‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme: Maha govt deposits Rs 999cr in bank accounts of 1.13 crore women

The MahaYuti government in Maharashtra has deposited Rs 999 crore through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode to the bank accounts of 1.13 crore eligible women beneficiaries of the ambitious Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, an official said on Thursday.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on the occasion of Independence Day interacted with some of the beneficiaries, reiterating the government’s commitment to implement the Ladki Bahin Scheme for their welfare and empowerment.

Highlighting the success of ‘Mukhya Mantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’, Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Sanjay Nirupam on Tuesday said that the scheme is on track and will soon reach two crore applications.

“The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana launched by the MahaYuti government for women in the state has received an overwhelming response. In just 25 days since the registration began, over 1.8 crore applications have been submitted,” he said.

Maha: ‘Ladki Bahin’ beneficiaries now eligible for ‘Annapurna Scheme’, to get 3 LPG refills a year

With an eye on the upcoming Assembly elections, the MahaYuti government in Maharashtra has decided to expand the scope of the Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana by including the eligible beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana who can now refill three gas cylinders free of cost annually in addition to receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500.

Maha Dy CM to launch statewide tour on July 22 ahead of Assembly polls

In a bid to reach out to the eligible girls and women ahead of the Assembly election, the beneficiaries of a slew of MahaYuti government’s welfare schemes, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will launch a statewide tour from Ahalya Nagar (erstwhile Ahmednagar) from July 22, which happens to be his birthday.

He will hold dialogue with girls and women in the Parner Ahilya Nagar City, Shrigonda and Karjat Jamshed and listen to their views with regard to the launch of Mukhyamantri Majha Ladki Bahin Yojana, Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana and several other schemes in the state budget for 2024-25.
