Years ago I got quite a shock when a #Dermatologist explain to me that many of the skin problems I had been dealing with were because I’m ‘technically’ #MixedRace 🤨 See that brown #Hyperpigmentation spot the yellow arrow is pointing at? Well that’s #Melasma. Apparently it’s really common in women who are of #Latin and #Asian descent but my white ass had no idea (I totally told the lady like a dumbass “My father was an #Apache…” 🤦‍♀️), along with issues I had over the years like getting #LineaNigra while pregnant and how my skin scars in a blueish grey, almost purple color. They also explained that’s why my forehead started looking like I was a #Tenctonese from #AlienNation when I was in my 20s and I always look kinda #Jaundice. (My skin naturally has a ‘warm yellow tone’ 😑) The white arrow is NOT a pimple, that WAS my ‘Mirror Monroe’ as I call it. It’s a #BeautyMark I have in a similar spot as the one #MarilynMonroe had, just on the opposite side. While playing #LadyMcBeth with this latest spot coming up on the face, I managed to bleach all the color out of it. 🤦‍♀️ The blue arrow is where I had to have #PlasticSurgery stitches as a toddler after taking a cup to the face. As a kid I thought it was awesome that #DianeLane who played Cherry in #TheOutsiders had a similar scar. (but I have no idea if it’s another ‘mirror’) Anyways, I’m once again asking the Interwebs for its wisdom. Help a white girl out! It's that Maybelline 24 hour super stay stuff and they are not kidding about 24 hours I can wipe at my lips with the back of my hand when it's on and it comes off dry and clean and I can sleep in it and it still looks decent in the morning. it's probably my favorite thing lipstick in the world.
