so here’s whats new with the gang! where we left off, we were introduced to a new twist with the “foxes”, where mika shimotsuki tells the head of PSB that they will snuff out all the foxes. foxes, as we know as of the beginning of ep4, are people who are in Bifrost, cunningly manipulating society as if it was all a game. 

new details come to light as kei mikhail ignatov and arata shindo continue their investigation that scatters from the first episode with the mysterious man who dies on a cargo ship, the doctor who was stalking the now governor karina komiya, and now enomiya, the ex-underground wrestler who mysteriously died after meeting a certain koichi azusawa, with a business card with a fox logo on it. basically, there is this suspicion of a criminal syndicate, a group of individuals who engage in illegal activity, yet have clear hues. the ex inspector who was hospitalized as their partner died on duty was finally revealed to NOT be akane tsunemori, but two older men, one hospitalized for a cloudy hue. the detectives visit him, and he claims that koichi azusawa met with their case suspect too before their main suspect died. then they got into a bad car accident where his partner died, so the hospitalized inspector thinks the foxes were once agian responsible.

ultimately, this episode deals with the issue of immigration and the new waves of religion it brings. japan wants to implement a religion zone where people can practice their religion freely (without worrying about their hues i think???), but some religious leaders oppose this, because its basically confining their religion to one area. during the vote, a terrorist attack is struck by a suicide bomber, where there is discovered to be 4 more out there. somehow, none of the anti-religion zone got caught in the blast radius, leading the inspectors to believe one of the three antis are behind this. arata shindo asks if yayoi kunizawa can join them in investigating. they determine that all three antis are in on it, due to some sorta smuggling ring they are involved in. kei and the female enforcer, god dammit i forgot to write her name!! end up being holo-ized and step off to get more intel.

thoughts:

-irie: he made a little comment about protecting (female enforcer) and then susequently blushed. he is SUCH a playboy, flirting with arata, mika, and now her!

-female enforcer: i feel so bad. not knowing her name but to be fair, she has the least character out of all the enforcers. but i feel like her time is coming soon because she apparently got flowers, with a card with the fox logo!! 

-sasagawa, the guy who got arrested in the first episode by kogami (!!) and ginoza, he died. most likely connected to koichi azusawa?

-kei’s brother and arata’s father who both died, they most likely were connexted to the foxes somehow. maybe thats what brought kei and arata together, knowing somehting bad is going on and thats why they are so determined about these incidents not just being accidental

-i hate how akane and kogami and gino are just like. NOT THERE! ok i really like the new characters surprisingly. i like some throwbacks like yayoi and shion making regular appearances, but i just really need some info on akane and if KOGAMI knows about her. like i know i post this every time i do one of these stupid posts but i just really need kogami to do soemtihalkfsjmnldk
