every couple of months my fixation on kyouhaba intensifies like crazy and I spend hours delving through various social media trying to find all the fanart i can even through the stuff from years ago

maybe if i obsess strongly enough i can manifest more official kyouhaba content and/or for the fanbase to grow again

Summary: It takes Yahaba thirteen years to realize he's different from the other kids, one to figure out how to hide it, and two more to learn to be happy just the way he is. Yahaba's journey ft. an extremely annoyed Kyoutani, best friend in the world Watari, and loads and loads of good senpai Oikawa.

First time dipping my fingers in vampire aus so instead of a full length fic I decided on shorter scenarios. I'm more of a cannibal lover sorryyy. (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠) I love writing blood so that was fun

There's fun in tracing maps along his arm, running the soft pad of a thumb up his strained neck, gripping the wrist and pressing two fingers to hear a reassurung heartbeat

Babbling on and on about hunger and thirst and how crimson is such a nice, deep, rich colour that looks so good on everything

"you're quiet today", as if Kyoutani's ears aren't muffled by both TV and murmurs, "should I be worried? No roughhousing today", a self indulgent chuckle

Kyoutani doesn't spare him a glance, looks at flicking lights coming from the screen: it's game night, even if they don't particularly enjoy football all sports are good enough to watch

It's not like he can really ignore Yahaba, with both legs underneath him as a makeshift pillow. Kyoutani can't fully ignore Yahaba when he can hear so much, feel feather like touch along his wrists and is actively using his lap to rest on; both feet up on the arm rest

It takes another squeeze at his bicep to make Kyoutani whip his head straight, annoyed to have so much sound around him; looking up at Yahaba "if you're so hungry-", staring back at such a smug face, "go hunt down someone"

It's not as easy as it sounds. Kyoutani only holds his arm invitingly, firm muscle sculped in the gym calling Yahaba's name.

Yahaba doesn't hunt, he humours Kyoutani

The soft mouthed bite almost tickles and the eye contact shrinks everything down again. Yahaba lets his eye darken, poke the skin gently

It takes only a couple of minutes for the noise to come back up, this time it's a complaint

"don't drool on me", tone pitched up as he uses his palm to push Yahaba's face away, saliva dripping on his shirt making him groan aloud, scowl and sit up abruptly. They nearly knock their heads together

Yahaba shoves his shoulder, "oh don't even!", smiling even wider, "cant handle spit and you call me a priss? How hypocritical"

"shut it"

"no fun in arguing if you don't put some effort in your comebacks", bottom lip jutting out in a pout, head cocking to the side

He pretends to be shocked when Kyoutani pats him roughly, "lay down, it's uncomfortable to have my arm up"

Sneaking his hand back on the wrist and dragging his teeth along kyoutani's shoulder; the couch too small to accommodate two people of their size laying down, so he presses himself against the couch and restraints from sinking down on soft flesh

His voice muffled, "you act cute and speak ugly", going to squeeze his waist instead

Kyoutani shakes his head, sighing

He's still pinned against a cold wall, the whole situation would've been nostalgically humours if Yahaba hadn't just sank his fangs down his shoulder

Blood dripping down to his chest, the other frantically wiping the missed liquid with his hands; whining when Kyoutani's shirt gets in the way

Slipping his palm under the hem instead of smudging what he can before it gets lost, trying to save it before everything dries

Yahaba doesn't know whether to be delighted or thoroughly annoyed he can't have it all in his mouth. All the liters of life essence

"don't-", stuttering out with a breathy sigh, fisting Yahaba's jacket, knitting his eyebrows together "don't rip my throat out"

And it's funny, he hasn't even touched his neck yet. Copper filling every crack of his body, curiosity when Kyoutani gulps down and there's a slight shake of his knees

"you're messy", the usual bluntness, no judgement, just an observation, doesn't shake him off. Yahaba takes it as a cue to leave him alone, popping out his happy place by licking the spot clean

Satisfied to see a slight trembling, Smothering kisses up to soothe

He has fun teasing, liking their whole dynamic "you taste angry" it's a lie, it's copper and iron and religion; a poem and joy, so close to his primal, animalistic form

Yahaba could spend ages trying to describe how addictive it all is but it's never enough, there's no enough words or time to get it right

He kisses his neck, then his cheek and then he presses a bloody finger on plush, pink lips

There's no reply, so he keeps going, "it's not a bad taste, try it", smiling fondly when Kyoutani flick his tongue to have a go

No change in expression, almost boredom

"it's blood"

"well no shit!"

Yahaba sighs in mild frustration, shamelessly plopping his fingertips in his mouth

Kyoutani let's his eyes trail down, following each movement close

It's hard to look away when the nails, neatly trimmed and always perfectly clean, show caked blood underneath. Is it weird to stare at your own blood on top of someone else's skin?

He doesn't push Yahaba away when he gives another kiss, letting himself touch the collar of his shirt instead

Kyoutani spits out what he was holding behind his throat, "it wasn't that painful", he frowns when Yahaba only hums an agreement

"im gentler than most", way too pleased at himself

"i love you greedy, Shigeru"

He gets the reaction he wanted, Yahaba pausing and straightening his back. Nose wrinkling at the words. "Don't call me greedy"

Kyoutani shrugs, "but you are", emphasizing his point by poking his chest, "you're spoiled and greedy-", bumping his head back on the wall "-keep biting me"

"hmm?"

"keep biting me", holding eye contact the best he can, "for at least a few hours, keep being messy and gross"

Voice stern, "I'm not gonna drain you out", not bkthered ny the jabs anymore. It's all true

It's not a bad finale, dying of overconsumption and blood loss. It's romantic and greedy and tragic. Over the top, sure, but why not?

Yahaba tries to find a sign of doubt, only finds determination

The hands that cradled his head are still stained crimson and ugly, picturesque. Gorgeously horrifying fangs and open mouth, a pant and drool

Not biting is hard when it's so intimate

Yahaba goes back to work, beaming, "this is how we die, then!"

i don't care how many times i see it, i will ALWAYS lose my mind when the character whose notorious for being prim and proper, the one who always acts put-together finally breaks and goes absolutely apeshit. completely losing their composure. and everyone around them just watches like "oh... oh so they ARE as crazy as we are.. they just mask it better.. wow"

12. Do you outline your fics first? How detailed are they? How often do you stray from them?

There's usually 'timestamps' and that's it tbh, like, "this is when A says this which upsets B but it makes C happy, then there's drama, then A and B make up" but that's usually it. Oftentimes it's worse like "here's point A now let's see where the hell point B is".

However, some fics are planned by chapter usually, like CLWMB.

24. How do you choose who's POV to write?

Okay this sounds weird but I pick the person who doesn't have the answer. Like, I'll pick the person who doesn't know how the other person feels about them, or the person who knows the least about the situation.

Using CLWMB as an example again (I'm sorry, it's just my best fic), if Yahaba was the POV character then there would be less worry about Kyoutani's death because Yahaba knows he's a necromancer. Did that make sense lol?

27. What area of writing do you feel strongest in?

Dialogue for sure. It's the easiest by far.

HiJack, or ROTBTD: it all started when i watched Hot To Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians during the same summer. i somehow ended up googling the two together, and boom, i discovered HiJack (Hiccup/Jack Frost). Hi, does the "hijacked" in my url make sense now? anyways i started writing for them and, by extension, the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons fandom for a while. had a couple HP AUs for them as well, so thats why that series is dinged in my ao3 history as well lol theres some fics for them that didnt come with me from my travels from fanfic.net to ao3, so theres more out there LOL! (38 fics on ff.net, some crossposted to ao3. so its safe to assume ive written close to 100 fics. OOF)

AbeMiha, Big Windup: this was before i had tumblr. one of my favorite artists for HiJack, someone ive long since lost track of, posted their fanart on tumblr, and i noticed while diving through their art tag this show called "Oofuri" or, Big Windup. turns out, it was a baseball anime, and was the first anime i ever seriously watched! AbeMiha was my main there, and i wrote a few things for them too!

KageHina and KyouHaba, Haikyuu: one sports anime led to another. theyre like crack, okay? anyways of course i shipped kagehina, wrote a couple things there, but really tripped and fell for kyouhaba, a semi-rarepair who really took off. i stayed there for a bit! had a lot of fun!

Klance, Voltron: i ran into the loving arms of this one too. forced my little brothers to watch the show as well. it was a great time. i think i also submitted some fanfics to a short story class i was in at the time? it was wild

BakuDeku, BNHA: how could i not have started with this one? theyre amazing and perfect to me.

InoTan, Demon Slayer: dude, these guys were so silly and dumb i had to love them. fun fact: my highest viewed and kudos on the entirety of my ao3 is for InoTan! i love them

Creek, South Park: i have no excuse. they're cute! they infected my brain like a parasite and wouldnt leave for the longest time

Chilaios, Dungeon Meshi: my current beloved who i would lay down my life for!!

really, every single fandom ive gotten into has either been recommended to me, or i have been influenced to watch via my beautiful and amazing tumblr or twt moots. i owe them my life.

but yeah, thats my shipping/fandom history! this all started in 2013, so ive been fandom strong for roughly 11 years now! yippee!

I hate to say it but I'm not one for almost any type of AU...except that one Kyouhaba New Zealand cabinet minister hotel quarantine AU. She's different.

Also!! A huge one I'd add to S tier is First Time, or first time with a particular position, act, dynamic, kink, etc. The vulnerability!!!
