity in a lamp with Jafar, to THE MAIN CHARACTER in the second film!
Iago escapes Jafar's lamp and befriends Aladdin and crew, first for his own selfish ends, but then actually becomes friends with them, learning the power of friendship and the benefits of being a hero. But then, oh no, Jafar gets out of the lamp and makes Iago betray Aladdin! Only for Iago to realize where his true loyalties lie and team up with Aladdin to defeat Jafar! Except he doesn't just defeat Jafar, Iago KILLS HIM!! The main villain!!! Kicks Jafar's lamp into lava and brutally murders him! It's amazing!
And then Iago becomes a regular sidekick during the tv show which lasted for 3 seasons?? He's literally the "bad guy becomes cool reformed uncle" trope, and then in the third movie he eventually decides to leave the main cast and have his own adventures! With Aladdin's hot dad!! There is no other Disney franchise giving this much character development to a one-off sidekick, a goofy talking parrot voiced by gilbert gottfried. AND HE SINGS!!!!
#im tagging tf out of this bc i want to find my other iago enjoyers#aladdin iago#aladdin#disney#iago disney#jason alexander voices the other villain in aladdin 2 that is v important. george costanza teams up with jafar guys

Trump Files Defamation Suit Against Pulitzer Prize Board for Rewarding ‘Russia Collusion’ Coverage
By Samantha Flom

Former President Donald Trump filed a defamation lawsuit against members of the Pulitzer Prize Board on Dec. 13 after the board declined to rescind the 2018 National Reporting prizes presented to The New York Times and The Washington Post for their reporting on the debunked allegations of collusion between Trump and Russia.
Noting that those allegations have long since been exposed as false, the complaint—filed in Okeechobee County, Florida—asserts that a “demonstrably false connection was and remains the stated basis” for the awarded coverage.
“A large swath of Americans had a tremendous misunderstanding of the truth at the time the Times’ and the Post’s propagation of the Russia Collusion Hoax dominated the media,” notes the complaint, which was obtained by Fox News. “Remarkably, they were rewarded for lying to the American public.”
The Awards
According to the Pulitzer Prize Board, the 2018 National Reporting Prizes were awarded to The Times and the Post for “deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration.”
On July 18, following several inquiries from the former president—which included a threat of legal action if the awards were not revoked—the board announced that it would not be rescinding the awards.
“The Pulitzer Prize Board has an established, formal process by which complaints against winning entries are carefully reviewed,” the board said in a statement. “In the last three years, the Pulitzer Board has received inquiries, including from former President Donald Trump, about submissions from The New York Times and The Washington Post on Russian interference in the U.S. election and its connections to the Trump campaign—submissions that jointly won the 2018 National Reporting prize.”
Noting that two independent reviews had been conducted regarding the reporting in question, the board continued: “Both reviews were conducted by individuals with no connection to the institutions whose work was under examination, nor any connection to each other. The separate reviews converged in their conclusions: that no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.
“The 2018 Pulitzer Prizes in National Reporting stand,” the board added.
Slamming the Pulitzer Board’s decision in a statement, Trump wrote: “The Pulitzer Board has taken away any shred of credibility it had left with its ‘response’ regarding the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, which was awarded to The New York Times and The Washington Post for blatant fake news. Instead of acting with integrity and providing transparency, the Pulitzer Board is running cover for the biggest reporting failure in modern history: the fake Russia Russia Russia collusion hoax.”
Also stating that The NY Times and the Post should take the “honorable” course of action and voluntarily return their prizes, the former president added: “The truth is that the 2018 Pulitzer Prize was handed out for reporting that merely parroted political disinformation—disinformation that we know was fabricated by foreign operatives and my political opponents. If the Pulitzer Prize has become a blatant acknowledgment of false, liberal political propaganda, then the Pulitzer Board should just say so.”
The Complaint
In the Tuesday filing, Trump’s legal team echoed those same sentiments, contending that the Pulitzer Board had issued its July statement with “knowledge or reckless disregard for its falsity” and that the board’s members “knew that the Russia Collusion Hoax had been thoroughly discredited numerous times by exhaustive, credible, official investigations, contradicting the ‘deeply sourced, relentlessly reported’” winning articles.
“At the time of publication, nearly every branch and agency of the federal government had examined this issue and reached the same conclusion: there was no conspiracy or cooperation between President Trump or the Trump Campaign and Russia,” the former president’s attorneys added.
The complaint also alleges that the Pulitzer Board’s statement was issued with “actual malice and the intention to harm President Trump and his reputation,” noting: “The Pulitzer Statement was knowingly published by Defendants to create a false implication in the mind of the reader that ‘the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration’ was connected with Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.”
Trump’s team is requesting damages “in an amount to be proven at trial.”
The Epoch Times has contacted the Pulitzer Board for comment.

The Siberian Candidate.
October 28, 2024
Glenn Carle, a former CIA national intelligence officer responsible for evaluating foreign threats, said back in 2017, "My assessment is that Trump is actually working directly for the Russians." He is not alone in this opinion. When asked in 2018 if he thought Donald Trump was a de facto Russian asset, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe simply answered, "I do, I do."
An asset differs from an actual agent in being someone who can easily be manipulated into doing the bidding of a foreign government. Ex-KGB spy Yuri Shvets told journalist Craig Unger how Trump was perfect for such a role:
In terms of his personality, the guy is not a complicated cookie, his most important characteristics being low intellect coupled with hyperinflated vanity. This makes him a dream for an experienced recruiter.
Trump has always been nauseatingly fawning in his praise of thuggish Russian president Vlad Putin. He called Putin's brutal invasion of Ukraine "genius," never tires of referring to Putin as "smart" and continually boasts of his cozy relationship with the Kremlin kleptocrat.
Early in his presidency, Trump invited Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and ambassador Sergey Kislyak to the Oval Office. The Washington Post reported that he shared with them top-secret information regarding a highly sensitive intelligence operation. In fealty to Mother Russia, he also threatened to pull out of NATO, ended the Iran arms agreement, tore up the treaty with Russia limiting their nuclear missiles, and withheld military aid to Ukraine.
Midway through his term, Trump asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to provide a list of American spies. The New York Times described what happened next:
Leading counterintelligence officials issued a memo to all of the CIA’s global stations saying that a concerning number of U.S. informants were being captured and executed.
At the end of his tenure, the career criminal stole hundreds of top-secret documents and squirreled them away at Mar-a-Lago. Among these was a binder containing raw intelligence concerning Russian election interference in 2016 that, according to Newsweek, Trump may have sold to them. Explains The Guardian:
Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset over 40 years and proved so willing to parrot anti-western propaganda that there were celebrations in Moscow.
In return, Russia helped Trump with each of his presidential election runs, including this one. In July, a US intelligence official announced, "We have not observed a shift in Russia's preferences for the presidential race from past elections." Trump, it seems, is still their chosen nominee.

George Conway Confronts Donald Trump Lawyer's Defense With Key Facts
..."George Conway, a conservative lawyer and vocal critic of Donald Trump, countered the former president's legal team with a number of facts on Sunday.
Conway's slew of posts on X, formerly Twitter, came only two days after Trump's legal team was granted a victory when the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Department of Justice (DOJ) Special Counsel Jack Smith's request to speed up Trump's appeal process in the federal election subversion case filed against him on Friday.
The DOJ indicted Trump in August on four federal felony counts, including obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, all stemming from his activities surrounding the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Conway responded to an argument presented by Trump's legal team in a Friday filing that claimed, "During the 234 years from 1789 to 2023, no current or former President had ever been criminally prosecuted for official acts. That unbroken tradition died this year."
Before Trump, no former president had been charged with a criminal offense in U.S. history. He has denied any wrongdoing in all cases and insists the charges against him are politically motivated.
Conway used the lawyers' same formatting to confront their position.
"During the 234 years from 1789 to 2023, no current or former President had ever repeatedly paraphrased Adolf Hitler. That unbroken tradition died this year," Conway wrote on X Sunday morning.
President Joe Biden's campaign accused Trump of parroting Hitler following remarks about immigrants the former president made at a rally in New Hampshire this month. At the rally, Trump accused immigrants of "poisoning the blood" of the United States.
Conway also referred to several court cases Trump is ensnared in when he published similar posts.
"During the 233 years from 1789 to 2022, no current or former President had ever repeatedly attempted to hide stolen classified documents from the FBI. That unbroken tradition died that year," Conway posted.
"During the 231 years from 1789 to 2020, no current or former President had ever telephoned officials in multiple states in an attempt to fraudulently alter presidential election results," another post said. "That unbroken tradition died that year."
Trump, who is the leading GOP contender in the 2024 presidential race, faces 78 felony charges spread across three cases, including a classified documents case in which he allegedly mishandled documents and stored them at his Mar-a-Lago resort and a case in which the former president is accused of falsifying business records related to his alleged payment of hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels to cover up a reported affair ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Conway also made similar posts that accused Trump of organizing a "self-coup" and referenced the civil trial in which E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of rape and was awarded $5 million in damages."

By • Olalekan Fagbade Stop campaign of calumny, blackmail against judiciary - Presidency tackles PDP, Atiku: Mr Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, has called on the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, its presidential candidate, to stop their campaigns of calumny and blackmail against the judiciary. Onanuga made the call in a statement on Monday in Abuja while reacting to Atiku’s recent allegations against the country’s judiciary . “In separate statements, the PDP and the spokesman of Atiku Abubakar, its defeated presidential candidate in Feb. 25 presidential election, threw caution to the winds. “They assaulted the integrity of the judiciary and made wild and libelous allegations against President Bola Tinubu. “In the wake of the poor run of some elected governors of the party at the appeal court, the PDP and former vice-president and his spokesman have become overtly desperate to hang their woes on President Tinubu and the judiciary, an important arm of government in Nigeria.” He added that in blaming others, Atiku and his party failed to demonstrate whether they had done any soul-searching before going public with their weighty, specious and reckless allegations. He urged Nigerians to disregard the malicious allegations by the PDP and its candidate that Tinubu while he was Governor of Lagos State, silenced the opposition and corrupted the judiciary. He also asked the public to disregard the allegation that Tinubu was planning to foist a one-party state on the country by appointing loyalists as Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs). Onanuga stressed that Tinubu was a democrat to the core who had never interfered with the judgment of the judiciary. “We had witnessed how under his watch, the PDP governor in Osun defeated the APC at the Supreme Court. “Similarly, the PDP governor in Bauchi also won his case in the Appeal Court, beating the APC. “President Tinubu is also not planning to impose a one-party state as Atiku has serially alleged and his party and spokesman have now parroted. “These allegations are deliberately aimed at unnecessarily heating up the polity and causing disenchantment in our country. They exist only in the imagination of the PDP and the former Vice-President,” Onanuga said. He added that unlike Atiku Abubakar, President Tinubu’s record as a democrat par excellence and a strong advocate of the rule of law had been globally acknowledged. According to Onanuga, Tinubu’s record of service as governor which witnessed giant strides in various facets, is responsible for the dominance of his political structure in Lagos State and not by any undemocratic conduct. “In contrast, it is on record that Atiku Abubakar recently confessed about the electoral heist his party executed in the South-West in 2003 which Tinubu survived out of the six governors of the defunct Alliance for Democracy. “Atiku and PDP are now crying wolf over the Appeal Court rulings on governorship polls in Plateau, Zamfara and Nasarawa States. “We hasten to ask the former vice- president where he was in 2019 when the court ruled against the APC in Zamfara and awarded all the positions won by the APC to PDP,” he said. Onanuga wondered where Atiku was, also in 2019 when in Rivers, the court stopped APC from fielding any candidate in both the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections. He further wondered where Atiku and the PDP were in 2019 when on the eve of the swearing-in of Bayelsa Governor-elect, David Lyon, the Supreme Court handed the victory of the APC to the candidate of the PDP, Gov. Douye Diri. “Atiku and PDP then savoured all these court-handed trophies as sweet victories for PDP and celebrated the courts as protectors of democracy. “Now that the same courts are annulling PDP victories, based on the blatant violations of the law by the lawless party, the party is mudslinging the judiciary and President Tinubu. “We once again implore Atiku and PDP to stop their campaigns of calumny and blackmail against the judiciary and the honourable judges and justices.
“Judgments are based on law and evidence. In election petition cases, they are based on the Electoral Act and the Constitution, not on sentiments and emotions,” Onanuga stressed. He added that it was irresponsible and a disservice to our country for the opposition, after failing to observe the letters and spirits of the law, to now turn around to tear down an important arm of government.(NAN)

Wild Africa Fund unveils Nigeria’s first wildlife show for kids
Wild Africa Fund has launched a new wildlife-focused television series, Dr Mark Animal TV Show, for kids between ages seven and 14. This is contained in a statement by Wild Africa Fund Nigeria’s Representative, Mr Festus Iyorah, on Saturday in Lagos. “The kiddies show premieres this Saturday and every other Saturday at 8.45 a.m. on Silverbird TV DSTV channel 252, StarTimes Channel 109, and GOTV channel 92/192. “The show will educate children between ages seven and 14 on Nigeria’s amazing wildlife and the need to protect them,” the statement said. It said that Nigeria had become a transit hub for the illegal wildlife trade of pangolin scales and ivory in the last few years. The statement noted that the Nigeria Customs Service had made four major seizures of pangolin scales, ivory, and other wildlife parts in the last 13 months. It added that there was a growing appetite for bushmeat consumption, especially among urban dwellers in Nigeria. “Conservationists say illegal wildlife trade and a demand for bushmeat have sharply declined Nigeria’s wildlife and biodiversity. “They estimate that Nigeria has fewer than 50 lions, 100 gorillas, 500 elephants, and 2,300 chimpanzees left in the wild. “Generally, ignorance and low awareness about Nigeria’s amazing biodiversity and the importance wild animals play in the environment have contributed to the continuous destruction of Nigeria’s wildlife. “These existential challenges have inspired the need for public awareness and educational materials that educate the general public, especially young people who are best equipped to save our environment for future generations,” it said. The statement quoted Mr Peter Knights, Founder of Wild Africa Fund and the Executive producer of the new TV show as saying that kids would enjoy the show. “We hope that kids will be excited to learn about these animals and how we must protect them for their futures,” Knights said. The statement added that Mark’s Animal TV show would enlighten children on the human and ecological importance of wild animals such as pangolins, lions and African grey parrots, among others. It said that the children would also learn fun facts about these animals including domestic animals like dogs. The statement said that a quiz competition had veen scheduled to inspire retentive knowledge in kids at the end of the show. It said that the animal show comes at a time local content for children, especially on the environment, is nonexistent. The statement also quoted Iyorah as saying that Wild African Fund would continue to invest in educational wildlife content. “We plan to invest in educational wildlife content that will empower children as the next generation of wildlife ambassadors. “We expect children to impact their cycle of influence with what they learnt from watching the show,” he said. Okay guys, this is getting pretty ridiculous, Republicans are now asking why the FBI isn't raiding the White House. And this isn't even out-of-office crazies like Tucker Carlson or Trump, the incoming chair of the House Oversight Committee is parroting this nonsense.
So let's be clear, Joe Biden is the President of the United States and has full access to any classified documents, he can even declassify them if he wants to (though not with his mind). The White House is also a secure location where classified documents are supposed to be.
The Mar-a-Lago and Biden Center finds were problematic because the people in question were not in office at the time and those locations were not safe for classified material and anyone who doesn't know all of that is far too ill-informed to be doing any kind of believable investigation on the topic.

Aw, there they are! And here's Sterne's bio in text - there's a lot more information than I was able to find!

Other Broadway appearances include Crown Matrimonial with Eileen Herlie and Alice in Wonderland with Eva Le Gallienne. Off Broadway he played Felix Mendelssohn in Beyond Desire with Franchot Tone, the Professor in Uncle Vanya and Consul Grotti in Pirandello's Naked for Roundabout, NY. He toured with The National Repertory Theatre in She Stoops to Conquer and Liliom with Signe Hasso and Farley Granger, and as Horatio and Hamlet in the National Theatre's production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
