Isabela and Luisa are the same characters in plot development. They should be made into one/one should've been cut off

Uhh... Should I comment anything on this?? The only thing that combines them is that they both are burdened. But it's not even the same! Isabela is burdened because of perfectionism which is caused by her being the firstborn of the family. Luisa is burdened with her gift and the need to be strong all the time

Abuela was right when she said the cracks started because of Mirabel

Did they watch the movie??? (They also said it about Bruno leaving and Isabela misbehaving, but I CAN at least let these slide.)

The whole family aside from cold sisters are completely okay and unbothered by the whole thing

Rip Bruno, who lived ten freaking years inside the walls because he was afraid to face his mother. Rip Pepa who was on the verge on mental breakdown half of the movie (and had mental breakdown the other half). Rip Dolores who was prepared to watch the love of her life marrying her cousin.

Luisa should've stand up to Abuela if she's protector of tye family

Should we tell them that Matriarch is way too respected figure in Latin families for this. ESPECIALLY taking the fact that movie takes place in (technically) 1900.

my top 5 movies of 2024 (in no particular order)

1. fight club

i have pretentious film bro taste and i hate it. but genuinely this might be my favorite movie ever, it’s amazing and it frustrates me how misconstrued it is by most of its fanbase.

2. jacob’s ladder

this movie is so so so so so good!!! i’ve been meaning to watch it for a while, and i finally got around to it and it did not disappoint at all. the story is great, the plot twist was kind of predictable but still very cool, and it left me with a deep sense of dread which is the mark of a good movie in my eyes

3. longlegs

lee harker save me… this movie is awesome. nick cage’s acting is actually phenomenal (like, some of the bets i’ve seen all year), and maika monroe was also great in it. the plot is exactly what i love in a horror movie, it’s like a new silence of the lambs but with more religious imagery

4. snatch

this one is just. such a fun time. i was going to put hot fuzz on here, but i realized i’d seen it before 2024 so i chose this instead. it has all of the fun pulp fiction does without the frustration and discomfort i get from that movie. i firmly believe everyone should see this movie at least once, it’s an amazing time

5. the silence of the lambs

do i even have to say anything. it’s so good. go watch it.

funny how as a society we aestheticize/romanticize academia when in truth academia keeps you poor - you have a brilliant mind, you do so much for society, but in the end you're kept poor and under the tremendous weight of a glass ceiling.

and yet the more aesthetic academia appears more privileged, glamorous, true escapist. perhaps in a parallel universe academia is as ideal instead of being a dead-end.

My quick overview of Money in the Bank! Overall, it was a pretty good show. 7/10⭐

So happy that Iyo won the women's match. Love her 💜 Zoey was my sleeper pick to 2 win but I don't quite think she's ready yet. Trish is making her better every week tho. Iyo and Bayley are gonna have some drama now. I know it! The handcuff spot ending was great! I loved the creativity. Zelina showed out with that Code Red from the top of the ladder. And all the ladies where serving this their gear. As they should.

Gunther kicked Riddles ass, as he should. The match was good and Gunther looked great as always. Drew coming back was the highlight of that segment. He and Gunther are gonna kick the crap out of one another soon. And I honestly see Drew as the one to dethrone Gunther. Perhaps with some help from The Brawling Brutes again since Vinci and Kaiser are still a factor.

Surprise ! John Cena showed up and hinted that Mania may be in London in the future. My Aussie husband Grayson showed up and he and Cena had a good promo battle. Possible Cena/Grayson match in the future?? Because I'd love to see that when Grayson's leg is good to go. Grayson had a killer shirt on as always. That's one more to add to my wardrobe when I've got money.

Finn and Seth put on a banger match. Kinda wished it was Demon! Finn tho. Judgment Day is so clearly gonna break up soon and I am all for it. Finn needs to be free of the shit Rhea and Dom have going on. So does Damian. Personally, I think that Finn should start tagging with JD McDonagh and Damian should get a singles run.

Not a huge Cody fan but he kicked Dom's annoying ass so yay Cody! The match was okay. I've always found Cody kinda eh. And Dom's character with Rhea is just annoying.

Didn't really care for the tag match until Shayna pulled a GOATED move and smacked Rhonda up. Hopefully this either means Rhonda is gonna be gone for a while or Shayna is gonna give her the work in a full match/fued. Also, I'm happy for Liv getting the belt back. Don't really care for Raquel 🫠

Bloodline Civil War was a great match! Jimmy and Jey both showed out and proved that Roman is slowly becoming irrelevant. Loved seeing my man Solo kick ass! (even if it was his bro's ass😭) That's my man and I can't wait for him to drop Roman and get back on the same page with his bros. Romans's time on top is coming to an end and I can't wait for him to drop the belts. I'm a shield stan for life. But that man has become so bland both with his promos and his in-ring work. It's time for someone else to have the belt and be on top. I 100% think that Jey should be the one to dethrone him. Poetic Justice if you will.

The men's ladder match was 🔥🔥🔥. Shoutout to my man Ricochet for putting Logan through that table with that amazing spot. Shinsuke and Butch both looked really solid in the match. Hopefully, they'll let Shin get more screen time. (also let Pat come back. I miss him jamming out to Shin's music) Logan was okay in the match. His ring work is getting better. He works well as a heel and I loved the boys all ganging up on him. (not a Logan hater. Just thought it was funny) Damian did solid work. He was my sleeper pick and I didn't mind him winning. Though my husband LA Knight should HAVE WON THE MATCH!! Triple H will be hearing from my therapist. Papa Trip hinted after the show that Knight is gonna get a push soon because of all the attention he's getting. I can see him going after Austin's US championship since Theory's run is dry as hell and it's about time he dropped the belt.

Wade Barrett looked fine as fuck in that pink blazer. I'm obsessed and in love 😍

The Sami and Kevin segment was great. Love my chaotic BFFs

Rhea needs to drop the title already. Cuz girl ain't doing shit with the locker room.

Episode 2.18 Up The Long Ladder

The enterprise receives a SOS signal and finds two different colonies in need of help. One is a over the top stereo type Irish family and another which of consists of clones. Of course Riker pines and eventually bangs the "farmers daughter" type and also gets his DNA stolen along with Pulaski's to make more clones (why would they want to make more of her I don't care to know). I'm not sure why Picard just brushes off the fact the clone side just assaults and steals DNA from two of his crew.

just finished watching jacob's ladder and pulled up a youtube breakdown vid of it as i often like to see if other people got the same message/feeling from the film as i did and oh my god the unbridled rage i feel towards this reviewer who just called the entire government experimentation 'ladder' plotline a "mcguffin to rationalize jacob's spiritual encounters" and spends a whole section talking about the soldiers in the group being war heroes even though they're american soldiers in the vietnam war like you've got to be kidding me.

Like i was already annoyed bc the reviewer did the classic thing where they saw a psychological film with an open ending and went "no what literally happened is the easiest and most straightforward interpretation" but then to like. completely miss the main plotline re the horrors of war crimes committed in vietnam and the abuse committed by the american government to their own soldiers like?????? did we even watch the same film???????
