Mordecai likes technology, that much is clear.

He'd end up setting up a technology review YouTube channel (with Viktor as an unwilling cameraman) as per Ivy's suggestion.

He tries his best to make a serious and coherent review, but Mordecai is naturally so dramatic that he ends up just being very comical, especially when he ends up not liking some equipment, and he just starts tearing it apart with words.

What do you mean he's acting for the video? No, that's literally just how he acts.

On another note, Freckle (being the streamer that he is) gets sponsored by tech companies and being sent equipment that he ends up not using, so he just gives it to Mordecai so he can review it on his channel. The opposite may also happen, with Mordecai being gifted something he does not particularly enjoy and giving it to Freckle, so he may use it on his streams.

Seeing as this back and forth continues to happen, Ivy gets the idea to have them edit their videos and stream cuts so that they literally throw the equipment boxes at each other.

Freckle gets very soft throws, seeing as Ivy throws it to him during stream, but Mordecai, having Viktor as the one throwing, doesn't get the same privilege.

Boxes are thrown on him so hard that entire compilations are made of him being knocked down by them multiple times. It's not uncommon to see him limping during a video because a box was thrown at his leg.

The Savoys watch these compilations on loop. It's just so funny to them!

Since people end up getting preoccupied that Viktor is going a little too far, Viktor, being tired of receiving notifications of people asking if their relationship is healthy, let's Mordecai throw a box at him once. He doesn't feel a thing, but after saying the most nonchalant and monotonous "ouch" ever, people would realize that it's, in fact, okay.

Mordecai's comedic timing is so perfect that a bunch of gifs of him being disappointed would be made. They would become emojis on Freckle's streams.

Note(s) : Uh, so, I'm kind of going through a sexuality crisis while I write this, so the romance aspect is sort of lost, I'm sorry.

I think he'd most appreciate somebody who won't dance around subjects, he can't read emotions well and so people being coy just doesn't make any sense to him, he prefers somebody that's straightforward.

Mordecai is fairly demanding, but he doesn't mean it to be a dick, he just has preferences and won't be with you if you aren't them. He doesn't expect you to bend over backwards and only do things he likes, so he won't bend over backwards only doing things you like.

He'd frankly prefer you to have a style that's symmetrical and clothing that's clean and proper, if you can't afford that or have an unsymmetrical face or body, he tends to stare a lot and be more snarky towards you. Mordecai won't end the relationship over that, it just bothers him a little.

But he's more than willing to pay for symmetrical clothes, or just steal the clothes off of a corpse for you.

He wants to teach you how to use a gun, just so you can defend yourself in emergencies. Mordecai always keeps a gun hidden by your bedside table, just in case of a break in.

That is if you aren't already working for Asa / know how to use a gun already, in which case he's slightly less overbearing but will still insist on sharpening your skills a little.

You two may or may not live together, it just depends on what both of you are comfortable with. He definitely doesn't want to share a bed, he'd only want to sleep with you if it's a situation where you need to, or you just fall asleep from exhaustion on the couch or something.

You and him keep your relationship secret in case somebody could use it against you, but somehow, someway, Serafine and Nicodeme find out. Mordecai has no idea how, neither do you, they just... Did.

Serafine and Nicodeme tease you two about your relationship all the time, luckily never in public. Cheesy things like 'aww, you two look so cute together', just to see Mordecai's face drop, he's mortified whenever he sees the siblings and you happen to also be near.

If you two were together when he was working for Lackadaisy, I imagine that he was the one trying to convince you to leave for Marigold. Your relationship could end over this if you refuse to leave, and while he'll hesitate in killing you, he won't be afraid to shoot you in the leg if you end up on a mission against each other.

Mordecai doesn't like PDA at all, it makes him feel awkward and uncomfortable, especially in really crowded areas or where people who know him are. If you try to initiate a hug or a kiss he sort of just stands there in complete and utter disgust or begins hissing.

He's not cuddly or lovey dovey when you two are alone, either, he gives you a small kiss on the cheek if it's been a hard mission and you're injured, but it's a little stiff and he clearly only did it to make you feel better.

Mordecai is semi okay with hugging, it just depends on when and where, if you two are alone? Here, a quick side hug. If you're in a crowd? Don't even touch him he will probably transform into a ficus.

Surprisingly he's an alright dancer, just only when he's alone, and maybe if he's alone with you he can dance with you. He can appreciate the symmetry and beautiful hard work that goes into more classical dances, like ballroom dancing or ballet, but he despises the free form moves of things like Jazz, it's too liquid and unpredictable for him.

• Mordecai is a very analytical tomcat, and you being without fur is certainly... analyzed.

• You're just a regular at the Marigold who stands out to him for your appearance, and definitely no other reason.

• It's not because of the way the lighting makes your bared skin look heavenly, nor is it because of how easily he can see the way you blush around him.

• Yeah, he's in denial about it, that's for sure, but a gentle nudge in the right way and boom, he melts like butter on a hot pan for you.

• In private, of course. He has a reputation to maintain.

• Though, he definitely doesn't mind silently adoring you from across the Marigold.

• And if anyone so much as maliciously looks at you because you're different, well, Mordecai is very good at hiding both his feelings and the nondescript adult sized bags he "takes care of."

Rocky Rickaby

• Imagine if you will, being a god/goddess. People throw themselves at your feet, and want nothing more than to sing your praises until the end of days.

• That's how Rocky sees you.

• To Rocky, seeing you is like Romeo seeing Juliet. There isn't a better phrase to describe it than utter adoration.

• Unlike Mordecai though, Rocky's love for you is no secret.

• In fact, if you let him, he will go on for hours about how beautiful you are, building shrines to you with rhymes and prose, as well as painting you as heaven-sent bliss with the saccharine notes of his sweet symphonies.

• Yeah, there's no better way to put it, he's smitten.

• He also really likes the way it feels when you hug.

• Ivy has a tendency to "collect" people.

• It's something she isn't super aware of, but it definitely affects your first couple of interactions.

• Ivy is totally entranced by you, and while at the beginning it's mostly just because of your lack of fur, it begins to become more and more about you as a person.

• She gets ahead of herself. A lot. And you definitely need to ground her sometimes.

• Yet despite it all Ivy genuinely adores, in a way that's not her finding interesting people, getting to know them, and then just moving on.

Calvin "Freckle" McMurray

• On a more comedic note, Freckle is the one to make sure that all your needs are accounted for, even if it means being a bit overprepared.

• It's not that he's wilfully ignorant or dumb, he just needs a gentle reminder every once in awhile.

• The sunscreen and extra layers when it's cold out is very sweet of him though.

• Freckle's similar to Rocky in that he absolutely adores you, treating you like an angel sent from above, even if that is a bit sacrilegious.

• Unlike Rocky, he's not overtly affectionate, aside from packing things you may need because, well, no fur.

• Instead Freckle hangs off your every word, silently appreciating you. Just being in your company is just... amazing to him.

• Also, since he's usually worried about you being cold, you get the perfect excuse for cuddles too ;3.

Besides Rocky, I believe that Nico would also have such a tight (much more stronger) grip around you when sleeping and or cuddling, usually the big spoon, soft yet deep purrs leaving from his throat and his legs tangled with yours as he lovingly squeezes you and only somewhat makes it hard to breathe. He's not adamant on wanting to keep you extremely close to him or makes any noises that indicate that he's not a fan of you trying to slightly wiggle out of his embrace unlike a certain someone.

Knowing Zib, he'd definitely be very blunt around you. As well as hysterically honest. He doesn't hide anything, so you aren't free from his comments. Of course, Zib doesn't have any ill intent, it's just how he is. So it's always unexpected when he sees you or other people take it too personally.

Zib has no care for those above or lower than him. As in, he'll be straightforward and offend them no matter what. You're definitely not safe from this, nobody is.

He's a very passionate man, since he still remains within Lackadaisy performing despite the lack of customers. So, expect a lot of saxophone playing & serenading! If you happen to play an instrument, he'd definitely encourage you to play. Even if it's just for a small crowd. Zib values music more than anything (including smoking & acholic beverages).

For meetups, Zib would prefer the Speakeasy; but if we're talking about miscellaneous locations, it'd probably be in cheap restaurants (preferably Italian if he truly has an appetite), lonely streets or areas where he can smoke in peace. He isn't the type to explore rich, clean areas like a lot of other men, and frankly, I don't think he gives a hoot.

He's pretty affectionate, mostly in private. He appreciates cuddling a lot, especially after a rough night. Zib doesn't think affection should be limited to romance, so if you two are alone, he'll definitely hug you a lot.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed he enjoys Eastern religions and philosophy. He's pretty shy about talking about his interests, mostly because he likes to keep an apathetic, cool outside demeanor. If you somehow get him to open up, Zib would never shut up. Once you open the door, you won't be able to close it for a long time.

Surprisingly, he's very comforting. Any hardships at all, Zib will always be at your aid. He's also gentle as well, especially due to it being a vulnerable moment for both of you.

Me personally I like to imagine human Mordecai as one of those people who started going white at a very early age, so he has a white streak through his hair.

Zib and Wick (as a couple) are definitely THE most touchy people in the world. They're both touch starved, so naturally, they can't stop touching each other.

In the speakeasy, at home, in Wick's car, literally anywhere you can think (that's not completely public), you can see them holding hands, wrapping tails, kissing, sitting almost on top of each other, leaning on shoulders, lap, chest, etc. Zib especially likes caressing Wick's cheeks!

OH MY GODS it took me SO LONG to write this fic bc I felt burnt out after my last one lmao. While this fic can be read as romantic if you really want it’s meant to be platonic. I’m not really used to writing (or even reading) platonic fanfiction if I’m being honest, and this turned out to be longer than I��d anticipated and isn’t my best work but I hope y’all like it.

SUMMARY: Your first rum-running gig with Lackadaisy and Rocky as a Healing Witch

WARNINGS: Little bit of blood and violence w/ guns but nothing too bad

Rocky is always getting himself into trouble

Everyone knows that

But something everyone does not know, however, is that you are one of the most powerful healing witches in the entirety of St. Louis

AKA the one force keeping Rocky from his succumbing to his death

And no one cares more for his safety than you do

Your expert healing skills always aid him after a long time out completing odd-jobs for lackadaisy

And you've found you’ve needed to heal him more often day by day

Sometimes its internal bleeding, this one time it was pneumonia

(And there was also that ear he never let you touch with your magic)

But most commonly its bullet holes

You still remember the first time you healed him

And you still bring it up wherever he does or suggests doing something stupid by himself

Shortly after you applied to join him on his quests for The Lackadaisy he took you with him to a random abandoned house in the middle of the night

It was a mansion built in the early 1800’s that could have once been a beautiful, eloquent structure, but was now no more than an old, creaking pile of wood

It stood tall in the night sky, a silhouette in front of the pale moon

The mansion casted long shadows that stretched across the barren farm fields it resided, shadows you and Rocky currently stood in

The objective of your first mission with Rocky was to retrieve an old case of whisky that hid deep in the cellars of the manson for the Speakeasy

A rather unnerving mission for an already eerie night

Being the motherly figure you were, you had tried your absolute best to hurry the expedition up

You knew when you signed up to work with Rocky that there would be trouble everywhere

But because of the fact that you obviously could not ever get him to stop working for Mitsi you decided patrolling the missions Rocky went on was good enough

Your so called “Patrolling” seemed to come up short because right after clawing your way into the house a suspicious figure seemed to move ever so slightly in the opposite side of the house, shaded in darkness

That figure held a gun

A bullet flew straight into Rocky's chest

With no time to heal or fight, you decided fleeing was your best option for survival

Taking Rocky's falling body into your arms and heaving him onto your back, you ran through the dark night

Gunshots sang behind you, some whizzing past too close for comfort

But all you could do was run as fast as your legs allowed you with Rocky’s dead weight on your back

And no, he wasn't very heavy (Which was something that concerned you from time time)

Your legs continued to pump into the earth until you reached your car and haul Rocky into the passenger seat

Turning the engine on and stepping on the gas, you made your way past the barren farmlands of the Manson as fast as you could and into an overgrown forest

Trees and leaves and bushes and shrubs were all a mixture of brown and red and yellow bathed in nightlight as you sped past them

You hadn't realized how much time had passed until your came to a screeching halt the top of a falling cliffside at the edge of the forest

The cliff overlooked the Mississippi River, which eventually gave way to the twinkling night lights and tall gray buildings of St. Louis you had come to love

You let out a long sigh as soon as you saw the site, realizing you’d been holding a long breath since your escape from the manson

Unlike the Mississippi River and golden lights of St. Louis, you did not like the sight right beside you

The one you had forgotten since leaving the manson in your previous terror and panic

He was breathing so heavily, on the verge of unconsciousness

A paw pressed against the bullet hole, a futile attempt to stop the blood from seeping out

The red, red blood now a shade of mahogany in moonlight

Fear rushed through you

Rocky had been so nice to you

He didn't mind your witchery in a place where your people were discriminated against

He had shown you a job in a place where money was scarce and people slept hungry

He had made you laugh more times than you believe you ever did in your childhood, more times than you ever imagined you could when you first moved here and were one of those people sleeping hungry in the streets of St. Louis

Even though you were the person who took care of others, the “mother” of the Lackadaisy Speakeasy, Rocky had taken you under his wing

Holding a hand out in front of the hole, you set to work with determination

Light radiated from you, washing the car in the color of your magic

The light cascaded out of the car and into the forest

Even though you couldn't see yourself, you knew your pupils had turned your color, too

Internally you chanted your mantra as you focused all of your energy into healing Rocky, binding and knitting his skin and flesh back together at an achingly slow pace

Luckily the bullet had not hit any vital organs, straying to the left of his body

If it had, though…

You shivered

A couple of minutes later you felt that familiar satisfying feeling of healing course through you and you knew the job was done and his skin was okay again

The night had turned to dawn before you realized it, and all that was left to do was to wake Rocky and return home, tired and beaten

You took some time breathing in and out after the nights events, recollecting your thoughts and turning back to the wheel to start the car up

Rocky eventually opened his eyes as you passed over the bridge that brought you closer to home

You noticed he was awake when he shot up and grimaced, shutting his eyes and hissing as he settled back down

Even still Rocky managed a sleepy smile in your direction as he croaked a low “Get me some pancakes later, will you?” before falling into a more peaceful sleep than earlier

You finally felt relieved as you drove back to The Lackadaisy, making a mental note to scold Rocky later

Even long after the whole ordeal of your first mission with Rocky everyone in the speakeasy made remarks on your relationship with him, commenting on how you baby him around as if he was no intellectually smarter than an infant

Not that those comments offended Rocky or you

ZibWick Headcanons:

OOOOOOOOOO boy. All I gotta say is opposites attract in the best way possible.

Oftentimes Wick invites Zib over to drink some fine scotch or gin, and said times end up with both of them tangled in each other in bed. Definitely not a regret, but certainly a surprise once the hangover kicks in.

On those nights where Zib stays the night, he and Wick would just cuddle up to each other in bed, and Wick enjoys hearing Zib sing for him.

Wick is a bit insecure about their relationship, but moreso if Zib would get hurt. While there was the "Pansy Craze" in the Roaring Twenties and plenty of people from the LGBTQ community, he was still unsure if the world around him would accept the fact that he and Wick are in a same-sex relationship with each other.

Bisexual Wick and Bisexual Zib! Both of them being a bi power couple because yes <3

Wick's fur is soft. REALLY soft. He's Zib's pillow sometimes.

And it was in that moment you know…you fu**ed up. They laugh. Hard. “S/o did your ass say something or what?!” They will make fun of you, and probably use it against you whenever they feel like it. But If they see that it hurts you, then they’ll tone it down of course. Honestly, they probably already have been farting in front of you before and laugh about it, especially if you make a funny face.

Asa, Nicodeme, Serafine

Those cats doesn't give a fu*k. You must likely get a quick side glance, but that’s it. They are respectful and grown up. Everyone farts, it’s natural. Why make such a fuss? But if they notice that you are freaking out about it, they will simply tell you, “Don’t worry about it s/o, it happens for everyone. I'm not gonna make fun of you.” (or something like that). However they expect the same respect from you if they ever would let out a fart as well.

Atlas, Viktor, Dominic, Elsa, Mrs Bapka, 

Disgust…Is written over their face. “s/o did you just…gross..” Will probably move a few steps away from you. They won't be like that for long tho, but they expect you to apologize for your little “mistake”. This will never happen to them of course! They excuse themselves to the bathrooms or when they know nobody is around. 

Mordecai, Ivy, Abelard, Lacy, Nina, Mitzi?

They are quiet and give you a surprised expression 👀😶 They are trying to think of what they should say or do. Should they tell you it’s ok, it happens? No then s/o might be even more embarrassed. Should they just laugh it off? No that would be mean. Maybe they should… But under those seconds they are trying to think of something. They are either giving out different weird face expressions or looking at you with a straight 😐 face. Which may come out the wrong way.

Wick, Calvin, Horatio, Bobby?

Looking at you and then giving you a little teasing smirk. “Did you hear something, hmm?” But they would stay at that. They would self be a little embarrassed if it was them farting in front of their lover, so they wouldn't make a big deal out of it. They have probably been covering it up when they fart and talking about something or gone somewhere else with you to avoid the smell.
