#ku.ro in like chapter 5 or something: i wanna go back to living in a cottage in the woods

i think one of the nicest, non serious headcanons that i had and the series brought to life is the realisation: ku.ro is a good cook. implied in subtext throughout the series through both his original scenes ( a man who has been missing for at least 100 years can now somehow make instant microwaveable ramen? he must have some knowledge with a kitchen ) and london arc ( yout.arou ... enough said ). simply relying on himself both as an orphan to when he departed to kill the count: it was something he had to learn from survival, but ... was also something he found himself enjoyment in doing. a hobby he sincerely liked even if he wasn't quite ready to admit that.

what the latest cd has opened up is the idea that ku.ro has an enjoyment in baking, too. learning the infamous alic.ein brownie recipe and pancakes even approved of by lich.t . it's commented by lawle.ss that it genuinely seems to make him happy to do, which is a big improvement on who he was. combining that with his comments in the earlier chapter really leads me to believe ku.ro finds himself most happiest in the domestic life. a parallel between him and mahi.ru, in the sense. whereas mah.iru wants a big table, ku.ro wants it full of love. where mah.iru wants a house clean and proper, ku.ro doesnt mind the dirt if only for it to show that it's lived in.

even if it was a joke, i wouldn't be surprised if he ever considered opening a cafe of his own. it would be even less of a surprise if he only hired those he knew (coughlawle.sscough).

tldr; they confirmed a year after the end of sv ku.ro re-embrassed his househusband era and good for him for finding enjoyment in it.
