starting DECEMBER, JUNKYU, MINJUN, and YOOJOON will be added to the V&A instagram for the monthly sns, can participate in the universe prompts ( listed every month on the monthly sns posts), and be eligible for OPEN EVENTS 006 ( FANSITES ) and 007 ( BIRTHDAY ). if you want to get a head start, you can send the main your e-mail account to be added to the V&A fansite blog. the rest of the information regarding those two events can be found in their respective posts.

“while everyone has been busy, the coaches have been analyzing everyone’s performances over the past couple of weeks. the general consensus that we’ve gathered from them is that everyone will be spending more time practicing on the performance aspect. there are some members who are doing well so far, but there are others who… to put it nicely, have been focusing on other areas instead. for this comeback, we want to showcase more of everyone’s skills and improvements as performers so more of your free time will be spent in the practice rooms. by the end of the year, the coaches will reevaluate and analyze your skills and improvements. if there are very little or no improvements from each of you in the assigned skills, expect some consequences.” KYUHWAN ended his speech as he looked towards his brother, who began announcing the new group roles.

these are the list of skills that the coaches would like the V&A members to work on. do note that if the skills mentioned were the same as the last time feedback was given, it most likely means that the muse is on the right track but will still need to work at it to balance with V&A’s current skill sets. if it is listed that there is no feedback next to the name, they will still be encouraged to work on the performance related skills due to the comeback preparations and promotions. if the muse was asked to work on a specific language, it’s expected for them to reach at least 50 POINTS within the next few months.

additionally, for JUNKYU, MINJUN, YOOJOON, and since they were suggested by the coaches in the LGC FALL BOYS post to work on specific skills for that project ( it may or may not be the same as the ones mentioned here ), the year end evaluation will be a bit more lenient on them as long as points were put in the skills mentioned/writing requirements were completed.

KYUWON began explaining the details about their new dorms, “one good news that we would like to share with you is that all of us will be moving to bigger dorms. V&A will be residing in the same building, just in different floors. each unit has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1 kitchen. because there are 3 bedrooms, we’re going to make all of you pick spoons from this container and whoever gets the same letter will be rooming together. the exception to this is the third bedroom, which can only occupy one person at the moment so if you so happen to be the one that was picked for that, congratulations to you.”

V&A SONG STEALER UPDATE

“the episodes for this season are still airing, but from what we’ve been told, the show has garnered quite a bit of attention with the general public and fans. since the fans wanted to see another episode of this show, we will be putting it on pause due to comeback preparations and return back to it when the group has more time to film the next season.” KYUWON states as he turns to look at his brother.

“to thank the fans for being supportive of the group and show, LGC will be hosting a fansign event where all of the ones who have participated in the second season ( everyone minus the new members ) will be dressing up as their musical god counterpart. there will be a short group interview where the host will be asking you questions about your experience filming seasons 1 and 2 of ‘V&A’s song stealer’ followed by the fansign event where fans can interact with you and sign some of the V&A merchandise we have. the event will be happening on OCTOBER 19, so you could consider your outfits as an early celebration for halloween too.” KYUHWAN teases the members before laughing.

because of year end ceremonies, the promotions for this comeback will last until JANUARY 12. they will have a break from music shows between DECEMBER 16-JANUARY 2, before they continue on for a couple more days in JANUARY. during the first week of music show promotions ( DECEMBER 3-8 ), they will be performing “JACKPOT” ( V&A ), “LOVERS OR ENEMIES” ( VERSUS ), and “BOOM BOOM BASS” ( AGITO ). the V&A members will be releasing music videos for “LOVERS OR ENEMIES” and “BOOM BOOM BASS” in JANUARY as a way to thank the fans. starting mid to late DECEMBER, V&A will then be preparing for future comebacks in Q1 and Q2 2025.

later in the term, there will be an update to this mission revealing the music chart results for this comeback, so please look forward to that!

MAMA AWARDS ( NEW MEMBERS DEBUT )

more information about the MAMA awards will be in the YEAR END EVENT post, but JUNKYU, MINJUN, and YOOJOON will be debuting during that event. JUNKYU and MINJUN will be debuting first on NOVEMBER 21 while YOOJOON will be debuting on NOVEMBER 23. congratulations to the three members for their debut!

during this time, JUNKYU and YOOJOON will be working on their special stage that will be a part of the MAMA awards performance. based on the responses from the previous TEAM UNKNOWN MISSION, JUNKYU will be performing his rendition of ‘REVEAL’ while YOOJOON will be performing his rendition of ‘TRAVELER’. each of their performances will be around a minute but since V&A is known more for their producing skills, JUNKYU and YOOJOON will be asked by their coaches to pitch in how they would like their performance to be. it’ll be similar to how it was in TEAM UNKNOWN MISSION 003 ( PART 2 ), where they can add their own creative twist to it using the skills that they have ( eg. changing the melody or genre, adding/excluding rap parts, etc ). the V&A managers will mention that if they need any help, they can ask the coaches for assistance.

V&A REACTS TO ( SEASON 3 )

for the third season of ‘V&A REACTS TO’, the cast will consist of HARU, MAXIMILIAN, JIHO, YUSHIN, and YEONWOO! they will be filming most of the episodes across the four months and will be watching the music videos a few days prior to the actual release. they will be filming their reactions to the following songs & music videos:

HARU & YEONWOO ( EPISODE 1 / AIRING - OCTOBER 21 ): reacting to “ootd” ( FABULA )

MAXIMILIAN, JIHO, YUSHIN ( EPISODE 2 / AIRING: NOVEMBER 15 ): reacting to “girls never die” ( NOVA )

in terms of filming, they will be recording these videos whenever the pairing/group has some free time. during the reactions, they can give their thoughts regarding the song and music video ( eg. their interpretation of the music video/song’s message, arrangement, behind the scenes recording/filming [ for jackpot ], etc ). these videos will be condensed to around 15 minutes each.

1000 NOTORIETY REWARD ( JIHO )

starting OCTOBER it will be announced ic that JIHO has accepted a brand ambassadorship for VERSACE and his newly appointed title will be “versace prince”! there will be no requirements for this nor do you have to confirm the renewal, so it will be a permanent contract and will take up one of the modeling contract spots.

( note: since this is the first mission that announced the 1,000 notoriety reward, the points form for all of the 1,000 notoriety reward submits will be processed AFTER all of the career missions have been posted! )

STUDIO ROOMS UPDATE

near the end of DECEMBER, AKIO and SEOJIN will join many of the V&A members and have their own studio rooms to decorate to their own liking. for JUNKYU, YOOJOON, and MINJUN, they will be getting theirs sometime next year/2025.

BIRTHDAY LIVESTREAMS

during this term, there will be birthday livestreams for AKIO ( OCTOBER 21 ), JIHO ( OCTOBER 31 ), and SEOJIN ( DECEMBER 1 ). for AKIO and SEOJIN, they will be eligible to partake in the new OPEN EVENT 009 ( BIRTHDAY LIVESTREAM ), which will be posted later. as for JIHO, a variation of the open event has been completed last year so he cannot do the open event but can write about the birthday livestream if chosen to do so ( however it won’t count for points ).

━━ lee jiho : 2023 year end review

“what were some of your greatest accomplishments this year and out of all of them, which one was the most memorable one for you?”

it might be a cop-out for him to answer this with future dreams season 7, but he can't think of any other answer that comes close to it. writing chaser is something that he had really never thought would be something that he would get to do so early in his career—never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that he would get to work on all aspects of a solo song only 2 years after debut. it's kind of crazy but also he feels like legacy did something wonderful by giving him this chance to do it.

he really feels more confident in himself and in his own work more than ever. he can only hope that eterval enjoy the song as much as he did, and that they appreciate all of the artistic things he added in.

“what are some of your personal goals for 2024?”

he hopes that agito can have a good comeback in april and this song does better than all of their others. he hopes they can get a PAK for music show wins, even if he thinks that might be wishing a bit too hard. if not for this upcoming comeback, then the one after. he also hopes to be able to write and produce a title song for agito one day, or perhaps v&a if the timing works out. he wants to write more songs and he wants to produce more songs too. if possible, he thinks it would be fun to compose for a group outside of legacy—he'll never forget the prank that kyuwon had pulled on him for his birthday, and how he had been disappointed that it had been a prank and not something real.

aside from composing and producing, he wants to do more magazine spreads and cfs maybe. he thinks that those are always fun to shoot and he doesn't mind doing interviews as much as he used to. also, he wants to appear on shows with agito.

“aside from the role attached to you (eg. main vocalist, lead dancer, etc.) what else do you think you contribute to the group?”

he doesn't really have to think too hard for this question either, even considering the fact that he's gained a new position recently. he's definitely the lyricist/composer in the group though he feels pretty proud that the other members of agito seem to also be interested in dabbling in that too. he's enjoyed being a member of the 'producer line' of v&a as well and working with yushin and yeonwoo too with all of the yujiwon things has also been great.

he also like to think that he helps keep the dorm neat, though he's not sure if that's just because the other members are worried he'll yell at them for not cleaning up after themselves when he comes back late at night or something.

“as a group, what do you hope to accomplish in the next year or two?”

as a group, he had already mentioned a PAK as a goal and that mostly was for agito. considering they've recently worked on 'timeless' together, he thinks it would be nice if the fans received the song well since the lyrics were really written for them. it's not officially a fan song, but he likes to think that the fans will understand that it technically is.

he hopes to be able to perform it for them soon.

going with that, he wants to write another song with the other agito members since the first one had been so much fun to work on together.

another big goal that he hopes to achieve for agito is to have a world tour for them (maybe along with versus, since it wouldn't be right to only send half of the group on tour, right?) and if possible, another comeback later in the year.

with his second trimester in agito and his face officially now attached to the stagename 'myungsoo', he was more than eager to go ahead and throw himself head first into the preparations for the first actual mini album to include him. if recording spring boys had been an experience, the whole process of recording the songs for this mini album felt surreal.

he'd had an incredible amount of fun, while tentatively suggesting small ad lips for his lines or try different ways of delivery; and now he was here. "hyung... I'm not sure if we're the luckiest group to have Kyuwon Hyung as a manager or not- this- the dance practice idea is so good, it's just...," he drifts off with a shy laugh, fighting to not hide his face behind his palms. max was mostly down for mayhem and chaos but there was still that small part of worry he'd make himself look like a fool.

with V&A resuming the latter half of their music promotions, KYUWON called all of the AGITO members together in one of the practice rooms before they head to their next gig.

COACHES’ FEEDBACK UPDATE

“last time we told you that we expect all of you to work on your assigned skills and the coaches have told me that all of you have been doing a good job in that department. they still expect most of you to continue working on the same skills as before, which means that you aren’t completely off the hook yet.”

SONG FEATURE UPDATE ( YUSHIN )

( important note: all of the info below for this section would have been disclosed prior to this meeting. )

YUSHIN will be featuring in one of FABULA’s b-sides called “VAY” ( lyrics distributions for this can be found HERE ). around FEBRUARY ( whenever he’s not busy and/or not working on AGITO’s japanese promotions ), he will be meeting up with FABULA to record the song. due to his producing experience and contribution to the song, he will be present during the recording to provide feedback and advice for the girls.

since YUSHIN will be participating in the producing aspect of this b-side, he is given the option to claim a PARTIAL or MAJOR credit ( arrangement/composition AND lyric writing ). for the lyric writing, it will be a given that he will have some sort of credit ( up to the mun whether it’s PARTIAL or MAJOR ) while for the arrangement/composition, it’s up to the mun if YUSHIN would like to claim PARTIAL, MAJOR, or NONE. due to the circumstances of this opportunity, it will be slightly different from the NOTORIETY TIERS song claims in that there are no point requirements and he will still have some sort of credit to the song, regardless of whether he is eligible for the FEBRUARY NOTORIETY TIERS. please notify the main before JANUARY 18, 2025 11:59PM EST what he will be claiming.

JAPANESE PROMOTIONS

“our JAPANESE comeback will be right around the corner, which means that soon after the JACKPOT promotions end, all of you will be working on the final bits of the song before heading to JAPAN. the higher-ups did promise us that after this promotion is done, all of you will be having your belated holiday break so we just need to push through the next couple of weeks before that happens. make sure to take care of each other during this time.” KYUWON added the latter as a reminder, understanding how much work the boys have been doing for the past couple of months.

for three weeks, AGITO will be attending various music show programs, meet & greet events, and the AGITO pop-up store. in between the promotions, they will be filming LGC CHARMS JAPAN and attending HANTEO MUSIC AWARDS ( they will be attending the first day, which is on FEBRUARY 15 ). during this time, they will receive their first win in the oricon charts twice ( this will be for the weeks of FEBRUARY 3-9 and 10-16 ).

once their promotions have concluded, AGITO will be given their holiday break, which will happen from MARCH 3-9.

AGITO POP-UP STORE

AGITO will be having a pop-up store in TOKYO starting from FEBRUARY 10 to MARCH 3. their pop-up store will have various AGITO merchandise (eg. photocards, acrylic stands, keychains, tote bags, clothes, albums, etc ) and to celebrate the opening of the store, AGITO will be present there during the opening day ( FEBRUARY 10 ). the AGITO members will interact with some of the fans and sign some special merchandise for a few of the lucky fans!

LUNAR NEW YEAR GREETINGS

a couple of days before the LUNAR NEW YEAR ( JANUARY 29 ), all of the V&A members will be dressed up in traditional clothing and record a lunar new year greeting for all of the fans which will be posted on V&A’s youtube channel.

HANTEO MUSIC AWARDS

the last music awards show that the group will be attending for the season will be the HANTEO MUSIC AWARDS, which will be happening on FEBRUARY 15-16. V&A will be attending the awards show on FEBRUARY 15 and will be receiving one award ( POST GENERATION AWARD ). they will be performing “JACKPOT” ( V&A ) and “GOD OF MUSIC” ( V&A ) for that show as well.

LGC CHARMS JAPAN ( SEASON 4 )

“i’ve been informed that LGC GIRLS JAPAN will be busy with their schedules so the team has decided that the fourth season will be focusing on AGITO. for this season, it will be called ‘JAPAN WONDERLAND’, which delves more into the japanese culture all while showing your unique personalities and doing some fun games and activities! personally, i’d say this is the best time to practice your japanese skills.” KYUWON smiled, excited to tell them the details of the show’s upcoming season.

EPISODES 1 & 2 [ AIRED MARCH 24 & 25 ]: show introduction and the MCs ( HARU and JIHO ) will explain the segments along with the team arrangements ( JIHO will be paired up with YOOJOON while HARU will be paired up with YUSHIN ). the latter half of episode two is an icebreaker trivia quiz question, where the PD will be asking the teams questions about japan ( eg. “what is the longest-running theatrical tradition in the world?”, “before tokyo, japan had several other capital cities. which is the most recent previous capital?”, “how tall is mount fuji?”, “which quintessentially japanese dish actually originates from portugal?”, etc. ). whoever receives the most points from the ice breaker trivia quiz will be given the first pick for the next segment. [ winning team: jiho & yoojoon ]

EPISODES 3 & 4 [ AIRED MARCH 31 & APRIL 1 ]: voice dubbing battle. each team will be randomly choosing a scene based on the genre ( mystery, romance, comedy, action ) choices. when the pair has chosen their genre, they will be dubbing and improvising the lines for the assigned animated scene ( eg. mystery = a detective interrogating a suspect about a stolen bento box, romance = dramatic confession between a shy student and an oblivious student, comedy = someone spilling ramen on the head of an intimidating stranger, adventure = hero and rival using their superpowers and having an intense battle ). each pair will be dubbing two scenes ( three if there’s a need for a tiebreaker ) and the filming crew will vote on who they think has the most engaging and entertaining scene. props will be available for the AGITO members if it helps them get into their chosen character role. [ winning team: haru & yushin ]

EPISODES 5 & 6 [ AIRED APRIL 7 & 8 ]: haiku and senryu battle. since V&A is known for their creative talents, each of the AGITO members will be given 30 minutes to write a short haiku or senryu based on a theme ( theme options: agito, etervals, flowers/cherry blossoms, love [ or love seeker if you want to reference their comeback song ], japan ). once the 30 minutes are up, each member will be asked to present their poems dramatically ( they have the option to include a mini skit to enhance the performance ). the film crew will once again vote for the most creative or funniest poem. this will be an individual challenge rather than a pair one, so two will be decided. [ most creative: jiho, funniest: yushin ]

EPISODES 7 & 8 [ AIRED APRIL 14 & 15 ]: for the final segment, since japan is known for their cuteness the AGITO members will each be taking on the kawaii transformation challenge. each member will be given a “cuteness kit”, which contains items such as cat ears, cute props, magical wands, plushies, etc. they will be given less than 10 minutes to create a character and perform a short skit or pose ( think something similar to a magical girl transformation from anime or twice’s ‘sailor moon aegyo battle’ segment ). the PD will be choosing the winner and the winner will be given a crown and sash. [ winners: tie between haru and yoojoon ]

EPISODE 9 [ AIRED APRIL 21 ]: AGITO reflects on their favorite segments and moments. they thank the viewers for watching and encourage them to continue supporting them and their future endeavors. near the end of the episode, there will be bloopers and some ‘behind the scenes’ content shown ( eg. moments that didn’t make it to the final cut originally, extended segments, etc. )

the episodes will be filmed throughout FEBRUARY, whenever the AGITO members have time in their schedules.

BIRTHDAY LIVESTREAM

during this term, there will be a birthday livestream for YUSHIN ( MARCH 10 ). since he’s completed a variation of OPEN EVENT 009 before, he cannot do the open event but can write about the birthday livestream if chosen to do so ( however it won’t count for points ).

the seventh instalment of my musical translation series, on the 7th day of the 7th month — 七七, 칠칠, chil chil, or seven seven. when a renowned joseon painter travels to the mountains to paint its landscapes, he is instead swept up in doubts regarding his past, his paintings, and his identity itself.

synopsis: joseon's first hwanjaengi — a derogatory term for a painter — choi buk. selling his paintings to earn a living, choi buk gains renown for his prowess as a landscape painter. yet he is prone to eccentricities such as soaking his paintings in water or tearing them up in front of a paying client, and his capricious nature leads others to distance themselves from him — save for his sole friend, mumyeong. hoping to paint a masterpiece, choi buk sets out for mount kumgang together with mumyeong, where he finds himself faced with the past he'd turned his back on. choi buk completes the painting, and when the pair return to hanyang, the influential politician wonjun approaches them to purchase it, offering to tell a story in return...
