"How are you doing this evening?" She asked, making polite conversation. She wasn't the most well-spoken but she supposed the best experience was just doing it. She needed friends desperately.

She nodded. At least she was with someone that seemed to know what they were doing. "Sounds good. I haven't had much alcohol before. Probably for the best to drink lightly."

"let's get a couple then. don't drink them too quickly. you'll stand out that way," chelsea said, "nobles drink like they have all the time in the world."

She looked around the area, sightseeing the city that she was now forced to be in. But she didn't mind it so much. At least she got to see a new part of the world. In a new time, as well. And what better way to get to know the place then talking to the locals. She approached one, all smiles. "What would you say is the best place in the city?"

She was out a bit late, late enough to watch the stars in the sky pretty clearly. She was startled as she heard someone drawing near. She gasped, looking over her shoulder before calming down. "Sorry. Didn't expect anyone else to be out."

"Where do you get one of those?" She asked, pointing to the man's phone. She didn't have one. But it seemed everyone in this time did. She didn't know what it did or how it worked. She knew people talked on them. Which was fascinating. But she was also intimidated by it.

"This place is very strange. So many tall buildings. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it that wasn't just a castle." She observed, looking up at one particularly tall skyscraper. It made her stomach turn just a little bit, imagining being up that high.

"Excuse me, do you know where the nearest library is?" She asked the stranger. Reading up on what she'd skipped in history was a great idea. Especially considering phones kind of intimidated her. Reading from books was much more her speed. Though she did like the idea of being able to communicate with people easier than sending letters.

Laura is a kind woman from Austria. She grew up quite lonely and haunted in her family's home with just her father for company. Until she met Carmilla, a vampire that came to stay with her for a while after her carriage crashed outside her home. That was the inciting incident pretty much.

"I wasn't let out much. Where I grew up the next town over was too far away for me. So I didn't know many people. I had a cousin but she died. And then there was one girl that I was friends with. I haven't seen her in a long time though." She said, unsure if she'd even call Carmilla a friend. She didn't know what to call her.

jester's face fell, "no not really. my ma didn't let me go out much. i snuck out a lot and met people that way, but i didn't have many friends. it wasn't until one of my pranks went kinda wrong and i had to leave my city did i really meet people that later became my friends." she smiled thinking about the mighty nein. "what about you?"

She considered the offer before smiling and nodding, moving to join the other. "They look really nice tonight." She commented, unsure if it was better to stay quiet or try and fill the air with conversation. She supposed she was going with the latter.

"You don't have too! It's not a bother." Anya had to stop herself from saying she didn't ruin the evening. It might lead to questions, and no one knows she's a telepath. "Come and sit, enjoy the stars with me." She smiled.

"That works for me." She said. Though she had no clue if she was obligated to pay. She didn't know the social conventions when it came to things like this.

"Oh no, I don't have anything to do today so we're all good." Wade told her with a nod. "Only thing we have to get in between is some food because i get hungry."

She smiled, nodding. "I'd like that." She said. She hesitated before she continued speaking. "You know, that whole thing was closer to where I'm from than Washington actually is." She said with a shrug.

"Oh, hello. Crazy event, right?" Lucy said with a small chuckle, though something felt slight familiar during the old times. "I'm not a lady anymore but we can always hang out when I have free time. If you want, of course".

"That sounds fun. Did you get to meet a lot of people?" She asked. That was the downside of her upbringing. She didn't often have anyone around other than her father. And she loved him but... well, she wanted people her own age.

"oh, they're nice! well..a lot of them anyways. the one i grew up in, the lavish chateau, was really nice. my mama works there so that's why we lived there." she rambled and explained. she nodded, "it's very fascinating. i feel like i find one new thing everyday"

She nodded along. "Pretty much the same. Though I do think a little excitement would be fun." She said with a small, genuine smile. "Yes, please."

"I'm doing great, the day it's been quiet for now and I like the calmness. How about you?" Lucy asked Laura. "Would you like some more tea?".

She nodded, taking a mental note of his comments. "Yes, the food here is quite good. Really different." She said. Though that wasn't hard for her. She didn't get around much in her previous world.

Tommy was looking at his camera, having just finished filming something. He looks up, smiling. "I love the park if I'm honest. I know other people will say different things, but this park to me is my favorite thing. But there's also really delicious food as well here."

She feels bad despite how illogical it was. Felt like she was ruining the other girl's evening. "Uh... I can leave, if you'd like." She offers. If being alone was truly what she sought. Laura could take it or leave it. Or... that's what she wants to think. But in actuality, she's desperate for social interaction.

"Didn't mean to scare you!" It's always hard to tell if Anya should be quiet when she walks at night or should be loud. "Yeah, that's why I like to come out. It's a lot more peaceful." And it helps Anya, so she doesn't have to read so many thoughts.
