McCoy MeCations, Relaxing, Rewinding,Regrouping in the Desert Sun

I call this “Holly Golightly In The Digital Age.” No surprise that Holly Golightly’s digital doppelgänger - my dear friend, Kelly Golightly - is standing directly on my left. It was taken at the Sant and Abel and Parker pajama launch trip at Le Parker Méridien Palm Springs a little bit ago this spring - one of the most magical mid-week trips I’ve ever experienced, filled with people who lit up my heart and swelled up my soul. And, now, I’m back to have my soul relit. Listen, the past 10 days have been a doozy. Challenging. Trying. Heartbreaking. And, building. So, when Visit Greater Palm Springs invited Nick Yedinak and me to Coachella Valley to spend some time in my favorite part of California and share my favorite spots of the desert, I don’t think I even took a breath before saying “Yes. Yes, please.” This is my getaway. My respite from the city. My respite from the daily grind. My respite from reality, to be quite frank. It’s my place where I go to breathe. Relax. Regroup. Recharge. Rewind back in time to the days of Doris Day and Dean Martin. RESTART. To happy hours and happy times. To full hearts, full bellies and full families. So, we do just that here now. Relax. Regroup. Recharge. Rewind. Restore. And, restart.
