I also worked on the booster pack ROMANCE DAWN, and I'm grateful that it's now OK to publish it, so I'll post it.

Au where Kanjuro is the human/Three-eye hybrid like Charlotte Pudding.

The idea was formed after I couldn't help but find Kanjuro and Pudding similar together(except Pudding reforms and Kanjuro didn't) and Kanjuro covering his forehead with his bangs.

Warning: may contain bullying, discrimination, depression, mental illness and suicidal themes...

One of his parents is a member of the Three-Eye Tribe who drifted to Wano country and later married a member of the Kurozumi family where they started a theatre troupe.

They then go on to have Kanjuro who inherited one of his parents’s third eye.

While Kanjuro enjoys acting with his loving parents, he unfortunately faces bullying from those who finds his third eye disgusting(similar to Pudding’s sad childhood). Only his parents protected him from discrimination and one of them(most likely the Three-eye member) comforted Kanjuro by telling him his third eye was beautiful no matter what. Sadly, they soon died being killed onstage and can no longer protect Kanjuro from being discriminated for his third eye.

With his parents dead and having no one to defend him, Kanjuro was left homeless and depressed, drifting away into the streets where he was shunned and hated by everyone he came across.

The ostracization got worse. Some refused to give him shelter. Some refused to hire him. Some like to beat up his third eye(by punching, hitting, kicking or throwing rocks at him). To make it worse, some try to kill him, believing him to be some kind of Three-eye Youkai.

Many began calling him horrible names like "weird Youkai", "freakish Oni" and most of all, "hideous three-eyed monster".

It got so bad that Kanjuro snapped and decided to end his miserable life as a three-eyed outcast by attempting to throw himself off the bridge, hoping to join his parents in the afterlife. Only to be stopped when Orochi, Higurashi, and Semimaru found him.

They revealed themselves to be his relatives and had killed the murderers of Kanjuro's parents. They offered him to work for them, promising they would love and accept him as their own despite his third eye. Kanjuro gladly accepted the offer and became Orochi's most loyal follower.

Because they never bullied, mocked or ostracised him for his third eye, Kanjuro believed they were the only ones(besides his dead parents) who accepted him for who he was which increased his loyalty towards Orochi. Or that's what he thought. In reality, Orochi never cared for him and actually finds Kanjuro's third eye ugly and creepy. He only hides his disgust towards his third eye just to earn his trust.

When Kanjuro was given a mission to spy on Oden and live as a Kozuki member, Orochi instructed him to conceal his third eye with a bandanna to pass off as a normal human. He told Kanjuro the reason he had to disguise himself as a human was because nobody except the Kurozumi family would ever accept a three-eyed freak like him.

During his stay as Orochi's spy and playing the role of one of Oden's faithful retainers over the years, Kanjuro carefully kept his third eye a secret from everyone. When his bangs later grew out, he used them to hide his third eye better.

When he revealed his true colours as the traitor by abducting Momonosuke, he removed his bandana and revealed his third eye to everyone, expecting them to cruelly mock him for his third eye...

when i was reading wano, the arc was almost reaching its end, so it was quite enjoyable (sorry to the people who have been reading weekly ever since it started. you're stronger than us marines) and it left me with a lot of questions and interesting theories such as:

blackbeard is a descendant of the kurozumi

SOUNDS INSANE BUT LISTEN during the wb vs roger chapter, we see shanks and buggy talking about young bb

i got hooked on that detail like why would oda make a point of it? especially on a chapter with big figures on their prime: whitebeard, roger, oden, rayleigh and, maybe, marco. then we jump to oden's execution and orochi's grudge when he says

and i know that you're thinking sleep isn't enough to pinpoint a connection between these two but i have another "coincidence" to mention.

higurashi had the mane mane no mi, which was later eaten by bon clay, and semimaru had the bari bari no mi, which was later eaten by bartolomeo. we all know that after a devil fruit user dies their power reappears somewhere, it's a fact. but what else needed the death of the current user to make the power pass on? blackbeard's yami yami no mi, the power to cover everything in darkness and make a person helpless just like death, something vicious that crawls its way to victory like a traitor, something that was used to take down a powerful figure who was the leader of a group of warriors and the protector of a hidden land, whitebeard, but it could also be oden who was betrayed by someone on his side that wasn't close to him but used their connection to get what they wanted and tried to destroy the place they cherished the most.

but if wano's borders were never opened before, how would blackbeard, someone from the grand line, be a kurozumi? i have another crazy theory to answer this question and it's about toki.

toki comes from the void century and one of the daimyo families that served the kozuki, but she's never been to wano before meeting oden and she jumped into the future everytime she was in danger.

we know wano closed its borders to protect something within the country during the void century which means that toki's parents could be outside during the conflict that made the country isolate itself or they were given a mission that could only be accomplished by being outside such as spreading the poneglyphs around the world or carrying information about pluto. but both are way too important and dangerous jobs to be carried by one clan so they could've been entrusted to the five daimyo families who were trapped outside of wano after its isolation was complete and they were persecuted by the world government for knowing the truth — a reason for toki to keep jumping into the future until she found a time when the people of wano weren't considered criminals or a way to get to the country's riches.

so if the five families were targets, they needed to hide and what's the best way to hide yourself from the world than changing your name? marshall d. teach can be a descendant of the kurozumi from the void century who gave up on their name to survive.

but what about the other three (fugetsu, uzuki, shimotsuki)? we know kozaburo left wano illegally 55 years ago, so all i could guess was that these three families died running away from the wg because they are prideful people of wano and would never give up on their clan's name. toki only survived because of her devil fruit and the kurozumi survived by leaving their pride behind because they've never been like the other clans, that's why they're the only ones whose surname doesn't contain the kanji for "moon", because they're ready to do anything to survive and stand at the top.

also, kurozumi means "black charcoal" and easily relates do teach's epithet "blackbeard" and his devil fruit that engulfs things into the darkness like charcoal paints things in black.

One Piece Chapter 969 - Initial Thoughts

Spoilers for Chapter 969, read first then look

So chapter 969 continues and surprisingly it’s not the final chapter of Oden’s journey, I guess they wanted a nice round number to do it, but the general stuff - That guitar guy had to step in from the background didn’t he? We knew they were Kurozumis, but Semimaru having Barto’s DF!? I think I would’ve preferred Orochi just being the Old Hag though - Speaking of whom, Kurozumi Higurashi trying to lay it in thick, subtext being that they murdered Oden’s dad as well - Orochi likes to talk big when there’s an unbreakable barrier between them huh? But we know that Higurashi and Semimaru are not alive anymore, so his confidence likely dipped from that - The poison arrows have to be important, why bring attention to it? Was it Queen, is Toki slowly dying of poison? - But then the aftermath, I think that’s Shinobu spying who knows the deal made but still. With Noland he was humiliated posthumously but Oden had it much worse, he had to agree to destroy his reputation, the faith in the people and overall his image for a reason we don’t even know! That’s probably what I hate about this turn, not that it’s happened because I know we’re meant to dislike it, I don’t like that there’s a threat of never knowing - I’m surprised a foreign newspaper even made it to Wano, the fact that Oden laughed with Roger’s death is a testament to the greater plan Roger has, so knowing this must have lit something in Oden - Young Moria didn’t look so bad, and if the fight was in Ringo then Moria must have been Kaido’s friend or at least a subordinate. I mean, a Gecko is a beast after all. Another reminder of Moria too, I still feel like he may be a part of the present day Wano - Hyo’s wife seems nice, till she died...is there a point to that though? Maybe she didn’t die, I mean Hyo survived after all, One Piece’s standards of survival is either very easy or bastard difficult - What boat? ...can’t be Pluton...right? - Honestly, I’m surprised it took 5 years to snap; his wife was shot, his children targeted, his fellow daimyo slaughtered and now his friend and his wife presumably dead, it kinda feels like every year he held back was a year Kaido and Orochi were better prepared for him - And we end with the hero shot, Denjiro and Shuntenmaru back from their undisclosed journeying. And how they got their name as the nine red scabbards So what’s next? I’m going to guess that shit’s about to be teared up. Higurashi and Semimaru will hopefully be slain so to respawn their DFs (Bon Clay and Barto though, like 2 of the top 3 of Luffy’s non-Straw Hat Biggest Fans having DF roots in Wano, suspicious no?), Orochi will just about escape, we’ll see what divided Inuirashi and Nekomamushi, Kaido’s scarring and sadly Oden’s death. I have been thinking about that, they say he was ‘boiled’ right? But what if it wasn’t in water? We already saw that the Mummy virus burns your flesh, what if Oden died with a monstrous amount of exposure to poison, it’d explain the poison arrows. The most important thing I’m hoping for is more word on Toki’s prophecy, we haven’t really seen her do any fortunetelling so was it just a story, a fake curse or is there actually weight to it? Oden’s journey will end bitter like Noland’s did but I am ready to actually pick up with Act 3 in the present day, but still - even with a 5 Act Kabuki structure it feels like there’s still so much needed to be pit into this arc, and we’re not that far from Chapter 1000 Big things are coming ahead

Ada aturan menarik untuk Buah Iblis di One Piece: bila pengguna kekuatan satu buah mati, maka buah tersebut akan muncul lagi di suatu tempat di dunia.

Jadi bila misalnya seorang pengguna Mera Mera no Mi terbunuh, maka orang lain akan dapat kesempatan menjadi pengguna kekuatan api tersebut. Apa saja sih Buah Iblis di One Piece yang kekuatannya berganti pemilik? Ada enam yang sudah diketahui!

1. Mera Mera no Mi, dari dimiliki Ace jadi dimiliki Sabo

Ini sih jelas. Ace mati di Marineford. Lalu setelah Mera Mera no Mi muncul, buah itu diambil kelompok Doflamingo dan dijadikan hadiah untuk turnamen di colosseum Dressrosa.

Sabo berhasil mengamankan buah itu dan menjadi manusia api terbaru.

Seharusnya, setelah seorang pengguna Buah Iblis mati, maka buah itu akan muncul di wilayah lain. Tapi Teach mengetahui cara untuk memperoleh Buah Iblis langsung dari jasad sosok yang telah mati.

Ia pertama menunjukkan ini di Marineford. Teach melakukan sesuatu kepada jasad Whitebeard, hingga Teach langsung bisa memperoleh kekuatan gempa dari Gura Gura no Mi.

3. Suke Suke no Mi, dari dimiliki Absalom jadi dimiliki Shiryu

Kejadian di Marineford pun bukan kali terakhir Teach bisa mengamankan Buah Iblis di One Piece dari penggunanya yang telah mati. Sebelum babak kedua Wano dimulai, terungkap kalau kelompok Blackbeard ternyata telah membunuh Absalom si pengguna Suke Suke no Mi.

Kekuatan menghilang dari Suke Suke no Mi pun berpindah ke Shiryu, si ahli pedang yang sadis.

4. Soru Soru no Mi, dari dimiliki Carmel jadi dimiliki Big Mom

Di masa lalu, saat Charlotte Linlin kecil sedang menikmati hidangan besar, tiba-tiba saja teman-temannya serta Carmel yang seharusnya berada di sekelilingnya menghilang. Apa yang terjadi? Awalnya sih diduga kalau Linlin memakan mereka semua, tapi jawaban pastinya belum terkuak.

Yang jelas, setelah kejadian itu kekuatan manipulasi jiwa Carmel kini dimiliki oleh Linlin. Linlin pun bisa menggunakannya dengan lebih kuat dari Carmel.

Di One Piece 965, terungkap kalau Kurozumi Orochi bisa menjadi shogun karena dia dibimbing oleh seorang wanita tua misterius. Wanita tua ini terungkap sebagai pemilik Mane Mane no Mi, dan namanya adalah Kurozumi Higurashi.

Dengan Mane Mane no Mi, si wanita tua bisa menyamar menjadi Kozuki Sukiyaki, yang menetapkan Orochi sebagai shogun pengganti sementara.

Apa yang terjadi kepada wanita tua itu setelahnya? Ini masih misteri, tapi berhubung Mr. 2 sudah memiliki Mane Mane no Mi, wanita tua itu seharusnya sudah mati.

Bari Bari no Mi tadinya dimiliki oleh pria bernama Kurozumi Semimaru dari klan Kurozumi. Kekuatan ini digunakan untuk melindungi Orochi dari tebasan Oden yang mengamuk.

Belum diketahui gimana nasib Semimaru kemudian, namun mengingat sekarang Bari Bari no Mi dimiliki oleh Bartolomeo, tampaknya Semimaru sudah ditakdirkan akan mati di masa lalu.

14. Buggy

Walau Buggy memang lemah, mari jangan kesampingkan Bara Bara no Mi.

Bahkan Yoru, pedang hitam milik Mihawk, pun tidak bisa memotong Buggy. Itu berarti Bara Bara no Mi memang memberi proteksi total pada serangan bertipe tebasan.

Sayangnya, saya sih merasa Buggy sejauh ini belum memaksimalkan Buah Iblisnya sendiri.

13. Daz Bones

Di urutan kesepuluh pemakan Buah Iblis dengan kemampuan pertahanan terbaik adalah Daz Bones atau Mr.1.

Kalau dari peringkat dalam organisasi, Daz Bones merupakan pria terkuat kedua dalam organisasi kriminal Baroque Works setelah Crocodile.

Daz Bones masuk ke daftar ini karena tubuhnya hampir mustahil dilukai oleh senjata tajam. Kamu harus bisa memotong baja, atau memahami Haki, untuk bisa mengalahkan Daz Bones dengan mudah.

12. Basil Hawkins

Dengan kemampuan Buah Iblis milik Hawkins, ia dapat membuat boneka tumbal yang digunakan sebagai pertahanan tubuhnya. Boneka tumbal harus memiliki rambut dari seseorang yang ingin dijadikan tumbal. Dengan rambut tersebut yang ditanamkan ke boneka jerami miliknya, ia dapat memindahkan luka miliknya ke boneka tumbal tersebut, akibatnya orang yang memiliki rambut ditanamkan ke boneka akan menerima luka dari Basil Hawkins.

Tentu saja, Hawkins pun jadi sulit untuk dijatuhkan. Misalnya di Wano, saat melawan Zoro. Hawkins sebenarnya sudah menerima dua luka yang berpotensi fatal dari serangan Zoro, yang kedua saat Zoro menebas manusia jerami buatan Hawkins.

Namun karena Hawkins masih punya tumbal, dia pun bisa bertahan.

11. Pica

Selanjutnya adalah salah satu dari tiga eksekutif utama di keluarga Donquixote yang juga memiliki suara yang sangat unik, Pica. Ia merupakan salah satu anggota terkuat di keluarga Donquixote sekaligus pemilik kursi Spade.

Pica memiliki kemampuan Buah Iblis Ishi Ishi no Mi yang membuatnya menjadi manusia batu. Dengan kemampuan buah tersebut, Pica dapat menjadi raksasa besar dengan mengumpulkan batu yang ada di sekitarnya. Ia bahkan bisa mengubah bentuk suatu wilayah dengan kemampuan miliknya ini.

Seperti yang dialami oleh Zoro, mengatasi Pica mungkin tidak sulit kalau seorang petarung dapat menemukan tubuh asli Pica. Masalahnya Pica bisa berpindah dengan mudah dari satu batu ke batu lain. Ini membuat pertarungan jadi lebih panjang dari seharusnya.

10. Charlotte Cracker

Charlotte Cracker merupakan anak kesepuluh Big Mom sekaligus salah satu dari 3 Sweet Commander bajak laut Big Mom. Cracker memiliki kemampuan buah setan Bisu Bisu no Mi yang membuatnya dapat mengeluarkan biskuit dengan menepuk tangannya.

Jangan remehkan kemampuan biskuit miliknya ini, pasalnya dengan kemampuan Buah Iblis dan Haki miliknya ia dapat membuat tentara biskuit yang memiliki pertahan yang sangat kuat. Bahkan Luffy harus mengeluarkan Gear 4 untuk menghancurkan tubuh biskuit miliknya.

Bahkan yang lebih hebatnya lagi, wajah Cracker belum pernah dilihat oleh orang lain diluar dari keluarganya. Poster buronan miliknya pun hanya memiliki wajah dari biskuit baja miliknya.

9. Monkey D. Luffy

Gomu Gomu no Mi menawarkan banyak perlindungan.

Sebelum Luffy memperkuat dirinya dengan Haki pun Gomu Gomu no Mi sudah memberi pertahanan ekstra dari tonjokan, pukulan benda tumpul, dan tembakan senjata api berpeluru bola yang awamnya digunakan di One Piece.

Buah ini juga memiliki ketahanan ekstra pada petir. Mau petir Enel mau petir Big Mom gagal menghentikan Luffy.

Kalau begitu kenapa Luffy hanya nomor sembilan? Karena proteksi dari Gomu Gomu no Mi sebagian besar dapat diatasi dengan Haki. Sementara itu nama-nama di atas ini memiliki cara alternatif untuk menghadapi musuh yang punya Haki, atau bahkan dengan Haki pun mereka tetap sulit dikalahkan.

8. Magellan

Magellan memiliki kemampuan Buah Iblis bertipe Paramecia Doku Doku no Mi yang membuatnya menjadi manusia racun. Dengan kemampuannya tersebut ia dapat mengeluarkan racun dari dalam tubuhnya, racun miliknya tersebut sangatlah beracun bahkan menyentuh racunnya sedikit saja dapat berakibat fatal.

Kemampuan lain yang dimiliki oleh Magellan adalah ia dapat membuat baju tempur racun. Baju tempur miliknya ini memiliki ketahanan yang sangat kuat, bahkan dapat menyebabkan orang yang di dekatnya atau yang menyetuhnya akan mati keracunan.

Cara terbaik untuk mengatasi Magellan adalah kalau musuhnya memiliki kemampuan mematikan efek Buah Iblis. Kalau tidak, meski sudah berlapis Haki sekalipun menyerang Magellan tetap berbahaya.

7. Jozu

Selanjutnya adalah kapten Divis Ketiga dari bajak laut Whitebeard, Jozu. Ia memiliki tubuh yang besar dan kekuatan yang sangat hebat, ia bahkan dapat mengangkat bongkahan es yang sangat besar dengan tubuh miliknya.

Jozu memiliki kemampuan Buah Iblis Paramecia yang membuatnya menjadi manusia berlian. Seperti yang kita ketahui berlian merupakan benda dengan ketahanan terkuat yang ada di dunia.

Jozu bahkan bisa menahan dan menghentikan serangan pedang milik Mihawk yang dapat membelah gunung es.

6. Ulti, dan kebanyakan pemakan Ancient Zoan

Semua pemakan Buah Iblis Zoan mendapat peningkatan kekuatan dan ketangguhan fisik.

Nah, itu baru Zoan reguler. Kalau Ancient Zoan, peningkatan kekuatannya jadi lebih dahsyat lagi.

Untuk Ulti ini kita sudah melihat dia disetrum Nami dan dihajar Raimei Hakke oleh Yamato, namun ia tetap bisa bangkit terus.

5. Bartholomew Kuma

Kuma memiliki kemampuan Buah Iblis Nikyu Nikyu no Mi yang membuat telapak tangannya berbentuk telapak kaki hewan. Dengan telapak tangan miliknya ini ia dapat memantulkan apa saja yang ia sentuh termasuk udara sekalipun. Bahkan serangan yang kuat sekalipun dapat dipantulkan dengan telapak tangan miliknya ini.
