My theory is that Rey is both a Palpatine and a Kenobi. The Palpatine part is quite easy to connect since her father was a sort of clone of Sheev Palpatine aka his son. Her mother I believe is the daughter of Korkie Kryize (who is believed to be the nephew of Satine Kryize of Mandalore, but in reality was her son with famed Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi). Rey’s mother was also a Mandalorian warrior, but left her clan when she fell in love with Rey’s father and moved to Jakku. When it was found out that Palpatine was brought back, Rey’s parents left Rey with Unkar Plutt promising her that they would return for her. Sadly both Rey’s parents were taken prisoner by Sheev’s soldiers who tortured them hoping to find information about their child, since they refused to give up any information about her they were killed. This is just my fan theory, it still leaves it so Rey’s parents were not what would be seen as important people especially compared to the Skywalker family who brought both hope and despair to the galaxy, but it was never said that other people in her family couldn’t be important in her family. If you don’t agree with me that is fine, I just wanted to come up with an interesting fan theory.
