Honestly Leif would be a much better Emblem ring if the Master Lance and Master Bow were switched with each other.

The Master Lance is already rough because of its massive weight, bad hit, and brave effects only happening on player phase in Engage unlike in Thracia. But its actual biggest issue is being 1-2 range. Being a phyiscal 1-2 range that sucks on enemy phase is already pretty bad normally, but it's 10 times worse if it's auto switched to.

His Adaptable skill prioritizes being able to counterattack above all else, so if the Master Bow was his second weapon instead, odds are the unit he's on will choose the Killer Axe, Light Brand or any other weapon in their inventory before the 2 range locked Master Bow. The Master Bow being a bit better on the weight and hit department helps as well.

It's not a perfect solution yes, but if Adaptable had to be kept, the weapons should've been switched around. Plus he has history of using the Master Bow in Heroes, so why not have that instead of the Master Lance?

Since I'm on the topic, I'd also replace Celica's Recover staff with a sword instead. A standard healing staff as an Engage weapon is not that useful (compared to Soren's Reflect and even Veronica's Fortify+). Plus, Celica doesn't give staff proficiency despite having a staff. She gives sword proficiency though, despite not having a sword. She even has a sword in the Emblem mural! So I'd give her the Ladyblade with the Flamberge effect built into the weapon instead.

I'd also have Eirika's first weapon be the Wind Sword, and replace the Rapier with the Reginleif. There's already Marth's Rapier and Lucina's Noble Rapier, so why not have the series' first lance with dual effectiveness instead? Plus it'd be another reminder that Ephraim is in fact there as an Emblem too, and Eirika used it in Heroes as well.

I sketched out a Ladybug-themed Keyblade, but I haven't settled on a name for it. So far, I have:

Lucky Charm (unlikely considering just saying its name would use up Maribug's power)

Ladybuster (I saw that as a fan name for the Villain-Doppelgänger!Ladybug greatsword)

Hm! Ladybuster is hilarious actually but iirc it's a Final Fantasy reference already.

You're right on the Lucky Charm being an issue, and 'Ladyblade' is kinda lame.

Guardian's Miracle sounds the best, however: Are you doing only a Ladybug-themed one or one for all the Miraculous? Because if it's just a singular Keyblade that you'd get based on the series(like how the other Keyblades are mostly one-for-disney-media), then it would work. But if there's one for Ladybug, one for Chat, etc.? Maybe pick the more Ladybug-specific.

The voyage had not continued smoothly, as the choppy waters became rough, became aggressive, became violent, and the seasickness he'd been harboring for days curdled to a brief moment of white-hot panic as sea debris struck the side of the vessel, tearing through the hull and crashing waves came down upon them, buffeting all against walls and one another alike.

Raven had tried to keep his footing, to secure break free from the grip of the water, to push his way through the current up to the deck and to grab anyone that he could to free them alongside him. Faintly, he heard the shrieking of his wyvern, the knocking of its wings against the walls of its stall in the makeshift stable, and in his uncertainty he waded through with just enough time to release the beast from being condemned to a watery grave.

The sea took the ship eventually, though, and though Raven felt the claws of the wyvern sink into his arm as the beast returned the favor, dragging his through the waves, he drifted into black.

In the dark he heard murmurs, whispers, felt the grip of fingers against his sides – ghosts, he assumed, for he was no stranger to hearing voices in his sleep, the clawing of unseen hands, but as the world sharpened around him once again he discovered, cheeks rough with sand and sunburn, that these hands belonged to living, breathing people.

He could scarce make out what they were saying, but their faces came into focus – cruel smiles and sharp eyes, raking over he and what appeared to be others from the monastery, if not the same boat, assessing their worth with heavy intent.

Groaning, he attempted to roll over, but the weight of the water in his lungs, the heavy blackness he couldn't quite shake making his limbs leaden, and though he began to piece together what those smiles meant, a helplessness crashed over him just as the water had.

Nevertheless, inch by desperate inch he struggled upright to his feet, forced his arms to move and clasped his hand to the hilt of his sword, and swayed into an uneasy stance – the others weren't moving, he couldn't let them be taken unawares, he had to give them time to come back to themselves, back to the world of the living to give themselves a chance -

And all attention turned to him.

Mercenary/Myrmidon/Dread Fighter Delthea (Guide/Analysis)

Analysis

Delthea has the misfortune of being Alm’s Est, the archetype of which a unit joins extremely late into the game with amazing growth rates, yet is extremely underleveled with low base stats.

Delthea boasts the highest attack growth in the whole game, and has arguably the best offensive growths out of any unit, with 70% in attack and 55% in speed, but is somewhat hindered by her low 35% skill growth. But being a mage at base means that her low skill is somewhat irrelevant due to magic having set hit rates.

However her growths are purely offensively-oriented, having among the worst defensive growths at 30% HP and 20% defense, tied with Genny (barring Nomah and Mycen).

Regardless, Delthea can be an offensive nuclear magic powerhouse if given time to grow. But by the virtue of the Est-archetype, she hardly has any time to grow.

Delthea is a very high-investment unit should you want to use her. However, she does prove to be a potent fighter if given the time and effort.

Now, if you do invest time in her, then reclassing her into a Mercenary is definitely something to be considered.

Mage isn’t a bad class for her at all, it’s actually a great class for her since magic is always useful in the game. However, the Mercenary line does offer a few things that being a Mage doesn’t.

One of biggest problems that mages have is being locked to 4-move throughout the whole game. Having 3-range spells helps, but Delthea doesn’t have that. Once promoted to Dread Fighter, she will be able to jump into the frontlines with 7-move on top of her monstrous attack and speed growth, proving to be a highly potent frontliner.

Apotrope on top of Delthea’s stellar base resistance means she’ll be near 100% immune to all magic attacks, making her the perfect counter for enemy mages--including bosses like Jedah. Her HP will be slightly more improved as a Dread Fighter, however her defense will remain as low as ever-which can be a drastic problem if fighting physical units.

Another plus to the Dread Fighter line is that she will have access to the Dread Fighter-loop, meaning she’ll be able to revert to Villager at level 10. Of course, her late join will mean that this may be unlikely, but it is something that can be of use if you would like to bring her into postgame.

A huge drawback to Dread Fighter Delthea is that she has to be a frontliner due to most--if not all--swords being locked to 1-range. Despite having amazing resistance, the Dread Fighter line does nothing to fix her survivability against physical enemies and being on the frontlines will leave her highly exposed. Despite this, the fact that Dread Fighter grants her an amazing speed stat, she will have a pretty good avoid-rate which can definitely help her survivability.

Overall, Delthea is a min-maxed offensive nuke that can deal crazy amounts of damage, but at the cost of her defenses. But her high resistance base combined with Apotrope will make her immune to almost all magic, making her one of the best mage-counter units as a Dread Fighter. However, her performance is heavily reliant on investment, and choosing to reclass her as a late-recruit does pose a high opportunity cost for the heavily contested Villager Pitchforks.

My Personal Experience

Kind of like what I said just above, I did have to think a good deal about if I wanted to use a pitchfork on Delthea. Around the middle of the game I was considering reclassing Boey since he was falling behind with his low movement and terrible speed, but ultimately I chose to hand it over to Delthea since I wanted a female Dread Fighter LOL.

True to her archetype, she did require a LOT of time and effort. I even turned to buying the DLC-exp maps just to train her up to put her on par with the rest of my party.

But man, it was pretty worth it LOL. It’s no question that she had the highest attack stat out of my whole team (she does have the highest growth), but somewhere out there, I knew Mila was watching over me cause I managed to get a Ladyblade in the Astral Temple around the time she joined LMAOOOOO.

Seriously, the Ladyblade was MADE for Delthea LOL. My gods, was her damage complete overkill. But I’m seriously glad I invested my time in her because she was a little monster with her damage and speed. I fortunately didn’t have a problem with her defenses since she usually managed to kill before she got killed, and she has good speed so her dodge rate was really high.

Arcanists, Witches, Cantors, and even Jedah stood no chance against the force that is Ladyblade-Dread Fighter-Delthea.

If you’re willing to put your time into Delthea and even gamble on her defenses, I definitely say give this build a shot ! Otherwise, the Archer line may be another build to consider to keep her away from the front.

   “ Hey, Lana! I was looking for you. ”  The fighter jogs up to the nun, carrying a parcel in hand. Its cloth is wrapped tightly, no threat of budging by mere accident.  “ I just got back from getting called back by the Lady, and she gave me some stuff to butter me up with, but I don't got a use for this kind of thing. So... you take it. ”

He passes it onto her, though he still tries to handle it with some care. He doesn't think the package would break or anything, but the act of doing some extra chores back in Adrestia so he could request such an item makes him unwilling to be rough with it.

Within is an elegant dagger that is as easy to wield as it is to hide. The day they went to the market comes to him as he adds,  “ It should be better for you then that phony blade anyway. ”

He looks to her with some expectation — a small bubbling feeling of dread even, of fear for what she might think, that draws out a nervous gulp from him.

Finally got Celica’s Ladyblade! And holy hell it was NOT EASY.

You have to beat Xander, Validar, and Camila, who might summon pain in the ass Shadow versions of themselves, then fight Darios and his 4 pain in the ass Shadow versions who’ll take the base faster than I can say “Oh come on!”, then fight the resurrected Darios if you’re not burnt out by then, and then you have to fight Velezark! ALL IN 15 MINUTES TO GET THAT S RANK!

I had to do this twice (technically thrice) cause the first time, I beat the 15 minute clock by about 10 seconds, but I got an A rank because I didn’t kill 2000 enemies!

To be clear, I also think it should’ve been Delthea.  Or Luthier, considering he actually applies himself and Delthea’s just natural talent that didn’t really want to pursue that high magical importance.  But Luthier’s a boooooy, so he can’t be ascended.
