The Crew is the heart and soul of my fic For the Spirits. No one really knows just how important they will be to the story...how important they already are.

You know what, I just saw a fic where the ghosts from the zone think he’s a baby ghost right? We’ve all seen them and they’re super fun.

But what if it was the opposite? Most ghosts develop over time and absorb ectoplasm to get stronger right?

When Danny died he had a portal open on top of him fusing his dna with the realms. So much power shoved into such a small body.

When the ghosts see him they know he’s a halfa but what if they think he’s an ancient halfa?

They believe Danny is some crazy strong old ghost that needs to be defeated before he regains control of his power or gets his memory back.

Maybe they believe he implanted himself among the Fentons to help hide while he recovers.

Maybe that’s why walker is so made when he breaks the rules, he thought he was old enough to have written them

Eventually he starts to bond with the other ghosts and one day he asks one of them how they moved past dying.

I’m thinking ember.

They’re sitting on a roof one night after a pretty crazy fight and Danny just gets super quiet and ember asks him what’s wrong and he tells her the truth.

It would be 1 year since his accident and he still didn’t know how to accept what happened. How to accept that he had died and been reborn as something new.

Imaging her looking at this ancient level Eldritch creature that all of them had been trying to stop from getting stronger and realizing

Hes just a baby, they had been trying to stop a newly formed ghost from harmonizing with his core and discovering what his obsession was and they had succeeded.

If he hadn’t even been able to accept his death then his growth had been severely stunted by their intervention.

I wish I could find that fic where the actual oldest immortal was an Aboriginal Australian elder, and he and Andy dreamt of each other for thousands of years but never met, but he brought her comfort because of his connection with his descendants and his presence in her dreams (he ended up dying before Quynh came about). I've lost it and it pisses me off, because it is such a better idea than Uma freaking Thurman.

istvan seeing radzig in henry creates a whole new layer to his motivations and idk what I'm supposed to do w this. why does he care about henry and not every other orphan? henry's not special, it's not Really about him, maybe not at first. he cares about henry for selfish reasons just as he did w erik. henry was never the thorn in his side like radzig was - that kid is just being used, just as radzig is being used by wenceslas. the mere thought of radzig makes his blood pressure rise; ah yes, sir radzig kobyla of silver skalitz, though I haven't been there in a couple of seasons, I have had good standings with him in the past, he's a former friend, now a traitor. he survived the raid and is sabotaging us at every turn, we want his head on a spike, how can I use his bastard as bait to hurt him more, you just won't give up, you remind me of someone, definitely not your father that's crazy.

I mean, it’s not everyday you see someone with purple horns on their head (very cool horns might I add), nor see somebody associate with them.

Rewatched The Old Guard recently in preparation for the sequel and I enjoyed it a lot, but there's a scene right before the climax where Nile tries to leave the group because she doesn't want to be a killer. Bold statement by someone who joined the US military, but she admits that even though they try to train you to deaden your emotions, she hasn't gotten over the first man she killed. Instead, she wants to return to her family and treasure the years they have left together.

Of course, then she realizes Booker betrayed Andy, turns back, and ends up mowing down quite a few nameless baddies in Merrick's office building. She doesn't get a scene later where she grapples with that. Maybe she feels differently since these people hurt someone she knew - and there's something to be said for a film spending more time complicating the death of an unnamed Afghan man wanted by the US military than the deaths of a CEO's hired goons. (Similarly I appreciate the shot where after we see kindhearted Nile handing children candy, one of the children somberly eyes the gun on her hip.) Still, I'm curious to see whether this thread is picked up in the sequel. What's Nile's version of Andy's immortal "army" that goes beyond being a killer? How is she coping with the bloodshed that comes with it anyway?
