Many emotions went through Kyle’s mind as he watched the two kiss. They had all grown up together and yet both Elliot and Freedert had gone behind his back. “Why didn’t you tell me that you love Freedert too, Elliot?” Kyle muttered to himself, getting frustrated each moment as he continued to look on. “I told you how I felt about her.” He turned around in order to not witness anything else. Just then an idea appeared inside his head. One that was clearly to his liking. “You can take everything else but the one thing I won’t allow you to have is Freedert.”

"They're not breathing!" An alarm went off in Kyle's head the moment he heard those words. Reaching out to touch the body of his friend and unrequited love, he found that they were indeed cold. It'd be one thing had it been just Elliot but now Freedert as well? Once again, the two of the had left him...This time Kyle would no longer be able to see them. He could hear the sound of someone screaming. Yet as Kyle listened closely, it was the sound of his own. Whether it was for Elliot and Freedert or himself, he didn't know. "...I'm sorry."

Backbone

31: Asking for help therapy | making amends | "I'm alive, I'm just not well" (Elliot Lee, Alive, Not Well)

“I know what I did was wrong.” Kyle spoke, looking away from the apparition of his two childhood friends. “I told the Second Hand of Time to take away your time because I was jealous of you.” He stared down at the apparition of the boy who he thought would know him best. “And that ended up hurting you and the last person I wanted to take her life.” ‘Freedert merely stared back at him, silently. “It’s strange…I thought you would both hate me and I wouldn’t get the chance to talk with you once more.” He sighed with relief. “I know it means nothing right now but…I’m sorry.”

Wonderland

“They look good together…”

He trailed off, watching his two childhood friends in the pool.

Kyle sighed.

He should be happy for them and yet why did his heart ache at the sight of them.

The feeling was foreign and yet somewhat familiar almost as though Kyle had experienced it before.

That couldn’t be right…The teen hadn’t felt this way before.

Perhaps the summer heat was getting to him.

SPLAAAASH

As he thought this, Kyle was suddenly hit by water.

He looked pointedly at the source, Freedert giving him a cheeky smile.

“Aren’t you going to put that book down? You did promise us earlier that you would join us.”

“You didn’t have to splash me to do that. I’m coming in.“

He sighed once more, placing the book down.

Perhaps one day, the teen will understand that feeling.

Until then, he wanted to enjoy his time with his dearest friends.

I’m Sorry For the Person I Became Day 27: Weariness

For once Kyle regretted everything that happened. From telling the Second Hand of Time to stop Elliot’s time to indirectly causing Freedert’s death.

Without those two around, it wasn’t really the same.

Days would pass as he would tirelessly write of their story as a warning. Or perhaps it was more out of fear,

And every day he would wake up to nightmares which ended with him not sleeping for the rest of the day.

Maybe this was his just desserts for being too selfish.

But more than anything Kyle wanted to finally die and tell them that he was sorry.
