Across the room, it’s difficult to keep your eyes on the book in front of you. Every time you look up, he’s staring right back at you, much to the annoyance of those around him. They were trying to work on something, to which the group effort would be explained, but all he keeps mumbling on about has nothing relevant to add.

He can’t help it, especially sitting in such a seat with a perfect line of vision to you.

Tapping the exterior cover of your book, you look down once more, a smile yourself brewing on your lips. It’s hard to not, with the way he looks at you so lovingly, and the more you look away, the harder it becomes to resist the urge to take another sparing glance.

Someone in his group taps him, asking him if he’s alright, to which the Frenchman nods eagerly, finally tearing his gaze from you to shuffle the stack of papers in his grasp.

“…lover boy.”

You hear one of them say, to which you’re caught once more staring at him. As he looks at his own information in front of him, talking, arguing with his group, you are free to watch the passion that comes across his rosy cheeks.

You stifle a laugh, knuckles coming to your lips as someone mentions how they were on a completely unrelated topic.

“Oh? Oh, my apologies, I just wanted to add—“

The giggle you emit does little to help his recovering brain, and when he looks up to meet your eyes, he finds it extremely hard to contain his smile. You even see his teeth come to bite his bottom lip, attempting to suffocate the laugh back into his throat.

It’s futile, so the effort seems, as you watch once more the way the smile breaks over his entire face, and your heart thrums wildly in your chest.

He seemingly recovers, beginning to talk about something relevant, much to his groups satisfaction. Yet he never looses sight of your smile, and your book suddenly doesn’t seem so interesting any more.

The look he gives you, speaks more than any words could.

One more minute, then I am all yours.

You nod, fingers fiddling with a page, yet you never flip it.

When not a minute more passes, his group stands, shaking hands, agreeing on one last thing before departing.

Hurriedly, you turn back to your book, watching their shoes as they leave, counting them and their voices until all that remains is a pair of shoes standing directly in front of you, stealing your heart with a simple set of words.

“All finished. Let us go home, my love.”

His hand comes out, and you close your book, taking his hand as he pulls you to stand.

Nothing could make your day like that smile of his, especially when it was reserved just for you.

A much needed Eloise and Lafayette first meet! //Not that we had done that already once before

It was a quiet evening around the Continental Camp. Eloise strolled amongst the men in breeches and a shirt. Her blue eyes flashed, taking in her surroundings and she laid a hand on her weapon. A long sword that had been a gift from her father two birthdays ago and she had cherished it ever since. It was one of her prize possessions. The other was a stuffed fox currently in her tent. The fox had been a gift from her father long ago when she had been a child. Her blonde hair had been pulled up into a bun. If there was one thing she was vain about it was her hair. She loved her hair and had cut it short once before.

The wind ruffled past. She raised her head and sniffed the air. It smelled like rain and she loved the rain. She nodded to a few men as they passed her. They bowed and she returned the bow. She had learned long ago not to wear dresses in the camp. It had been a painful lesson but Martha had been able to repair the damage done to the skirts of her favorite dress. Eloise had learned then not to wear the fancier ones. Otherwise she would have already gone through them all. In some ways Eloise was the picture of a noble woman well raised by her parents. In others she was different.

Eloise came up to a commotion and she raised her eyebrows. Some of the men had surrounded an unfortunate person. She had forgotten that a young French man would be arriving in the camp. "What is going on?" Her clear and somewhat sharp voice rang through the air. She walked forward. "I highly doubt that you all are bored and must have something better…..o-oh-" Eloise trailed off as she stared up at a very young nobleman. She bowed low.

The French Revolution and The Dissolution of the English Monasteries

So, slightly weird selection of topics to be thinking about in the same sentence, but French Revolution and the Dissolution of the Monasteries do have a surprising amount in common.

Firstly, there is the timescale on which both are operating. Although, as with most major events in history, there was a lot of buildup, and things were influenced for decades afterwards, both the French Revolution and the Dissolution of the Monasteries took at most a decade to run their courses through. The monasteries were dissolved in the decade between 1530 - 1540, and the Revolution was brought to a halt by the Coup of Brumiere in 1799, exactly a decade after it had begun.

Such big changes happening in such a short space must have been dizzying for the people who had grown up under the old system. And although many must have felt exhilarated, it’s unsurprising that many had doubts. When the French Revolution was starting to gather the momentum that would lead it toward the Terror, some of the more moderate reformers, such as the Marquis de Lafayette, thought it impossible that a country could function would a king as head of state, even if that king’s functional power was practically negligible. Later on, when the most Extremist of the Mountain were pushing things towards the declarations that “Terror is the Order of the Day”, the Indulgents were attempting to rein the situation in a bit, which went amazingly well for them all. A similar pattern is visible in the Dissolution: the Henrican Moderate Catholics were unwilling to take part in the reforms that swept the realm on the Accession of the fervently Protestant Edward VI, and there were multiple rebellions in the south and East of England over the dissolution of the monasteries. Moving forwards in time, Mary’s burning of Protestant bishops has an interesting parallel to the CSP and their Law of Suspects.

There is also the psychological effect of the Revolution and the advent of Protestantism to consider. The clarity and feeling that you were in personal commune with either your God, or the way your country was run, must’ve been an exhilarating and addictive sensation. Men like Camille Desmoulins and Thomas Cranmer seem almost bowled over by how sharp and well defined the new order is. However, the mysticism of the older Regimes, and how deeply ingrained into the very fabric of the country’s history, will have made them feel more secure. There were a lot of people willing to reform what was already there, but upending the familiarity of what they had grown up with was a step too far.

It’s always very interesting to consider the similarities and differences that occur in historical events. Not least because it leads one to speculate on what might have happened elsewhere, if events had taken a different turn.

HEYAAA!! Sorrry Ya'll it's been a long time i haven't posted since these College things( A lot of assignment as always > ), So anyways just like as i was saying yesterday, or maybe very long day.

In a future world filled with numerous global challenges like inequality, corruption, environmental crises, social unrestan and all of the aspect **Mr. Peabody**, a genius dog with a time machine called WABAC, forms a bold plan to bring historical figures from the past to the present. Along with his friends—Sherman, his adopted human son, Toby the genius cat or partner bestfriend, kathrina, toby adopted human daughter and Kayleen, a bright young girl who has been appointed a "Junior President" by the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. She really active in many activities , she's make her own cartoon film business with her bestfriend. Mr. Peabody intends to address modern-day issues not only in indonesia but all around of world with help from the greatest minds and leaders from history.

Kayleen proposes an idea to Mr. Peabody: “What if we give historical figures a chance to return to life in the modern world? They could help us fix the world’s problems, and in return, they can learn from our era and perhaps even change their own historical paths for the better.” Like who knows if they all can help with this ways ?" Peabody agrees with the idea and mobilizes his company to perfect the WABAC machine. This allows historical figures to visit the modern world, help solve its crises, and return to their own times once their work is done.

From there, Kayleen is promoted to be the Director of Historical Integration of Mr. Peabody's project, heading up **TeamForthcoming**, a group created to make this vision a reality. The team's mission is to address pressing global issues such as poverty, gender inequality, lack of education, political instability, climate change, and human rights violations. This title reflects her crucial role in creating and designing the program that allows historical figures to travel back to modern times using the WABAC time machine. It also emphasizes her focus on the larger goals of world peace and the integration of all of team historical figures not only teamfourthcoming into the mission.

Kayleen, Sherman, and their friends Penny and Toby (Sherman’s best friend, a genius cat) form the foundation of TeamForthcoming. They enlist the help of historical figures such as **George Washington** (the team leader), **Ir. Soekarno** (the vice leader), **Abraham Lincoln**, **Albert Einstein**, **Marie Curie**, and many others to combat various global problems.

Y/N groaned as they awoke to the bed filled with used tissues and no one by their side. They had sensed a cold coming on, but were too stubborn to actually do something about it.

"It was one cough," they had said, "I'll be fine,"

They were wrong.

They were not fine. Nothing was fine. Y/N had places to be, and they needed to be in less than an hour.

Letting out a nasty sounding cough, Y/N sat up in their bed, attempting to stand up, when a voice interrupted them.

"Mon chéri, lie back down, you need to rest." came the calm and caring voice of Lafayette.

Y/N fell back onto the bed, giving their boyfriend a warm smile, "I'm fine, Laff, I promise."

"Y/N," Gilbert began with a small laugh, "You're sick. If that wasn't bad enough, then the lack of sleep you got last night definitely is. I could hear you coughing all night."

They huffed with a small pout, "But I have to... to..." Y/N ended up cutting their self off by loudly sneezing into a tissue that Laff has luckily brought them.

"See, Y/N? You can't possibly go today." the Frenchmen tried reasoning, only to be met with Y/N's dramatically loud sigh as they pouted.

"Fine," they huffed, "But I want pancakes."

When Y/N had finally agreed to being left alone in their room, Laff set out to the kitchen to begin making pancakes.

Y/N rarely did the cooking in their relationship, claiming that it always tasted bad. Either that reason, or the way Laff cooked pancakes made Y/N's taste like shit in comparison.

He couldn't complain. He loved cooking, especially when Y/N loved it so much.

"Laff?" they called, getting lonely after a while, "Are you almost done?"

Hurrying into the kitchen, Y/N smiled at what they saw.

The smell of pancakes and the sight of their boyfriend cooking made Y/N's heart swell.

"Mon chéri, you should be resting," he whined, "I would've brought them in for you."

Y/N couldn't help but giggle, "I'm sorry, I just got lonely."

Placing a finished pancake onto a clean plate, Gilbert moved toward Y/N, wrapping them inside a tight hug, "Apologies, chéri," he whispered, "Are you feeling any better?"

Y/N hummed in response, "Yeah. But I would feel better if we cuddled in bed."

Laff smiled, "Bien sûr, mi amour. But first, pancakes."

The rest of that day, once the pancakes were eaten, Laff showered Y/N with cuddles, food and love, all things that despite Y/N saying they didn't need, they really loved.

"Hey, Laff," Y/N began, staring up at their boyfriend. Somehow, Y/N had ended up with their head lying on Laff's chest as they attempted to binge watch almost every Disney movie in existence.

Laff hummed in response, signaling for Y/N to continue.

"Thank you for doing this. For taking care of me today. A lot of people wouldn't have."

At those words, Laff sat up straight, lifting Y/N up on his lap, "You deserve the world, mi amour. This is the least I could do for you."

Y/N sighed, resting their forehead against his, "You're gonna get so sick because of me."

Laff smiled, pressing his lips against Y/N's, pulling away to see their flustered expression, "Worth it."
