Apa aku harus berhenti aja ya? berhenti mengelola hidupku sendiri? Jadi biasa-biasa saja, menjadi menerima apa saja, menjadi basi.

Okay so I just searched Lola just to see if there was a canon timeline for her or if she can be placed anywhere (I am a firm believer that she can be dropped just about anywhere okay her part of the SW whole is AMBIGUOUS other than being apprenticed to Kutu as a Sith) and I have struck gold!!
Kutu, her master that she killed, has a death listed as 32 BBY.
Which means that Palpatine’s master was NOT the only Sith master killed that year!!! Kutu and Palpatine are also both very cringefail at keeping their evil apprentices evil lol. Maybe. Maybe if they actually offered power instead of taking unwilling slaves- lmao as if.
Anyways. I want an AU where Lola is off in her shade of the universe when she finds a bundle of soft sad cosmic force energy. (Btw, I put this in my time travel AU but I believe cosmic force users are basically energy MAKERS which is why Lola is able to sustain her shade of the universe, because she isn’t just THERE, she’s exuding enough energy to keep life coming to her for her needs, and also I believe that Obi-Wan belongs to the cosmic force. This is not canon at all, I don’t think he’s even technically listed as a unifying force Jedi. Him as a living force Jedi is wrong in like 10000 ways tho lol.)
Anyways. She feels bad about the sad little bundle of cosmic force, so she absorbs him into her shade, where he turns out to be a 13 year old boy that was put in a slave mine.
Anyways, she teaches him to use the shade they now live in to move about in a way that defies all physics and takes him as her apprentice.
It’s not till Obi-Wan is 25 that they encounter Kutu and Maul both on Tatooine, working together because they needed to catch Palpatine’s future apprentice.
Anyways. Kutu gets dead and Maul is given a choice, that not all those who followed the Sith, even willingly, can’t turn their backs on it. Anyways, Maul goes into that shade of the universe and runs off to collect his brothers and teach them too.
And that’s when the Jedi learn that Obi-Wan is still alive and has a lovely master with lovely droids and Anakin wants to help her upgrade her arm and Obi-Wan is ENCHANTED by the baby and asks to teach him, meanwhile Jinn (not QUITE to blame but also not exactly welcomed rn) is standing there like 🧍🏼because he knows the ride back to Coruscant is gonna be awkward and the high council are like ‘YOU FOUND OUR BABY????’
Anyways. I should write this. Also I should find another word to use other than shade, because it’s not a shade. It’s like. They’re in the same place as everyone else, they’re just overlapping like multiple dimensions where they can create their own rules.
Also I think Obi-Wan shouldn’t call her master. He should call her Mama.
Since some of you MIGHT know the fact that I am obsessed with the eldritch possibilities of the Force in Star Wars (especially since not many people know that the Time Travel fic is about to get Super Fuckin Weird soon and that’s saying something cause I’m writing this after I’ve already revealed that most of the clones are gonna end up back in time) aaaaaaaaaand I am also the type of autist that takes things SUPER literally in a way that makes me hate poetry, take music seriously, and ‘visual poetry’ is not real wdym that’s just an alternate universe where weird shit happens-
Anyways. I have always been somewhat obsessed with Star Wars Visions since it came out, and my fave episode is S2E1: Sith. Earlier I was thinking about the speeder cycle that Lola has in it, and I wanna find out what type of cycle that is so I can put it in a fic (I think in the fic where Jaster finds Obi-Wan in the jungle and adopts him and brings him home, he would eventually get Obi-Wan one for like his 18th birthday or something, saying ‘it’s nearly crash proof’ only for him and Jango and Arla to watch in worry the entire time Obi is on it because ‘👁️👄👁️ the lot worker that sold me it said it wasn’t possible to go that fast on it’ and now Boga is trying to bite it when Obi passes her and they are SO worried)-
But the other reason I wanna rewatch it rn!!! Is because I take the visuals very literally. And I think I wasn’t the only one obviously but apparently a lot of other people completely ignored the visuals, saying it’s part of the metaphor but I’m over here like screeching at my caseboard like ‘THE VISUALS ARE LITERALLY HER HIDING HER PRESENCE IN THE FORCE SHE HAS SHADED HERSELF INTO ANOTHER BRANCH OF THE UNIVERSE TO HIDE FROM HER MASTER’ like. Honey. It’s the force. It’s not just visual metaphor bruh she’s found a way to hide in the edges of the universe and her look of colour on the galaxy is how she continues to sustain herself with minimal interaction with the universe!!!
‘Oh but why can she still fight her Sith master-‘ don’t be dense you shit, when she found a door that was already fully coated in colour despite it being non-living, she was clearly shocked and tried to get into it, without realizing that was a Sith portal BACK into the world of physical being and the only way her master could trap her into dealing with him!!!!!
Anyways. I want to make Lola a character in fics the same way I have Jaster or Fay in fics. They’re not big screen characters or even well known characters, but fans seem to love all of them.
And in the time travel fic it would actually make sense for Obi-Wan to accidentally run into her at a certain point and charm her with his big smiles and complimenting her paintings and grin really big and point to his mouth and say he lost his fang caps recently so his fangs are all tiny again, aren’t they cute??? Anyways. Yeah.

🎧 Sylvie Vartan - Baby C'est Vous
.
Kendi kendime gülümseyip başımı iki yana sallıyorum şu an. İnsanların bir şeyler biriktirmesini anlamsız bulan ben miyim? Defterlerim saklıyor her şeyimi.

[Fic] “I Believe the Children Are Our Future” - Chronicles of Narnia
Summary: Helping your sister take care of her new twins is vexing. Figuring out a stable and robust system of government for Narnia that will outlast your death is even more vexing, but you can't properly manage the former task without eventually facing the latter. AU, no White Stag. (1,425 words)
Note: Written for alexseanchai, in response to the prompt: kids / babies, the Pevensie(s) of your choice, didn't-return-to-England AU. It is also a fill for the Genprompt Bingo square kids / babies.
--------------------------------------------- I Believe the Children Are Our Future ---------------------------------------------
"I still say having twins was a bit much," Lucy remarked as she held Ngoro on her lap, carefully propping her niece upright so the baby could stare out the nursery window at the summer rain pattering on an exuberant spray of ivy. "Yes, it's a marvelous way to trump Edmund and Margita for having the first child of House Pevensie, but when do you and Jurusi sleep?"
"We trade watches," Susan said, deftly folding the last flap of Alfred's diaper and fastening it with a silver pin, "besides which, all the good folk of Cair Paravel stand ready to lend a hand, paw, or wing whether we need the assistance or not."
"That's not-- well, yes, I suppose that is how things go around here," Lucy conceded. "Though frankly, as vexing as it can be to have everyone sticking their noses into one's decisions, I prefer that to the alternative. We've seen quite clearly what happens when people have no one willing and able to tell them they're being foolish or need more sleep."
Susan made a hideous face at her son, who giggled and flailed his pudgy, uncoordinated hands toward her mouth and nose. "I beg you, don't remind me."
Lucy made a face in turn, then swayed back to avoid getting smacked in the eye by Ngoro's equally uncoordinated excitement. "Alas, I think I have to -- at least in a roundabout way. It was fine when Ysavetta was the only heir, but we now have three children of House Pevensie and no established rule of precedence for which shall inherit what. Worse yet, I don't think we've established a principle of dynastic inheritance at all, considering our authority comes directly from Aslan and the land's own prophecy, which isn't what I'd call an easily replicable precedent."
"Lucy. I am too tired to think about political theory."
Lucy hefted Ngoro into her arms and stood from her armchair. "You won't become any less tired for at least a year." Ngoro made a noise halfway between a coo and a frustrated kitten-mew, and flailed again toward Lucy's face. Lucy intercepted her niece's hand with one of her own fingers, which Ngoro promptly wrapped her own tiny fingers around and tugged close to shove into her mouth. "Besides, you're far more honest when you're too exhausted to put on your regal face." And like it or not, some questions needed answers.
"You're far too honest all the time. It's most vexing, having a sister who's the next best thing to a living saint." Susan sat down on the broad couch that doubled as a bed for whoever was taking night watch in the nursery and guarding the infant prince and princess. Then she flopped down onto her back, pulling Alfred with her until he was lying face-down on her stomach. "Hello, darling! Yes, I know, that feels so much better now. Isn't it nice to be clean? How about we try to keep Mummy's dress clean for at least five minutes? Can we do that, sweetling?"
"Five candied chestnuts says he can't."
"Deal," Susan said as she grasped Alfred's hands within her own and began waving his arms back and forth, up and down, in mirrored patterns. "Now take your finger out of my daughter's mouth -- honestly, when was the last time you washed your hands? -- and tell me why you think we ought to settle the succession today rather than wait to discover if any of our children even wish to shoulder the weight of an entire country."
Lucy pried her finger out of Ngoro's mouth and tapped her niece on the nose to distract her from her thwarted gnawing. "The Tisroc's sons."
Susan's hands stilled for a moment. "Ugh. Yes. Fair point. There are any number of rotten strands contributing to that poisoned web, but the tacit rule that the throne goes to whosoever can take and hold it certainly bears much of the weight."
"I fear that accepting murder as a legitimate method of succession was the seed of a number of those other rotten strands over the generations," Lucy said. "I'd prefer for our family and our country not to turn down that path."
"The trouble, of course," Susan said as she continued to wave Alfred's arms about to his apparent glee, "is that any fixed succession method for a royal house opens the way to unfit or uninterested rulers. Moreover we face the problem of either converting a tetrarchy into a monarchy without creating hard feelings among any children who don't inherit a throne, or of establishing some equivalent to Peter's role as High King without divine appointment to back that person's claim over the other three rulers."
Lucy sighed. "Yes, exactly. I'd thought we might have the High Throne go by seniority -- whoever has been king or queen the longest when the current High King or High Queen dies -- but that only works if there's a clear rule for accession to the lesser thrones. This is why I need your help. The Lion only knows I haven't found any foolproof answers and I've been worrying at the matter since Ysavetta was-- Ouch!" Ngoro, both hands tangled in Lucy's hair, yanked again. "Yes, I know my hair is shiny, but we don't hurt people unless we're at war, and even then we warn them first. Let go. Why don't we go look at the rain again? It's shiny too!"
"One would think a soldier would know the value of braiding back her hair," Susan remarked to the white-gold stars painted in constellations across the nursery ceiling.
"Braids make my scalp itch."
"'Tis a great pity for you. Regardless, it occurs to me that you have framed the problem too narrowly. The question is not who shall inherit the throne or thrones of Narnia. The question is how Narnia shall be governed when we four are gone to Aslan's Country. Why have a throne at all? I seem to recall that some lands in Spare Oom managed well enough without one."
Lucy stilled, hand stretched out through the open window to cup a palmful of rain, cool and cleansing on her skin. Then she pulled her arm back in and let Ngoro smash one hand gleefully into the tiny puddle.
"Narnia has always had a king or queen, since the Dawn of Time itself. Will the land be satisfied without one?"
Susan rolled onto her side to meet Lucy's gaze, Alfred cradled safely within her arms. "Perhaps not. But I think that is the question we must answer first, before we seek to burden my children or our niece with the weight and duty of a throne. And further, I think we should draw others into our search. We have never ruled alone -- neither one king or queen without three others to hold the balance, nor four tetrarchs alone with no counsel from our people -- and a question so vital as this cannot be resolved behind closed doors. That, too, is a rotten seed I would not see take root in Narnian soil."
"It's most vexing, having a sister who would rather ask a dozen new questions than find a simple answer," Lucy said with a smile.
"Anyone who claims to have a simple answer to a complicated problem is lying or deceived," Susan said.
"Even Aslan?"
"Aslan is the only potential exception, but I prefer to reserve judgment until I reach his Country and examine the perspective from which he makes his decisions." Susan heaved herself upright and held out one hand to forestall Lucy's rejoinder. "In the meantime, because you're my sister and I love you, all vexation aside, I will give you one simple answer."
She crossed the nursery, pushed Lucy down into the armchair, and deposited Alfred on her lap beside Ngoro. "You wanted to know when Jurusi and I sleep? I'm going to join him in our bed right now. You may take my watch."
Lucy watched her sister stride swift and elegantly from the room, then glanced down at her niece and nephew. Ngoro and Alfred met her gaze with wide, curious eyes, before Ngoro turned back to the window and Alfred smacked his hands on Lucy's shoulder, making tiny noises with each touch.
Perhaps it was asking too much to find a simple answer that would keep these two small lives safe as Lucy herself had never been, save for a month of peace snatched here and there from the swirl of duty and chaos.
Even so, she could do no less than try.
---------------------------------------------
End of Fic
---------------------------------------------
Miscellaneous worldbuilding notes! In this AU, I am assuming the Pevensies are still interested in international alliances -- probably moreso since the whole Rabadash incident -- and this has resulted in Susan marrying a relative of the royal house of Kutu (the country south of Calormen) while Edmund has married a princess from Telmar. I am unsure about Peter, and as for Lucy, she's eventually going to go on a sailing adventure to the uttermost east and run into a suspiciously familiar Sea-Woman because if I'm already going AU, why not shove in the Lucy ship of my heart? *waves tiny Lucy/Sea-Girl flag*

Know Your Roots: The Impact of Historical Knowledge in Sankofa (1993)
Tumblr media
Essay analysis under the cut!
Depicted by a bird facing backwards with its feet facing forward, Sankofa is a word from the Twi language which originated in Ghana, and means “it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind”. The 1993 film directed by Haile Gerima is therefore aptly named as it stresses the importance of consulting one’s past while still moving forward and progressing. Furthermore, it demonstrates the difference it makes in someone’s life when they are aware of their roots and who they are like Shango, versus when they are ignorant or have believed the words of someone else as is the case of Joe. This shifting is presented in the lives of Mona-as-Shola as she moves from a Joe-like mentality to one similar to Shango’s.
Mona, an American model is taking photos in Ghana at the Cape Coast Castle when she is accosted by Sankofa, the ‘self-appointed’ protector of the land there, and eventually entranced and surrounded by African men within the dungeons of the slave castle. She attempts to escape, is caught by the guards despite her cries, is branded with a hot iron and is mystically transported into the mind and body of a slave woman Shola. It is assumed that Sankofa initialises the trance as the divine drummer who is in charge of directing the African spirits back home, as he is deeply disturbed that Mona is not aware of her roots.
In continuation, Sankofa appeared disgusted by her performance for the white man’s gaze, which is symbolised by the cameras which he holds. The misleading sexual responses and sounds that the photographer makes could be seen as the 21st-century version of the rape that Mona-as-Shola experiences. Mona’s lack of connection with her African roots is further highlighted when she hides and covers herself behind the cameraman, which shows how eclipsed she has become by white American society. Also, her dressing up in African print is essentially the same as putting on a costume for her; her only connection to Africa is superficial, temporary, and ultimately easily discarded. Upon her capture by the white guards at the slave castle, she appeals to them to let her go because she “is an American, not an African”. This type of disregard and denouncing is the reason that Sankofa continuously yells to her to go “back to [her] past”, and “return to [her] source”.
In a similar manner, Joe also does not recognise his African roots. A product of rape who has become a head slave, Joe’s deep attachment to the teachings of Father Raphael had caused him to shun and mistreat his mother Nunu, as well as his fellow slaves. Father Raphael teaches that the Africans on the plantation, including his own mother are worshippers of the devil and that he must not associate with them. This is the reasoning that led to Joe eventually killing Nunu in the river as she tried to comfort him. Interestingly, when Joe carries his mother’s body into the sanctuary, the Christian paintings of white women holding their babies seem to be watching them and again when Joe kills the priest for disrespecting his mother. They bear witness to him learning and accepting who he and his mother are, and what he loses in the process of this understanding.
Furthermore, this racist and eurocentric religious privileging is also the root of Shola’s whipping by the slavemaster which Joe witnesses, as they think she’s become possessed as well after she tries to run away from the plantation. Arguably, this is where Shola’s rebelliousness begins to shine as a result of the Sankofa bird necklace that Shango gave her after said whipping. This can be seen as the effect of understanding one’s past in order to further understand one’s self, as the message behind the Sankofa dictates.
This is in alignment with the ideals of Shola’s eventual lover, Shango, the West Indian (Jamaican) slave who was always seen as a trouble-maker. He has always demonstrated knowledge of who he is, and what is important to him and this knowledge has given him the means to firmly follow his ideals as he is always talking about escaping with his fellow slaves, and he tries to help whatever slaves he sees in trouble as the audience sees with Kutu and Shola. Two different attitudes to slavery are presented in early-Shola and in Shango; Shango has more of an aggressive and militant approach which, in his mind, culminates in him gaining his freedom whereas Shola is a pacifist who implored him to “just act right”.
However, Shango helped her to change this mindset as she began to realise that the things that she believed were not going to help her, her situation, and that of those around her. One such example is her faith. Where the other slaves like Nunu, Noble Ali and Shango have some connection to their African gods, the house slaves Joe, Lucy and Shola all prefer Catholicism. Shola in particular, experienced some doubt about her situation when the Father told her to keep praying but she realised that “the more [she] prayed, the meaner Massa got” and she eventually stopped praying altogether. This is not to say that Shola embraced the African gods either, however, she viewed it with less prejudice and disdain. The other clear example of Shola changing from who she was, is her progression from not wanting to poison the headmaster, into killing him. While running away from his dead body, she described being taken “up, up and up” by a buzzard, and the scenery suggests that she is being taken to Africa as there are pyramids present. This is representative of Mona-as-Shola embracing the understanding she now has of history, and ‘returning’ to Africa.
This is further expressed in Mona returning to Cape Coast Castle as herself and being told “my child, welcome back” by a woman as a Sankofa bird is shown again. It is also seen when Mona makes the decision to walk past the white photographer, and towards Sankofa’s drumming which captivates her now that she is more closely linked with her roots.
In view of the foregoing, Sankofa reminds its audience that knowledge of the past is key in moving forward, and progressing from stagnancy and ignorance. While the audience does not know if Mona has become a better person due to her experience, it is clear that she has more respect for the land of Cape Coast Castle and the lives that were lost there. She makes the choice to leave the carefree side of American society behind and instead looks forward.

Main tak pakai kasut, kaki kanak-kanak dijangkiti parasit
Tumblr media
Akibat bermain tanpa memakai kasut di ladang babi, seorang kanak-kanak perempuan berusia 10 tahun dihinggapi jangkitan yang mengerikan di tapak kakinya.
Memetik Jurnal Perubatan New England, kaki mangsa dijangkiti parasit 'tunga penetrans' selama 10 hari sehingga menyebabkan radang kulit.
