Peter quietly shut the door, and grabbed the handles off his bike, a stack of newspapers shoved into the basket in front. He sat down on the bike, ready to peddle when he spotted James walking over.

"Hey, Mate!"

Peter leaned over the handrails, "What you doing here?"

James shrugged, "Got your letter the other day about your new job and thought it'd be fun to see you in action."

Peter huffed, "But it's so early, James!"

James grinned, "Eh, I would be up anyway."

"Well hop on I guess", he motioned behind him.

James' grin widened and he ran over, jumping onto the back of the bike and wrapping his arms around Peter.

As Peter began to pedal down the road, James piped up.

"So your job is the same as an owl?"

Peter laughed, "Yeah, I guess."

"That's strange... I knew owls didn't deliver to muggles but why wouldn't they just get an adult with an actual car to deliver the newspapers?"

"Cause it's low paying I suppose, and some kids our age need a job and all. Plus it's early morning, so muggle kids can do it before school starts."

Peter stopped the bike, grabbing a newspaper from the stack and jumping off to post it through a house's letterbox.

As Peter walked back over to the bike, James' eyes widened with an idea.

"Hey, how far do you think I could throw one of these papers?"

Peter bit his lip, "If you break it or lose it then it'll come out my paycheck."

James huffed, "Come on, Pete, I'll just give you some galleons if something happens."

"Fine", Peter untied another paper and passed it James.

James grinned, rolling up the paper before glancing around, thinking about where to aim.

"Hey, what's the next house you need to hit?"

Peter pulled the list out his jacket pocket, "Number sixteen, just a few houses down.

"Great", James kept the newspaper rolled up tight in his grip, "Let's go!"

Peter headed to the house, but before he could come to a stop, James yelled out, "Watch this!"

He chucked the paper towards the house, it derolled in the air, and landed neatly right outside the door.

Peter cheered, "How did you do that?"

James shrugged happily, "It was easy", he nodded to the house, "Do you need to put it through the letterbox or is it fine like that?"

Peter smiled, "It'll be fine... You want to do that again?"

"Yeah", James reached over and grabbed another paper himself whilst Peter rode to the next house.

Honestly I dont like to pass judgements on faith and religion generally because I just kind of ... have a lower capacity for spirituality than other people and I'm ok with that! I like taking an anthropological/sociological view of religion and learn the philosophy and culture and come from a place of understanding. However, I'm at the point where I truly believe evangelical protestant Christianity is legitimately the work of the devil and I don't even believe in the devil. The way those people speak is cultish. The absolute disregard for other human beings except seeing them as one which can be dominated or assimilated is just pure evil. They legitimately do not see humanity in non-Christians. Actual colonizer mindset. This isnt even of course mentioning the absolutely terrifying political influence this faith group has had on politics. I'm starting to feel a knee-jerk disgust now at the very mention of Jesus and it's actually kind of crazy.

Canonically, Mac calls romanced f!sole stuff like "beautiful" or "knockout", the latter of which makes Georgia blush from hairline to chest. She gets flustered by stuff like that easier than she'd admit and Mac works over time trying to find more ways to get her like that lmao.

👪 - What’s their relationship with their parents like?

Before the bombs dropped, Georgia had a pretty good relationship with her parents! Her father, Arlen, was an investor and her mother, Camila, was an Avon saleswoman. Her mother was a bit of a helicopter parent, but most of it came from genuine concern about the world her daughter was growing up in (a trait Georgia later develops after Shaun's born, and even more so when she gets him back as a 10 year old synth boy later on). Her father wasn't always home, but she was a bit of a daddy's girl despite it. She spent a lot of time with him whenever he was home.

When she moved off to Boston for school, they were very worried, but her father specifically had to be talked into being okay with her leaving because that's his baby girl !! Her mother only got worried when Georgia announced she was engaged after only a few months and more than once tried to talk her out of such a fast marriage but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what can ya do
