It is a night of clear skies, no cloud to cover the resplendence of the starry sky. Ashe retraces constellations she has seen infinite times before; warriors of old, honored in the sky, divine beings and beasts shining amidst the dark mantle they share. Be it for amusement, the mere appreciation of beauty, or even seeking guidance when one had no map, her gaze had often sought the stars. And this in particular is a beautiful night; a somewhat rare one, as well, if only for how limpid the view was.

Summer lends itself to enjoying the outdoors, the temperature mild compared to other seasons. The fire that burns in front of where they sit feels almost unnecessary for its warmth. While it might be valued for its light, that, too, the archer could go without, too absorbed in stargazing to have use for the flame's brightness.

Rarer than the view is the opportunity to simply be; here and now, concerns of leadership and would-be fate are left behind, forgotten even if momentarily. It will end, she knows, too soon, as it always does. But while it lasts, it's a moment all theirs, and Ashe is grateful to have it, even if they cannot stay for too long.

You put the stars to shame, Tryndamere says, interrupting that train of thought and drawing her gaze from above to him, only to find his already upon her. The smile the words elicit is subtle, almost bashful as she lowers her gaze. There are still those who call him barbarian, yet the words that fall from his lips sound anything but. He is not the kind to waste time on practiced, pretty words, she knows; if he says it, it's genuine. If it sounds like something lifted from song or verse, the beauty of his words is effortless. And in that moment, even more than all others, Ashe feels lucky to be the one his heart sings for.

Her own words falter at the request to dwell in the moment and bask in her presence as if he saw in her something worthy of worship. I want to drink you in, Tryndamere says as if a man parched, and there is naught she would deny to sate his thirst. From her place beside her husband, Ashe moves closer, a hand placed upon his, the other guiding his face toward her for a deep kiss. It is unhurried, a thing to be savored, an indulgence that lasts seconds and feels too short as she parts from him and leans back into her original position, before lying down on the cloak that covers the ground beneath. She looks up at him again, blue eyes shining and pale skin almost aglow beneath the moonlight; yet among all things, her smile is the brightest. ❝ Drink in as much as you wish to. In any way you want me, I'm yours for the taking, my love.❞

I am not saying that zuko is sokkas substitute for kya. or they look in any way similar! The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!

Hello! Wellcome to my sort of 2023 recap!

ID in ALT text shockingly i drew more zukos then sokkas this year.... which is weird to me personally? although... i did have a sudden 'i have no clue how to draw zuko?!?!?" moment this year. oh also..uh... i was wondering if i drew egnouth faces to make them 'turn around' and well...
