So about Left 4 Freddy!

I wanna talk about each of the infected, because we had /everyone/ modded.

l4d2 cast is Sun, Moon, Roxy, Freddy. l4d cast is Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy Jimmy Gibs Jr. is Golden Freddy

All 'normal infected' are Various Staffbots Hunter is Sun/Moon also Jockey is BB Spitter is Mangle Smoker is Ennard Boomer is Mascot Mimic Charger is Withered Bonnie Tank is Monty Witch is Vanny INFO DUMP AND IMAGES BELOW THE BREAK!!!!!!!

The original cast, Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy; I ALSO headcanon these 4 to be the Midnight Riders(RENAMED TO The Midnight Motorists)(lol) So the Midnight Motorists are the original cast, and the L4F2 cast look up to them, which makes meeting them in The Passing so much sweeter. However, the only one of the four who doesn't make it to The Passing is Foxy, this is because he was the most withered of the main four, and just didnt make it. (his modded char is deceased) As for the infected, they're all staffbots because honestly it's just funny. The AU /maybe/ has normal humans? Staffbots can work too. Tank is Monty, however these Montys are from OTHER pizzaplexes. ON that note, Hunters are too. Hunters during the day are Sun, and during the night they are Moon. These are NOT our sun and moon- but S/Ms from other plexs. However, this makes it hard for Sun and Moon to kill these infected- since they resemble so much of them. Jockey as BB is so funny guys u dont understand HAHA Mangle, Ennard, Mascot Mimic, Withered Bonnie are all just random so dont think abt it too much HAHA Vanny being Witch is genuinely so cool!! If I can get a clip some time, I'll post it! She wonders around while crying; growling and even attacking when the crew gets too close. Most often during playing, Roxy was the one to set Vanny off and be attacked. So it's not a headcanon that Vanny as the witch has a tendency to target Roxy. Sun and Moon are most likely to be hit by Chargers(Withered Bonnies), because their lanky, towering figure does, in fact, make it hard to dodge them quickly. Freddy is most likely to get hooked by Smokers(Ennards) for some reason.

--- Other random dialogue thingz!! --- In the beginning of The Dark Carnival, after getting Jimmy's car in The Passing; Sun says that he'd like a minute alone with the car, as he really enjoyed being able to drive the stock car. Roxanne comments "I understand..." Quickly before going quiet. I like to think this is because Roxy used to be a racer. She understands the connection to a car- as silly as it is. Oftentimes, Coach called Rochelle "Ro" in dialogue. So they call Roxy "Ro" in L4F au as well. -Roxy nicknames: Ro (From all), Miss (Sun), Ma'am (Sun/Moon) -Sun nicknames: Boy (Freddy), Youngin (Also Freddy), Hon/Honey(Ro), Goober (Moon), Killer (Moon) -Moon nicknames: Moondrop (Freddy), Stars (Ro), -Freddy nicknames: Sir (Sun), Fred (All), Mr. Pizza (Moon) Sun and Moon's relationship is pretty goofy. Typically peaceful banter betweeen the two ensues! Example of their modded character's dialogues LOL:

--- Moon is jokingly flirtatious, he's coping... dont @ him ok He's also a total man baby during the sewer area. Sun is a complete goober, rambling and bantering with the crew. For some reason he's also a hopeless romantic towards roxy but like it's also just him being kinda dumb Freddy has taken on a very fatherly role calling to the others so much as "youngin". He also often gives a screaming ovation after making it through an area successfully. Roxy is pretty cocky towards the infected, saying stuff like "I'll give that bitch a reason to cry." In regards to the witch. However, she's sweet and refers to many in her team so much as "sweetheart" or "hon".

what's your favorite campaign(s), and why? do you prefer double pistols, deagle, or melee?

hmmm i dont think i have favorites per se! but i do find myself gravitating towards dead center, dark carnival, and the parish more often than hard rain and swamp fever.. its the water in those ones that make it so frustrating lmao

if i had to pick a fave i think it would be either dead center or dark carnival, very basic i know lolol but theyre fun :3

when it comes to the l4d campaigns i think i like them all, i dont have anything bad to say about any of them, theyre all overall similar so its a continuous good pace

i definitely have always chosen melee, way easier when it comes to a horde.. ive tried pistols and deagle and its so chaotic i feel like im genuinely in the apocalypse getting whooped lmao

ik eeeverybody says dark carnival but MAN I LOVE DARK CARNIVAL SM!!!!!! its what got me into l4d actually!!!!! its both eerie and really campy and i love the tonal dissonance, its humorous yet it still gets you invested in the zombie apocalypse atmosphere. plus the dialogue perfectly showcases every characters personality, more than any other campaign in my opinion: ellis’s excitability and naïveté; nick’s callousness but willingness to go along; rochelle’s desperation for normalcy contrasting her growing fondness for the group; coach’s ability to keep morale up, being lighthearted even whilst keeping everybody together. theres so much flavor dialogue too, the little details most players wouldnt even think about, like regarding all the different foods in the fairgrounds or how if you shoot at a stack of stuffed animals it can trigger a line from ellis saying “i think i won something.” the level design is excellent, with a pretty straightforward narrative but lots and lots of immersive decor as well as many places to go diverge from the path and be rewarded with both items and worldbuilding. from my experience, many players would argue that the coaster and the barns are some of the most challenging chapters in the franchise. overall, the whole campaign is just so iconic! the concert finale? the voice lines? the whole gnome chompski minigame? its all so well done :D

Collapsed Campaign AU

This is an Au where the universe had broken and fused together the L4D and L4D2 campaigns.

This Au was inspired by this mash up made by Urser.

This could be an Au, or it could also be a map idea. Take your pick. (If you do want to make it a map go ahead, just ask first.)

The idea is that all eight survivors, or a mix of the two groups pair into fours, have to traverse a fusion (or more accurately amalgamation) of two different campaigns.

For example, No Mercy would be fused with Dead Centre. Crash course would be fused with Dark carnival.

As a special treat, every time they complete a complete a campaign, they get sent back to The Passing. It starts of broken and untraversable, but every time they get back, the level, and the world itself, is fixed a little more.

So the survivors are tasked with setting things right again.

one of my personal favourite headcanons I've come up with recently is that everyone agrees that the Midnight Riders had one good song, but nobody agrees on which song that is.

Ellis loves Stay On That Mountain. Coach thinks the best is Every Lady's Crazy. Francis can't stand anything except maybe Save Me Some Sugar, whereas Duke loves One Bad Man and Danny thinks All I Want For Christmas (Is To Kick Your Ass) is hilarious but dislikes the band in general.

this is characters who like, or at least tolerate, the band of course. a good chunk of the cast either haven't heard of them, haven't heard enough of their songs to make their mind up, or hate all of em (lookin at you Ro).

bonus: Keith isn't picky about the songs, he's in it purely for the pyrotechnics (which he tries to replicate in their own band with varying degrees of success).
