When it come to Actor/Show Au's I always wondered: how exactly do people do it? Like, I get the concept, and I fuck with I do, and I love it sm, but I never got it. Do the actors happen to have the same name as the characters, or do the "characters" have different names?

Like, does the character as the actor (in the show/movie/anime) have the SAME NAME as the character they are playing in the AU. Or does the character in the AU have a different name than the actor?

I never knew which one worked better.

My Kuroshitsuji AU

This started because I wanted to write something else. All this was supposed to be the introduction. But it is too long, so take this for now.

Spoiler for well, all kuroshitsuji manga.

Important premise: the fire didn't happen/it happened but the Phantomhive survived (sorry servants). R!Ciel is not a sociopath as he may be now as a bizzare doll, what we saw when he was a child was a slightly obsessive brother that wanted to stay with his twin, for this AU he just grew up and maintained a couple of those traits. Sebastian also isn't here.

The twins life at Weston!

Since it's a happy AU (mostly), the twins just get enrolled to Weston, where they both go to Sapphire Owl.

Lawrence takes a like on both of them, tho he is more comfortable with O!Ciel since he is less mischievious.

R!Ciel may affectionally bully O!Ciel and Lawrence would defend him, projecting on him a little.

R!Ciel then actively starts a fight against Lawrence when he sees them bonding a little too much.

"Leave my brother alone, if you want a younger brother ask your parents. This is mine" and proceed to stalk them both.

Edward has to come and stop him as the older cousin. It didn't work, but R!Ciel did decide to slow his obsession down a little.

R!Ciel also absolutely despises McMillan, at first. But since he is always with O!Ciel, he can't do anything about it but suffer in silence. After a while McMillan shows that he is extremely good at getting information so he starts to warm up to him a little.

O!Ciel is better at fags/drudges activities so he is noticed by the P4, and R!Ciel is extremely pleased and runs around showing off his little brother.

Then Maurice tricks O!Ciel and R!Ciel gets furious at him. He tried to defend him with the other students but since they are twins they don't trust him.

When he overhears the night conversation between O!Ciel and McMillan, McMillan finally earned his seal of approval. From the next day R!Ciel treats him almost like he treats O!Ciel and he doesn't know why but accepts gladly the change of pace.

Later, thanks to Soma, the twins discover about Maurice plan and together bring it down with the same plan as in the manga (tho they had to do the work instead of just using Sebastian, so it took a little longer).

When Maurice tried to harm O!Ciel, R!Ciel joined Herman and Edward in running to the rescue. He checked his brother, ignoring Maurice completely.

The day after they exposed the truth, R!Ciel went home for the day for "personal business". Some days after Maurice was "so embarrassed that his real look's was reveal that decided to quit school and went to hide at home". No one ever saw him again.

O!Ciel tried to ask about the sudden disappearance to R!Ciel but he just smiled and said he had no idea what he was talking about. They are both very good actors.

No one mention it again, but all the students are now slightly scared of R!Ciel. McMillan thanks God that he somehow ended up on his good side.

After this, they both get to join the cricket team because they showed how to be smart and quick-witted.

They also both train very hard, R!Ciel has an easier life adapting and improving on the physical aspect, while O!Ciel relies more on strategy and mental play.

When the tournament comes, it happens with the same strategies. Vincent is in the spectators seats and he is trying his best not to laugh too loudly from his seat. He is very proud.

Diederik is also present and he is fuming while watching the matches. He will scold them both later.

Rachel is loudly cheering them both and encouraging them.

R!Ciel can actually make a couple of points in a fair way! It's more luck than anything but he talks about it like they were decisive.

The final strategy of switching the ball was O!Ciel's idea, but he didn't share the part about being hit on purpose by Greenhill with his twin.

When he got hit, R!Ciel froze on the spot, but O!Ciel was focused on the game and went on with the plan.

After he recover from the shock, R!Ciel doesn't let anyone get close to him, almost growling, and somehow brings him to the nurse. Vincent and Rachel follow soon after.

While O!Ciel is being visited, R!Ciel is outside picking a fight with Greenhill who doesn't fight back bevause he feels guilty. Diederik has to stop him.

O!Ciel gets invited to the midnight tea party, he feels guilty about going because R!Ciel can't go. R!Ciel doesn't stop him but follows him until he can because he is worried something may happen.

Nothing happens tho! We are happy here!

No one shuts up about the blue miracle part 2. Vincent can't stop bragging, especially to Diederik. Rachel talks about it to anyone that has ears.

Every year after that, the twins made it a personal goal to win especially to flex about it to Vincent and because they need more material to annoy uncle Diederik. So they spend their free time at school coming up with more complex and wild strategies.

The manual with the rules for cricket became twice its size by the time they graduated, because they had to keep add rules to not make the twins cheat. But they still won for all the years they frequented. After the second year they win, both the twins just annoy Vincent with "What would you know about sport? You only won once"

Do you want more? I have so much more, this arc is my will to live.

We like these two, but not as much as we love Greenviolet; so even though I have nothing against the idea of drawing them together, I haven’t done it, and I don’t know when I’m going to.

I’ve mentioned it just the other day: we’re not in Kuroshitsuji mood right now, and while it could change very suddenly and I might feel the urge to draw our faves from there out of nowhere, the chances of us drawing Redwer are kind of low…

But when we revisit the manga (idk when), I’ll most likely sketch them together at least once – it’s a shame that I haven’t drawn them as a pair even once.

I think Vil would be shocked because Neige must be an amazing actor to pull something like that off – Vil is a good judge of character, and if he didn’t clock him being a fake person, he is genuinely impressive. But Vil would also feel kind of pleased at first, because of course no one is that much of a saint and a good person, and it feels good that the bitch you hate is actually vulgar and unlikeable (subjective and caused by Vil’s own bias lol). But even then, after that first “heh” emotion ends, Vil will likely feel disappointed… I guess he really wanted Neige to really be that good and that innocent deep inside.

But then he’ll learn that Neige is super horny and outspoken about what he would do to Vil’s body, and start avoiding him like a plague lol It will create weird tension between them, that’s for sure. It’s not like Vil can reveal Neige’s secret to anyone either, because he would also get attention like that…

Anon! I’m sorry but I’ll use your ask to note that there is another asks related to this AU, but I can’t post the reply just yet because it requires some context (a comic that we haven’t posted yet). I thank both you and that Anon for your patience and your interest in this AU <3

To answer your question! In terms of benefits, it’s true that Azul has more to gain from their marriage than Idia (Idia is aware of that), but Azul actually makes Idia’s life easier in a lot of ways! He keeps Idia’s human interactions to a minimum and does all the talking for him, he is his representative in every affair that would require Idia to actually go out and communicate with others. Azul organises anything that needs to be organised, he basically does all the thinking for Idia. This is pretty much how Azul pitched this whole thing to Idia: imagine if you didn’t have to think about anything other than doing your thing? Imagine if no one bothered you? Of course, Idia still has stuff to do as the future director of S.T.Y.X., but being with Azul is… comfortable. It’s like Azul always makes sure that Idia’s environment is perfectly conditioned for him.

But in a lot of ways, I think both of them have some feelings for each other. For whatever its worth, Azul gives Idia some comfort. Aside from Ortho, he is probably the closest person to Idia, at least in terms of understanding how each other’s brains work. He knows Azul, he knows his flaws and knows where it is and isn’t safe to trust him. Idia wouldn’t open up completely (Azul wouldn’t either), but hey, if he has to pick someone to spend the rest of his life with while slowly getting tired of each other and starting to feel resentful (funny how Idia views marriage considering his parents seem to love each other), he would rather allow Azul to sign up for that role than someone else. He wouldn’t get any better option than Azul anyway.

Underneath all that rational reasoning could hide the fact that Idia genuinely likes Azul, but doesn’t want to fall in love with him.

Jamil being into powerplay porn feels so right! I sometimes wonder if he would enjoy acting like a brat, if he ever found someone he actually likes and feels comfortable with. I can't really see current Jamil doing it, since he seems like the kind of guy who thinks love and trust are for kids. Azul wouldn't need to have the details explained to him, but he might take the punishment too far a bit too quickly at the first act of disobedience. Also he is physically unable to turn off the smugness (at least with Jamil), even when he's supposed to act stern. At that point it becomes more like humiliation than "disciplining". Jamil can work with that too, it's just not quite what he's looking for.

Meanwhile Kalim wouldn't even understand (You want to be scolded???). It wouldn't even be entirely Kalim's fault, I think Jamil is worse at explaining things to him, and gets embarassed a lot faster than normal. To his credit, Kalim would figure it out on his own eventually (Oh, so it's like acting in a play!), but he still wouldn't be able to put it in practice. Time to ask the Film Research Club for acting tips!

Oh Jamil would make such a wonderful brat, if only he was comfortable enough doing that and had people around him who could handle him lol Both Azul and Kalim are simply horrible!

I agree that Azul would unintentionally turn disciplining into humiliation, and he would always go too far. He prides himself on his self-control, and he is very good at it usually, but it’s Jamil we’re talking about. Azul is just a man… Ironically, I can picture these two having a fling during which they kind of start arguing/aggressively bickering/flirting/fighting, which always leads to them having sex somehow. It’s very raw and unusual for both of them, and Jamil wouldn’t be comfortable admitting that he likes putting up a fight and being unapologetically rude just to get overpowered by Azul. It’s steamy, and it tickles the bratty bone, but like you said, this isn’t exactly that, and Azul’s face is way too punchable for it to be the perfect deal for Jamil.

Film Research club would be SUCH A GOOD HELP for Kalim! It also made me remember how Rook helped him to work on his wolf roar for Halloween, and Kalim ended up being quite good at it. It’s not impossible for him to learn! But it is difficult because scolding Jamil and punishing him feels so weird to poor Kalim :(

As for headcanons, it’s a bit difficult to tell, because there are a lot of characters, and there are a lot of kinks that they may or may not be kind of into but just a little bit. But answering in yes/no manner, yeah that happens a lot! I think you can see it while reading our hc posts about specific kinks. I think I do the “he wouldn’t be into it BUT” thing a lot lol

Actor Au about black butler because I saw one about another random I love... So here goes some ideas.

Sebastians actor originally wanted to do the role of Finny, yes Finny. But he made a better Demon the directors thought.

Ciel was always going to be Ciel Phantomhive but he actually wanted to be Alois.

Ciel does have a twin brother, and they both act as the same character but our Ciel is the main one doing it, Real Ciel is just more of an extra. Ironic lmao.

Sebastian feels weird doing some of his scenes With Ciel because the fan base makes it gross. And Ciel is a child.

Vincent and Rachel are actually The ciels Parents in real life. That's why they look so Similar. They usually watch our Ciel from the back to make sure nothing happens.

Neither Ciel has a British accent in real life neither do their parents.

The servants are all really close with everyone. But they are the ones that mess up lines up most.

Alois and Our Ciel are really close more closer then both brothers and Alois.

Claude and Sebastian are brothers in real life and decided to do the show together.

Madam red is the only one that doesn't have any one related to her in the show.

Grell is still a queen in real life and she is loved by everyone.

Our Ciel brings his character to life that the other actors forget he isn't really Ciel they get caught in the Moment.

Sebastian calls Ciel young master even off Camera to mess around.

Sebastian isn't as serious as everyone thinks he will make Our Ciel laugh in all their scenes, and that's alot of scenes.

Real Ciel and our Ciel are super close and loved to cheer each other on. So it was hard when the twin Arc part had to be shot. And Both ciels didn't want to originally do it.

Bard and finny are second cousins to each other.

Hannah and Claude are married in real life. They fell in love quickly and got married fast.

Luka and Alois are step brothers.

Lizzy and her family are actually related by blood in real life.

Lizzy has a crush on Our Ciel in real life but real Ciel has the crush on Lizzy while our Ciel is in love with Sullivan.

Lizzy and our Ciel laugh in all their scenes and Our Ciel felt bad for fake hitting her so he hugged her afterwards .

Agni and soma are not realated in real life either. They are close friends and have so much fun with each other

Undertaker loves messing with the kids on set and gives them treats in the middle of takes.

Originally in the show Ciel was suppose to die early on and the show was suppose to end but the directors had more ideas and decided against it.

The demon Ciel was just a side show that had nothing to do with plot. It was cut and they showed what they filmed for it.

Sebastian is actually really close with ciel in real life and he will not let either of the twins over work them selves.

Alois got a spin off show with Claude and it only last one season. It wasn't meant to be temporary while Ciel did a movie and the show took a break.

The twins are more known from doing horror movies before black butler when they were little.

Ciel wasn't ten when he started the show he was actually almost 9. He is about 1 hear younger then Ciel. Both twins I mean.

Sebastians actor is 27 when he started and Now he is almost 30.

Not much to say about this one, except I’m not a fan of how Grell looks and I feel really bad for Thomas (the human William had to reap). I don’t feel the point of this story and not sure if it’s close to a canon backstory for the two. I do prefer Will’s look to his current one though.

I like this more than the reaper OVA, but I don’t rewatch it much either. I do like Alois a lot and yet nothing here shows us anything new aside from what the triplets sound like. We all know what happened to them all eventually, so what was the point? The poor blonde baby deserves better than this.

4.) The Making of Kuroshitsuji II

A modern AU of Black Butler where everyone is just actors? Yes please! They really went all out to make fun of how S2 made no sense as well lol. I like seeing them in modern outfits, though I don’t get why Ciel still has an eyepatch (it’d be more funny if Sebastian was his real dad in this AU) overall I still had a better time with this one.

3.) His Butler, Performance

Just a story of Ciel and the rest of the main cast putting on a play based on Hamlet, what can go wrong? Ciel barely able to act, a weird scene with Lau and Undertaker, and Grell being Grell. That’s what. I’d really like to do an update version sometime, but this one was definitely worth a watch.

2.) Ciel in Wonderland 1 + 2

All the stupid fanservice aside, I keep finding myself coming back to this one. I mean it’s based on Alice in freaking Wonderland! I love the Disney movie and many adaptations of it. But I still would’ve prefer Lizzy as Alice and Ciel as the white rabbit instead. But sadly, people like seeing young boys in drag :( I still love everything else about it.

1.) Welcome to the Phantomhives

Out of all the OVAs, this one feels the most normal, and it’s based on dating simulators! Everyone was completing in character and no odd fanservice (except Sebastian feeding you cake) which makes this pleasantly rewatchable. Do I have to also mention Sebastian’s singing? Nah. That speaks for itself. That makes this my favourite out of all them.

- They met and became friends after Alois went to the Noah's Ark Circus and quickly was amazed by Doll and her tight rope tricks, so much so he paid a high commission to have them perform at a party he's hosting and have them as honored guest.

- During the party Alois witnessed a snobby woman mistreak Doll and just watch her hang her head low, so he ordered Claude to throw her out since he hates those who look down and discriminate others from his past. But Doll convinced him to not do so and leave it be, which made him more curious of the circus princess and her kind heart

- After the party he began to invite Doll over a lot and she quickly warmed up to him

- Whenever the circus left London they would write to each other and Doll would write him their next stop or when they're near London again

- They shared their lives and secrets during one night when Doll spent the night in Trancy manor. They became closer friends afterwards since they understood why they hid such things

- When she has a free schedule Alois decades to treat her on a shopping trip and buys whatever her heart desires, like candies, books, even stuff "most young ladies" wouldn't want such as suits.

- Since I see them in the transgender umbrella with Doll being nonbinary who goes by all pronouns and Alois going by he/they, I see them wearing dresses and suits and makeup almost every time the two are alone.

- With that, they help each other out with corsets and the buttons and shoe laces

- Doll nicknames him the "Prince of Bluebells" or "Sire Butterfly King"

- Flower crowns!!!!

Modern:
