Sometimes it’s frustrating when our #kidssports don’t get the same #sports #sportsfunding as others. For example, #lacrosse - although the fastest growing sport in the US- gets hardly any recognition nor funding compared to football in our area. As y’all know, my son takes his #lacrosse very serious, it is his one #sportpassion. Chance plays #yearroundlacrosse #yearroundlax Since we are a #homeschool family with private high school classes, I’m not new to paying for all of my kids’ extracurricular activities but having Chance in public school this year so he can continue to #playlacrosse has opened my eyes up to just how little the school provides to these kids. Many of the families are not as blessed and can’t put out the good amount of cash needed to keep these #lacrossekids #lacrosseguys in gear. I found out his coach even gives up his stipend to help pay for some of the costs. As a team he set a pretty good fundraising goal of $10k. I know - steep, right? Except that we already have 45 kids on the team and it’s #offseason ! That’s impressive for our small town IMHO. So - what does this #lacrossemom do? Much to her kid’s dismay I sign up to help with #teamfundraising - all of these #laxbros should be able to play - just like the football players. So- all of that to say- I’m going to be donating 10% of all of my #lax #laxshirts #laxdecals #lacrosseshirts #lacrossedecals #lacrosseitems to the team fundraising until December.
