Okay soo I'm genuinely curious... if I started posting my writing on here would y'all be interested in reading it? I'm finally getting back into the flow of it after a long break and I feel like sharing it with people. HOWEVER, I must make it known that none of it is fanfiction (for now at least).

I've just always loved writing stories, like literally since I was 7 and I'm genuinely curious about what others might think of my work. I took a break because I was really slammed with other projects *cries in art school student* but yeah I kinda wanna try it out! All of the stories are fiction, but they are sometimes based on real experiences I've had/the experiences of people I know. The story I'm currently working on is about a high school senior with a need for academic validation and kinda documents all the struggles/experiences she has that come along with it. Indianapolis 500 1950: not a grand prix, but #3 in Formula 1 history

In the 50's with the newborn Formula 1 championship there was an attempt to make the European and American racing closer to each others, with the Indy 500 being included in the Formula 1 championship other than the American championship. Basically it was a part of two different series, with only drivers and teams from the American series to enter it.

Not very much of the race, which took place on 30th May, is reported by current sources and it turns like that:

- many many many entrants attempted to qualify, with 33 qualifiers (which is the usual at Indy) and around 30+ non qualifiers, one of whom was future winner Bill Vukovich;

- rookie Walter Faulkner scored pole for Kurtis Kraft at his first attempt but didn't manage to lead a single lap, finishing the race in 7th place;

- the race lasted 138 laps instead of the canon 200 being redflagged for rain;

- winner Johnnie Parsons, also with Kurtis Kraft, started 8th, was the driver who led the most with 2nd and 3rd placed the only other two drivers who led some laps, Bill Holland and Mauri Rose, who had won the 1949 event and the 1947+48;

- according to some rumours, Parsons' car engine couldn't make all the 200 laps so he tried to get the prize money for the most laps led by knowing he couldn't last 200 laps, but apparently it was fake;

- also, some gossip, 12th place finisher Duane Carter was married to Parson's ex wife Azra.

The most important part of my life is being a poet or a writer. It's been a decade since I started writing, and professionally, it's been two years. My poetry and stories revolve around different and unique topics like mental health, family dynamics, feminism, societal norms and culture, romance, life intricacies, friendship, etc. I love being a poet and telling people stories about me and the world because I believe poetry is everywhere. Not much of a reader, but I like reading poetry by Sylvia Plath and more female writers.

💌 Movies and songs? I am a die-hard fan of Bollywood. I listen to 2000s Bollywood and retro songs. No one can challenge me the way I vibe on these songs and dance. My childhood is memorable because of Sunidhi Chauhan, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, RD Burman, Asha Bhosle, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Arijit Singh, and many more artists. I also listen to Kpop, pop, indie type of music on days when I am dissociating at the fullest. Hold my clutcher, I am a Swiftie and Lana Del Rey fan too, bitch.

I love Bollywood movies, and I am yet to discover more Western movies. I have a bunch of comfort movies like Ye Jawani Hai Dewaani, Piku, Om Shaanti Om, etc.

🪕 My aesthetic type? A combination of Geet and Piku and a little bit of Poo vibe sometimes. But I love desi clothes. Kurti, jhumkas, bindi, bangles, oh god I love being a woman.

What kind of music do you usually listen to when you draw?

the sound... of my friends' company !!!

nah but fr USUALLY when i'm drawing, i'm in a voice call with friends and we do quiet parallel play while i stream videos as background noise. videos can be random tv shows, movies (usually horror), commentary comedians (kurtis conner, danny gonzalez) or lets plays (vinny vinesauce or manlybadasshero). lately we just binged through all of breaking bad and better call saul.

if i'm feeling tunes instead, i lean towards indie or electronic (jack stauber, drive45, metaroom, half alive, idkhow, red vox, mili, autoheart, left at london, etc) though honestly i like a bit of everything and leave spotify to shuffle through other songs so i can find new things to add to oc playlists.
