🌿 Feste & Traditionen auf der Insel Rab – April & Mai

Auf der Insel Rab gibt es einige besondere Feierlichkeiten, die tief in der Geschichte und Kultur der Region verwurzelt sind.

📌 Križevo (Letzter Sonntag im April)

Dieses traditionelle Votivfest führt Gläubige aus allen Pfarreien der Insel in einer feierlichen Prozession zur Kathedrale in der Stadt Rab. Jede Pfarrei trägt ihre eigene Fahne, und es wird eine große Messe abgehalten. Diese Tradition reicht bis ins 15. Jahrhundert zurück und wurde als Dank für die Errettung von einer Pestepidemie eingeführt.

📌 Spargelfest (April – Mai)

Ein Highlight für Feinschmecker! Restaurants auf Rab bieten in dieser Zeit köstliche Gerichte mit wildem Spargel an. Dieses Fest zelebriert nicht nur die kulinarischen Traditionen der Insel, sondern auch die enge Verbindung der Bewohner zur Natur.

Kleine Info:

Die Kvarner Bucht gehört nicht zu Dalmatien, sondern zum kroatischen Küstenland (Primorje). Dalmatien beginnt südlich der Kvarner Bucht (ab Zadar). Inseln wie Rab, Krk und Lošinj sind Teil dieser einzigartigen Region zwischen Istrien und Dalmatien.

💡 Ich selbst träume davon, trotz #mecfs wieder salzige milde Luft an der Küste zu genießen – sei es zur Algenblüte auf Rab im Frühling, Touristen noch spärlich im April/Mai, oder im milden trockenen September.

Ansonsten zu trockenen, warmen Zeiten gern wieder Richtung Greetsiel, Norddeich, Neuharlingersiel, Husum, Insel Langeoog oder Spiekeroog, Borkum, oder auch Richtung Varel an die Nordsee oder doch die schöne, mildere Ostsee mit Pelzerhaken und Retin, vielleicht mal Wismar, Boltenhagen oder Usedom oder gar Insel Fehmarn oder die Ostsee Inseln Dänemarks?! 🌊

Noch 2 Tage....

Wir 4 sind schon sehr aufgeregt und voll Vorfreude auf unseren Roadtrip 2018. Geplant ist eine Reise über München (Besuch bei unseren Freunden), Österreich (Kärnten, Millstättersee) nach Kroatien (Istrien, Kvarnerbucht, Dalmatien), evtl. Insel Krk oder Rab und wenn das Wetter mitspielt einige Tage Berchtesgaden. Unterkunft beziehen wir auf Campingplätzen und in Ferienwohnungen.

4 Wochen haben wir Zeit. Gespannt sind wir, ob es wieder so entspannt läuft wie letztes Jahr und ob die Natureindrücke wieder so toll sind wie auf unserer Südfrankreichreise.

Lea freut sich aufs wandern und aufs spielen mit Elias, der ja jetzt schon viiiel größer ist als vor 1 Jahr.

Als Familie wünschen wir uns ganz viel Nähe, und Zeit füreinander, ohne Arbeit, Stress und Hausputz, dafür die Verbundenheit mit der Natur wieder deutlich spüren, Kraft tanken, erden. Zufrieden sein mit dem nötigsten - mit sich.
