RAGNAROK PROPAGANDER HIGHJACKED THIS POST PREPARE YOURSELF (Also I tried my best not to spoil anything) --
here are the pros
badass female characters, like they have so much focus without being sexualized or having their spotlight taken, (mentioning here that so far only one has been somewhat hinted to be a romantic interest, but even her character doesnt revolve around suho, more just her workline as a hunter). Heck one of the main characters is a female who has her own bubbly personality.
20x the beru moments
Comedy
found family with monsters and dead people (but also like sungs family too are also really helpful and even the inlaws get along its so nice everyone really helps each other in their own ways to the point where it just hits you with the feels knowing the people that suho wants to protect and at the same time THEY also want to protect/help suho and jinwoo. at the end of the day the sung family is so freaking wholesome when it comes to wanting to see jinwoo again that to me is the cutest)
Suho is a menace
The battles vary a lot in terms of places and villains, with the lore always connecting to something bigger. (some events are not usually seen since its a long read, but at a second re read its obvious that they planned things beforehand)
THE SHADOWS SHENANIGANS
The worldbuilding is expanded a lot more here, not just writing upon what the Solo Leveling world had. Even the minor concepts in the og SL are brough up and become an important plot for the story's structure. Taking for example the ingridients that Jinwoo needed to get for the Holy Water of Life Potion have each their own little story behind it.
Cons
No Jinwoo
Very very little romance, like none so far actually (So far only two instances of other characters assuming a character had a crush on Suho. (I see this as a pro for me tbh but I get romance is a popular subplot)
Its long... 300+ chapters and it hasnt even come close to the end.
Thank you for your kind words you really inspired me, when I will post the fanfic I’ll be sure to gift it to you kkk.
Welp it’s technically not a question so here’s one. Should I read SL: ragnarok? Every sequel of popular series always end up giving me a whiplash so I’m not sure if I should go for it kkk.
Awww thank you! 🤗
Well, it's up to you (you should, really)! Ragnarok is different though; it gives more world building into the universe, the Monarchs having more depth and character, and there are lots of twists and turns. Sung Su-ho may be different from his dad, but in a good way. He's shown to have more funny moments, his powers aren't all copy-paste from his Shadow Monarch of a dad, and the way he interacts with others is pretty enjoyable, some interesting if I might say 👀
The manhwa is rushed and took a 360° spin in the plotline, so I'd prefer if you read the novel first as it has more thorough details :)

#for Jin-chul#specifically for jin-chul as i am writing him in the fic im working on#if u guys want a title or snippets u should tell me bc i will give them to u but only if i know theres like. interest. u feel me?#also keep in mind it def won't be done for. a while. im unfortunately v busy rn and abt to become even busier. haha. but i can give nibbles#anyway back to the Weave. if this one had a title it would probably be Woo Jin-chul and the Dreamcatcher of the Past. or smthg like that.#in the sense of getting caught on#its not that he hasnt let go its that he remembers and nothing else is quite as good as that remembering#grief has made a home in his heart and lives there like a tumor but hed rather rip out his own heart than let anyone cure him of the cancer#so he just dreams of the things he cant have anymore and keeps them safe out of reach and never lets anyone else touch them#he gets hung up but also forces himself to keep pushing forward because if he doesnt he'll die- mentally and emotionally yes#but also physically because the world they live in now is one ruled by power and cruelty and its not safe to live any other way#jin-chul isnt safe. he makes himself unsafe so that other ppl have a chance to BE safe. but he remembers when he was and part of him#cant move past that. cant stop longing for it with his whole heart. its v sad of him honestly#i think thats why Sung Jinwoo's actions as well as the man himself meant so much to him. because here was this person who was SO powerful#but instead of using that power within the new system to start oppressing others and propel himself to the top or be casually cruel#he kept a sense of self and honor and duty. he wasnt always 'righteous' but he did truly try to save lives when they were in danger#and never lost sight of the value of those lives. to jin-chul someone like that must've felt like a miracle after all that time#and been something he deeply cherished and coveted personally.#even if they didnt know each other that well im sure that sung jinwoo's presence mustve been something that crossed jin-chul's mind often#and reassured him.#anyway. jinchul and jinwoo's relationship is just something i think about a lot.#i love them so much. literally nomming on them as we speak#SL#solo leveling#Woo Jin-chul#woo jinchul#sung jinwoo#web weaving#also there is a truly appalling lack of fanart of my baby#im not an artist guys. i cannot fill this hole in the fandom. TT devastating

I’ve been having a fever, so have a bit of jinchul meeting AB and becoming their successor
a small warning tho, there’s not really graphic description of gore and abstract decaying descriptions as well as AB being cryptic and Jin-Chul having near hysteria
Everything smelled of rot here.
Jin-Chul remembered hot searing pain, the cracking of his own bones and muscles tearing like an old cloth that wasn’t needed anymore. Before losing consciousness to darkness from shock of pain, he saw his own limbs twisting in ways they clearly shouldn’t be for a human.
To think he was killed like an unwanted doll some child got bored of and decided to see how long it will take before it falls apart. Well, he did expect death as one of endings to his extremely stupid decision of coming to double dungeon Hunter Sung fell a victim to because of course it’s his job to jump after S ranks when they do something. He doesn’t regret his own death, now that he thinks about it (he’s able to think?), but dragging others with him leaves him with a strong taste of bitterness on his tongue (his own blood?).
What he didn’t expect is to still be able to open his eyes after them supposedly falling out of his sockets from pressure. And he does wish his sockets were empty still because light that meets his is painfully white, even burning in its brightness. He instinctively closes them and frowns, bringing up his shaking hands to his face only to feel his cold fingers and lack of equipment. As he moved, he heard a really loud scrapping noise and crashing of metal pieces in absolute silence around him, feeling how some weight disappeared off him.
Jin-Chul took a long minute to stay with his eyes closed, trying to listen to what happens around him and wondering why he’s still alive.
Then again, is he truly alive or is it some agony hallucination he’s having as his mind went into shock from pain?
He really doesn’t want to think about it too much, not in his last minutes before he completely succumbs to agony and finally dies. Maybe he should think about something nice, but then again when something nice happened in his life?
Still facing down, he slowly lowered his hands, and opened his eyes. First thing he notices is a cold white marble floor he’s been sitting on this whole time, so stark white under his dirty bloody suit pants. He’s barefoot for some reason and it’s freezing, he can’t see his toes but he feels dried crust on them. Trying to move only made crust crumble a little and intensify bloody smell that mixes with already strong rotting scent.
(Was he rotting or is there something else that’s been rotting?)
Then he looks at his shaking hands, so pale and almost bloodless, cold to touch and so artificial to his own body. At first he didn’t even notice white ruined shirt he’s wearing but then same dark red crust (was it his own blood?) on torn sleeves made it look like his own hands were torn off and attached as an afterthought.
(He starts to feel like an old reattached doll more and more and he doesn’t like it.)
His hair is a mess from what he feels, but at least this messy curtain hides him from blinding light and need to face his surroundings right away, and he’s grateful for that. There’s also a dull pain in his forehead and he frowns once again, but this time he also feels crust crumble here too, and then warm blood leaks down his brow and in his eye, so he wipes it off with his hand. It’s disgusting and definitely not how he usually would’ve done it, but right now he doesn’t really care. He’s dying anyway so at least he’ll die in small comfort he can find.
(Curse this damned statue and it’s ridiculously giant stone book—)
There’s still that strong smell of rot around him but he’s not really bothered by it. It doesn’t make him gag and want to cover his nose. It’s sickeningly sweet and foul, with hint of wetness and dust to it. He awkwardly wonders if it’s actually his own scent.
「To think that a mere human can find their way into my grave.」
Jin-Chul twitches and goes completely still, holding his breath and staring down at his own hands. In silence a myriad of voices, male and female, elderly and childish, worldly and outwordly was an explosive cacophony that left his ears ringing. It was everywhere and nowhere at the same time, so close yet so far, embracing him fully but also staying away. He knew that something was addressing him, but he was too stunned to even react as echo of words danced around further and further into nothingness. He must’ve stayed silent for too long for the voice (voices?) to speak up again.
「You shall not fear, human. Rise your head up and face your God properly.」
Jin-Chul really wanted to go hysterical right now, because at the end of the day facing a God (is it truly a God, though?) in his dying moment absolutely wasn’t on his list. He really would’ve preferred to stay like that, facing down and just waiting for eternal nothingness, but something commanding in this voice (voices?) and looming shadow over him made him slowly rise his head.
He almost screamed seeing a gigantic white figure looming over him.
A man (woman? something?) with long, snow white hair that fell around them in a silky pool, almost merging with marble in color. Jinchul was partly glad that it blocked most of searing light from above and hid him from whatever was happening outside. Some of loose locks fell on Jin-Chul too, like a small waterfall, on his shoulders, arms and legs, as if he’s a stray butterfly that got caught in a spider web. A figure had empty glowing eyes, and staring back in them Jin-Chul saw sea of stars, so bright and vibrant in their long lived glory, yet so dangerous and distant.
Both kept staring at each other, none making a move or speaking up for a long time. That’s exactly when Jin-Chul noticed that his heart isn’t even beating and that all this time he wasn’t breathing. Realization didn’t terrify him as much as he would’ve expected.
Rotting scent intensified with this figure looming over him, and Jin-Chul, unable to hold eye contact any longer, lowered his eyes. This time he noticed that this being had several wounds in their chest, all empty see-through holes with golden crust around them. There’s white nothingness instead of meat or muscles, but marble ribs are visible, covered in golden cracked roots with blooming glowing flowers on them.
Looking down even more Jin-Chul absentmindedly notes that he can see their marble spine laying on floor further back with what was left of their flesh and robes. That would explain the rotting scent mixed with flowery sweetness.
‘So… the God can also die?..’
And then Jin-Chul snapped his head back up, staring in same unchanging eyes in fear. Can a God read minds? Did he offend them? Devoid of any emotion face didn’t tell him anything, instead proceeding to stare back.
「Humans truly are fearless creatures. To think you’ll dare to openly stare at my body and have such thoughts, yet We feel no offense in that. No wonder He decided to chose a human as His successor.」
Words traveled further into nothingness without leaving a God’s closed mouth. Jin-Chul kept sitting here unmoving, feeling how something cold and liquid touched his hand. His gaze unwillingly lowered, surprised to see a pool of liquid gold slowly accumulating around him and this being, flowing from holes he previously saw. It’s cold, yet at the same time it eases a subtle pain in places where it touches. Jin-Chul states in wonder and uneasiness as gold on his hand erases old ugly scars and eases pains in knuckles.
「We and you are dying, human. Tell Us, do you wish to perish with Us into nothingness or continue your existence?」
So he’s truly dying.
Jin-Chul wonders if it would be easy to just perish. To forget all this pain, and agony and just rest?
But then he’ll leave others alone. To die. To die painfully just because of his awful decisions. He’s afraid of death, he’s afraid of what comes after it. He remembers how Hunter Sung described death to him, out of nowhere when they were drinking tea.
Oh and tea and all small comforts that make life enjoyable and good. He remembers all warm greetings and sweet goodbyes, he remembers all those connections he formed in his life, bad and good, wrapped around him just like silky waterfalls he’s tangled in now. It hurts in all best ways, the memory and feels of what it means to live and be a human, and intensity of it is enough to make his heart beat one more time and for him to take a shaky wet breath to give a proper answer.
He stares back into golden universe, with certainty and no fear, eyes wet with unshed tears and lips quivering in crooked smile.
‘Yes.’
All it takes is a mere second of nothingness before figure above him hums in some sort of satisfaction and allows themselves to smile. And then skin on this beautiful face starts to rot in ugly charred black, as if being burned like a piece of paper, leaving behind marble bones and gold. Body falling apart as if a stone statue being broken to pieces, hair burning into decaying flower petals and gold flowing in waterfalls, drowning Jin-Chul in it. There’s no more bitterness and rot on his tongue, as flowers bloom in his mouth, filling it with sickening sweetness and making him drunk.
Jin-Chul remembered pleasing coldness, the cracking of his own bones and muscles sewn together by golden roots. Before losing consciousness to embrace of gold sea from relief, he saw a God giving their last gift before being reborn.

Two months later. And still no baby.
The morning followed news of Hae-In’s pregnancy announcement. You were still training and if you weren’t pregnant by now, that was the root cause.
You were pushing yourself too hard, Jinwoo knew it just by the sweat dripping from your forehead. The pressure from the association was the contributing factor that morning, paired with Jinwoo’s system quest, you and he weren’t doing so hot.
Each time you received Jinwoo’s load inside you, it was delivered on the hope that one would get you pregnant. One after the other, it grew way more than just a quest for him to complete. Jinwoo was driven to the point that he solely wanted those two little lines on that stick to prove that he was more than enough to look after you.
The whole day put Jinwoo in a foul mood, standing off by the viewing platform to witness your abilities alongside Jong-In. He wasn't participating, just mulling over how to smooth things with you and that strained apartment.
In a versus sparring match, Jinwoo put his money on you, despite knowing Jong-In’s abilities, yours were more of a utility. You were of the variety where you quickly learned that you were capable of fighting close and long ranged combat. Your abilities as a mage made you one of a kind for close quarters fighting despite your lack of experience. A perfect counter to other mage types like Jong-In.
The one ability Jinwoo took interest in was your direct spell casting. Royal’s Gatekeeper.
After the hunters finished swarming Jong-In with congratulations, he entered the area and faced you. Jinwoo’s eye twitched at the way you patted Jong-In on the back before standing in the indicated half box to await the match's starting point. He hated the way you were so friendly with him, loathed it, wanted to rip his hair out and slice the man up into pieces.
Like he was the ‘ultimate weapon’ and lately, Jinwoo found himself wanting to put that assumption to the test. It was clear who would win if Jinwoo took Jong-In on.
“Things are going to get hot in here.” Hunter Baek stood nearby with Hunter Ma, watching along as the match between two S-Rank hunters began.
“Yeah, but she’s pretty good at capture the flag.”
Baek shrugged and disagreed. “But Jong-In is pretty fast, she’ll have to break the distance first before she can even land a hit on him, her long range spell isn't refined enough yet, she's still got a long away to go. I'm not sure he’ll give her that chance at least, he was pretty riled up this morning.”
Ma scratched his head and rested on his chin over the railing. “But with her ability… makes it kinda difficult, right?”
Royal’s Gatekeeper was a peculiar ability which could beat Jinwoo’s shadow exchange in comparison. A direct summoning spell that essentially ripped holes in reality, making miniature gates for teleportation of objects and people. Shadow exchange had a three hour cool down, Jinwoo was working on reducing that tirelessly, however you just naturally received it, right in the palm of your hand without any delay, operating it in real time.
The things Jinwoo could do with that ability were infinite. For one, which you had displayed once before, was creating a way out of a red gate, allowing safe passage back. An escape spell.
Though Jinwoo did not need it to escape as such, he wanted it for something more elusive. The fascinating thing was that the gates themselves produced minute amounts of energy, explained by you to use practically none of your mana either. But if he controlled you, he had access to it.
Jinwoo watched you run towards Jong-In, eager to bridge that distance as quickly as possible to avoid his wider spread attacks. Jong-In however, fired repetitively, sending you on a run around in the arena.
On another note, not only could you present these gates for teleportation and switching, you could hide them too.
Hence why your perception was so high.
Now, as a mage type, your strength was nothing to brag about, while you could fight in close combat as an S-Rank, your overall strength still lied in distance or evasion. Your natural skills lied in more with your agility and perception, the other areas could use work.
Jinwoo preferred it that way. Because then, you were weaker and you would have to rely on him more for your survival. Your fierce independence was nothing to shake a stick at, but it proved more of a hindrance when it came to your relationship with Jinwoo. Yes, it was developing, albeit slowly, into a relationship. Just a strained one.
You most probably took that frustration out in your training, Jinwoo saw the determination across your face and it must have spurred you on after your close call with Jong-In’s fire spear. It seemingly burned you upon contact that was barely there as it whizzed past, and what damage resulted, faded away in a blink.
That was your secondary ability. Eye’s handmaiden. Solely for your own gain and that fact did not pass you as a healing mage. A being that drained significant mana when summoned upon instinct, you barely registered it, its presence merely as a passive outsider until the battle ended and you no longer took damage.
The summoned being healed you constantly, it could not be destroyed and would withstand even Jinwoo’s attacks, its sole purpose to serve you blindly.
Jong-In threw more fire and Jinwoo noticed the smoke screen, because as the fire and destruction came away from the essence stone walls in the corner of the training room, you were gone.
Disappeared.
Vanished from thin air that even Jinwoo’s perception couldn’t locate you.
Until a hole in the wall appeared, its darkened mass sparkling like a million stars in the night sky from inside like a vortex. Like a sheet of paper, it was flat and non-existent. But it was there. Jong-In noticed and acted on instinct, launching his spear right through until it shot back out from across the room and lodged in the ceiling at speed. It vibrated, shaking from side to side at the raw power behind his throw.
Yet you did not emerge with a hole through you, Eye’s Handmaiden remained stagnant on the side lines, keeping its humanoid arms taught by its side and casted no spells to your health.
Then, you cropped in view, right behind Jong-In and tapped him on the shoulder.
Ma gasped with an exclamation that Jinwoo would describe as a child on his birthday. “Woah! She got him- she got him… That was slick!”
“Well, I’ll be damned.” Beak crossed his arms with a pleased grin. “She’s improved…”
You tapped Jong-In on the shoulder which made him turn, revealing your path to victory right on his back.
So that pat on his back was a diversion for placing Royal’s Gatekeeper in a place she could secure the flag. Impressive.
Baek wandered over to Jinwoo with his finger quizzically on his chin. “I never knew she could place that on living things, she really has improved… Hey, Jinwoo? How’s things going with you two? I hear the association is riding your asses right now.”
Ma came over to join and stick his nose in things as Jinwoo tensed up under his ginormous hand on his shoulder. “Probably why she’s been trainin’ so hard. That’s a lotta pressure for you two.”
“I think we’ll be alright, these things just take time, right?”
Baek shrugged with indifference, Ma chuckled and watched you conversing with Jong-in. “I heard that- what’s that sayin’ the one about Rome? I was never built or somethin’."
“It's Rome wasn’t built in a day, Dongwook.”
“Yeah, that’s it!”
Well, Jinwoo wanted it built in a day, with his abilities, his shadows could build an entire city in a day for sure. While on that thought, he never took his eyes off of you, smiling away at something Jong-In said and waving him off like you were trying for a baby with him and not Jinwoo.
Just the thought made his blood boil and hiss under his skin. He hoped that your frustration still existed, because he was getting rough tonight. Jinwoo ensured it. And if you weren’t flustered enough by the time you reached the apartment, he’d find a way to get a rise out of you and expose that bratty attitude come the drive home after their invitation to a dinner hosted by Chairman Go.
“I guess so… Well, I’ll be going now, we have plenty to do before the association dinner tonight.” Jinwoo left with his hands in his pockets and stepped away.
“Sure thing! See you then!”
“Hold on, Jinwoo. I’ll walk you down.” Baek followed him off of the viewing platform with his hands tucked into his pockets and the world on his shoulders. “Look… I know this isn’t my place, but I wanted to ask you how things are really going?”
“Hm?”
“Things might look dandy on the outside, but things have gotten pretty dark the last two months. There’s been a lot of facade going on around here to show the Chairman we’re all on board with this even though we’re not.” He let your name slip from his lips. “And she’s a good person and she’s never been his riled up. Things are pressured and I wanted to let you know, I’m here if you need anything. I know what the association can be like at the best times, so when shit like this crops up, I can only imagine what you two are going through.”
Jinwoo was having the time of his life, and you’d come around to it eventually. Even if it was ‘just sex’ to you right now. But Jinwoo knew different and Baek sticking his oar in it shot up his hackles and they were pointing right at his idiotic face.
Though, Jinwoo wasn’t idiotic, he knew when to pick his fights coming from where he did. This was not one to get hung up on, not when you were waiting by the entrance to go home.
“Thanks, uh… it’s been difficult, but we’re both doing our part. I appreciate the sentiment- anyway, gotta go, I have things to do. See you tonight.”
“...Sure thing.” He wasn’t convinced, yet Jinwoo didn’t care.
His frustration riled him up enough through the day that he could have jumped in, dominated a dungeon and the rewards of levelling up still wouldn’t have satisfied him. His mind barely kept on the road and spoke no further in the car with you. You did not utter one word either. Even on the way up to the apartment, you walked two steps ahead like Jinwoo was a stranger to you
Well… That won’t do. As soon as you could step foot over that threshold, Jinwo would do all sorts of filthy things to you and he’d hear nothing about it. It’s just how things went for the last week, and secretly, he loved it. Craved it. Fantasised more about it which got him hard more times than he would admit out loud.
Almost there, and he’d fuck you angrily in to submission.
Almost, yet nothing close. Woo Jin-chul stood by the front door, glaring at Jinwoo down the hallway. “Good evening Hunter Sung.” He addressed you second.
“Why are you here?” You said. “We had the call with the association this morning, if you’ve come to lecture us, we already had both barrels this morning.”
You shot inside and left the door open for him anyway, Jinwoo followed in last and left the door to depressingly click with awkward silence.
Woo Jin-chul leant against the kitchen counter and cleaned his sunglasses absentmindedly. “I’m here on informal circumstances, I’m giving you a head’s up, nothing more. So I suggest you take the advice if you want this to work out.”
What could that be? If he’s made an unofficial visit, then the Chairman doesn’t know.
“What advice?” Jinwoo could tell you were tired from the way you were rubbing your eye. “We have this dinner to go to tonight, for Hae-In’s announcement. There’s alot to prepare before we go.”
“I’m well aware of your dinner, I’ll be attending along with the Chairman and it hasn’t gone unnoticed how distant you two are, so I suggest you use tonight as a way to get back into the association’s good graces.” Woo Jin-chul held out each finger as he listed the rules off. “No drinking, no murderous glares and certainly no eating irresponsibly… you have the nutrition pack we gave you. Stick to it. As for the do’s, at least look somewhat happy, it makes for a dull room otherwise. Keep public displays of affection to a minimum, this is Hunter Choi and Cha’s night. Though ensure the chairman is watching when you do decide to get appropriately intimate. He will be watching.”
You huffed and slouched, taking a glass from the cupboard to drink from. “When did this programme get political? We’re doing everything we can, I came off my pill not long before we started this, it can take up to a year, what’s the rush? We have to wait years before we see any results anyway- I don’t get it? All you’re doing is putting pressure on us- on me.”
A year? Jinwoo stared at his system screen in his periphery, one month left and he’d run out of time on the other end. It wasn’t that he couldn’t withstand the penalty, he just couldn’t be asked to. No way could he wait an entire year before getting you pregnant. He was already going out of his mind with this distance with nothing to show for it except great sex. He wanted to breed you so desperately, it ached, hurt his very being that out of all the things he could do, putting a baby in you was just something he was failing at.
No amount of leveling up or training could speed the process up or increase the likelihood. It just had to happen on its own and that was the frustrating part.
“How often are you part taking in intercourse?”
You almost spat water all over Woo Jin-chul. “W-what?! Why would you ask that?”
“I must enquire so I can give you more customized advice.”
“Jinwoo…” Your eyes were so wide and adoring when you were borderline pissed off. “Say something- no way we’re telling him that.”
He didn’t care who he told, preferably Jong-In to rub it in his face. But with Woo Jin-chul, there was a possibility for something in return.
No… no way could I be that lucky…
“Maybe we should hear him out- hold on.” His hands went up in defense. “It could get the association off our backs for a little while, right?”
When you didn’t respond, burying your face in your hands, Jinwoo took it as a cue to say out loud to the world how frequently the two of you had been fucking. “Three times a week. Like we were told at the start.”
“Is that true?”
You looked between the two men with flushed cheeks. “Yeah…”
“Then double it, preferably once a day, everyday. Starting from tonight. I trust it’ll help speed up the process, but if that fails, we’ll have to look at secondary options.”
“And what’s that?” You chased Woo Jin-chul towards the door as he opened it. “You can’t just say that and walk away.”
He sighed, slipping his sunglasses on over the threshold to the hallway. “We’ll have to look at pairing you both with someone else. Now that Hunter Cha is pregnant, the association has approved more Ranked hunters for the programme. So, if you want to skip more formalities and stick together, I suggest you do anything you can to get her pregnant, Hunter Sung…”
Jinwoo nodded and stood there in a state of shock as Woo Jinchul left and the door closed behind him. Another pairing was disastrous, downright wrong and bad and not an option.
Shit, how the hell could Jinwoo get himself out of this? He only just got you close to him. No fucking way would he let you go and if he had to take on the Chairman himself, he’d make him disappear into blood mist before he let himself slip from the lulling confines of the space between your legs.
How on earth was he going to sit across the table from that man who was set on ripping you away from him?
Self restraint. That’s how, though Jinwoo barely had much when it came to you.
He was fucking you tonight, and his load better take.

He can never figure out what goes on in that head of yours. Though you continue to stay with him, you always donned a paranoid, anxiety stricken expression that's barely concealed by the mockery of a smile you wore. Even if it was convincing to others, for him who's studied your features for ages, he could easily tell when it was genuine and when it wasn't.
It's not that you don't like him anymore—at least he thinks it's not. You acted skitterish whenever he initiated affection, yes, but you always reciprocated after a few seconds, craving it despite thinking it's wrong.
He doesn't understand why you accept his affection with such a guilty look. You bite your lip, eyes averting away from his own as you lean closer to his touch, tightening your hold on him just to make sure he wouldn't let go. You were a walking contradiction, and Jinwoo hopes you weren't this complicated.
He doesn't miss the way you constantly try to self sabotage, intentionally or unintentionally. You acted as if you were waiting on the day he'd wrung all his feelings for you dry, living every day with bated breath. It pained him to think of your actions, acting so distant despite longing for his affection more than anything else. What scared you so? What was it that terrified you so much you could never seem to find the time to simply bask in the moment and love for the sake of it?
What changed for you to act so differently? So scared of something, but counting on it to happen nonetheless. With what faith do you believe that something catastrophic would happen?
You who somehow ended up in the world of solo leveling. You don't know how you ended up here, was it reincarnation or transmigration? Isekai? You had memories of both the life you lived here and another life. It was confusing, seeing as both lives seemed similar to one another, the only difference being the presence of gates in this and the lack thereof in the other.
Fortunately or unfortunately—you vaguely remember reading a manhwa with a world building that fits the bill for the current one you lived in.
Solo leveling: a manhwa you've only recently finished back then. The main character? The man laying in bed next to you. Sung Jinwoo—your pathetic(loving) childhood friend Sung Jinwoo.
Since this revelation, you began to fear for your just recently blossomed relationship. The more Jinwoo played out what you've read in the manhwa, the more you worried about yourself. As far as you can remember, a character like you was never introduced, maybe they did, but only in a passing. Your lack of presence in the manhwa had caused fear to sink in and petrify you to the core.
What if Jinwoo plays out that certain part? Basing off on his current progress, Jinwoo was bound to meet Hae-in and get to know her more intimately from this point on. If that happens, what about you? What will happen to you who presumptuously stuck to his side even after knowing all this? Will you be cast aside? Forced to let go of this love just to follow through the story?
The fact that Jinwoo acted in ways that remained primarily loyal to the manhwa's story made you feel queasy. Will you be forced out of the picture when the time comes?
Thoughts like this gave way to self doubt, and self doubt then gave way to your self destructive habits. You couldn't love Jinwoo so sincerely anymore, couldn't look him in the eye without doubt creasing your features. The knowledge that he was fated to be with Cha Hae-in ate you up alive.
And if you think about it, who could be a more perfect pair for him? Unlike you, Hae-in was a capable hunter. Not only that, she was pretty, athletic, and not without a lovable personality as well. She was better than you, far, far better than you.
You felt yourself die on the inside as you came to terms with this fact. Resigning to your fate, whilst also wishing to be selfish, you reluctantly took whatever scraps of affection Jinwoo gave you. Before he'd move onto another, before he realizes how much you blinded him into thinking he loved you.
Sung Jinwoo notices the way you rarely cling onto him now. Instead, only stealing longing glances in his direction, hands twitching as if longing to touch but pulling away whenever you get too close. Every time, he gets the urge to just grab you by the wrist and forcefully wrap your arms around his neck, but he doesn't, afraid that doing so would only push you who slowly drifted apart from him further away.
He doesn't miss the way your body turns rigid when he mentions Hae-in in a passing. Your shoulders stiffen, and you bite your lip, barely holding back tears from the mention of her alone. That night, he spent hours comforting you, assuring you he would never leave.
Cha Hae-in was a sore topic for you, as noticed by Jinwoo. He thought it was petty jealousy at first, but now he had an inkling it was much deeper than that. You don't hold any sort of animosity towards her, matter of fact, you admired her to the point Jinwoo felt somewhat jealous by your zealous fangirling.
You seemed so sure he'd leave you for her, even encouraging him to spend time with her despite you clearly being uncomfortable with the idea. He's left confused by your antics, you don't want him to leave but you encourage him to get closer with Hae-in when you knew a simple no from you could easily convince him to cut off all relations with her and her associates.
Really, you seemed to have a penchant for contradicting yourself in the worst ways possible.
Sung Jinwoo feels his patience draw thin. Every attempt at a question was answered by a surety he found baffling. Did he seem that disloyal? He shouldn't be angry, he knows that. But seeing you slowly spiral into this complicated mess of a lover brings him closer to the brink of insanity as well.
What exactly would it take for you to see the way his heart burns for you only?

Can I pleeeease have some general bf headcanons for Igris x reader? Theres a severe lack of content for the knight in shining armour </3
Tumblr media
summary: igris x reader - what igris would be like as your bf. warnings: smut, fluff, just the regular hc silliness. author's note: thank u for the request <3 i absolutely adore igris. i hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
like jinwoo, igris is very introverted and suuuuper shy. get ready to be making those moves baby, because he won't.
he just refuses to believe that you actually like him.
he won't admit that he likes you until he actually has to lol
i actually imagine you fall in love with him without actually seeing his face, so when he finally takes that helmet off and reveals his long hair pulled into a manbun, fuckkkkkkkk, panties dropped. instantly.
but when you two finally (after so much yearning) start dating, igris will truly be the best boyfriend.
in comparison to his very intense and precise fighting style, igris is a very gentle lover.
he is so so so attentive, always keeping an eye on you no matter where the two of you are, and always knowing how you're feeling.
he has a very strong fear of losing you. seeing so much death had traumatized him to an extent, making him overly fearful of losing you.
he's a true protector, having been a knight for so long has instilled that command in him. he lives to protect you and keep you far far away from harm.
despite being very quiet and keeping to himself, he's good at communication and comfort. he's always willing to talk through a problem together and face any hardships as a team.
love languages - words of affirmation, quality time and a teeny bit of physical touch.
he's very articulate and good with his words, but not very touchy. i think he's so used to using his body to fight and protect that any soft physical touch actually throws him off at first, but he comes to love it later on in your relationship.
DO NOT LET THIS MAN INTO THE KITCHEN!!! he will burn it down. he never learned to cook and no offense igris, but don't try to learn, please. do us all a favour and stay away from the stove.
he's just so soft with you in your relationship. he loves to be gentle and kind for you (this doesn't apply to the sex tho. be ready to be bedridden after he's done with you. more on this later.)
back hugs. he absolutely loves to hug you from the back when you're cooking or doing work. he'll wrap his strong arms around your waist and rest his neck on your shoulder.
neck kisses. yeah. he loves it both ways, whether it's him coming up to you to kiss you while hugging you from the back^ or he'll absolutely lose his mind to the feeling of you pressing your lips to his neck.
bad texter. he's reserved, and also doesn't see the point of emoji's or useless texts.
goes MAD when you brush his hair. fuck. he'll close his eyes and pretend to fall asleep just so you keep doing it lol. he's so cute.
if you're mad at him and the two of you argue, he will get on his knees in front of you to apologize. that's just the type of man he is. i don't make the rules.
his favourite pet names for you include baby, PRINCESS (get it cuz he’s ur knight), love
super patient with you. never rushes you, lets you take your time and honestly just enjoys watching the way you handle situations, interact with people and overall go through life.
very jealous. he doesn't like other people fucking around with you. once he got you, he intends to keep you.
very very caring. he's the best person to have around when you're sick. he will sit by your side day and night until you are fully recovered.
speaking of being sick, he's the type of person to not want to inconvenience you so he will pretend he's fine up until this man literally collapses from his fever. fucking annoying. but he'll relish in every moment that you take care of him.
he's okay with pda. not crazy about it but if you like it, he will do it for YOU.
that's his attitude with a lot of things, if you like something and he doesn't he will still do it because he is just so down bad for you.
lowkey an adrenaline junkie. i imagine he actually really loves adrenaline and loves driving fast.
ok wait hear me the fuck out here. remember how i said jinwoo would drive a motorcycle? well he needs a partner in crime. someone to race with. who is that someone? you guessed right. it's igris.
they'll go on late night drives together all the time.
loves the gym. he's lowkey a gym bro. i mean hello, he's a knight so he has to stay in good shape but i think he mostly likes it as a form of stress relief (when fucking you is not available)
fav season is definitely winter. he loves to cozy up with you and really likes playing in the snow lol. (but don't tell beru cuz he needs to keep his mysterious and collected facade up around the other shadows)
he's kind of a child at heart. he comes off as super serious and he's very locked in when he's fighting with jinwoo but when he's with you he feels like he can comfortably relax and be a little sillier.
he screams morning person. he will wake up early to go on a run or go to the gym while you sleep in.
really likes taking candle-lit bubble baths with you. he loves having the two of you wash each others hair.
now for my fav: igris in bed.
this man is kinky. real kinky.
his bedroom energy is the same as when he's all worked up and in combat.
he likes to take control and he likes it ROUGHHHH
this man has insane stamina. never seen anything like it. (i can confirm i've been in his bed.)
he may be a gentle lover but that trait is far gone when he is absolutely fucking you into the mattress.
likes to have your ankles on his shoulders when he fucks you so he can hit deeeeeep.
really into choking and breath play. likes to see you squirm under him.
FACE SITTINGGGGGG!!!! he'll have u sit on his face for HOURS before that man lets you go. he's extremely addicted to eating pussy. don't you dare deprive him.
with that he's a huge fan of overstimulation. can you imagine omfg. "p-please igris, n-no more, i c-can't" you stutter pathetically, your eyes all bleary and hair disheveled from him pulling it while pounding into you from the back. "hmm i think you can take just one more princess" he'd say, his voice all raspy n breathy from going multiple rounds. "n-no" you plead, trying to pull away. it's just too much. he's fucked you out so good on his cock you simply cannot take it anymore. "shh, you're such a good girl, taking it so well, c'mon gimme one more baby" he'd coo, rubbing soothing circles onto the bruises he formed on your hips from how tight he held you. god. i'm so deeply unwell for this man.
he BITES. oh yes. he will bite you alllll over, leaving little love marks all over your neck, your tits, your ass honestly wherever he can mark you up, he'll do it.
huge fan of 69. he likes getting down and dirty TOGETHER.
also really likes to tie you up. especially to all 4 corners of the bed so he can do whatever he likes.
has the nicest cock hands down. not very thick but long and it curves upwards real nice so yk he's hitting that sweet spot in you every. single. time.
now hear me out: discipline kink. he really enjoys disciplining you.
you wanna act bratty? fine, but you won't be able to walk the next day and your ass will hurt. a ton.
despite him being jealous and possessive he likes threesomes. with jinwoo. i mean cmon he’s his main man, how could they not.
overall igris is the bestttttt lover both in and outside the bedroom<3

nsfw, Sung Jinwoo x fem!reader, 18+ content
Jinwoo lies on top of you, his hands holding your hips tightly, keeping you in the position he wants.
His manhood quickly slammed into you, making your messy cunt moan wetly. The bed creaked under your feet from his relentless pace and the force he used to thrust into you.
Each hard thrust almost took your breath away, feeling like you were dying.
Your body was burning, especially your cheeks and the sensitive spot that was being rubbed non-stop below your hips.
You felt uncomfortable, but more sensitive than ever.
The hot and itchy feeling was there, but Jinwoo made it less and that made you want Jinwoo even more.
Your lips couldn't close because of the constant pleasure that was coming, making you moan continuously. This scene made any man, as long as he wasn't gay, feel excited.
"Beautiful.."
Jinwoo looked down at you, his jet black hair falling over his forehead, his grey eyes now shining with amethyst, full of desire and passion. You and your lust-filled appearance were the most beautiful thing in his eyes right now.
A hand moved up to your cheek, gently caressing it. Then he leaned down, his lips finding yours in a passionate kiss and his hands roaming your body, tracing every line and curve. As gentle as his hands and kisses were, his thrusts were more intense than ever.
It made you clutch his back, your nails digging into his skin. The combination of the kiss and the forceful movement below left you breathless, your mind spinning, feeling like you could pass out at any moment.
He broke the kiss for a moment, his eyes locked onto yours as he smirked and whispered.
"Sweet… My lover is always so sweet. I wonder if other places are as sweet as this."
Then he moved his lips down to your neck, then to your collarbone, sucking and biting at your skin. His hands found your breasts and played with your hard nipples, thrusting into your core with a new, faster intensity.
You gasped and cried out in pleasure, eyes rolling back every time the tip of his cock hit your G-spot or cervix. Tears streamed down your cheeks, your back arching, pressing your body against his.
You were close to your orgasm.
"Oh, Is my beloved about to cum for me?" He whispered, the hand on your chest moving down to your clit, pinching it and rubbing it with his thumb in circles.
Immediately, you let out a loud cry as he brought you over the edge. Your body jerked and convulsed with resounding tremors. Your nails scratched his back, leaving faint red marks.
Jinwoo narrowed his eyes and growled as he felt your orgasm flow around his hard cock. A sense of satisfaction welled up inside him as he looked at your messed up and broken state.
He slowed his thrusts for a few seconds so you could breathe.
As your breathing slowed and your consciousness returned, he continued thrusting into your quivering pussy from a new angle.
You moaned loudly.
"Wait…Ah…Jinwoo…I-I just cummed…AH!.."
You squirmed trying to stop him, your hands on his chest hoping to push him away.
He chuckled at your lack of effort. Jinwoo grabbed your wrist and pinned it above your head. His other hand moved from your hip to your thigh, spreading your legs wider so he could thrust deeper into your pussy.
"But I haven't cum yet baby." He rasped, leaning down to speak seductively into your ear. "The night is long.. All you have to do is lie there and enjoy it.."
Somehow, his cock seemed to get harder and thrust faster into you. You felt like the tip of his cock was piercing your womb, making your eyes roll back and you forget all your previous pleas, the itchy feeling came back, and you lost in the feeling of pleasure he was giving you.
You didn't know how long you had been fucking and you didn't know how many times you and he had cum.
All you know is that before he shoots his final load inside you and you finally pass out from exhaustion…
The clock on the bedside table showed 6:00 am.

#?.6 [Chapter Concept]
Sung Jinwoo/Trial Player!Reader
Content Warnings: Some OOC-ness, kinda crack-fic (my poor attempts at humor), & UNEDITED
⚠️ MINOR SPOILER ALERT to my Trial Player AU
*This is Trial Player AU's Side-stories/Sequel Materials—subject to change. Draft-status—not detailed, messy, and currently lack major relevance to the main story.
This scenario is so unserious 😂, but I wanted to share something more light-hearted after posting that summarized drafts of The You I Love.
Take this with a grain of salt.
[Masterlist🦋✨️]
Tumblr media
You had spent the better part of the day organizing the house, tidying up and preparing dinner for your husband. Jinwoo had been particularly stressed lately, and you wanted to do something to lift his spirits. Humming softly to yourself, you made your way to the living room to call him for dinner.
“Jin, I—!” you started, pushing open the door to his study with a cheerful tone, only to freeze mid-sentence.
Three Jinwoos turned to face you.
The first was a younger Jinwoo, looking bewildered in his baggy hoodie and longer hair—the telltale appearance of his E-rank self. His wide eyes darted around the room nervously, trying to make sense of the situation.
The second was a hardened yet cautious version of Jinwoo, his posture rigid, his sharp gaze fixated on you with a familiar suspicion. This was him in the early days of leveling up, you took a lucky guess this Jinwoo had encountered you, but didn’t fully trust you he met yet, much less the current you.
And then there was your Jinwoo, standing between them with an exasperated expression, his broad shoulders and the way he instantly perked up at the sound of you immediately marking him as your husband.
“Love—” your Jinwoo began, but before he could get another word out, you held up a hand.
In a yoga-like motion, you brought your hand together, lips touching the sides of your fingers.
Deep inhale…
—And exhale.
“Haha, yeah, no.”
Without giving any of them a chance to respond, you spun on your heel, marched straight to the nearest window, and vaulted out of it.
. . .
Inside the room, the three Jinwoos stared at the empty space where you had just been.
“Did… did she just—” Oh, the lovely, lovely, lovely E-rank!Jinwoo looked completely baffled and horrified.
“She jumped.” A?-rank!Jinwoo stated flatly, his suspicious gaze flickering toward your husband. “What the hell is going on here? And what's up with her?”
Jinwoo—who just seconds before being asked looked on pleadingly to the you who supposedly decided to let your dear husband handle this himself, left him alone—pinched the bridge of his nose, already feeling a headache coming on. “She’s my wife,” he said, with a hint of irritation spiking when he didn’t exactly want to correct himself say the word—‘our’.
Both younger versions of him stared at him in disbelief and more.
“W-wife?!”
E-rank!Jinwoo sputtered, his face turning bright red. “I-I get married? To her?”
A?-rank!Jinwoo’s lips parted, but Jinwoo quickly interjected, “You’ll understand later.”
Jinwoo’s fingers twitched. “I don’t have time for this,” he muttered, grabbing his phone when a notification came in. “I need to get back my wife.“
Outside, you landed gracefully on the lawn, brushing yourself off with a resigned sigh. The cool evening air did little to quell the flustered heat.
“…At least it’s not multiverse-shenanigans again,” you muttered to yourself, already pulling out your phone to text your husband.
Me: I can handle you, but 3 of you???
Jinwoo💕: Sweetheart, please don’t leave me.
You groaned, dragging a hand down your face.
Me: I’m staying at Hae-in’s. Or Mom’s.
Not even three seconds passed before your phone buzzed with a reply—
Jinwoo💕: Please, come back? 🥺
—And he started using emoji.
You bit your lips.
It was going to be a long day.
——oOo——
The moment your little Aera reached out her tiny hands toward A?-rank!Jinwoo and squealed, “Pa-pa!” with all the enthusiasm her little lungs could muster, time seemed to stop.
Everyone in the room:
Absolute silence.
A?-rank!Jinwoo froze, brain clearly short-circuited, a myriad of emotions flashing across his face—confusion, awe, fear, and something dangerously close to adoration.
“P-Pa…?” he choked out, staring at the small bundle of joy who was now babbling nonsensically while insistently reaching for him. His entire existence felt like it was collapsing under the weight of this tiny child, who, according to logic, should not even exist yet.
Jinwoo, standing off to the side, twitched violently. His lips parted to say something, but nothing came out. His eye twitched again. Finally, he turned toward you with a pleading expression.
“(Name)…” he began, “My dear, my love, my star, my goddess, my queen, my wife, mother of my children—” Oh. Oh. Your husband was definitely crashing out right now, “did Aera just—?” He cut himself off, as if even saying it might make the heartbreak worse.
You, still standing awkwardly by the door, suddenly found yourself in the worst position imaginable. If you denied it, you’d hurt your husband. If you confirmed it, you’d definitely hurt your husband. You felt the weight of his expectant gaze, but also the absolute need to protect your sanity.
“I…” you started carefully, your eyes darting between the three Jinwoos and the two children now playing in the middle of the chaos. “…need my morning coffee. It’s way too early for this.” Without waiting for a response, you turned on your heel and walked straight toward the kitchen.
Jinwoo let out a low groan and slumped into the nearest chair, his head in his hands. You didn’t even have to look back to know he was growing mushrooms in the corner, spiraling into an existential crisis at the realization that his daughter’s first word wasn’t for him (technically).
E-rank!Jinwoo, meanwhile, was sprawled on the carpet with Aera’s big brother climbing all over him. There was a distant, blissed-out smile on his face as Baby Suho tugged on his hair with surprising force.
“I get married…” he murmured to himself in awe, his voice almost reverent. “I have kids… a family…” His eyes turned misty as he gently poked Suho’s chubby cheeks, causing the little one to giggle. “She’s beautiful… They’re beautiful… My future is beautiful…”
His bliss was interrupted when Suho decided to slap him across the face with a tiny, surprisingly strong hand. “Bah!” Suho declared.
“Yes,” E-rank!Jinwoo said, utterly unbothered as he cradled his cheek. “Even that feels beautiful.”
A?-rank!Jinwoo, still cradling Baby Aera in his arms like she was made of glass, stared down at her with wide eyes. She babbled happily, patting his face with her tiny hands and tugging at his hair. He didn’t flinch, didn’t move, didn’t breathe.
“…She’s my daughter,” he whispered, his voice almost breaking. He looked up at Jinwoo, eyes brimming with confusion and wonder. “She’s my daughter?”
“Yes,” Jinwoo mumbled from his corner of despair. “And apparently, she loves you more.”
A?-rank!Jinwoo blinked, staring at the tiny child in his arms who was now trying to gnaw on his finger. His lips twitched into a small, helpless smile.
When you returned with your coffee in hand, you were greeted by the sight of:
Your husband still brooding in the corner, muttering about betrayal.
A?-rank!Jinwoo gently bouncing Aera in his arms with a soft, almost boyish expression.
E-rank!Jinwoo letting Suho climb all over him, grinning like an idiot despite his slightly disheveled state.
You sighed deeply and sipped your coffee. “I swear, they are in so much trouble.” You muttered.
Baby Aera, hearing your voice, turned toward you and squealed,
“Ma-ma!”
At least that was something.
——oOo——
BONUS:
Chaos. Absolute chaos.
There was no other word to describe the utter pandemonium that unfolded in your living room.
You barely reacted when the ceiling decided to gift you another migraine.
CRASH.
You remained sipping your coffee for the nth time today as ‘Trial Player’!You landed in a heap of dust and debris on the living room floor, looking disheveled. The younger you blinked rapidly, taking in the scene of three Jinwoos, two babies, and you casually sipping coffee in the midst of it all. Not missing the slightest detail of matching rings on your and the oldest-looking Jinwoo’s finger.
“What…is… this…?” She scrambled to her feet, backing into a corner like a trapped animal. “This—this isn’t real. This can’t be real. I got married? I got married to Jinwoo???” ‘TP’!You’s voice went up several octaves, pointing a trembling finger at A?-rank!Jinwoo, who was still being emotionally annihilated by baby Aera, looking entirely lost in her cuteness.
“And I have child—” Her voice crackedas she finally registered Baby Suho with E-rank!Jinwoo. “C-Children…”
The chaos didn’t stop there. With a snap of your finger, the cabinet door opened in your signature golden glow, fully expecting what you’d find. Sure enough, another version of yourself, younger than ‘TP’!You—Hermit! You—came tumbling out, looking disheveled and thoroughly irritated.
“Was that really necessary?! I was fine where I was—”
Hermit! You didn’t get to finish her complaint because E-rank!Jinwoo, with Suho hanging off his shoulder like a delighted little koala, wrapped his arms around her in a hug like he’d just found the missing piece of his soul.
“You,” E-rank!Jinwoo said, his voice soft and full of awe. “It’s you. My benefactor…” His hold on her tightened, and he rested his chin on her shoulder with a dazed, but definitely an incredibly happy-kind of expression.
“Thank you.”
Hermit!you combusted on the spot. In record time. You could practically see the steam coming out of her ears, spluttering incoherently, completely immobilized as Suho patted her cheek.
Meanwhile, ‘TP’!You was hyperventilating.
Before you could even begin to address the madness, your husband decided to add to the chaos. Suddenly revitalized after his earlier devastation, Jinwoo marched over, picked you up with one arm, and hoisted ‘TP’!You up with the other.
He sandwiched his face between your chests with a satisfied groan, a gesture you were all too familiar with. ‘TP’!You, however, was not.
Her flustered as she flailed in his grip.
“W-What are you doing?! Unhand me, you—you—perverted future me husband thing!”
You could feel Jinwoo’s hold tightening on both of you.
“I’m in heaven,” he declared, his dreamy murmur muffled against your skin.
You remained perfectly calm, sipping your coffee with a smile. “You will be,” you said sweetly, your tone saccharine enough to curdle milk, “if your wandering hands on my younger version don’t stop, dear.”
Jinwoo froze. ‘TP’!you stopped struggling in horror. Hermit! You, still in E-rank!Jinwoo’s hold, managed to mutter, “Oh, she’s—I’m scary.”
“…Noted, my love.” he said meekly, though he made no move to put either of you down.
And as you took another sip of your coffee, watching everything and nothing at the same time—
System?
{…Yes?} {…Yes?} {…Yes?}
—There were three of them? …Of course, there were. Your migraine wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
You, Neonie, and Tusk are in timeout until further notice.
{ (╥﹏╥) }
All of you.
{ (╥﹏╥) } { (╥﹏╥) }
…Just prepare the memory-alter mechanism while you’re at it.
In another plane of existence—
Butterflies to each other versions of them in eerie synch: “Hello! ~”
Two versions of shadow soldiers simultaneously: “By our King(s?)’s will and our Queen(s?)’s benevolence, there’re triple of them…”
Three Neonies praying for their life: “Mother is going to kill me…”
Two Tusks also not knowing what to do: “…at least our Liege(s?)’s seems (kinda) happy…?”
Tumblr media
End Note:
Extra explanations for those who's confused:
E-rank!Jinwoo: The version of Jinwoo before the system, haven't meet you (Hermit! You at the time), already aware of someone helping him.
Hermit! You: The version of you freshly out of the garden, still pretty isolated, already started helping E-rank!Jinwoo in secrecy.
A?-rank!Jinwoo: The version of Jinwoo after the system, already meet 'TP'!You but is still at the getting-to-know you stage, still not fully trusting you.
'TP!You: The version of you already discovered by A?-rank!Jinwoo, before his rank reevaluation.
Just "You" and "Jinwoo" (exclusive to this draft): Already married and have kids in the revised timeline.
It's straight back to college for me tomorrow 🥹
I want to write more... 😭
Anyways—happy reading, everyone! 💕

Loyalty of The Shadow
[Sung Jin-Woo x Friend!Reader]
Part 1 (here) — Part 2 — Part 3
Tumblr media
“Huh?” You blinked with a questioned gaze while Jinwoo tried his best to get you to see something that wasn’t there. You wondered if he hit his head or if he still wasn’t back to his senses from the double dungeon he survived. There he is, trying to tell you about some system that would help him level up and sent him to the desert just because he didn’t finish his daily quest.
Though, with how desperate Jinwoo was, you just nodded and tried to understand and sympathize with him. Even when you lack the knowledge of what was going on and what he was talking about. What you thought was a phase turned out to be wrong as he continued his ‘daily missions’ from the system. When you urged him to rest, he told you ‘no’ and continued even though he was exhausted. So you stood by him and encouraged him when he was about to give up.
It might have been a few days or maybe a week or so when you were too busy with your life that you missed some visits to Jinwoo here and there, but when you got back to him, he was different.
No, that was an understatement.
He was taller, buffer, and more handsome? Well, he was cute before, but now he was all mature and hot. Not that you’ll admit it. When you first saw him again, you blankly told him, “Sorry, can I have your number?”
“Huh? It’s me! Sung Jinwoo.”
“Haha, nice joke. But I’m going to snatch you up before anyone. Jinwoo would understand, I’m sure.”
Until now, he still thought you were playing a joke on him and didn’t recognize him. Since his sister recognized him and just said he gone abs and got taller. Your reaction was unexpected and it got Jinwoo fearing. If you were to meet another person more handsome than him, would you do the same advances.
You’re not that shallow, while you would ask for numbers, you don’t actually do anything with them and just let it be a moment where you refreshed yourself. You knew handsome people were out of your league. It was funny, however, when Jinwoo was calling to ask if you had someone in mind from time to time. You told him countless times that you never made romantic advances to anyone (including him sadly).
But back to his little secret of leveling up. You believed it when he showed you how strong he was at a training center, destroying all the dummys and targets with ease. That wasn’t the best part. To you, the best part was that he had someone to rely on while he was in battles and raids.
You’ve long heard of the rumoured ‘lizards’ among the Hunters, them using weaker and lower ranked Hunters to use as bait for the monsters within the gates, then keeping the benefits and money for themselves. Truly wicked people.
As Jinwoo’s title as the weakest was latched onto him for the longest time, you can’t help but worry everytime he went to a raid. Abusing your connections, you’d keep an eye out for Hunters that would take advantage of Jinwoo, luckily, he soon found a crew that would welcome him and help him. You were furious when those same people felt Jinwoo in that double dungeon.
Now, Jinwoo has a loyal group that would stand by his side. The Shadow Army.
When Jinwoo first summoned them before you, he told them they have to listen to your commands as well. You hummed and made them do silly things, even had them acting like slaves and to treat Jinwoo like the king he is. Even though they would do so without your demands. Jinwoo didn’t stop your madness but he did question why you were doing all that.
In the end, you voided all your commands and had them all kneel before Jinwoo while he was seated in an armchair. You stood by his side and smiled while you poked Jinwoo’s cheek, “Please watch over Jinwoo in my stead while he’s in battles I can’t join. You guys are the ones he can truly rely on everywhere and anywhere.”
His Shadows all bowed their heads while Jinwoo looked at you with an expression you can’t understand.
The day came and Jinwoo was reevaluated for his rank, no surprise that he made an error of things. Korea’s 10th S-Rank Hunter, you already knew the headlines would be a buzz with such a talented man. You were waiting for the day that people would name him the strongest and not the weakest. And laughed like mad did you when his silly expression was broadcasted to the news.
“Igris! He looks so silly!! Hahahhaa!!” You laughed to the point you nearly fell but the loyal knight caught you, still you didn’t stop laughing your head off. “Look at that face!”
With that reveal and look, you forgive him for not telling you about his little mining incident with the Hunters Guild. While it wasn’t his intention to reveal himself, he did catch the attention of a certain S-Rank Hunter. You egged him so long if he felt anything for her, to which he said no and told you to drop it. You shrugged and that was the last conversation you two had before he went for another dungeon raid arranged by the system he has.
You were in the hospital looking after Jinwoo’s mother when he suddenly appeared with a serious look on his face, in his hand, he held something. You left the room and let him have his time with his mother, you stayed in the hallway and just waited. You waited until an hour or two passed before you entered the room again, you nearly dropped the beraverage in your hands when you saw what you did.
“Sh.” Her angelic figure gave you a soft smile while a finger was raised to her lips to make a shush motion, you noticed her other hand combing through Jinwoo’s hair meanwhile the man was out cold by his mother’s side.
You nodded and turned to manage the paperworks so Jinwoo could leave with his mother without delay when he wakes, you also called Jinah and just said ‘come to the hospital’ without any elaboration. Truly, it’s a day to celebrate.
“This is a giant ant.” You stared at the ant Shadow in front of you named Beru.
“Kekekeke…”
“Can I leave him with you and maybe have you teach him how to act normal?” Jinwoo asked as you turned away from the Shadow.
“Why does he need that? He’ll listen what you say anyways.” Your head tilted with confusion.
“He was a killing machine before and I just… It’s a pre-caution.” Jinwoo sighed.
You smirked, “Hmm… No take backs though.”
Jinwoo nodded, “I have full faith in your teachings.” And with that he left you with Beru.
You turned to the ant who was still standing and towering over you. “Hmm, so the first thing you need to understand.” Beru’s head tilted, “Is that Jinwoo is a King above all Kings.”
“Kekekekekeke!!”
“Jinwoo is the only one that can save the world if it’s ever in anymore crisis.”
“Kekekekekeke!!”
“So, you need to address him with the right he has. Since you’re the only one he can talk to at the moment, you must lead by example.”
“Kekeke!”
You smirked, “Let’s start with some titles.”
Well, teaching Beru was a bit hard since he only communicates with monster, or insect, tongue. But you had this feeling that Beru was an excellent student and he learned everything that you taught him. You knew Beru doesn’t disappoint.
“So, is there a reason why Beru calls me ‘My Liege’ and speaks all… weird like to me?” Jinwoo questioned while you two were enjoying a lunch at his usual spot, Korean BBQ.
“Hm? I just taught him the normal stuff.” You spoke as you cooked a piece of meat. “I don’t exactly know what he says as a response since it’s all insect noises that comes out for me.”
“Huh?”
“Huh?”
“You can’t understand them?” Jinwoo looked at you in disbelief.
“You don’t know I can’t understand them?” You looked back at him in confusion.
“I thought you could understand all this time.” Jinwoo exclaimed in mild panic. “Because you were understanding them so well and they were following your words easily!”
Your head tilted, “I just read the mood. Plus we all have one thing in mind.”
Jinwoo’s face twisted to a look of denial. “What thing?”
“Serving you like the king you are!”
Jinwoo could feel the Shadows shifting and cheering from your words while you remained ignorant of what you’ve done. He was thankful that you can’t understand them while you were peacefully cooking your food and bumping some into his bowl and he was trying to calm down from the words of his soldiers.
“The Queen is right!”
“When are you going to make a move?”
“I want to serve the Queen!”
“My Liege, your Queen is perfect!”
Jinwoo would agree that you’re perfect and he has been waiting for the moment he confesses to you, but he can’t seem to find the right timing or place when he was that busy with his S-Rank. He knows that more than just calling you his, he wants to make you his.
“Soon.”
“Huh? You said something?” You looked up to see his smile.
Jinwoo chuckled and gave you a toast, “Nothing, just answering something my Shadows said.”

Chapter 18
Y/N had thought she understood Jinwoo.
Stoic. Calm. Quiet.
A man who rarely showed emotion unless someone threatened his family or the world.
But now?
Now, Jinwoo was her husband.
Jinwoo was in full “husband unlocked, affection level MAX” mode.
The problem?
He wouldn’t. Stop. Touching. Her.
Y/N woke up tangled in limbs. Jinwoo was spooning her like he was afraid she’d vanish. One leg thrown over her hip. One arm across her waist. His face in her hair. And his hand—ahem—somewhere that made her blush daily.
“Jinwoo…” she whispered. “Mmh.” He didn’t even open his eyes. “You’re squeezing.” “I’m making sure you’re real.”
Y/N groaned, both flattered and mildly panicked.
Jinwoo found... other priorities.
Y/N was sitting at her desk, reviewing dungeon reports. Jinwoo walked in. Silent. Shadow Monarch smooth. Until he wasn’t. Until he planted his hands on either side of her chair and leaned in. His breath ghosted over her ear. “Take a break.” “I’m busy,” she muttered. He kissed just behind her ear. “Five minutes.” “No.” His lips brushed lower, down her neck. “I can make you forget paperwork.” Y/N swallowed. “I—Jinwoo!” And then he bit her gently.
She never finished those reports.
Y/N tried. Really, she did. She thought maybe tonight she’d cook dinner in peace. But no.
Jinwoo was behind her at the stove. Again. Arms around her waist. Again. Chin on her shoulder. And his hands? “Jinwoo,” she warned. “Yes?” Innocent. “Hands above the waist.” “They are.” “No, they’re not!” He hummed. “That’s a matter of perspective.”
She dropped the spoon. And found herself carried bridal-style to the couch. Dinner burned.
Every night.
…a battlefield. One Y/N lost. Every. Time.
He’d pull her close. Slide his fingers through her hair. Brush kisses over her temple. And then— “Wife,” he whispered, reverent. “You do remember I’m your wife every day, right?” she teased. “Mhm.” His gaze was molten. “But I like saying it. Because now you’re mine.” She arched a brow. “I was yours before.” “Now it’s forever.”
Cue: steamy kisses. Cue: hands on her waist. Cue: Jinwoo exploring every inch of her like it was the first time.
And that stamina recovery skill? It was real. Y/N had to beg for mercy.
“Jinwoo, wait—nooo!” “Yes,” he growled, smirking. “Yesss.”
The soft hum of the coffee maker filled the kitchen, mingling with the sizzle of bacon in the pan. Y/N stood at the counter, barefoot in nothing but Jinwoo’s oversized black shirt, the hem brushing against her thighs. Her hair was still tousled from sleep—or rather, from the lack of it, thanks to the last night’s stamina training lead by Jinwoo. The scent of fresh coffee and toasted bread wafted through the air as she flipped a pancake, her hips swaying slightly to an imaginary tune.
Jinwoo leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching her with a lazy, predatory grin. He’d slipped on a pair of gray sweatpants that hung low on his hips, leaving his chiseled torso bare. The honeymoon had been a blur of tangled sheets and whispered promises, but being back home didn’t mean the fire had dimmed. If anything, seeing Y/N in his shirt, moving so casually in their space, only stoked it higher.
“Smells good,” he said, his voice low and rough from sleep, though his eyes weren’t on the food.
Y/N glanced over her shoulder, catching the heat in his gaze. “The pancakes or me?” she teased, smirking as she turned back to the stove.
“Both,” he replied, pushing off the wall and stalking toward her. His footsteps were silent, but she felt his presence before his hands even touched her—warm, calloused fingers sliding over her hips, pulling her back against him.
“Jinwoo,” she laughed, half-protesting as she tried to focus on flipping the bacon. “I’m gonna burn breakfast. AGAIN..”
“Let it burn,” he murmured against her ear, his breath hot as his lips grazed her neck. His hands slipped under the shirt, tracing the curve of her waist before dipping lower, teasing the edge of her panties. “I’m hungry for something else.”
Her breath hitched, the spatula trembling in her hand. “You’re insatiable,” she managed, though her voice was already wavering, her body leaning into his touch despite herself.
“Says the one who kept me up all night,” he shot back, nipping at her earlobe. One hand slid up to cup her breast, thumb brushing over the sensitive peak, while the other dipped beneath the fabric between her thighs, finding her already slick with want. “Seems like you’re not complaining.”
“Jinwoo—” Her protest melted into a moan as he pressed himself harder against her, the evidence of his arousal unmistakable through the thin sweatpants. The bacon popped in the pan, forgotten, as he spun her around to face him, pinning her against the counter.
His lips crashed into hers, hungry and unrelenting, tasting of last night’s wine and the promise of more. She clutched at his shoulders, nails digging into his skin as he hoisted her up, setting her on the edge of the counter. The shirt rode up, exposing her to the cool air—and to him. His eyes darkened, a low growl rumbling in his chest as he dropped to his knees.
“Breakfast can wait,” he said, voice thick with lust, before burying his face between her thighs.
Y/N gasped, her hands flying to his hair, tugging at the dark strands as his tongue worked her over with ruthless precision. He knew her too well—every spot, every rhythm that made her unravel. The kitchen filled with her breathless moans, the coffee maker beeping in the background like a distant applause. Her legs trembled, hooked over his shoulders, and he gripped her thighs tighter, keeping her exactly where he wanted her.
“Jinwoo—oh god—” She was close, teetering on the edge, when he pulled back just enough to look up at her, lips glistening, eyes gleaming with mischief.
“Not yet,” he said, standing and tugging his sweatpants down just enough to free himself. He was hard, aching, and the sight of him made her whimper. He stepped between her legs, aligning himself with her entrance, teasing her with the tip. “I want to feel you when you come.”
She didn’t have time to respond before he thrust into her, deep and unrelenting, filling her completely. The counter creaked under them as he set a brutal pace, hands gripping her hips to pull her into every stroke. Y/N’s head tipped back, a string of curses spilling from her lips as pleasure crashed through her. The kitchen was a mess of heat and sound—the slap of skin, the clatter of a spatula hitting the floor, her cries mingling with his grunts.
“Fuck, you’re perfect, I love you,” he rasped, one hand sliding up to tangle in her hair, pulling her head back to expose her throat. He bit down lightly, marking her as his, and that was enough to send her over the edge. She shattered around him, clenching tight, her whole body shaking as she came undone.
Jinwoo groaned, following her a moment later, spilling inside her with a final, shuddering thrust. They stayed like that, panting and tangled, until the smell of charred bacon finally broke through the haze.
Y/N laughed weakly, shoving at his chest. “You did let it burn.”
He smirked, kissing her slow and deep, still buried inside her. “Worth it.”
Several months, dozens of late-night snack runs, and countless stamina training have passed.
Fenrir had become strangely clingy.
Wherever Y/N went, the giant primordial wolf followed. Silent, looming, and attentive. His shadowy fur blended easily into the castle walls, and his glowing eyes tracked every move she made.
To most, it was unsettling. To Y/N, it was endearing… if a bit much.
“Fenrir,” Y/N sighed one morning, balancing a tray of snacks in her hands. “I love you, but you’re breathing down my neck.”
The massive wolf huffed quietly through his nose but didn’t budge from his spot at her side.
“I’m not helpless,” she said with a grin. “I can fight too, remember?”
Fenrir remained unmoving, his gaze dropping briefly to her midsection.
“You carry more than your own life now, my Queen,” Fenrir thought, ancient and knowing. “You carry the legacy of our King, and of this world yet to come.”
Y/N blinked at his look. “What? What’s that look?” No answer. Only quiet, dignified silence.
But Fenrir was already certain. He had felt it—the pulse of a life unlike any other. Small, yes. Fragile… not quite. There was power stirring within Y/N. Ancient, deep, and coiled like a newborn star.
“This child will eclipse even the light of this world,” he mused silently. “And I shall be its first sentinel.”
Y/N chuckled, scratching behind his ear without understanding the full weight of his presence. “You’re being weird today.”
Fenrir closed his eyes, indulging her affection briefly. But his mind was ever watchful. Silent guardian of life.
Over the next few days, Fenrir did not leave Y/N' side.
He sat at the edge of every room. He watched over her as she napped in the garden, his great form a living monument beside her. His breathing was so silent that even Beru once mistook him for a statue.
Jinwoo noticed. “Has he been like this all day?”
Y/N nodded, amused. “Yep. Clingy puppy mode.”
Fenrir snorted at the label, though his great body remained still.
“Puppy,” he mused, almost offended. “If only you knew, little Queen. I was ancient before your stars were born.” Still… he allowed the label. For her.
As they walked inside, Jinwoo kept an arm around Y/N. Fenrir followed. Unseen. Unheard. Watching.
The days after Fenrir’s mysterious behavior?
Pure chaos.
Y/N woke up clingier than ever. But also… bitey.
Jinwoo was lying on the couch, minding his own business, when suddenly— “Chomp.” Her teeth sank into his cheek. “Y/N… what are you doing?” he asked patiently. “I dunno,” she mumbled, still attached. “You’re… biting me.” “It’s because you’re so cute.” Chomp. “…I’m glad you think so.”
Later that night? Chomp. On his bicep. “I’m not food, you know,” he murmured. “You taste like husband,” she shrugged.
At 2:00 AM, Y/N shook him awake. “Jinwoo.” “Hm?” “I want strawberries.” “…Okay.”
Shadow exchange. Strawberries obtained. He returned… Y/N was asleep.
At 3:15 AM. “Jinwoo.” “…Yes?” “I want tteokbokki.” “Coming right up.”
Shadow exchange. Fresh tteokbokki. He returned… Y/N stared at it. “…I changed my mind.” “…To what?” “Chocolate milk.” Jinwoo sighed. “Got it.” Shadow exchange again. Chocolate milk. He returned… Y/N was snoring.
Tumblr media
Y/N was happily chatting with Mrs. Sung in the living room, both of them perched on the couch like detectives dissecting a major scandal. Their hands flew through the air as they reenacted scenes, eyes wide with shared disbelief.
“Eomma! Have you seen the latest episode?!” Y/N gasped, grabbing Mrs. Sung’s arm like it was a lifeline. Mrs. Sung nodded, scandalized. “I did! That cheating man got caught—red-handed! With the other woman! In her car!” Y/N clutched her chest like she’d been personally betrayed. “And when she smacked him in front of everyone?! I swear I heard that slap in my soul!” Mrs. Sung leaned closer, lowering her voice. “You know, they say she practiced her slap on a melon to get the sound just right.”
At that moment, Jinwoo casually walked by, sipping his coffee. Y/N slowly turned her head to give him the look. The silent warning. The don’t you dare stare. Jinwoo froze, lowering his mug just slightly. “…What did I do?” Mrs. Sung patted Y/N’ hand approvingly. “That’s right. You let them know.” Y/N gave a tiny nod of solidarity… then blinked, her fingers tightening slightly. The room tilted, just for a second.
“Ah…” she murmured faintly. Mrs. Sung immediately caught her shoulder. “Y/N? Are you alright?” Jinwoo was already there in an instant, coffee abandoned, his hand steadying her waist. “What’s wrong?” His voice dipped low, serious. Y/N waved a hand, attempting a small laugh. “I’m fine! Just… maybe too much excitement.” Jinwoo didn’t look convinced. “No more watching dramas,” he declared.
Mrs. Sung stood up without another word, disappeared into the hallway, and came back holding a pregnancy test kit like she had it prepped for emergencies. “Trust me, I’ve been through this before—and survived.” she said matter-of-factly, handing it over like a seasoned battlefield medic. Y/N stared. “Wait, I—” “Bathroom. Now.”
Jinwoo peeked in from the kitchen, his brow furrowed. “What’s going on?” Mrs. Sung pointed at him without looking. “You. Sit. Stay.” Jinwoo sat like an obedient son.
Y/N returned a few minutes later, staring down at the stick in her hand. Two pink lines. “Uh…” she managed.
Mrs. Sung leaned over, squinted, and then let out a squeal that shook the heavens. “Oh-ho-ho! My grandbaby!!” She spun toward Jinwoo. “You did good! You worked hard!” she praised.
Jinwoo blinked. “I… did?” Mrs. Sung grabbed his shoulders and shook him proudly. “My son! So diligent! So productive! I knew all that stamina would come in handy!” “M-Mom!” Y/N slapped her palm over her face.
But Jinwoo’s brain was already overheating from pure happiness. He swept Y/N right off the floor into his arms. “You’re pregnant! We’re having a baby!” “I’m—Jinwoo, dizzy, remember—” Too late. He spun her around like they just won a game show.
“Jinwoo!!” Y/N yelped, gripping his neck. “PUT ME DOWN!” “But I’m happy!!” “YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE ME THROW UP ON YOU!” Mrs. Sung cheered them on from the couch. “Spin her again! She’s glowing!” Y/N shot her a look of betrayal. “Mother!!” “Don’t worry! If you throw up, it means he’s blessed!”
Fenrir, who was watching from the doorway, simply huffed in dignified silence. Chaos, he thought. Humans.
Jinwoo finally stopped spinning, setting Y/N down gently but beaming from ear to ear. “I’m going to be a dad…” he whispered, kissing her forehead softly. Y/N, still a little green, poked his cheek. “You owe me tteokbokki and strawberry milk for this.” He nodded solemnly. “I’m on it.”
Meanwhile, In Jinwoo’s inner domain.
For a moment, there was complete silence.
And then chaos.
“KYEEEEEEEHHHH!” Beru screamed, launching into the air like an overgrown cicada on steroids. “THE QUEEN IS WITH CHILD! THE MONARCH’S HEIR APPROACHES! ALL HAIL!”
Bellion let out an actual chuckle—deep, rumbling, and shockingly gleeful for a seven-foot-tall armored nightmare. “Congratulations, Shall I prepare a regiment of guards for the nursery.”
Igris silently drew his sword and saluted. A glowing black rose appeared in his free hand. He held it aloft with reverence, as if offering tribute.
Tusk was already scribbling furiously on a stone tablet: “Enchantment Plan: Anti-Teleportation, Anti-Flying, Baby-Proofing Fortresses.”
Even Greed, normally stoic, pumped both fists in the air like he’d just won the lottery.
Beru landed dramatically. “The next monarch will be legendary! We must celebrate, my king! A feast! A blood offering!”
“NO BLOOD OFFERING!” They object in unison.
It was “supposed” to be a calm evening.
Y/N sat cross-legged on their bed, flipping through a baby name book, while Jinwoo lounged next to her, elbows propped up, scrolling through his phone with intense concentration. His expression was so serious, you’d think he was reading a classified guild report… but no. He was deep in a list of baby girl names.
“How about Hana?” Jinwoo said, tapping the screen and showing it to her. Y/N blinked. “Why are you searching girl names?” Jinwoo looked at her like she was the one being weird. “Because it’s going to be a girl.” Y/N choked on her water.
“Excuse me?” she said, wiping her mouth. Jinwoo shrugged, completely casual. “It’s a girl. I know it.” Y/N set her glass down very slowly. “No, it’s going to be a boy.” “Nope. Girl.” “Boy!” “Definitely a girl.” “Why are you so sure!?” Y/N huffed, smacking his arm with the book.
Jinwoo turned toward her with that unreadable face, but his ears were turning a little red. “Because,” he said seriously, “I want her to look like you. Energetic like you.” Y/N’s cheeks flushed immediately. “She’d be chaos,” Jinwoo added with a faint smile, “but she’ll light up this house like you do.”
Y/N gawked at him for a second, then smacked his shoulder again—but gentler this time. “Stop saying sweet things, you’re trying to distract me.” “It’s working,” Jinwoo replied smoothly.
She crossed her arms. “It’s a boy. I’m sure.” Jinwoo gave her a look. “How are you sure?” Y/N gulped. Because I read the manhwa and Suho is adorable! But she kept her mouth shut and glared right back. “Woman’s intuition.”
Jinwoo leaned closer, narrowing his eyes. “You’re wrong.” “Oh, I’m wrong?” “Yes. I made the baby,” Jinwoo said, raising an eyebrow. “I did all the effort.” Y/N blinked. “…And?” “The baby’s just paying rent in your womb,” he finished casually, as if it was scientific fact.
Y/N froze. “You WHAT!?” Jinwoo nodded solemnly. “Rent.” “You did NOT just say that—” “Full payment in kicks,” Jinwoo added. “See? Efficient tenant.”
Y/N threw the pillow at his face. Jinwoo caught it effortlessly, smirking as she lunged to tackle him. “You jerk! You dare say I’m just an innkeeper!?” “You’re a beautiful, glowing innkeeper,” Jinwoo teased, catching her wrists and pulling her down into his lap.
Y/N narrowed her eyes. “You’re lucky I love you,” she muttered. Jinwoo kissed her temple. “And you’re lucky I’m a responsible landlord.” “Jinwoo!” “I’ll offer a discount on rent if you kiss me right now.”
Y/N groaned into his shoulder, but she was laughing as she did it.
Fenrir, watching from the corner like the dignified guardian he was, sighed heavily and turned his back on them. Idiots, he thought. They will raise a kingdom, and yet… they are idiots.
Few months have passed.
It all started at 4 AM. As it always does.
Y/N woke up to a weird cramp. She poked Jinwoo in the ribs. “Wake up. I think this is it.” Jinwoo shot out of bed like he was raiding an S-rank dungeon. “WHERE’S THE BAG?!” “You packed it a week ago,” Y/N deadpanned, clutching her belly. Fenrir was already waiting by the door, dignified as ever but his tail wagging. It’s time.
They made it to the hospital in record time, partly because Jinwoo threatened to teleport them directly into the delivery room.
The contractions got worse. Y/N’ mood got… intense.
Mrs. Sung held her hand on one side. “You’re doing great, dear!” Y/N sniffled. “Eomma… thank you for being here.” “You’re my daughter now,” Mrs. Sung said firmly, kissing her forehead. “And after this, we’ll make Jinwoo your servant for a month.” “Make it a year,” Y/N groaned. “Deal.”
Meanwhile, Jinwoo was on her other side, holding her other hand like it was his lifeline. “You’ve got this,” he said quietly, but he was pale as hell. Y/N cracked an eye open. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine,” Jinwoo lied. “You look like you’re gonna pass out.” “Nope.” His face twitched. “I’m cheering for you.” “You look like I’m your support character and you’re dying in battle.”
The next contraction hit, and Y/N screamed his name. “JINWOO YOU DID THIS TO ME!!!” Jinwoo’s eyes widened. “I… yes, but—” “YOU’RE DEAD!!!” She crushed his hand in a vice grip. Jinwoo swore he heard bones crack. But he smiled anyway. “You’re doing amazing, Y/N. You’re so strong.”
Finally—after what felt like an all-night raid boss battle with no healer, half their mana gone, and aggro pulling left and right—the baby’s first cries echoed through the room.
Y/N gasped, the sound hitting her like a critical strike to the heart. “It’s a boy!” the doctor announced with a grin, carefully placing the tiny, crying bundle onto Y/N’ chest.
For a moment, everything stopped. Y/N slumped back against the bed, exhausted tears slipping down her cheeks as she stared at their son in awe. Jinwoo froze beside her, his breath caught in his throat. “…A boy,” he repeated softly, like he couldn’t believe it. Like the word alone might shatter if he spoke too loudly.
Y/N gave him a tired but victorious grin. “Told you so.” Jinwoo let out a shaky laugh that broke halfway through, his shoulders trembling. His dark eyes, usually sharp and unreadable, were now brimming with tears as he leaned in close. He kissed her temple first, gently, then their son’s tiny, wrinkled hand. “You did so well,” Jinwoo whispered, his voice low and thick with emotion. Tears slid silently down his cheeks as he smiled at them both like they were his entire world. “I… couldn’t ask for more.”
And then it hit them. Both of them. Without a word, they started crying—quietly at first, tears of pure joy they didn’t try to hide. Y/N cradled Suho close to her chest, laughing between the tears as Jinwoo rested his forehead against hers. Outside the room, someone must have heard the baby’s first cry because, moments later, they heard muffled cheers, followed by sniffles and someone (probably Mrs. Sung) full-on sobbing.
Jinwoo finally pulled back, wiping his face with the back of his hand, but his smile stayed soft as he gazed down at his son. “He’s… beautiful,” he murmured. Y/N sniffled, brushing her fingers through the soft tuft of black hair on Suho’s head. “You think he’ll stay this cute, or will he start brooding and scaring people by the time he’s five?” Jinwoo chuckled. “If he takes after me… maybe four.” Y/N smirked, though her eyes were still glossy. “Better teach him how to smile early, then.”
Suho let out a tiny whimper, his little face scrunching in protest. Jinwoo’s expression softened even more—something Y/N hadn’t thought possible—as he carefully picked up his son, cradling him in his arms with the same reverence as if he were holding an ancient relic. “Shh,” he murmured, swaying slightly. “Time to sleep, little shadow.” And like magic—no, like Jinwoo—Suho settled almost immediately, his tiny fist curled against his father’s chest.
Y/N watched them both, utterly in love, and whispered, “He already trusts you… guess he knows who’s overpowered in this family.” Jinwoo chuckled quietly, keeping his gaze on their son as he replied, “No. That’s you.
Meanwhile, in Jinwoo’s Inner Domain.
The vast shadow plains trembled. A pulse of life, raw and ancient, rippled out.
Beru froze in mid-air, antennae twitching wildly. Then his insectoid mandibles split into a terrifying grin.
“KYEEEH! THE YOUNG MASTER HAS ARRIVED!” he shrieked.
Bellion dropped his sword point-first into the obsidian ground and roared. “IT IS TIME.”
What time? Nobody knew, but it sounded official.
Then it happened.
The elite Shadows who’d once been kings, warlords, and monsters… devolved into absolute chaos.
The High Orcs, normally stoic and terrifying, began chanting in deep, guttural voices as they formed a perfect circle.
“UGA! UGA! PRINCE! UGA!”
They stomped their feet rhythmically, shaking the obsidian ground. Then they started clapping in sync, forming a drum line with their fists pounding into their own thick chests.
One of them pulled out… maracas.
No one knew where he got them. No one asked.
Overhead, Kaisel, the fearsome dragon, landed with a bone-jarring THUD.
And then…
He tucked his tiny, bony arms under his ribs, flapped his massive skeletal wings like a chicken, and started bobbing his head in a full-on chicken dance.
Clap-clap! Flap-flap! Wiggle-wiggle!
Somehow, Kaisel managed to moonwalk backward while doing it.
“WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” screamed a random mage-class shadow, openly sobbing with joy and confusion.
Bellion clutched his helmet, but the dignified knight was smiling. “The King’s heir is born. We rejoice.”
Beru launched himself off Bellion’s back like a missile, doing triple flips while screaming, “KYEEEHH! SHADOW PRINCE! KYEEEHHH!!”
The group of mage shadows joined hands in a ring, hopping  up and down, spinning in dizzy circles and flinging off fireworks spells like they were in a rave. One accidentally cast Meteor Shower—thankfully, it fizzled harmlessly.
Tusk screamed “UNCLE TUSK! TUSK CELEBRATE!” over and over again, scooping smaller shadows up and throwing them skyward like toddlers on a trampoline.
Greed flew by with another handmade banner trailing behind him. This one read:
“PRINCE SUHO: FIRST BLOOD, FIRST BITE, FIRST CRY—THE LEGACY BEGINS.”
Even Igris, ever the silent knight, was clapping politely… until Beru tackled him around the waist like a football striker scoring the winning goal.
They all ended up in a dogpile while Kaisel flapped over them in chicken dance formation.
Fenrir stood at the edges of the chaos, his golden eyes narrowing.
Buffoons. Every single one of them.
But his ears flicked once as if in approval.
And then he laid down beside Suho’s bassinet in the real world, resting his muzzle nearby. If anyone tried to approach the young heir, they’d be eating teeth.
He might let Kaisel squawk, but nobody messes with the pup.
The hospital room was finally quiet.
Y/N had drifted into an exhausted sleep not long after the delivery, her breathing soft and steady, a faint smile lingering on her lips even as she dozed. Jinwoo had tucked the blanket around her carefully, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. He kissed her forehead softly, lingering for a moment longer than necessary, before slipping out of the room.
He needed to see their son.
The nursery was dim, the soft glow of the lights casting a warm haze over the row of bassinets. Jinwoo’s steps were nearly silent, his hands slipping into his pockets like he always did when his mind was racing. But the moment his eyes landed on the tiny, wriggling bundle marked Sung Baby, he froze.
For a full minute, he didn’t move. Didn’t breathe. Just stared.
His feet carried him to the glass window on their own. He placed both hands against it, as if he could reach through the barrier, as if he could hold him again.
Suho was sleeping peacefully, his tiny fists balled up near his cheeks, his breaths soft and even. Occasionally, he made an adorable little noise that Jinwoo was sure sounded like a battle cry. That’s my son, he thought, pride swelling in his chest. Our son.
Jinwoo let out a shaky breath, smiling, even as tears gathered in his eyes. “You’re really here,” he murmured, voice soft. “We were fighting over your gender for months, you know.”
He huffed a quiet laugh, wiping at his eyes with his sleeve even though more tears slipped through. “Your mama was so sure you were a boy. She always wins, doesn’t she?” He shook his head fondly. “She’s cool like that.”
His fingers gently tapped the glass, like he was trying to get Suho’s attention even though he knew his son wouldn’t open those sleepy eyes just yet. “Hey… whatever you are, whoever you become…” Jinwoo whispered, his voice thick with emotion, “I’ll always be here. For you. For your mama. I’ll protect you both.”
Another tiny noise came from Suho’s crib. Jinwoo laughed again, a quiet, breathless sound. “You agree with me, huh? Mama is pretty cool.”
He stood there a little longer, hands still pressed to the glass, watching his son sleep like it was the most important mission of his life. Because it was.
“Welcome to the world, Suho,” Jinwoo said softly. “I’ll make sure it’s a good one for you.”
They had barely returned from the hospital when it happened.
Y/N had just sat down on the couch, Jinwoo was fussing over adjusting her pillows (even though she swore she was fine), and baby Suho was snuggled in her arms—when Beru approached.
Very slowly.
Very seriously.
“May I… borrow the Young Master for a moment, my Queen?”
Y/N blinked, suspicious. “Uh… why?”
Jinwoo narrowed his eyes. “Beru.”
Beru gave a dramatic bow, wings spread wide, his giant claws respectfully close to his chest. “I have seen something most inspiring in the human world. A sacred rite… for the future ruler.”
Jinwoo sighed. “You’ve been watching TV again, haven’t you?”
But Y/N was already handing over Suho with a grin. “Oh, this I need to see.”
Beru carefully scooped the bundled baby into his long arms like he was holding a priceless treasure—which, in his mind, he totally was.
Without another word, Beru marched toward the nearest open balcony.
Y/N sat up straighter. “Wait, where’s he going?”
Jinwoo was already on his feet. “Beru, no!”
But it was too late.
“.....................”
The moment Beru reached the balcony, Kaisel soared out of nowhere, landing smoothly at his side, as if he’d been summoned. Bellion was already there, standing tall and proud like some royal bodyguard. And Fenrir… Fenrir stood regally beside them, tail swishing with dignified approval.
And then it happened.
Beru lifted baby Suho high into the air, his black wings flaring wide behind him. “BEHOLD! THE FUTURE HEIR!”
The shadow legion, gathered below in the training yard, immediately dropped to one knee in perfect unison, heads bowed. Some were actually crying. No, wait—that was the mage corps.
And then there was Tusk.
Oh, Tusk.
Tusk stepped forward, his staff slamming into the ground with a mighty thud. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and began chanting in a deep, rumbling voice, his tone like the rise of an ancient storm:
“NNNAAAAAAHHHHHH… SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVEENNYYYYYAAAAAA… BABA GEE TIBABAAAAA…”
His voice echoed, mana crackling faintly in the air as if the heavens themselves were watching.
Jinwoo was frozen at the door, jaw slack. “What… what is happening.”
Y/N was laughing so hard she couldn’t breathe.
Beru turned slowly, as if hearing them, his voice full of reverence. “I have watched the Sacred Tale, my King and Queen. It is the Circle of Life. I'm so honored.”
Jinwoo ran a hand down his face.
Beru ignored him, still holding Suho high as the entire Shadow Legion started chanting something in perfect unison that sounded suspiciously like “Nants ingonyama bagithi baba!”
Y/N wheezed.
Jinwoo muttered, “I should’ve limited his screen time.”
Y/N wiped her tears of laughter, leaning into her husband. “Oh no, I love this. Our son’s first official introduction? Perfection.”
Jinwoo sighed, then smiled helplessly as he watched his legion honor their tiny prince with the most dramatic moment in existence.
Suho, for his part, let out a tiny yawn and sneezed.
The entire Shadow Legion gasped in unison and immediately bowed lower.
Beru clutched Suho to his chest. “Blessed be the Young Master! His power is mighty already!”
Y/N giggled. “You know what? We need to record this.”
A few weeks after Suho was born, it became undeniable. He was a miniature Jinwoo. Jet-black hair that already flopped messily over his forehead, serious little brows furrowed even while he slept, and a natural “resting monarch face” that made the everyone coo but also salute him instinctively.
“He looks like you copy-pasted your face onto a baby,” Y/N mumbled one morning, her cheek pressed against Jinwoo’s shoulder as they stared at Suho napping in his crib. Jinwoo smirked proudly, one arm wrapped around her waist. “Good genes.” Y/N reached up and playfully tugged his ear. “Yeah, well. The biting worked.”
Jinwoo groaned, covering his face with his hand. “Don’t bring that up again. You bit me every day during the pregnancy.” “And look how perfect he turned out,” Y/N said smugly, poking Suho’s chubby cheek gently with her finger. “That’s the price of a masterpiece.”
Mrs. Sung was over the moon. She visited almost every day, bringing home-cooked meals and cooing over Suho as if he was made of pure gold. “Jinwoo-ah, you finally did something right,” she sniffled one day as she held Suho, her eyes gleaming. “This child is perfect. My grandson will rule the playground and the world.” “Mom,” Jinwoo sighed. “Don’t ‘Mom’ me! If you breathe wrongly around Y/N, I’ll slap you.” Y/N, sipping her tea beside her, gave Jinwoo a sweet, smug smile. “You heard your mom.”
Mrs. Sung beamed and patted Y/N's head like a precious child.
Jinwoo? He stood off to the side. Quiet. Slightly confused why his mom gave his wife the nickname “Daughter” and him the 'side-eye in-law' look.
Jinah became the coolest aunt in existence. She had already bought Suho tiny sneakers that lit up and attempted to teach him fist bumps—despite him being only two months old. “Bro, this kid’s going to be an athlete and a genius,” she bragged, holding up Suho. “Put him down,” Jinwoo deadpanned. “Not until he does the fist bump.”
Even Jinho—Uncle Jinho, Y/N’s walking wallet, as Y/N declared—got involved, spoiling Suho with plushies and random baby gadgets. “This kid’s got VIP insurance and a gold spoon in his mouth,” Jinho said proudly. “I’m calling it: future president.” “He’s not even sitting up yet,” Jinwoo replied, but he was smiling anyway.
After the fiasco with Fenrir howling mysteriously during the pregnancy, Jinwoo wasn’t taking chances. Tusk worked overtime carving anti-teleportation and anti-flying runes into the house. Every corner had subtle, glowing glyphs. “We’re locked down tighter than a national treasure vault,” Jinwoo said, hands on his hips. Y/N patted his back. “Good job. But if he shadow-exchanges into the fridge again, we’re going to have a problem.” “...That was one time.”
By six months, Suho could hover. By eight months, he could shadow exchange… randomly. One moment he was in his crib, the next he was sitting on top of Fenrir’s head, giggling as if it was the funniest thing in the world. Fenrir, ever dignified, simply sighed in his deep, ancient way and carried the baby like an heir on a throne. “Such power in one so small,” Fenrir mused. “The realms will tremble.”
They learned to keep an eye on Suho constantly. Y/N, however, wasn’t surprised at all. “I told you,” she said one night, as they both watched Suho playing with Igris’ helmet like a toy. “He’s destined to be overpowered.” Jinwoo just sighed, hugging her from behind. “At least he’s cute.” Y/N leaned back into his chest. “That’s the biting.” “Please stop saying that.”
One sunny afternoon, while Suho was peacefully gnawing on Beru’s antenna (Beru, ever the loyal subject, simply buzzed with pride), Y/N found herself on the couch, cuddled up next to Jinwoo. Jinwoo was flipping through reports on his tablet, while Y/N scrolled through old photos on her phone.
Out of nowhere, Y/N started giggling.
Jinwoo glanced at her. “What’s funny?” Y/N turned to him, eyes gleaming with mischief. “I’m just thinking about our love story.” Jinwoo raised an eyebrow, putting his tablet down. “What about it?” She sat up, cracked her knuckles dramatically, and with a grin, declared, “It all started with sniffing… and ended with biting.” Jinwoo sighed. “Not this again.” “Oh yes,” Y/N said, poking his cheek. “And now? That sniffing and biting combo gave us Suho.”
Suho giggled in response, still hanging off Beru’s antenna like it was a jungle gym.
Y/N clapped her hands once. “Okay! Listen up, baby. Mama’s gonna tell you the story of how you came to be.” Jinwoo groaned. “He’s six months old. He doesn’t need to hear this.”
Y/N winked at Suho, who floated a little higher in excitement. “Too late. He deserves to know the truth.”
And maybe one day, Suho would understand the chaos, the love, and the wild adventures that brought them here.
But for now, the Shadow Monarch, his Queen, and their flying baby prince had everything they could ever need.
“The End… for now.”

Dear Y/Ns,
First of all—thank you! No, seriously… a HUGE thank you for riding along on this absolutely chaotic fanfic! From the very first moment Y/N sniffed Jinwoo to the legendary biting that somehow led to Baby Suho (who’s already flying around and dodging anti-teleportation runes like a tiny pro.) And I’m so, so happy you joined me to this madness lol.
I hope this story made you laugh, cry, and maybe shout, "WHY IS KAISER MOONWALKING?!" At least once. (Don’t worry,,, I’m still asking myself the same thing! Sigh…)
And guess what? I’m already cooking up some side stories—whether it’s Jinwoo’s Prime Hitting In (Yas… it’s steamy🔥) or another chaotic one-shot adventure with action, fluff, and who knows what else! If my imagination runs wild again, well… no one is safe...
Thank you again for all your support, comments, and good vibes! Y/N and Jinwoo’s story might be wrapping up for now, but who knows what’s next? If you have fun ideas or moments you’d love to see, feel free to share them—I’d love to hear from you!

Light (Sung Jinwoo)

‘E-Rank Hunter’ Sung Jinwoo, a title that followed him wherever he went.
Despite being a Hunter, his power was barely above an ordinary human aside from his slightly more durable constitution and slightly increased healing factor.
So it’s only natural that he’d always get hurt. Hell, he’d even nearly gotten killed several times already too!
It’s not that Jinwoo wanted to be a Hunter in the first place, because aside from the danger, others also made fun of him for his weakness. Even the pay was surprisingly not that great.
Unfortunately, someone in his mid-20s who lacked any viable skills that could land him a normal, stable job could only work for the Hunter’s Association as one of their Hunters thanks to their medical aid. Had it not been for that, he wouldn’t have been able to afford the millions of won in medical bills he owed to the hospital that took care of his mother.
It’s not even just his mother that he had to provide for, but there was also his little sister and…
“Look Yeonjin, it’s Papa!”
Worn out from another hard days’ work, E-Rank Hunter Sung Jinwoo felt all the fatigue in his body seemingly melt away into nothingness as the sight and scent of his wife and child soothed his weary soul.
“Baba!” Yeonjin babbled excitedly as his father made a beeline straight towards you both.
“Welcome home, honey.” You press a kiss to the corner of his lips, smiling up at him with those beautiful eyes he always finds himself lost in.
This is why even if he didn’t want to, he would still participate in these Association supervised raids.
No sacrifice is too great when it comes to his loved ones and regardless of how incompetent he was as a Hunter, Jinwoo will do everything in his power to ensure that they are cared and provided for.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’ve been with Sung Jinwoo ever since you were both just awkward teenagers in high school. When his mother succumbed to Eternal Slumber and left the two siblings to fend for themselves, instead of leaving you surprised Jinwoo and moved into their cozy little home and took it upon yourself to keep the house running.
While Jinwoo did his best to provide for the family’s needs, you would ensure that Jinah and the house was taken care of, this of course also included the man himself whenever he came home from a raid. You even managed to get a remote job that helped with the bills in spite of juggling that with your online college classes as well.
You and Jinwoo had gone through so much together over the past decade so was it any surprise you’d end up married and with a child?
Former friends and schoolmates might have tried to dissuade you time and time again to leave him, pitying you for spending your youth making ends meet and watching over your comatose mother-in-law, Jinah, and now your own baby.
But you don’t need their ‘advice’ when it all basically boiled down to having you leave your family because you ‘deserved better.’
They are already what’s best for you.
Why can’t they see that?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“ How are you and Sung Jinwoo? Sorry I couldn’t check up on you guys sooner. Life’s been pretty hectic on my end.”
“I’m sorry I couldn’t attend your baby shower before! I had an important appointment that I couldn’t bail out on back then. Why don’t we go out for coffee to catch up?”
“...way too long since we last got together! Our whole class is gonna have a reunion this weekend. Everyone will be stoked to see you and Sung Jinwoo there— ”
Beep.
You don’t have the chance to reply to the latest call you received from another ‘old friend’ when your husband pressed the ‘end’ button in one swift movement. Though his face looked impassive, his scent clearly revealed his agitation…not to mention the shadows that seemed to curl spread from the soles of his feet.
“First they tell you that I’m not good enough for you and that you should leave me, but now they’re all tripping over themselves just to get to me through you…” His lips stretched into a snarl, power rolling off of him in waves at their blatant shamelessness.
Jinwoo’s inner alpha snorted and growled, the mere thought of these impertinent swine daring to involve themselves with his mate even if to gain some sort of favor from him made him see red.
How dare they?! He will rip and tear into their bodies and reap their souls to become his puppets if they so much as even approach you. Did they think he was bound by the rules of ordinary mortals? Foolish!
The hunter’s alpha grinned diabolically, cackling from within the confines of his soul at thought of giving them their just desserts.
“My big, strong alpha…Always willing to jump into the fray to provide for and protect us…How can I even think about choosing anyone else?” You crooned and purred at him, the soft sounds and your calming scent enveloping him and taming the shadows that once agitatedly tried to claw their way out of him to carry out his will.
Burrowing into his arms, you embrace his waist and nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck as best as you could considering his height had also shot up recently. A few soothing kisses and kitten licks against the skin of his neck later, Jinwoo’s darkness ceased pouring out of him.
Because now he focused on wholeheartedly pouring every last drop of cum into your quivering pussy, thrusting weakly even as his fat knot plugged you up. Your lower belly bulged with the amount of cum he’d already fucked into you, but he still didn’t think it was enough.
At the rate he was going, he’s definitely gonna knock you up again.
Not that you were complaining. It was about time for Yeonjin to finally have a sibling to love.

season's call.
jinwoo sung x fem.reader
{ my beloved season calls me | because i always feel you in me. }
most people would cower in fear at the thought of walking alone in the middle of the night-
yet you could say with confidence that you were not one of those people.
despite being a young woman living in the midst of the big city like seoul, you found a strange safety while walking within the darkness of the night-
a comfort, even.
with your job requiring you to work many hours, it came as no surprise when you came home most days feeling completely drained. the exhaustion seeming to seep within your very bones as your drooping eyes could barely stay open the moment you came back to your apartment.
sometimes, your boyfriend was around, but most times, he would often be working. taking on his duties as the latest s-rank hunter and dominating various gates that appear across the city. but you would never worry too long about him, simply falling back in bed while re-reading his last message that was sent to you until your eyes could barely remain open.
my monarch 👑 [ you just go home and focus on resting. i'll be home soon, i love you. oh, and please, do dream of me. ]
those were the last words you recall reading until your cellphone slipped from your fingertips, ready to land against the hardwood floorings of your shared bedroom had it not been for a certain shadow gently catching it before placing the device on your nightstand.
it wasn't until several hours later that you finally woke up from your nap, which was what lead you to your current predicament.
being well past midnight, you felt groggy from your nap and became aware of the lack of sustenance felt within your system. after freshening up within your bathroom, you allow your eyes to stare blearily at your reflection. your hand touches at your cheeks, noticing the dark circles as you sigh and began to wash your face once more.
"my queen... are you alright?"
as you dry your face with the plush towel, you trail your eyes down towards your shadow, seeing several, glowing purple eyes looking back at you. normally, such a frightening sight would be enough to cause someone to feel an immense fear-
but not to you.
"i'm fine. since there's not much to eat here, i plan to buy something to eat for me and jinwoo at the convenience store. do you mind accompanying me?"
"of course, my queen. our king will be delighted with your decision."
with a smile painting your lips, you nod before grabbing your phone and bag, extracting your keys as you decided to explore the city and buy a late dinner for you and jinwoo to enjoy later on once he comes home. the city was bustling with activity, and you allow the sensation of the wind to course through you, humming a favorite tune as you walked with confidence across the sidewalks.
as you enjoy the sights of the city, you felt danger quickly approaching you. goosebumps were felt erupting all across the expanse of your arm as a low whistle was heard trailing from close behind you. you stiffen momentarily, but ultimately decide to stop walking.
you allow your eyes to follow the voice, seeing a man sneering at you as he came out from a random alleyway. your heart was felt racing slightly, summoning your flight or fight response-
yet your fear was short lived when several, tiny whispers were heard coming from your shadow.
"hey hey hey, what's the rush babygirl? you're lookin' a little lost."
the faint scent of alcohol was evident when you felt the man's calloused hands grabbing on to you. you had to fight back the repulsion that threatens to course through you, mustering the coldest look you could manage when you stiffly tell the drunkard, "i'm taken. my boyfriend will be livid if he sees you forcing yourself onto me."
he gives you a smirk now, his piercings glinting from beneath the moonlight while his hold on you seemed to tighten when he tells you.
"aw, don't be like that, babe. heheh, i bet you're just stiff because you need a good fuckin' to help with loosening you up, that's all."
he was about to get closer to you when he saw the wisps of shadows surrounding you. you close your eyes, already basking in amusement when you saw the panicked look within the bastard's eyes.
"w-what the hell? you a fucking hunter?"
no, but my boyfriend is one.
you keep your thoughts to yourself, allowing the cold shadows to surround you as you briefly wondered what shadow soldier would appear, ready to defend you with their life.
would it be igris? or beru?
"you." within mere seconds, you found your answer, gasping when jinwoo himself appears in front of you.
your knees were weak, feeling your heart began to pound when you were met with jinwoo's broad back. he keeps a powerful hand behind you, using his body as a shield between you and the poor bastard who dared to hit on you.
"a-a-ah..."
you hear the shakiness in his voice when jinwoo grabs a hold of his shirt, slamming the bastard against the harsh, brick wall of the alleyway with a click of his tongue. the bastard never stood a chance, losing his consciousness immediately as he slumps against the concrete.
jinwoo was breathing heavily when he finally faces you, eyes still glowing a bright purple when his shaky hands gently frame at your face.
"are you alright, sarang?" his voice was shaky, still assessing your features for any trace of fear or discomfort. "i'm sorry if i was a little late, but... when i saw that bastard coming on to you-"
he trembles, letting out a shaky sigh when you felt his hands clutching at your shoulders in a tighter manner. "i nearly lost myself to my rage, ready to rip that bastard into shreds if i had to."
finally snapping out of your reveries, you sigh and wrap your arms around jinwoo's neck, your embrace and the way your warmth seemed to surround him being enough to calm him down.
"i'm alright, jinwoo... i'm just so happy to see you again."
you laugh before pressing gentle kisses against his jawline, slowly calming down your beloved boyfriend as he basks in your presence. he lets out a sigh of your name before wrapping his arms around your back, resting his head against your shoulder while gently holding you in his arms.
"did you just finish your raid?"
you look at him with amusement in your eyes when he gives you a gentle nod against your shoulder.
"yeah, i'm done."
"then, let's get some dinner together, shall we?"
you feel jinwoo place a lingering kiss against your shoulders before moving away from you, the rage in his eyes finally dying down into a gentle simmer as you could see the clarity of his grey eyes once more.
"yes, let's go." he nods, with the two of you completely forgetting about the man who was foolish enough to hit on you, leaving his unconscious body near the alleyway he had came from.
and as you continue to explore the city while in the arms of your beloved shadow monarch, you knew that he was the sole reason you had no reason to fear the night-
for sung jinwoo would always be right by your side when danger struck, ready to protect you with all that he had.

Another snippet from Pillow Talk Part 2:
A certain glow in his eyes causes the soft hairs on your nape to rise. Every nerve of your body pleads for his touch, but he won’t grant your wish just yet. “But I have to be patient, don’t I, Sweetheart?” Jinwoo continues with a glimpse of arrogance written on his lips, knowing he already has you dancing in the palm of his hand. “After all, the game just started. Although…” He leans close, his lips barely touching your ear as he speaks hushedly. “I doubt I could resist it if my sweet girl started acting all needy for me now.”
You force out a scoff even when your body is eager to have his taste in your mouth. “You wish.”
He simpers at your reaction, entertained by your desperate attempt to mask embarrassment. He lets his lips brush against the shell of your ear as he speaks in a low, dark whisper. “Don’t try to deny it, love. I can see right through you. The way you’re clenching your legs together” —his hand grips your thigh, fingers pressing deep into your skin— “the way you bite your lip,” he kisses you, brief and chaste, but the soft, sultry moan he makes on purpose is anything but innocent. “You’re already getting needy, aren’t you?”
Your stomach somersaults at how his smirk breaks so naturally, so seductively on his lips. Afraid you’ll succumb to your desire, you push a hand to his face, returning the safe space between you. “Your turn to ask me now.”
Jinwoo lets out a small laugh at your childish act, gently prying your hand away from him. “Someone’s avoiding the question,” he says, amused. “All right, my turn. I’m going to make sure you answer mine, okay, Sweetheart?”
The subtle threat only excites you. “Fine. Just don’t ask anything weird. Or perverted.”
Your husband chuckles, sinking his head back to the dip of your neck again. He tugs on your strap with his teeth, his hand now brazenly glides over your chest, feeling the way your sensitive bud hardens under the satin but leaving it ignored—for now. “But you’d like the perverted ones, wouldn’t you?” His grin blooms on your skin before he places a warm, open-mouthed kiss on your shoulder. Your fingers clench into fists, doing everything you can to suppress your moan. When he breaks away, he carries himself nonchalantly as if he didn’t just grind his teeth against your skin a second ago. “Don’t worry, baby. I’ll behave,” he finishes with a coquettish grin. “For your sake.”
He’s toying with me. “Just give me the damn question.”
“Patience is a virtue, my love. Let me think for a second. I don’t want to come up with something… boring.” His gaze turns playful when it meets yours, referring to your earlier question.
“Are you making fun of me again?”
“Me? Make fun of you? Never,” he coos as his smirk proves otherwise. Jinwoo gets an idea shortly after, another smirk forming instantly on his face. “If you could change one part of my body, what would it be? But, of course, if you think everything is perfect, you can say that, too.”
You send him a flat stare. “Your dick. Would’ve liked it better if it was bigger.”
He laughs out loud at your answer, his seductive smirk morphing into a perfect view of his marbled teeth. He appears so young like this, refreshing and sweet. “Oh, baby, you know I don’t lack in that area, don’t you? If you were saying something about my face, I would’ve believed you, but that…” He snorts in amusement. “Come on now.”
“Oh, you’re so annoying.” You throw a playful jab at his stomach. Well, it is true that he’s packing more than necessary down there, but… You’re not going to give him that satisfaction, are you? “Where does this confidence even come from?”
He chuckles, catching your hand. “Of course, I’m confident. After all…” His fingers slide past your elbow, up to your shoulder, traveling over soft skin until they cup the side of your neck. His thumb rubs over your lips, his eyes misted with desire when he says, “You look too satisfied most of the time. If not, always.”
You can feel his digit applying pressure on your lips, wanting you to part them open for him, but you stop him by curling your fingers around his wrist. “M-Maybe it’s just because you’re good at using it, not because of the size itself.”
Jinwoo smiles almost wickedly, his eyes gleaming in the dimness of your bedroom. “Careful now. I’m gonna get cocky.”
“I’m not complimenting you, dummy. I’m trying to make an argument!”
Your attitude only amuses him further. He pulls you closer, your body now flushed against his. His lips graze your ear when he speaks, his voice low and a little teasing. “Oh, no, Sweetheart, I can tell you’re complimenting me. Don’t worry, I know I’m the best. And I know you know that, too.”
You roll your eyes despite your heart thrashing against your ribcages in response. “Next question.”
