Some brown water issue in co-op building I'm about to purchase in, has been better for 6 mos. Red flag?

I don't have much info on the building or apt. since I don't live there yet. First floor unit, pre-war building with about 6 floors. NYC. Just received this note from the seller:

"“In early 2021 I sent a note to the building community's digital message board noting that we were seeing brown water in our residence. We had noticed that the shower head and kitchen faucet both sometimes required perhaps 30 seconds of running for the colored water to run clear. This had come up sporadically in the eight years prior but was fleeting and not more than a very brief nuisance. Others in the building noted publicly and privately that they experienced something similar. Making mention in a public forum may have led to tighter maintenance controls or greater diligence because the brown water issue improved. We haven't noticed recurrence in the six months prior to listing the property for sale.”

Is this a major red flag, or a fixable issue? Thank you
