Roleplay/Writing Partner wanted
Hello, I'm currently on here looking for someone to roleplay/write with casually. Before I carry on for to long let's get a firm boundary addressed, I only wish to write with people 21+ years old. If you are not 21 years old or older please do not message me. Thank you.
When it comes to genre and plot I tend to lean towards slow burn romances, and I do prefer working in past settings or magical modern settings. I also have a few fandoms I am craving, but if I'm being honest I know their not everyone's cup of tea and will not take offense if you are not interested in them. I also enjoy original content hashed out between me and my partner. I also adore OOC conversation, so many friendships have come from roleplaying. I adore this. Another point is I am on eastern time and work morning shifts.
What sort of characters do I play? I prefer one of my mains to be a female role. But I'm completely fine also playing a two mains at once and the second can be my partner's preference. I am looking for someone who is open enough to write as both male and female characters, trans characters are also welcome. OCs are welcome and I'm willing to play canons for you to ship them with, I do ask the same in return.
Here is a list of my fandoms and the OCs I have for them.
🧡Game of Thrones: I have a OC I ship with Sandor Clegane (The Hound), her name is Dawn Baratheon, she is the sister to Robert Baratheon. She unfortunately has issues with her arranged husbands passing away in odd ways and ends up in the Red Keep more often than not.
🖤Naruto: Music Hatake (Muse), I ship her with Master Jiraiya. She is the cousin of Kakashi Hatake. Her ninjutsu is a plant based, she controls chakra through her feet and can use this technique to make seeds grow and use the plants during battle.
🧡Supernatural: Clementine Jones, I would ship her with John Winchester or Castiel. She is a young woman who has become a solo hunter. Using a cross road demon to make a deal to get knowledge from. Fortunately for her she made a solid deal that has yet been cashed in. This naturally makes the demon she made the deal with angry.
🖤 Hellboy: Abyzou, I ship her with Hellboy, she is a lava demon with the same lore of the actual demon I named her after. Her curse involves infertility and child mortality.
🧡X-Men/Deadpool: My OCs for this fandom are not finished because I've never wrote with them. I would be open to shipping with Hank McCoy (Beast), Cable, or Logan (Wolverine)
🖤Star Wars: Rey x Kylo Ren (Ben Solo), I love writing as Rey for this. I'm also open to making a OC for this fandom too.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Kay Shultz, a once slayer turned into a vampire who was given a soul by her watcher. I ship her with Spike (William)
If interested in any of this, or if you have questions PM🖤

Chapter 6: (Word Count 4127)
Jaturra was a strange planet. It had an ancient, primordial feeling to it that made Ada uneasy. After landing the poor, faithful Swift in the middle of a filthy bog, she and Ben had trekked across swathes of open moorland for several kilometres. Cold, thick mist had swirled about them. It had the effect of muffling the planet's already unfamiliar animal noises in the most unnerving way. It caused Ada to imagine, irrationally she hoped, that there were ghosts out there in the fog somewhere just beyond her sight.
Ada got the distinct impression that all progress, everywhere, on Jaturra was inherently slow. Now, they found themselves pushing their way at a glacial pace through an eerie, overgrown forest where the undergrowth was so thick that branches grabbed at them, snagging their clothes and hair. The stunted trees were so twisted and decrepit, Ada marvelled that any of them were still standing, let alone bearing leaves. Their small stature and dense foliage meant that the coniferous canopy was very low and gave the unpleasant impression that the dark forest was bearing down on them.
Ben had a small, portable holo map onto which he'd loaded Chewbacca's coordinates for their destination - the mysterious Imperial archive. Even still, Ada couldn't help but wonder what would happen if they got themselves lost in this alien landscape with so many Imperials apparently lurking around.
As if she'd manifested it with her thoughts, it was about that very moment they spotted their first Imperial patrol. An AT-ST machine and six Stormtroopers. They'd heard the patrol before they saw it. The mechanical howl of the AT-ST lifting it's massive limbs and the thunderous, earth shaking thud that followed as the war machine's huge metal feet made contact with the ground again.
Ada had always hated the idea of them, but she'd never seen one in real life. Her grandfather had fought them in battle, along with their colossal, four-limbed cousins, the AT-ATs, with devastating consequences. Ground troops had little chance against such weaponry. They relied upon air strikes by X-Wing fighters to take out the hulking mechanical threat and sometimes, these simply never came.
Grandpa had always spoken of the Imperial war machines as if they themselves were alive, rather than driven and controlled by the soldiers inside the hood. Now, she understood why. As she lay flat on her stomach beside Ben in the damp undergrowth, she was overcome by an uncanny feeling of dread watching the bipedal hulk of metal lumber by.
As if he sensed her unease, Ben silently reached out and lay a hand on her far shoulder, his arm coming to rest comfortingly across her back. Under his touch, she exhaled a breath she didn't know she'd been holding.
Since their meeting with Chewbacca on Theod, Ada had refrained from asking about any of it – about Chewbacca, about Ben's father's ship. But whatever had passed between Ben and the Wookie, it had lifted an unsurmountable weight from his shoulders. There was a shift in him, subtle but definite. He was freer with his words, more animated with his gestures, quicker to flash that beguiling smirk of his at her.
Three hours into their journey to Jaturra, Ada had settled, cross-legged as always, in the Swift's copilot chair, having found a broken caf machine part to tinker with. She was distracted from her work by a soft snoring and had looked over at Ben, flabbergasted to see that he had actually fallen asleep in the pilot's seat. His arms were crossed across his chest, head tilted back against the headrest with his mouth slightly agape. It was the first time she'd really seen him look completely relaxed, a strange thing, considering they were flying towards unknown, untold dangers.
A soft tap on her shoulder, brought her back to the present. Ben rose to his feet, proffering her his hand. She sat up and took it and he launched her upwards with far greater a flourish than was necessary, making her stomach flip with the rush of motion. She shoved him playfully in the shoulder, but the only parts of him that moved were the corners of his mouth as they lifted upwards into an amused smile.
They continued onwards, forging their wary way together through the thick vegetation of Jaturra's deep forest.
***********************************************************************
Ben watched Ada as she navigated her way through the knotted tangle of branches ahead of them. Her lightness of foot over the difficult terrain made him feel slow and ungainly. She was nimble and quick, able to clamber over trees and rocks with astonishing speed, squeezing through small spaces where Ben's bigger size and height posed a significant disadvantage. He sensed her exhilaration as each new physical challenge fed her adventurous spirit. She was relishing the journey, despite the dangers.
In truth, he was enjoying it too. Still, the three Imperial patrols they had encountered had unsettled him. Two of them had AT-STs accompanying them. They were older models, but no less deadly. And the Stormtroopers themselves were a motley crew. They wore a variety of uniforms both Imperial and First Order, some in such disrepair it gave the impression that the solider within must have risen from the dead, destined to repeat old patterns like a trapped spirit.
An army of ghosts.
At least he would be able to make good on his word to pass intel on to Dameron. There was enough here to fill a report that would keep the Republic's Senate occupied for months.
He wondered if Chewbacca and Del, far away on Theod knew the true extent of the Imperial activity here. He expected they had their suspicious, but he wasn't sure anyone could have predicted such a revival after the seemingly all-encompassing defeat suffered by the First Order at the hands of the Resistance.
As he followed Ada's lead, clambering through yet another knot of gnarled trees, Ben thought again of Chewbacca. The seeming impossibility of Wookie's forgiveness had been a stalwart pillar of Ben's life for so long, he hardly knew where he stood without it. He felt both more liberated and more lost than ever, suddenly standing at a precipice of a new page of his life. Yet, even if Chewbacca could, Ben wasn't sure he could forgive himself for his own transgressions. He wasn't sure he ever should.
And forging into Imperial territory, hunting Inquisitors? These were not activities without risks unique to Ben. Deep within him dwelt the fear that, if pressed, he would be too weak to resist the seduction back to the Dark Side. Sometimes, in his darkest moments, he longed to feel again the elemental power of the Dark Side of the Force, rushing through his veins like life blood and bending to his every whim, as it once had when he was Kylo Ren. The thought now was abhorrent to him, but then again, he had felt that way about the Dark Side as a child...and look what had become of him.
Ben's connection to the Light was growing each day, but he felt that it was untested and untried and, like his new lightsaber, unchristened by combat. As he and Ada made their way deeper into Jaturra, he felt unready, like a green Padawan Learner on the eve of his first battle.
Yet with Chewbacca's pardon, the reluctant acceptance of Dameron and Finn, and with Ada by his side, he realised that the events of the past weeks had also given rise to something new growing within him. An ember smouldering deep within his soul. He felt hope.
***************
When night fell on Jaturra, it didn't creep in quietly or slowly as Ben had witnessed on some worlds. Instead it came crashing in around them as if someone had a dropped shroud of darkness over the planet.
Choosing a spot to camp for the night wasn't tricky The old trees and lush undergrowth gave significant coverage from prying eyes and they'd managed to find a spot where a rocky overhang provided some extra shelter and somewhere they could put their backs to. Still, there was no way they could light a fire in case the Imps spotted it. Luckily the planet seemed to be in its summer season and it was a warm night.
Just as Ben and Ada were sitting down to feast on a protein bar each, there came from somewhere in the blackness the most unholy noise. It sounded like the screech of some indescribable demon beset by fury or anguish or both.
The two leapt to their feet. Ada had her blaster in one hand, expertly trained on the encroaching darkness, and a good grip on Ben's bicep with the other. He was starting to think he might actually have to ask her to ease up a bit as her nails were starting to dig painfully in to his skin.
Instead, he reached for his lightsaber, readying the emitter in his hand. He was loathe to light it in such blackness, lest the beam attract any Stormtrooper who might be lurking like moths to a flame.
After what seemed like an age, snuffling round the corner and into a patch of moonlight before them came small, fluffy creature about the size of a Loth cat. In anyone's vernacular, it could only ever be described as cute. It waddled low to the ground with short little legs and a long furry tail. It had big, luminous eyes that shone, reflective in the darkness and large rounded ears topped off with tufts of black fur. It gave them only a passing glance, huffed, then continued on its way prowling for prey which Ben suspected could be no more than unsuspecting insects. Certainly not people.
Ada's grasp on his arm loosened immediately as she sighed with relief then started to laugh. She turned towards him and put a hand on his chest as she really started to giggle. It was infectious. Now laughing freely himself, Ben wrapped an arm around Ada's waist, emboldened by her touch. He looked down at her, enchanted by her gleeful expression. When their laughter subsided, they stood like that for a moment, just looking at each other. Then, both appeared to make the same decision at once and they collided into a frenzied kiss, the unspoken tension that had been smouldering between them for weeks igniting into a blaze of passion.
Ben lifted Ada up and she instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist. He felt himself harden instantly against the feel of her body. As he spun her around to push her against the flat rock they had as chosen as the back wall of their makeshift camp, he placed one big hand behind her head, conscious not to be too careless in his enthusiasm.
He buried his face in Ada's neck, breathing in her now familiar, intoxicating wildflower scent. He heard a moan escape from his own lips as she grasped and tugged at his hair just as he'd imagined she might. She kissed a trail of fire up his throat, along the edge of his jaw line and up to nibble on his ear. Then she tore his shirt from him amid a flurry of kisses, before removing her own just as quickly.
Gently, Ben grasped her by the nape of her neck, thumb coming to rest against her cheek, stopping the welcome onslaught of her passion just for a second. He just wanted to look at her for a moment. He drunk in the curves and planes of her ethereal body as her skin shone luminous in the moonlight. Ada smiled at him then, her beautiful face so open, green eyes alight with a heady mix of joy and arousal.
As Ben lifted her away from the rock, he trailed his fingers lightly up the length of her spine from the small of her back to the nape of her neck, relishing how she gasped and arched at his touch. He lay her down on the grass, her loose red curls spreading out around her like a halo of fire.
He kissed his way down her body, over her breasts and down her stomach, hurriedly removing her boots and then her travelling leggings. Languidly, he traced his mouth all the way back up her calf to her inner thigh where he grazed her lightly with his teeth. He smiled against her skin as she moaned his name, desperate for him to move to that most sensitive, sacred place between her legs.
Ben did as he was asked, slowly exploring her with his mouth. She gripped handfuls of his hair in a way that was pleasurably on the edge of being painful. He gloried in the way she writhed beneath him and took his time, watching with gratification as the expression of abandon increased on her face. Finally, he worked to release her, senselessness and keening, over the edge and into the abyss.
**********************************************************************
Reeling and breathless from the oblivion Ben had brought her to, Ada somehow made it up on to her knees where she crashed into him again with open mouthed, wanton kisses. She reached for his belt, helping him free of his pants and he grunted in relief. She reached for him and he threw his head back with a guttural sigh, exposing his long neck to her mouth and tongue, as her hands worked over his hard length.
Ada lay back down, drawing Ben on top of her. He used his knees to push her legs apart with exhilarating roughness, making room for himself to move between them. Ada revelled in the comforting warmth and pressure of his body weight on top of her. She closed her eyes and arched towards him in anticipation, wanting him, needing him within her.
But he stopped then, suddenly, and Ada looked up into his face above hers. His eyes were deep golden pools clouded with arousal and they searched her own desperately, asking – pleading - for her permission. There was a deep furrow between his brows and his mouth was hanging slightly open as he panted out short, ragged breaths.
The juxtaposition of his overwhelming physical power and this unexpected show of submission and vulnerability made Ada's desire explode anew within her.
She made him wait just a moment longer than was probably fair, delighting in the beautiful sight of him delirious with primal need, but resisting it all the same. His body glistened with sweat in the starlight, broad chest and shoulders heaving with each shuddering breath he took.
Finally, she grasped the back of his neck, weaving her fingers tightly through his raven hair, and brought his forehead to rest against her own.
“Ben,” she whispered softly, and it was all he needed to take control again.
They both gasped as Ben entered her. His movements were slow and strong, his mouth on Ada's, then at her neck, her collar bone, her breasts, his beard tickling and scratching at her skin. She found that her fingers wanted to be all over him, everywhere all at once, in his mouth, tangled in his wild black hair, raking up and down his back. She coiled her legs around him, drawing him as close to her as possible until they were completely and utterly entwined.
As Ben moved within her, it felt as though they were the only two beings in the whole Galaxy. Ada's her whole body was singing with transcendental ecstasy. Her senses were flooded. The enthralling scent of Ben's arousal mixed with the comforting smell of earth and grass. The exquisite feeling of him inside her and the soft ground shifting ever so slightly underneath her as they moved together. The delicious sight of his face so lost in his needful rapture and, over his shoulder and past the canopy, the endless star filled sky of Jaturra above them.
Ben's groans of pleasure rose in chorus with her own as his desire completely overwhelmed him. He drove into her again and again, faster and harder and every nerve of Ada's body felt aflame. She watched, captivated, as the huge muscles in his neck tensed as if they might snap before, finally, he let out an animalistic growl and reached a long, shuddering release.
After a moment, Ada reached up to move strands of dark hair away from his amber eyes which were drowsy with satisfaction. Her quivering hand came to rest against his warm, flushed cheek and he pressed her palm to his face with his own, then turned his head to plant a series of lazy kisses on it.
Reluctantly, Ben withdrew, gently lifting himself to lie down beside her. Ada placed her head on his chest, as he wrapped her up in his strong arms. She listened as his rapid heartbeat started to slow and steady within him. It reminded her of that very first night in his quarters on the Swift after his vision of the Inquisitor. They lay together in contented silence, looking up into Jaturra's leafy framed sky.
********************************************************************
The sound of strange, alien birds singing brought Ada slowly into drowsy consciousness. The sun was on the rise, still low in the sky. Suddenly the surroundings of Jaturra seemed much more beautiful than before.
A bank of mist had rolled in over night. While it had appeared eerie and unwelcoming the day before on the moorland, but here in the forest with the morning sun trying to push its way through, it was strangely beautiful. It wrapped itself with smoky tendrils around the ancient trees, and gave the canopy above a bright, golden.
Ada was covered by a variety of clothes. Some belonged to her, some to Ben, whose absence next to her she suddenly felt keenly after spending the night in his arms. She sat up to look for him, but he wasn't far away.
Shirtless and cross-legged in the grass with his back to her, Ben was meditating. His shoulders rose and fell as he took deep, slow breaths and she could see his large hands resting, palms upwards, on his knees.
Pulling on her clothes, Ada went to sit down next to him as quietly as she could. It felt like a strangely intimate and personal act to watch and she felt loathe to disturb him. For some time, she wasn't sure that he was even aware of her presence until he lazily opened one eye to look at her and grinned.
It was her favourite smile of his, the one which sat crookedly on his face, dimples carving deep ridges at the corners of his mouth and eyes, his nose drawing upwards, giving the impression it was sharpening at the tip. She reached across and cupped his face, planting a kiss on his lips and then on the tip of his prominent nose.
“We should get moving,” Ben said after a few minutes of comfortable silence. Reluctance hung heavy in his voice. Neither of them wanted to break the spell they had cast the previous night.
Ada nodded. She stood up and stretched. She stopped suddenly, mid yawn, and narrowed her eyes, squinting through the trees ahead. In the morning light she could now see it. The outline of a huge building, looming like some grey megalith in the distance. The Imperial archive facility.
********************************************************************* It took Ada and Ben less than an hour to reach the fringes of the archive compound. They found a vantage point, high above on a ridge. They squatted low amongst the bushes and assessed the situation below.
It looked exactly how Ada imagined a typical Imperial complex of this size to look. Huge and practically windowless, as if it was constructed out of a single, grey slab. There was a massive landing platform at the front of the building, a variety of ships sitting motionless and dormant. There were Stormtroopers positioned high on metal gangways and in tall lookout towers. Officers bearing Imperial and First Order insignia were passing back and forward across the landing platform, crossing the complex with typical Imperial arrogance. Ben used the portable holo reader to check the very basic external schematic of the building included with Chewbacca's intel. It confirmed that they were right about what they were now looking at. An unguarded service door.
Their progress down the steep ridge was painfully slow and fraught. They'd chosen a point that didn't seem to attract much attention from the Stormtrooper patrols. Even still, each time one of them slipped on the gravelly scree and sent a noisy cascade of stones tumbling down down towards the compound Ada's heart had stopped.
Finally, they scrambled down. The door really was unguarded. Ada couldn't believe it. She kept a lookout while Ben tore off the control panel and started tinkering with the wires inside. Within moments, something sparked and the door slid open.
For a place so heavily guarded on the outside, it was surprisingly quiet within the sterile feeling corridors. Only twice had they needed to double back around a corner to avoid Stormtroopers doing their cursory security rounds.
Ben appeared to know his way around the structure intrinsically, stopping only occasionally to orient himself. There was something unnerving about that which Ada couldn't quite put her finger on. Finally, after navigating the maze of corridors with surprising ease, they reached the access point to the archive.
Ben didn't hesitate. He stepped out around the corner and walked up to the front desk with astonishing confidence. He was holding himself tall and ridged with more than just a sliver of arrogance in his long stride. It was as if he belonged there.
A rotund little man with a grey moustache narrowed his eyes and half stood up, taking in Ben's civilian clothing and his rather dishevelled and dirty appearance.
“Who...”
Ben waved his hand almost casually in front of the man's face before he could get any further with his line of questioning. “You will give me all information you hold on Endo Seris and the Inquisitorius,” he said in a flat, commanding voice.
It was his usual tone, low and level, but there was a note of danger to it, a sharp edge that Ada had never heard before.
“Yes, of course,” the archivist replied indignantly as he dropped back down into his seat with a thud.
He seemed affronted at the very idea that he might be unable to fulfil such a simple request. He took the data stick proffered by Ben and inserted it into his computer with a flourish. Ada watched, fascinated, as the little man diligently started work on retrieving the files he'd been asked for.
It took less than a minute, but it felt like forever. All the while they were standing there Ada's heart was in her mouth. She expected a swathe of Stormtroopers to come round the corner at any time. Finally, the archivist handed the stick back to Ben.
“We were never here,” Ben spoke again with that steady, cold timbre, before turning on his heel and stalking back to Ada who took one last curious peek around the corner at the archivist. He was contentedly busying himself with marking up the holo file in front of him as if nothing had happened.
“How did you...” Ada started, but Ben cut across her, as he took her by the elbow and steered her quickly back down the hall from where they'd come.
“It only works on the weak minded...”
Before Ada could ask anything further, a mouse repair droid darted out from a service hatch and straight into Ben's boot. He and Ada both stared at it in surprise. Then, with a slowness that Ada would have found comical under different circumstances, they raised their heads simultaneously to look across at each other, stunned into paralysis by their bad luck.
With a squeak, and before either of them could move, the droid whizzed off down the corridor away from them. Within five seconds a deafening alarm had started to blare. It was accompanied by a pulsing red light which intermittently illuminated the corridors in a ghoulish, scarlet glow.
Ben moved first. He changed direction, grabbing Ada's hand and swinging her around as they started to run. She noticed that he'd unclipped his lightsaber from his belt although he didn't ignite it.
They passed the archivist again who was wearing an expression of pure bemusement on his face. He let out a perfunctory hey! as Ada and Ben barrelled past his desk.
“Where are we going?!” Ada asked as she bounded along at Ben's shoulder, having to shout above the din of the alarm.
“We need a quick exit, we've got to get up to that landing pad!”

PROLOGUE PART TWO
KYLO REN X COUSIN!OC
Summmery: J. Skywalker was kidnapped by the First Order after the destruction of her father's Jedi temple at age 10. She was perceived to already by powerful by Snoke. She just needed promting to the dark side, which proves to be harder than anticipated. As the girl grows older, it becomes apparent that she's not of light or dark.
Pages - 4.6
Words - 1612
Warnings - Burning Buildings, Death, Crying
____________
Run.
That's all that repeated in the young girl's head. Run. Run. Run. All she could feel were the fires nipping and licking at the walls and growing near herself. All she could hear were the terror filled screams that echoed the temple walls and the sizzling of a lightsaber. All she could smell was burnt flesh and smoke. And all she knew was pain and horror. Her senses were overtaken with horrible things that she was certain would haunt her forever.
All of this only made her more eager to escape the collapsing building. She sprinted like a bolt of lightning to the main entrance, hoping it wouldn't be guarded by the people who had done this. Out. She had to get out.
A scream slipped past her lips as part of the ceiling came crashing down in front of her, narrowly missing her form, the fires burning her thin arm at the proximity. She whimpered as tears filled her vision, but she couldn't let the pain stop her. She spun on her heel and began to dash towards the next nearest exit that she knew of. It was awhile away, but it was her only shot.
She hadn't noticed that the screams had stopped, or that the fires had continued their dance on the temple more harshly than before.
Her legs began to ache, wanting her to stop and take a break, but she couldn't take a break. She couldn't die. Run. Keep running. She reminded herself, dodging a few small pieces of the ceiling and jumping over a large piece of fallen wood.
Her eyes darted around, observing her surroundings as she ran, until she saw something that halted her for a second. One of her best friends lie, eyes wide open in terror, staring at the ceiling. It didn't take her long to realize why he wasn't moving. She cried his name, going to run up to him until another piece of the ceiling landed in her way. She still needed to run.
"I'm sorry." she whispered to herself, sobs racking her body as she turned and continued her race to the exit. She needed out of this dreaded, destroyed place.
Along with the intense feeling of wanting out, she felt the need to scream for her father. She hadn't been able to find him. Where had he gone? Did he leave her? Did he die like her friend had?
Questions circled her mind, but ended quickly upon the site of the corner that would lead immediately to the exit.
She sharply turned the corner, only to be greeted with the exact opposite of the freedom she hoped for, having to skid to a stop to avoid running into them.
In front of her stood 6 tall figures clad in dark fabric. One, whom stood at the front, was holding a blazing lightsaber, which she had almost ran into. Something about him seemed familiar, but she was too panicked to care. This was dangerous, these were the men that caused this. She was sure of it.
Soon enough she realized she had frozen too long, the heat and smoke was starting to overpower the adrenaline. She snapped back to reality when the one in front took a threatening step forward. She darted as fast as she could to the side, turning down a not yet destroyed hallway. She turned her head to glance behind her, only to trip and tumble to the ground.
Coughs racked her body and tears slipped down her face at the impact. She couldn't get back up. It was too much. The smoke. The heat. The pain. She was only 10. Her right arm sent shocks of pain everywhere, legs and lungs aching. Then she remembered her father. What if he was still alive? She couldn't give up on him.
She moved her arm to push herself up, only to feel a force push down on her, slamming her back to the ground. Loud, elaborate footsteps closed in on her. The men in black had found her.
Voices spoke through modifiers, but the girl could only catch a few of the words spoken as black dots slowly clouded her vision.
"Is this the girl?"
"Yes." This man seemed to hesitate only slightly, "It's her."
"Grab her, make sure she sees a medic. Supreme Leader will want her well."
The pressure lifted all at once and she released a breath she hadn't known was being held. Her vision came in and out of focus, the black spots growing and appearing with the beat of her heart. Catching a glimpse of black fabric once again before the ground moved away from her at an alarming rate.
No. She was being lifted by leather hands. Her bright, pale blue eyes blinked slowly at the man who held her, only seeing a black and silver mask. It took her a second before the full panic settled in and she weakly tried to push and wiggle away and out of the man's grip.
It was a useless effort, the man not showing any signs that he noticed the girl in his arms. She looked around, her vision blurred and spotted. She was being carried out, out of the collapsing building that was once practically a home. No sign of her father anywhere. Where was he? At this, she pushed harder, hitting the man's chest and helmet (which only bruised her frail hand), and flailing her feet, "Let me go!" she needed to find him.
The man snarled under the mask, muttering something she didn't hear. Then, the helmet turned to her, his steps still proceeding forward. The eyes behind the mask were likely glaring daggers at the young girl, she guessed from the intensity of the supposed stare. He held her tighter, almost threateningly, "Stop struggling, it's pointless." That voice, even with the modifier it sounded familiar to the young girl. She stilled, blue eyes wide with fear and a hint of curiosity. "W-who are you? You sound familiar...." she muttered, her voice clearly laced with exhaustion and her previous terror.
They were nearing a ship. The man turned back to look forward, not saying another word to the girl as more tears streamed down her small, red cheeks. His grip loosened, but the girl didn't fight this time. Instead, she allowed her head to thump against his chest in exhaustion. She didn't have the energy to fight anymore, she just wanted sleep. Despite that, she willed her eyes open, resisting the urge to fall into the blissful feeling of sleep.
The rest of the walk was silent, her soft gaze resting on her knees, not knowing what to do but think. She could use the force, sure, but this man seemed to be far more experienced then her. Actually, most people in the temple were. A few were in their early twenties, a few in their late teens. A couple were only a few years or so older than herself. She was only 10. She wasn't fully trained yet, even with her father being a Jedi. She barely knew how to hold up a table without dropping it a second later.
The man's boots clunked against the ramp to the ship, alerting the girl away from her thoughts. She lifted her head, looking behind the man. Crying all over again at the sight of the temple almost fully destroyed and engulfed in flames. She didn't know where her father was, or if he was alive.
A part of her knew he was alive, a part she knew her father would call the force. The thing that he had been teaching people in that very temple. A place she had practically been her whole life.
The scene was soon gone, the ramp of the ship closing up and sealing the little girl's fate. She was stuck. She looked up at the man, her blinks slow and tired. He looked back at her, his expression hidden by the mask. It wasn't an intense gaze this time, it was something different, it calmed her even though she couldn't see his face.
Slowly and carefully, the girl was sat down onto a long metal bench that was connected to the ship's interior wall. Though sleep sounded amazing, the girl forced her eyes open.
The man kneeled down to her height, tilting his head at her slightly, as if waiting for her to either speak or pass out. She chose the former. "You never answered my question." her voice squeaked.
The man's mask tilted down to the ground, the modifier concealing a sigh. After what seemed like a few silent seconds, his head raised and the girl's defeated eyes locked with where the eyes were supposed to be on the mask. With his intentions clear, he came just a bit closer to her, reaching his hand out.
Her breathing quickened more, but didn't move away, just staring and waiting.
With his hand floating next to the girl's head at the ready, he finally spoke,
"Go to sleep, J."
Within barely a second, it was obvious why he had his hand outstretched to her. Her eyelids closed and her body slumped to the side, the man quickly catching her and laying her down more gently on the metal. The girl was unconscious.
Though in the split second before sleep was forced upon her, a thought had flashed through her mind.
Ben.

I Loved You Once Ch 3
Pairing: Kylo Ren/Ben Solo X OC
Chapter Summary: The First Order Arrives
MINORS (UNDER 18) DO NOT INTERACT
Warnings: Arranged marriage, mentions of death of a parent, politics, mentions of death.
Going back to my quarters that night was depressing. All of my life I had lived in the same set of rooms as my parents, sometimes aunts, uncles and cousins occupying the other suites in the mansion for months at a time. A loved one was never far, always ready to gather me in their arms and give me affection.
Tonight, walking back into my rooms was so emotionally rattling I regretted all the wine I drank earlier. The kitchenette was surprisingly bare now. Little decorations, the rack holding caf mugs, the bowl of fake fruit made of crystal and glass, even the display with the decorative plates from my mother’s side of the family were gone. Moved across the hall to her new rooms, I’d imagine. The same has been done to the living room. Like decorations here and there, including my favorite blanket that was always draped over the couch, are gone.
Deciding that if I was going to hurt tonight, I might as well rip the entire band aid off, I wanted down the small hallway to the room my parents had shared. When Father died, a lot of his possessions had been either given to charity, or to relatives. His rings, grander fur cloaks, one or two pairs of his shoes had all gone to close family.
Some things, however, Mother had kept for herself in here. A few of his night shirts, some books he enjoyed thumbing through on occasion, and his old pipe. Mother swore she hates smoking and would promptly leave the room if he ever lit his pipe, but for years she had kept it right on his bedside table, propped up next to his tin of tabac.
All of it was gone.
The room was so bare the grand king sized bed didn’t even have sheets on it anymore.
I took in a deep breath, feeling my chest shudder under the effort of it all.
When Father had died, all I had wanted to do was hide under my bed like a child and cry for days. Of course, that wasn’t something I had the luxury of doing. Every morning I had to be up early as usual, dressed head to toe in mourning clothes for months. Every day held the same pattern of going to various memorial services for my father, his funeral that took three days to complete, and going to every single school, university, hospital, and shopping mall that wanted to put up a statue of my father, or dedicate a kriffing sitting bench to him. All with a practiced look of sorrow on my face, and words of gratitude on my tongue.
Though I couldn’t say he didn’t deserve all the honors people wanted to grant him in death as he had been a nearly flawless king, this manufactured grieving process had left me nearly catatonic when not in public. All I did was sit in my room and stare at the wall, not able to decide if I was sad or numb, hungry or sated, tired or just about dead. Through it all, my mother was my only constant source of affection.
In the mornings she would coax me to eat, bite by bite if need be. She waved off the palace chef and cooked me my favorite meals from childhood for breakfast lunch and dinner. Roasted kajaka root and chando peppers, fritzle fries, mashed chokeroot, rootleaf stew, and even five blossom bread. She played music in the suite that I had loved as a teenager, and she hated every note of it, but played it anyway. Every night she made me hot chocolate and tucked me into bed like I was a child again.
She had just lost her husband, the love of her life, but every moment of her day was centered around me.
I took off my clothes, crawling into bed. I fished around in my nightstand, taking out my old holo com and an old necklace. It was a kyber crystal, a dark teal in color and very rough looking, wrapped up securely with a piece of dark scrap wire, clumsily wrapped around an old leather cord, tied to itself in two different places because of the leather being so old and worn it had to be reattached to itself.
Ben had come back from one of his explorative missions with Master Skywalker, proudly holding the rare color of crystal. He had explained that he had to take it secretly, as Master Skywalker likely wouldn’t have approved of Ben giving something so sacred to the Jedi away to someone who wasn’t one, even if I was force sensitive. Ben had just turned seventeen at the time and had been away from me for so long, over ten months. He had gotten so much taller, and his voice so much deeper.
When he had wrapped the handmade necklace around my throat and gently moved my hair out of the way, the tips of his fingers had touched my skin. I could remember being shocked at how much his hands had changed. So strong looking, so rough and calloused, tiny little scars here or there from the heat of a saber, or snagged during a fall. They were the hands of a man. His jawline had filled out, sharpening into something rugged even when clean shaven. It was my first time realizing that my Ben, my perfect boy, was no longer the lanky string bean of a boy I had fallen in love with. He was a grown man now, hardened a bit more, disciplined a bit more. He was a man.
Then he cracked that lopsided grin of his, and I was relieved to know that my perfect, beautiful man was still a giant dork beneath all that maturity.
I turned the com link on, setting the messaged to auto play, and hid under my blankets, cradling the beautiful teal kyber crystal in my hands as I imagined that none of the current threats to my planet and family existed.
There was no First Order. Ben had led the other Jedi in a powerful revolt years ago, and had snuffed them out completely. There was no attack on the Jedi Temple. Ben had become a Jedi, and taken a padawan of his own. There was no unfixable rift between me and my mother. Ben had married me years ago and spent most of his time on Amatia. He had his own temple here, and some noble families from the core had sent their children to him to learn.
Both of us had long days, but we always ended them in bed with each other, letting each other's love and affection wash away the stress of the day. Problems came, but they were always fixed. Arguments occurred, but never lasted long. Ben and I were planning on starting a family of our own, and teasing each other by coming up with stupid, ridiculous names for the hypothetical children.
--------------------------
The night brought me nothing but anxiety, even with Ben’s voice trying to lull me to sleep I did nothing but toss and turn. Every half second of hard fought for sleep was filled with images of Amatia being blown to bits.
Waking up was inevitable but dragging myself out of bed was harder than it had ever been. Sometimes, on days with little to do I had treated myself to a long shower or a bath, but today I found myself standing under the shower, cold stinging water running down my back for a solid twenty minutes before I even had the emotional strength to turn the knob to make it hot. Cleaning myself was more of a chore than it had ever been. Everything from dragging the soapy cloth across my body to scrubbing at my plague with my toothbrush felt so much harder. Like my arms were weighed down with chains.
It wasn’t until after I was dressed in another black and teal gown than the update came over my data-pad. The First Order was in our Atmosphere. I skipped breakfast, didn’t even bother with caf, and sat on my throne. Court was far more empty than usual. Lord Emert was there, and Lord Narrel, a few other older lords and dukes, but most of the younger were gone. My father would have called any courtier under the age of forty ‘new blood’. The thinnest, easiest to wash away, the ones not yet bound to their lineage with their whole being.
Lord Emert seemed to defy my father’s belief that age was the distinguishing factor between ‘new blood’ and ‘true blood’ as he would have put it.
It was only a few brief minutes before a servant came in holding a holo-com. “Your Grace, A ‘General Hux’ wishes to speak to you.”
I motioned to the holo-terminal on the floor of the throne room. “Put him through.”
The face that quickly stared back at me was surprisingly young for a General. Yet there was no mistaking him for anything other than a military man of high authority. Everything from his sharply pressed uniform, his clean shaven face, rigid posture, meticulously groomed hair and sideburns screamed what he was with no question.
“Queen Jaycari Casshel, I find it pleasing to finally put a face to the name.” He said, his tone seemed relatively friendly but there was no mistaking that it would go sharp at the slightest hint of opposition. Patience was a foreign concept to military officers, yet a limitless resource to the enlisted ranks.
“I can’t say I haven’t been expecting your call, General. What with your ships looming above unannounced.” I said, also keeping my tone friendly but letting him know in no uncertain terms that his military’s presence was an insult.
“Ah, yes. Forgive the intrusion. I had wanted to send word several days ago that we would be paying your lovely planet a visit, however, doing so would be a breach of privacy for our newly allied worlds. I’m sure you understand.” He said.
“I understand completely, General. No, to what do I owe this charming conversation?” I asked, trying very hard to keep sarcasm out of my tone and not doing a perfect job of it.
“Myself and the Supreme Leader will be making port within the hour to discuss your planets… options, Your Highness.” The General said ominously. “I expect we will be at your court rather soon after landing.”
“Transportation will be provided.” I said.
“We will not require any transportation.” The General waved off.
“You won’t? The closest port for a large spacecraft is several miles away. If you insist on making your men walk, I suppose that’s your own-”
“We will be landing outside of the castle in your capital. That is where your court is located, is it not?” The General probed.
“Well, yes-”
“Very well. I look forward to our meeting, Your Highness.” The transmission cut, leaving you confused.
“How are they going to land their military craft right outside the door?” One of the ladies pondered.
“They won’t, unless they plan on crashing it.” Duke Narrel said. “They must be using a smaller craft. He did only specify that he and the Ren devil were coming.”
“It can’t just be them.” Lord Emert protested. “They’d send a fleet, an invading force, surely! Or only send in a few low ranking officers to negotiate, then either level us with cannon fire, or send in the occupation troops to keep us in line and burn away all the history they don’t want our children taught. This has to be a lie-”
I waved my hand over the control to the holo-terminal, pulling up the scanners for our atmosphere. After a brief moment, it showed a very small, hardly perceivable craft making their way to the planet’s surface.
The wait seemed endless, every breath dying to be faster and harder than the last. Oh what bliss going into a full blown panic would be. Screaming and crying, maybe even vomiting. One quick glance around the room led me to lock eyes with Duke Narrled. He stood fast, seemingly unbothered by whatever his fate would be. The Duke and my father could not have been any more different in political belief, personality, or appearance, but in the moment I could have sworn my father was standing there, not him.
The only thing they had ever had in common was their unquestioning loyalty to their planet and duty. It would make sense then, that I could see my father reflected in him now. I raised my chin a little higher as I heard the sound of an approaching spacecraft beginning it’s landing process. My father wouldn’t show fear. I would not either.
The servant from before entered the throne room again, looking slightly shaken. “General Armitage Hux, and the Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren, Your Majesty.”
The two announced men entered, the Supreme Leader one pace in front of the General. I had seen snippets of the Supreme Leader on the Holo-net. Nothing prepared me for him in person. The entire room went cold. It felt like all hope, all happiness had been sucked out of me and my surroundings. The closer the Supreme Leader got to my throne, the worse the feeling got.
I could somewhat recall Ben, around the age of thirteen, telling me that he had a run in with a group of people called the Knights of Ren. Before he knew they were there, it had felt unusually cold in the area. If there had ever been any doubt in your mind about what the Supreme Leader was, it existed no more. Only the two of them were here. There was no escort of storm troopers, not even another lowly lieutenant on their heels.
As they reached the edge of the dias, I stood from my throne to greet them. A monarch never rose from their throne unless addressing an equal or a superior, so I hoped this was respect enough for them. Enough that they wouldn’t immediately slaughter my entire court, anyways.
“Supreme Leader, General.” I said, “You spoke to me of options, General?”
“That he did.” The Supreme Leader’s voice was crackled and distorted from beneath the mask. “You have two, in fact. Death, or the honoring of this.”
He held out his hand, a small holo-com in his hand lighting up and displaying a document, written in familiar handwriting and sealed with my family's crest. A closer look showed it to be the written agreement between my mother and General Organa, agreeing that I would one day wed Ben Solo. I was stunned for a moment, mind reeling over the implications. The only thing I could imagine was this was his way of gloating. My mother had always suspected that Master Skywalker’s temple had been destroyed by Sith, and that’s surely what this man was. I was likely staring at the masked face of the man who had killed my betrothed, and ripped that holo-com from his corpse.
Looking back up at the Supreme Leader with the calmest face I could imagine. “I’m afraid I cannot honor a contract with a dead man, Supreme Leader. I must say, subjugating four useless planets and risking an in person visit to Amatia just to gloat is not becoming of you.”
He put the Holo-Com away. “I’m not here to gloat.” His hands traveled up to his helmet, followed by a click and a hiss as he removed his helmet. “I’m here to claim my throne.”
It was all I could do to keep standing as I stared into the eyes of Ben Solo.

A Blaze of Glory
Kylo X Kyna (OC) (Star Wars Sequel Trilogy: Western AU)
The famed stagecoach robber Kylo has to go on the run. Little does he know, that he, as well as his lover Kyna, are in for the fight of their lives.
Warnings: guns, implied violence, wild west
Kyna paced the floor of the tiny one-room sod house in Indian Territory, nervousness in every step. Her lover, the outlaw Kylo, had left to meet up with their liaison for supplies and Kyna swore he had been gone for hours. She was beginning to worry he had been set up. Or worse, caught in the impending dust storm that was on the horizon
Just as she was considering going out to look for him, the familiar sound of his horse galloping up to the house broke the silence. Kyna hurried outside to greet him, glad he was alive and safe.
“My love,” she greeted him, hugging his wide frame.
Kylo returned the hug. As much as he was known for his fierce, no-nonsense, ruthless personality, he always softened when it came to Kyna, his long-time lover and partner of many years. It was obvious to many that they shared a special bond like no other; nothing would ever break them apart.
The couple hurriedly unloaded the supplies and carried them inside. They had been in hiding for the better part of a few months following the last stagecoach robbery out in Saint Louis and luckily, the US Marshals had yet to find them. Of course, that didn’t mean they wouldn’t. Kylo was one the country’s most notorious outlaws, a man feared by many, and if caught, his head would be worth a pretty penny. Thankfully, they also had allies in other gangs, mainly the Knights of Ren. Ren, the leader was more than willing to help Kylo and Kyna evade capture in exchange for help later on. And both of them were willing to provide that help when the time came. For now, the plan was to lay low and not attract any attention.
“This should last us a while,” Kylo remarked as he placed his Colt and hat on one of the chairs in the kitchen area. “Ren said he can get us some more supplies, he just needs my help with a job on the Chisholm Trail next month.”
Kyna gave him a worried look. “Are you sure it’s safe?”
Kylo nodded. “It’s a fairly easy job. It’s cattle rustling. They're moving a herd to Kansas and if Ren can get some, there’s big money involved. Real big money.” He slipped his arm around Kyna’s slim waist. “Enough to set us up for a while.”
That made her smile. While she had taken to her life as an outlaw with ease, there were moments even she tired of their life. To have some time off, to get away from Indian Territory and maybe head West to California, seemed like a dream to her.
Kyna leaned up and kissed him deeply on the lips. He pulled her closer. As he started to reach into her top, the unmistakable sound of hooves nearing their hideout broke the air. Kylo quickly grabbed his gun and looked out the window from behind the curtains. He saw three riders galloping up to the sod house. Kylo cursed under his breath; they had been followed.
One of the riders, a young woman with brown hair dismounted and walked up to the house. “Kylo!” she called out. “We know you’re in there. Come out with your hands up!”
Kylo scowled, his finger cocking his gun. He knew that the woman, Rey Skywalker, his cousin, wasn’t going to go away easily. She, as well as Kylo, inherited their grandfather’s stubbornness as well as his determination. Neither one was going to back down.
Suddenly, the sound of gunfire rang out. Both Kylo and Kyna ducked to avoid being hit by a bullet. The lovers exchanged looks. They knew this could well be the end. Yet, they weren’t ready to go, at least not without a fight.
“I love you, Moondust,” Kylo said, reaching out to hold Kyna’s hand.
“I love you more, Starfighter,” she replied, squeezing his hand in return.
The couple climbed to their feet and stood on either side of the door. They took one last look at each other before bursting out the door. They were prepared to go in a blaze of gunfire and glory.

I Am Grey - Chapter One
prologue part two
prologue part one
A/N: She's a teenager now! Whoop Whoop! Any-who, I hope you enjoy this chapter! Chapter two is w a y better than this one, but please read this one and I’ll get chapter two uploaded asap.
I don't know if this was as good as the previous chapters, but I hope you like it! It's more fast-paced than previous chapters.
Characters: Snoke, J Skywalker/Jay Ren, Mae Everly
Warnings: Cursing (This was always gonna happen.)
"Get up."
"Nooooo."
"J, I'm serious. Get the fuck up."
"I'm tired."
Mae Everly (Her number was actually ME-1487, the fake name was chosen by J.) groaned in frustration, completely done with J's shit. "I am your escort today, so please, just get up. I don't want to deal with the punishment of you being late!" She growled out, adjusting her Stormtrooper helmet on her hip.
Her dark brown hair cascaded down the white armor in waves, framing her dark and serious face, chocolate brown eyes glaring down at the teenager. Mae had only been in training as a storm-trooper when she met the girl. A depressed looking 10 year old looking up into her mask with bright blue eyes.
Now that little girl was 15 and had an attitude problem.
J felt immediately bad at those words, "Fine, fine. I'm up." she pushed her face out of her comfy black pillow, turning it to her trooper friend. "I'm gonna change, so...you know...leave if you like...." she shrugged, messy blonde hair tangled and in her face.
Mae rolled her eyes, turning and walking away. J stuck her tongue out behind her back, before a bright smile formed. She enjoyed her talks with the Stormtrooper, she was interesting.
She shuffled over to her closet, lazily picking out a bright orange sweater and black pants. She slipped out of her cozy black pajamas and into the ones she picked out.
Attaching a pouch to her leg (that held her lightsaber), she practically skipped over to the door, shoving black boots onto her feet.
"Okay Everly, let's go!" J called, stepping out of the blaster door to see Mae shove her hair in the helmet. "You know, you never told me how you get those sweaters." Mae's voice was now slightly modified.
"If I told you, you might tell them, and then they would take them and would make sure I never got colors again." she crossed her arms, "I'm not going to tell you, or anyone. It's the one thing keeping me sane."
Mae nodded, "I guess I can understand that."
J had been sneaking colorful clothes on board after every mission. They gave up on trying to get rid of them, 'cause J just kept finding a way. 'They' were literally every higher up in charge of her, Snoke's orders. She wasn't supposed to have colors that weren't grey, black, or on rare occasions, red.
Of course she didn't get the colors all by herself, she had help.
Now she had orange, pink, purple, and several others. It was something that made her proud, but something that Snoke had punished her for (a punishment which she had ignored entirely, continuing to wear her colors).
A light scar that led from her collar bone up to her ear on her left side was proof of the punishment.
"Where are we going?" J asked, pulling her baggy sleeves over her hands. Most things she got were too big for her. She glanced over at her friend, who was leading the way to a familiar place.
"To Snoke, he said he had something to tell you...or whatever." Mae shrugged, having not been told everything.
"Oh goodie..." the 15 year old murmured, rolling her eyes. Her training wasn't until later, so why did he want to speak right now? What could the evil, wrinkled alien want now?
He made her life difficult every afternoon of everyday, why did he want to annoy her in the morning?
"Good luck." Mae let out a chuckle, nudging J to go into the room once they got there. J shot a glare at her before nervously stepping into the large room, doors closing behind her.
A large hologram flickered to life and his familiar face stared down at her. J stared directly back up, refusing to kneel down in respect.
"Ren."
J winced, hating the name. Snoke made it clear that she was to change her name like Kylo did, and she argued to hell and back about it. Eventually, he did it for her, and now she was supposed to be 'Jay Ren'.
She understood the last name, but all he did for her new first name was add two letters to the end of her nickname (which was just the first letter of her real name).
It still pissed her off.
"Snoke." she growled out, looking down and pulling on her over-sized orange sleeves.
"I believe we have talked before about your choice of clothing."
They had. Didn't end well.
"And I believe my exact word were 'Try to stop me.'" her eyes shoot up to his, crossing her arms. He seemed to only be amused by this, which was both relieving (no torture) and terrifying (what was funny).
"Your disobedience will soon be corrected. Your cousin will make sure of that." he watched her reaction carefully.
J had completely stopped. Her eyes widened as her glare faded into nothing, her anger and annoyance turning into shock, "W-what are y-you talking about?" she asked, yet she knew the answer.
"I am sending you to the Finalizer, where you will live and train with Kylo Ren. He's almost fully completed his training, and I feel it beneficial to give him an apprentice, so...I'm switching your training from me, to him."
J just stared up at him, her eyes holding a mixture of emotions. Shock, fear, confusion, and if anyone looked hard enough...a little bit of excitement.
"Your transport will be here in two weeks, I suggest you arrive at the Finalizer in your professional attire. Leave." he dismissed you, his image flickering before fully disappearing.
She stood there for a few moments, unable to move. She faintly heard the door behind her open and the sound of storm-trooper boots hitting the ground.
"So...what was the news."
J slowly turned her head to look over her shoulder at Mae, and the second the trooper caught site of J's expression she rushed over to the 15 year old.
She wrapped her arms around J, pulling her into the white armor on her chest. Mae felt like an older sister to this kid and she couldn't bear to see her upset.
J didn't know why, but sadness washed over her. Even though she hated it here, she had build a life. She had friends. And now she was going back to the man who betrayed her trust and who helped send her away by herself. Her cousin.
She wrapped her arms around Mae, a few silent tears streamed down her face. She let out a shaky breath. "He's making me leave."
Mae had escorted J back to her room after promising to ask her superior if her and a few other storm-troopers could be the one's to escort her to the Finalizer.
J was currently packing everything but her plain black cloths for her to wear in the next two weeks. The clothes in the bags would be what was sent to the Finalizer.
She stuffed her colorful sweaters into the bag along with several sets of leggings and boots. She did it without hesitation, until she picked up a specific set of boots in the back of her closet.
Her boots.
The one's her father gave her. The one's Ben had given back to her.
J fell to her knees as she cradled the boots in her hands.
***
Luke was kneeling beside the bed, looking at his small daughter with a playful gleam in his blue eyes.
She giggled and waited excitedly for her present. Today was her birthday, her 6th birthday.
He slowly pulled out a long rectangular box, holding it out to the little girl who looked at it in complete curiosity.
Her hands reached out and pulled the top off, revealing a pair of tan boots that had white fuzz around the edges.
They seemed big, but she loved them all the same. Her eyes lit up in joy, a squeal coming out of her mouth as she threw her arms around her father, "Thank you!"
Luke laughed, hugging his child back before responding, "I'm not the only one you should be thanking." he told her, looking towards the doorway as a tall figure with black hair entered the room.
J immediately let go, and turned around, following his gaze. "Ben!" she yelled, rushing over to him and hugging his right leg with all her might.
"You're welcome." both Ben and Luke said, almost at the same time.
When J let go, staring up in joy at her cousin, he suggested she try them on. She nodded frantically, grabbing the boots from her father and slipping them on. They were almost giant on her.
"They're too big!" J complained, looking up at the two.
"It's so you can grow into them. So you can wear them forever." Luke explained.
J was content with that answer, looking down at the big boots on her feet, her smile growing wider.
She would never take these off.
***
She dropped the boots from her hands, trying to fight back the sadness and the tears. She wiped them away as fast as she felt them fall until her face was dry and she could take a steady breath.
Her eyes drifted back to the boots, the memory poking at her skull. The happiness. How things used to be. She picked them back up, and shoved them into her bag, zipping it so she couldn't see them anymore.
She spent the day in her room, reading books or pacing the length of the room. Memories ran through her mind. Memories of her and her father, memories of her and Ben.
Memories of that night.
The door to her room shot open, which caused her to jump. Mae walked in, helmet off and a large smile on her face, "I can come with! Not only can I come with, I can stay!"
J's eyes widened as a smile stretched across her face, "What!?"
"I can come with you to the Finalizer and I can stay with you there. Kai can too!" Mae excitedly approached. J ran to her throwing her arms around the woman's neck, laughing loudly.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

__________________________
For those next two weeks, J spent a lot of her time preparing and going over the arrangements with the ship's General. General Mali. He was a very tall, older man with greying brown hair and glaring eyes. They didn't always get along, but had a mutual respect of each other. Currently she was on her way to his office for the last time. A droid had informed her that he requested her presence, but she wasn't sure why. Everything was already set. She entered the room without knocking, calling out, "Mali! Why'd you wanna see me?" looking around the large area, searching for him. He entered the room from a far off door. His long face set in it's usual grim expression. "To say a proper goodbye." he stated as if it was obvious. J was taken back a bit, he never seemed to care about her at all, why would a goodbye be necessary? "Oh Mali, I never knew you cared!" J exclaimed sarcastically, placing a gloved hand over her heart dramatically. The General rolled his eyes, walking closer to the young girl so that they weren't talking to each other from opposite sides of the room. "Trust me I don't. It'll be a blessing to not hear your snarky voice everyday," "Well that was just rude-" "But...I suppose it'll be boring at meetings without you. The only person with a hint of personality. You'll be...missed." He seemed to be reluctant with his words, like he had to force his feelings out. "Well don't strain yourself." J rolled her eyes with a smirk. He ignored her comment, grabbing her hand for a firm handshake, "Goodbye Jay." For once, J's face turned serious and she shook his hand back, "Goodbye General." It was silent for a second, before they both retracted their arms. "Your transport will arrive in a few minutes. I suggest you head there." he stated blandly, walking off to where he entered the room. J let out a sigh, turning on her heel and shuffling out of the room. The reality of the situation hit her like a ton of bricks. She was going to see her cousin again. Had he changed even more? Would he still look the same? He'd probably look different...older. She hadn't even noticed when she arrived at the docking bay, not until she heard her name being called by two familiar voices. She shook herself out of her daze, turning her head to the right to see two Stormtroopers waving her over. She let a small smile return to her face, trying to force her usual personality back over the nervousness that had consumed her. She cleared her throat before calling out, "Hey guys!" and running over. Even with their helmets on she could tell which was which. They were standing in front of a rather large ship which must have been their transport. "You guys excited?" she asked, smiling brightly and placing her hands on her hips. "Not really, no." Mae's modified voice answered, and J just knew the sassy expression that was on her face under that bucket. The Stormtrooper next to her, Kai (or KN-6972), nodded in agreement, "Yeah, this sounds like a mistake." he spoke, crossing his arms. "Hey! At least we're together. I could be going alone, and then who would you two spend all your free time with!?" J asked, fake frowning at the two. "Each other?" Kai chuckled. "But you'd miss me!" "Would I?" J let out an offended gasp, punching his armored shoulder which hurt her more than him, "You ass!" Kai just laughed, finding this amusing. "Okay, that's enough. We gotta get on." Mae interrupted, once again being the responsible one in their little group. They nodded, following her up the ramp and onto the dull and professional looking ship. Mae sat herself down in the co-pilot seat, while Kai took the pilot's spot. J plopped down onto the metal bench in the back. Hanging on to a bar beside her, keeping her in place when the ship jolted into space. "Is there a bathroom on this ship?" J asked, looking over at her friends. "Yeah, it's the door closest to the right wall." Mae responded. J nodded in thanks, and walked over to the simple metal door. Inside was a black tiled room with a sink, a mirror, and a toilet. She walked over to the mirror, taking in her attire. Snoke had basically ordered her to wear her "professional attire". For once, she actually listened. It was a pair of black pants and a shirt, with a textured black robe that ended around the middle of her thigh, held in place with a belt. Gloves were also part of the outfit. Was offered a helmet, said fuck no. However, of course she couldn't completely comply, and on her feet she wore her old tan boots. She had dug them out of her bag and decided to wear them with confidence in front of Ben. Her eyes scanned back up to her messy dirty blonde hair. It looked pretty shitty, and usually she wouldn't care, but for some reason...today was different. She pulled a piece of black fabric out of her pocket and began to braid her hair, using the fabric to tie the end of it. When she deemed herself decent again, she actually used the restroom for what it was meant for before walking out. Kai looked back at her when she stepped out, "Wow you actually did something with that rats nest." he murmured before turning around. J stuck her tongue out at him, sitting down once more. "How long till we arrive?" she asked, preparing to lay down on the metal bench. Mae said it would be a few hours and J took that as an invitation to nap. Slowly drifting to sleep.
"We're here! Wake up blondie!" Kai nudged J with his knee. She began to stir, groaning in annoyance. She reluctantly sat up and rubbed her eyes, "Hit me with your knee again and I'll detach it from your body." she mumbled, stretching.
He simply chuckled and walked away towards the ramp where Mae was waiting impatiently. J stood up, suddenly very awake...and very nervous. They were here. This was it.
She took a deep breath and tried to put on her confident mask, "Let's do this shit." she was embarrassed at how her voice slightly shook, put she put a smile on her face nonetheless.
The troopers could see right through her act, but said nothing. Mae put in the code and the ramp began to lower, slowly. Her worries got worse the longer she waited.
The ramp hit the ground with a thump and Kai nudged her forward. J was hesitant, her smile faltering. She walked down, a bit slower than usual, eyes glued to the ground until she felt all the eyes on her. She glanced up, her eyes locking with a familiar black visor.
She immediately paused, her whole act came crashing down. No sassy smile, no mischievous glint in her blue eyes. She seemed to forget how to move, frozen in the middle of the ramp.
She jumped when a hand was placed on her shoulder. She looked behind her right shoulder at Kai, who gave her shoulder a comforting squeeze, he hadn't seen her like this since she was 10. "It's okay J." he whispered, giving her a slight nod. J took a deep breath and nodded back, he was right.
He let his arm drop as J turned forward again. With another deep breath and some blossoming courage from her friends, she tilted her head slightly to the side and let a small smile creep onto her face. "H-hey cousin!" she stuttered a bit and gave a little sarcastic wave.
She walked the rest of the way down the ramp and up to him, "Long time no see." she crossed her arms, eyes glued to where his eyes should be. Most of her act was supported by the fact that she hated when her friends saw her in that previous state. It was motivating.
He seemed to ignore what she said, instead deciding to immediately go into why she was really sent here, "The Supreme Leader has informed me of your mutiny." J rolled her eyes at this part, "I will inform you now that that will not pass here."
He sounded so sure of himself, it made J almost mad. Those sentences encouraged her even more and her eyes lit up once again and a cocky smirk immediately replaced her shy smile, "We'll see about that."
The people around them who had been listening to the conversation seemed to tense, but Kai and Mae both smiled under their helmets.
"Is that a challenge?" Kylo asked, tilting his head to the side ever so slightly. J just shrugged, eyes glimmering with amusement and mischievousness, "Maybe." On the inside, she was screaming at herself to stop making the situation worse.
"You think me incompetent?"
"No. I just don't think you'll be able to stop me."
Kylo's fists clenched into balls, already annoyed with her attitude. "You've changed." he observed. The last time he saw her, she was a scared and shy little girl.
This irked J and her smirk faltered for a second, her eyes showing a mixture of accusation and anger, "Yeah...clearly. That kind of happens when you're left alone at age 10 to be forced into a life you don't want."
Kylo was about to respond when Mae took a step forward towards the both, "Okay! With all due respect, I think J should be shown to her room, it's been a long trip." she 'suggested'.
Mae had seen how J acts when talking about how he let them be separated, this wouldn't end well if she didn't change the subject.
Ren snapped his head over to the Stormtrooper, and J looked over at her friend. "That's-" Kylo began but J also cut him off,
"Oh leave her alone Kylo. She's just trying to help." she let out an inaudible sigh before turning back to her cousin, "On that note, how about in general you leave these two alone."
"Are you trying to give me an order?"
"No, I'm politely asking you." she sarcastically remarked.
"J."
"Ren."
Kylo's annoyance meter had blown, he reached out and grabbed J's arm, pulling her to him. Kai and Mae had to keep themselves from pulling her away from him. She held her breath and glared up at him as he leaned his head down, whispering menacingly, "You're lucky I'm supposed to meet with Snoke in a few minutes time. Don't expect this attitude of yours to pass if you continue."
He pushed her back, causing her to stumble. Kai and Mae immediately reached out to help steady her. Inwardly, Kylo didn't like doing this, but it was an order. He was supposed to teach her to listen. So he buried down those feelings and tried to replace them with the ones he felt for the everyday soldiers.
Ren turned on his heels, his robes dramatically swinging as he, in J's words, strutted away.
"Fucking prick." J muttered under her breath, "I don't even know where my room is."
As she spoke those words, another man approached her. He was also tall, which made J wonder why these men were so fucking tall, and he had neatly combed ginger hair.
"Jay Ren." he stated and from only two words, J knew this guy was an asshole. She looked down at the mans outfit, immediately noticing a familiar patch.
"You're General Hux, aren't you?" she asked. General Mali had mentioned him a few times. The man nodded and held up a datapad, which displayed where her room would be, "You will be staying in the same living quarters as Commander Ren. Once you walk into the room, there will be a door to the right, that belongs to him, your door will be farther up and to the left."
Damn it, it'd be harder to sneak her sweaters. "Ah, thanks General....but that sounds like a horrible arrangement." His expression became one of amusement,
"I would think so." he said in the snobbiest voice possible.
"Great fuck everyone aboard this ship is a dick." she rolled her eyes as she walked past him, purposely bumping into his arm. Kai and Mae followed behind her. Once they were far enough away, Kai let out a laugh, "Jesus kid, put a filter on it."
Mae reached over and slapped Kai on the back of the head, "Stop laughing, that wasn't funny. J could have been in danger." J let out an exhausted sigh,
"I can take care of myself, plus I doubt he would've actually done something there." she reached up to her braid and undid it, ruffling her hair, "Or he would have, but it's not like he'll kill me."
"Still. It was irresponsible." Mae scolded.
"Okay, chill it Mom." J laughed, nudging Mae with her elbow. She was trying to remember what she saw on the datapad, turning corners and walking down long black tiled hallways.
It took a few minutes, maybe a half-hour, before they reached the door with the correct number. "Guess this is my stop." she shrugged, turning to her friends.
Kai nodded, smiling lightly under his helmet. He ruffled her hair, "Bye kiddo. We'll see you tomorrow." J smiled, and the two trooper walked back the way they came.
J's smile dropped, turning towards the door. It was then when she realized that she didn't know the code. A sigh left her lips, and instead of going to find Kylo and ask for the code, she just lazily held her hand out. The door shot open a little too fast, but J didn't really care. She walked in, and shut the door behind her.
As Hux had said, there was a door to the right, and a far off one to the left. She shuffled her way to 'her room'. Inside the door was a bland black room with a door to a bathroom (probably) and something that resembled a closet. In the middle of the wall in front of her was a plain black bed. On the bed were her bags.
Despite her bags spread over the bed, J allowed herself the practically fall onto it, only wanting to rest.
This was going to be interesting.

I Am Grey - Prologue Part Two
REPOSTED ALL TOGETHER - THIS IS ALL OF PART TWO REPOSTED! ENJOY! IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT, FEEL FREE TOO!
A/N: I don't know if you're supposed to do it, but I did it. I made a part two to the prologue because I'd like the actual chapters to be when she's older. This is the beginning and it explains stuff so that you're not confused later. Sorry it took me awhile. ALL 4631 WORDS
Prologue Part One
This one is long, I hope you like it. It's gonna get funny and exciting when she is older, for this, she is just a scared little kid. Be excited for the next chapter, because trust me...she is not the same. ;)
Flames. Screams. Horror.
It replayed in her mind over and over again. The running, the bodies, the heat. The memories tortured her young mind, floating in and out of sight. Her dreams drifting darker than ever before.
Turning a familiar corner, coming face to face with not the 6 figures from before, but just one. Her cousin, Ben. He was clothed in his white and tan clothes from before.
All she felt was betrayal, pain, and....curiosity. Why? Why was he doing this? Why had he destroyed everything she loved? Before she could react, Ben stepped closer and an evil look crossed his pale face.
From out of no where, he pulled her father towards them both, igniting a lightsaber and plunging it into Luke's stomach. She tried to scream, tried to move, but found that she could do neither. All she could do was stand and watch as he twisted his lightsaber deeper into her father.
He pulled the lightsaber out, her father falling to the ground before his body disappeared. He stepped forward only once before-
J awoke with a gasp, pale blue eyes wide with panic and heart pounding hard in her chest. Her gaze darted around the room. It was a medium sized room, but to the little girl it looked massive.
Almost everything was either black or a shade of grey, including the bed she now noticed she was laying on. It was big enough to easily hold two grown adults, and three or four of J. The rest of the room was bare except for the dresser and two doors.
Her eyes finally drifted to herself, examining the damage she knew was there. Her right arm was tightly wrapped from her elbow to her wrist, a bit of the wound peaking out onto her hand, where she noticed light bruises on her knuckles. In her other arm, an IV had been placed. Someone had tried to fix her up, she'd thank them if she could, but no one was there.
She stayed, staring at her injures for a few moments before trying to sit up. The thick, black blanket fell from her torso and she took note of the new cloths. And unsurprisingly, it was all black. A plain black shirt and pants, and with the blanket pulled down some more, black socks. "This place seems cheery..." she sarcastically mumbled, her voice sounded rough and unused.
J thought about getting up and searching around, but was afraid of moving the IV. She cleared her throat and tried to call out. "Hello?" she was quiet at first, perhaps too quiet, so she tried again, louder this time, "Anyone here?"
She nibbled at her bottom lip, watching the door carefully, but no one came through. It seemed like she waited for hours, when truthfully it was only minutes. The young girl was getting restless, she needed to go. J took a deep breath, slowly moving her legs off the side of the bed. Her legs dangled, not nearly touching the floor.
Her eyes glanced back at the blaster door, no one came through. She moved herself down, feeling the cold floor through her new socks, before putting her full weight on them. Her legs wobbled and ached, her hand shot out and grabbed quickly onto the IV pole, using it for support.
Deep breath in...deep breath out, She told herself, Baby steps. One. Two. Three.
Woosh!
Her head whipped towards the door, stands of hair falling in front of her vision. The door had shot open and in came a terrified looking woman. Behind her was a man dressed all in black with a familiar mask hiding his face. Her eyes widened in recognition, before her gaze turned back to the female.
The woman approached J quickly, causing the young Skywalker to take a few shaky steps back. "You're not supposed to be out of bed ma'am." Ma'am?
"I-I called out a-and no one answered. I was just-"
"Let's get you back in bed." the woman cut her off, seemingly ignoring J's excuse.
"But I don't want to get back in the bed..." J mumbled, sounding like the sad child she was, taking another step back as the woman reached for her, "P-please don't touch me."
The woman looked more frustrated this time, going to move forward, but a hand stopped her. The leather glove was clamped down on the female's shoulder. His helmet turned to look at her before stating, "Leave. I'll request you back in a few minutes." It was simple, but clear. The woman nodded, the scared look back on her features, and then she scurried away. The doors shut harshly behind her.
J hadn't moved during the exchange. Her breathing was fast and her eyes were wide in fear like they had been since that night. He turned to her, silent as he himself moved forward. J didn't move away this time, looking up at a mask which held the face of her cousin under it. The person she used to look up to. For whatever reason, J had loved Ben since the day she was born. Her very first smile was directed at him. He had been her best friend in her 10 years of life.
And he had taken away everything she ever held close to heart.
He took another step, and with these new thoughts in mind, she stepped back as well, but her foot had gotten caught on something. She stumbled back instead, head hitting the wall with a thump. She yelped out in pain, crumpling to the floor. Her vision was fuzzy and a headache had started it's way through her head.
Her vision soon cleared, and her eyes were met with the emotionless mask of Ben. He had crouched down to her height, seemingly staring at her. She stared back, hands dropping from her head and to the freezing ground. It was an uncomfortable silence that fell upon them.
She would have wondered why he was wearing a mask, but it clicked as soon as she thought of it. He was 5 times scarier with it. Without seeing a face, without seeing emotions, it left an odd feeling of suspense that hung thick in the air.
Oddly, the stillness of it all was calming in a way. Her heart rate slowed and her breathing returned to it's own sort of normal. The first movement made in what felt like minutes was the tilt of his head.
"Better?" was all he asked, though the question didn't sound like he was concerned. It sounded almost condescending. J's eyes flickered to the ground as she nodded. He shifted, elbows resting on his bent knees, head straightening back up.
"You're hurt." he stated, "And that woman's a doctor. Let her do her job, J."
"But-"
"J." it was a clear warning.
"Fine! Whatever." she snapped, looking up with a little glare she managed to muster up. He didn't say anything, and didn't move. She couldn't get to the bed with him in front of her, "You need to move, ya know."
Unknown to her, a smirk had formed on his face. It was amusing to see her try to be intimidating. She had a long way to go. He swiftly pushed himself up and took a few steps back, gesturing towards the bed with his hand.
J let out a sigh, placing a hand on the back wall while her other hand gripped the IV stand tightly. She slowly pulled herself up, legs wobbling and head pounding, her eyes closed as pain became clear on her face. She wanted to fall back down, to insist on staying on the ground, but she felt like she had to be stronger than that.
She placed a hand on the back of her head, taking a deep breath. She opened her eyes, blinking away small tears. It was only two small steps till she reached it. J let go of the pole, sliding herself back onto the bed, that felt way more comfortable than it had before.
She watched as Ben's hand came out to the side, opening the door for the doctor. Without saying a word, and moved to stand at the end of the bed. The woman walked over a bit hesitantly, J noticed the supplies that she now brought with her.
She allowed the doctor to gently grab her burned arm, slowly unwrapping it to reveal that the whole back of her forearm was covered in healing burn scars. They were still a bit pink. "Woah..." J's airy voice was evidence of the shock that overcame her, seeing her own arm like this.
"It's still in its healing phase, but it will scar." The doctor informed her, grabbing a tube of some sort of gel, "This'll sting." she than began to apply it to the burned skin. J let out an audible hiss, her eyes clamping shut immediately. Saying it stung was an understatement.
Eventually, she felt fabric against her skin. The doctor was wrapping it back up. The pain subsided and J opened her eyes. The female lifted her small hand gingerly, checking over the fading bruises, which raised the question, "How long was I asleep?"
The doctor was about to answer, when Ben did it for her, "A week."
"A week!?" J repeated in surprise.
This time the doctor got to answer, "I gave you some medicine, to speed up your healing. The coma is a side affect." She dropped J's hand and placed the tube and gauze back in her small bag, "Everything is healing nicely, I'm going to recommend some more rest, and eventually you should be back to normal." The woman hadn't looked at J's face the entire time, she observed.
The woman went to walk away, but J quickly reached out with her uninjured arm and tugged on the fabric of her shirt, "What's your name?"
The doctor turned to her, finally meeting J's eyes, "Dr. Tendo." J finally took notice to how the doctor looked. She had neatly pulled back red hair and chocolate brown eyes. Her face was round and soft. She was beautiful. She had been too caught up to really look at her before.
The young girl offered her a small, weak smile, "Thank you for helping me, Dr. Tendo." She gave J a kind smile back, before turning away and leaving with the slam of the doors behind her. "Bye." she mumbled to herself.
Ben had watched this interaction intently. Snoke had insisted that he keep his cousin alive. He claimed she would one day be powerful and they would need her on their side, considering it easier to manipulate her at such a young age. But from what he just watched, he doubted it would be as easy as Snoke thinks it will be. She's drawn to the light....though, he could sense something else. Something hidden.
J shifted so that she was sitting cross-legged on the bed, staring at her hands in her lap. She could tell he was thinking, with how his helmet was tilted slightly downwards and he took a familiar stance. She imagined that look on his face, the one he always got when he was in deep thought. His face was serious, but his eyes showed that he was clearly not fully at attention.
But he wore a mask now.
After a few moments, J decided to speak up, "Hey, Ben-"
"Kylo."
"What?"
He turned towards her this time, "My name is Kylo Ren." He stood up straighter, "Ben, is gone." he stated definitely. J didn't fully understand what that meant, giving him a confused look.
The modifier hid the sound of his sigh before he clarified, "I changed my name." It didn't sound as cool, but at least J understood now. She made an 'oh' face, than asked, "Why?"
"I needed to destroy my past, who I was, to become what I was always supposed to be." He phrased it the best he could, watching her reaction carefully. She seemed to understand, pondering over something in her head.
"So, you're gonna be different?" she asked, tilting her head to the side much like he had earlier, though her's was more out of curiosity. He nodded, but didn't say anything.
"Oh, okay." She muttered, "Well....then, hey Kylo. Why am I here?" her hands messed with the fabric of the blanket, "You didn't take anyone else, and I know it's not because I'm family, because I didn't see my dad." she looked up from the bed.
"It was an order, from the Supreme Leader." he answered, "Whom we are supposed to speak with later today." this had J more worried than before. Supreme Leader? Who was that? And why did he give the order to kidnap her? "I'll be back in a few hours. I suggest you get more sleep." he finished off, turning away and walking to the doors.
"Wait!" she called. He halted, but said nothing. "W-why.....Why did he order you to take me?" she asked, confusion taking over every other emotion.
It was silent for a few seconds....
"You'll see."
She didn't know when or how, but she had drifted off to sleep at some point. This time it was a decently peaceful, no dreams plaguing it.
Two rather large hands grabbed onto her and began to shake her lightly. Her eyes slowly blinked open, a noise of confusion leaving her lips before her eyes readjusted to the light. "It's time."
The familiar mask of Ben Kylo appeared in her vision. "Oh..." she mumbled tiredly, rubbing her eyes. His hands wrapped around her upper arms, pulling her to sit up. Without warning, he grabbed her uninjured arm and pulled out the IV. "Ow!" she whined, giving a little pout.
He said nothing, only grabbing something from the floor and tossing them to the young girl. She barely caught them, one falling onto her lap. It was a pair of tan boots. They were a soft and comfortable fabric, and she recognized them immediately.
"These are actually mine..." J observed, turning them to look at the bottom, her initials engraved in the bottom. They had been her favorite, but had gone missing awhile back. "How did you find these?"
"They were never missing."
She looked up at him in confusion, before it clicked. This whole thing must have been being planned way before that night, it wasn't a split second thing. He took her boots to make sure they didn't get destroyed. He knew how much she loved them, perhaps this was a small sign of any care he had left for her.
A small smile crossed her little face before she pushed the blankets away from her, slipping the boots onto her feet. They reached up to her mid-calf and were only a bit too big, her father claimed that it was so she would be able to grow into them. She tightly fixed the straps, making sure they wouldn't be too loose.
She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and hopped down, wobbling at first. The pain in her head had resided, making it easier to focus on her steps. "Follow me." he spoke, heading out the door, his cape dramatically swinging out behind him.
J's steps were smaller than his, which made following him harder. She was several feet behind him, and trying her hardest to catch up with him.
It seemed like forever when they finally reached their destination. A large metal door opened to reveal a bland, gigantic room. In the very middle sat a man half the size of the room, it took her a second to recognize it as a hologram. He had an oddly shaped head and a piercing gaze. He was terrifying.
"Supreme Leader." Kylo greeted once they approached the hologram. J stopped a bit behind her cousin, subconsciously trying to hide behind his tall frame.
Snoke gave a nod to the knight, before bringing his attention to the small child cowering behind his apprentice. "Move out from behind him, child." he ordered in a calm voice.
J nibbled on her cheek, fidgeting with the fabric of her shirt. Kylo stepped to the side, looking at the nervous and scared girl. Her eyes darted from him to the large projection before gazing at the floor, moving forward with shaky steps.
The hologram bent farther down in the chair, as if to examine her, "So small for someone so powerful." he spoke, leaning back up and turning to Kylo. "I would have come in person, but my ship is under repair at the moment." he explained, though J had a feeling he really didn't have to. Kylo remained silent, nodding in understanding.
The humanoid switched the topic quickly after that, "I ordered you both here to inform you on my decision." He stated, leaning back in his chair, "I believe it would be beneficial to separate the two of you while you continue your training, Ren."
J stopped her fidgeting, freezing on the spot. What? Her breathing picked up, eyes wide. Alone. All alone. She didn't want to be alone. She couldn't, not now. Not after all of this.
"Where will you be sending her?" Kylo asked, the modifier seemed to hide any emotions he could have been feeling in that moment. Truly, he felt a twinge of worry, though he would never show that.
"Her assigned ship is relatively new. It's name is still being decided. You will be given the location and updates, but that is the extent of it." Snoke answered, "She will still be trained by me personally, but it will be...modified." Kylo gave a nod, while J was getting frustrated that she was not being included in a talk about her. What if she didn't want to go?
"I must go now. Ren, I trust you to finish off the plan. Her transport should be here in less than a week. I trust everything will be taken care of." Snoke's image wavered before fully disappearing.
"I'm leaving?" she asked, though it was rhetorical.
Kylo's mask turned to her, before his whole body turned towards the exit and he stomped over to the door. Yes, stomped. J followed after him, observing how his fists clenched at his sides.
She wondered what had him so worked up.
It had been roughly three days since she had spoken with the Supreme Leader. Kylo had dropped her off back in the room she was staying at without any words, and she hadn't seen him after that. Some clothes had been dropped by for the couple days she'd be here. Surprise, they were black. Much like most of the base.
The days here were repetitive and honestly, quite boring so far. They went like this: wake up, get checked over by Dr. Tendo, eat, talk with Dr. Tendo (they had created a friendly bond over their time together) , occasionally walk around the base, and sleep.
Today, she was in the 5th step. She wore a black shirt and pants with her tan boots, but with a black jacket this time. The wardrobe was slowly growing.
She stuffed her hands in the pockets of the jacket, strolling around the hallways. Her legs had started to feel better, so this was more enjoyable than the first time she had tried. She blew a piece of blonde hair out of her face before turning an unfamiliar corner, which caused her to bump straight into another person.
She yelped as she stumbled backwards, blurting out a "Sorry!". She looked up to face the mask of her cousin, "Oh, hi." she mumbled, eyes glancing to the side.
"What are you doing outside your room?" his modified voice asked, sounding curious, but also annoyed. J awkwardly shrugged, "I got bored."
Under the mask, he rolled his honey-brown eyes at her response. He had been coming to get her anyway, "You won't be for much longer, your transport will arrive in an hour."
Panic spread through J, she knew it was coming, but she didn't expect it so soon. Even though her days were boring, at least she wasn't alone.
"I may not be bored...but I'll be alone." she stated, her voice laced with sadness.
"They'll be people." he responded.
"Not one's I know!"
"You'll get to know them!"
"I don't want to!"
"J!"
"BEN!"
"DON'T-" he growled loudly, clenching his fists. J had jumped, cowering from the loud noise. He took a deep breath, knowing that lashing out and hurting the girl wouldn't work out well. He resisted the urge to grab his lightsaber and carve dents in the wall, and tried again, "Don't call me that. And I suggest you stop arguing. You're going on that ship, whether you want to or not."
Her eyes watered, but she nodded, staring at the ground and her boots. A small, hidden part of him wanted to do something...anything to make her feel better, but he pushed it deep down.
"You have time to say goodbye to Dr. Tendo, but then we have to wait at the bay. It's been requested that you leave as soon as possible." he stated, watching the girl shift feet.
"Okay....but I don't know where she is...." her voice was quiet. He nodded before turning on his heel and walking the other way. She followed quietly, assuming he was showing her where to go.
She knew he had been when they arrived at the med-bay. She moved in front of him, looking around until her eyes spotted the familiar bright red hair. She was looking over something on her data pad. "Dr. Tendo!" J waved, giving a weak smile.
The ginger perked up, smiling before turning her head towards the little girl's voice, smile faltering when seeing the dark clad figure behind her.
"Hello J." she greeted politely, walking over to the two, "I talked to you a few hours ago, what's up now?" she asked, trying to ignore Kylo's presence.
J's smile disappeared completely, "Well...I-I'm leaving...soon." she looked down at her fidgeting hands, "I came to say Goodbye. And thank you for taking care of me."
Dr. Tendo glanced over at Kylo, than moved her eyes to the little girl, and surprised her by wrapping her arms around her small frame. "It's been a pleasure getting to know you J, I hope we see each other again soon."
J felt awkward at first, but than found comfort in the hug. She squeezed the doctor's waist, holding onto her tightly. She didn't know what to say, so she just held onto her like her life depended on it.
Dr. Tendo could tell that Ren was becoming impatient, causing her to place her hands on J's shoulders, gently moving her away, "You should probably go...but first, I'd like you to have something." she gave the girl a small smile, sliding a bracelet off her pale wrist and onto J's.
It was an open bracelet, silver until one of the end forms into a golden moon with a silver inside. The other end forms into a small heart with a diamond in the middle. It was beautiful.
"I love it." the girl said in amazement, looking back up at the doctor, "Are you sure?" Dr. Tendo gave a soft smile before nodding,
"Yes, now go on, I'll see you again one day."
J nodded, turning her head to Ben Kylo. His blank mask stared right back at her. She sighed, turning away from the doctor completely, "Let's go." she mumbled, staring down at her wrist.
Ren showed her silently out of the med-bay, and down a couple hallways, before J tugged on his arm, "Wait," she sighed, continuing when he turned to look at her, "Can I see your face before I leave?" she asked, awkwardly glancing away.
He stayed silent for a moment, seemingly contemplating. He glanced around, making sure they were alone, than his hands lifted to the helmet. It released a hissing sound and J stared up at him with anticipation. He slowly pulled it off, ebony hair falling out to frame his pale face. His honey eyes stared down at her.
He was definitely the Ben she grew up with, but he had a different look in his eyes. Something she couldn't decipher. She was happy to see his face, but also saddened and slightly scared. It didn't matter though.
Even though what he did was awful, he was still the person she had looked up to her whole life. In a split second decision, she jumped forward, wrapping her arms around his waist and holding him tightly. Her face pressed against his stomach.
He stood still, honestly surprised, arms out away from his sides as the small girl hugged him. He stared down at her. He didn't want to do this. He didn't want to send her away on her own, she had clung to him her whole life. They had formed a special bond.
He let out an almost audible sigh, glancing around once more, before dropping his helmet and moving his arms down, placing his hands on the girl's shoulders, nudging her away gently. She reluctantly let go, looking down.
Kylo crouched down to her height, trying to meet her gaze, "You will be fine. This will not be the last we see each other. It may be months or years, but one day....you will be back." and with the last of the light left in him, he pulled his cousin to him, returning her hug from just seconds ago. "But don't expect me to be the same."
With that, he let go and slipped his helmet back on. He stood to his full height, "follow me."
Within minutes, they were at the docks, her ride just arriving. He nudged her forward as the door hissed and opened to reveal the inside of the ship.
A Storm Trooper stepped out of the ship and motioned her forward. She glanced back at Ren, a look of sadness, before turning forward and walking.
She walked until she reached the Trooper. "Skywalker?" he asked. J nodded, "This is my transport?" He nodded as well.
She kept walking at that, a feeling of nervousness flooding her. The Trooper followed behind her, and the door closed behind them.
J immediately went to a nearby window, seeing Kylo still standing where he was. She tilted her head slightly to the side, pressing her right hand onto the window.
"Bye Bye Ben."
