I recently saw this post about how originally for summer nights Kurt was written into the boys scene and Chris Colfer had to call rm and be like.. no? Why would he be there? He’s be hanging out with the girls,, who are his friends? To get it changed and idk I feel like at some point in season 3 glee kinda was trying to switch the narrative so that it wasn’t cool for a guy to be super close with the girls and that he has to be one of the boys and learn masculinity or wtv and it pisses me off so much. Glee writers deciding that actually being feminine isn’t cool is my mortal enemy

I think they might have tried to backtrack on Kurt's track record of choosing the girls over guys but like, honestly, glad that wasn't successful and Chris was like "not on my watch". Blaine was a default hanging with the guys ch anyway. And I guess there are layers to that but I'm just glad Kurt continued hanging with the girls.

This reminds me of people who consider Kurt to be bad gay re because he was feminine, and obviously everything they say is invalid because that's their opening argument. But I also sometimes see people complain that Kurt was hanging with the girls and wanted to be part of those group numbers, and that's such a wild take. Why the hell should he not? Not only did he feel safer and more comfortable whereas the guys further contributed to him feeling alienated such as in 2x06, but also the girls' numbers routinely slapped so much more. Hell if I were Kurt I'd wanna be with the winning team too. What, should he have missed out on Bad Romance? Please, none of the guys' group numbers even deserve to breathe the same air.

Thanks to what you write I have developed an ill-advised affection for little blue elves, they are too cute not to love! I absolutely blame you for my newfound love for blue babies, buddy.

I was thinking, we don't have much bamfs content and I like when they write Kurt as a father. So, killing two birds with one stone, I wanted to ask a little about how bamfs would act when faced with a pregnancy, if it's not a bother. I think those little blue ones would be very helpful or try to be, they're pretty <3

Totally understandable, those blue babies are adorable <3 I've written a lot of pregnancy stuff lately and have a handful of requests for the topic still, so I'll just add some hcs here for you💙

The bamfs would be so curious, like little animals. How dogs and cats can sense pregnancy and are curious about bellies, they'd be the same. They'd come close and let their tiny hands touch your belly, blinking with wide eyes.

I can see a bamf sleeping on your belly too, curled up and wanting to keep your belly warm with their small fuzzy body. They like listening to your baby in there, seeking out to comfort it.

They would do their best to be helpful too, fetching you water or teleporting snacks to you. They don't know the complications of dieting or anything, so they learn what to bring you upon request.

They display protective behavior too. Those videos about dogs/cats growling at the father or other family members trying to touch the pregnant belly? Yeah. Imagine that but Kurt and the bamfs.

Showering is exhausting, imagine a bamf sitting on your shoulders and scrubbing shampoo in your hair so you don't have to lift your arms.

Bamfs 100% knead too. It feels so nice on those sore muscles you have.

I think they'd be just as concerned about you as Kurt, and they'd be so relieved when you come home with the baby. They'd peek over the carrier to try to get a look at your baby, their yellow eyes blinking as they look at the bundle wrapped in blankets.

They'd be so careful and tender. Even during your recovery, they would be gentle with you and careful not to hurt you if they jumped up on the couch/bed to be beside you.

Kurt is relieved, the bamfs are treating you so well and he couldn't be happier. It also gives him the chance to leave you for groceries or to do chores that you can't, since he knows the bamfs will get you what you need.

Tbh I kinda think that S1 Kuinn scene was okay? He was giving her a backhanded compliment. Sure, he previously dismissed her as a dumb blonde before and that was shitty, but in giffed scene he implicitly admitted that she's anything but that, which is probably why she smiled.

(That being said, Kurt's behavior in that 3x14 scene is indeed terrible and a better example of wlw/mlm hostility imo lol)

I'm sending this mostly bc I miss S1 Kurt. He was so confident and witty and yeah he could be snarky and snappy and noticeably flawed, but that was part of his appeal (what can I say, I love mean characters lmao). In later seasons he became too nice (aka kinda boring) and his storylines were always tied to Blaine and/or Rachel, which was annoying to me bc I wanted to see more of Kurt in his own right. I wonder if you relate to any of this?

Idk I just don't vibe with Kurt's casual misogyny in season 1, like I don't think it's cute in any way and I'm glad it doesn't become A Thing. I don't hate him for it or anything I just think it's eyeroll worthy.

They both suck cause the writing sucks in 3x14 lol and unfortunately it does indeed become an example of wlw mlm hostility. Ironically an aspect of the scene is that Quinn represents the PoV ignorant to queer struggles but come on. Quinn is wlw to me and RIB can pry that from y dead cold hands.

In general I find s1 Kurt interesting and wish his flaws as demonstrated there would have remained throughout. I agree that it was part of his appeal and as much as the Quinn stuff annoys me, I did like the overall portrayal and find fans often forget about s1 Kurt. I like that Kurt is fundamentally a very kind person but he didn't need to be so nice, you know? So yeah I can relate. I do think that Kurt is still much better off than many other chs in terms of still having his own stuff to do but was still overshadowed by Rachel often or handled as part of Klaine rather than his own ch. And relationships are good and Kurt is again a lucky ch in how his were explored, Hummelberry and Kaline are two of the show's strongest, but it did at times come at his expense. As an individual, that is. But you could maybe argue that serving Finn's story came at the expense of Kurt's s1 story at times too, so. All that said yeah, I do relate.

Another goody idea I had is that Logan is annoyed with Kurt (or whatever reason lol) so Logan yoinks him up by his tail and Kurt is shocked by Logan’s audacity.
