wait actually you're SO RIGHT about children too. ive spent a lot of time working with young children and they really are just trying to exist in a world that seems to hate them for existing a lot of the time, and as a former child myself i think that's really messed up!!! sooo many parents and other caretakers will dismiss and ignore their kids struggling because they're "just acting out for attention" and they never stop to consider that if they're THAT desperate for attention then something is probably wrong

RIGHT!!! kids need attention and care and they sometimes do frustrating things like hanging up a phone you're talking on, or asking too many questions, or dancing around during quiet time! and that's frustrating! but genuinely, your 3yo doesn't know the meaning of spite! your 5yo isn't whining about homework because they're trying to annoy you! kids need help and compassion and not to be told off for "being annoying"

like the other day a 4-5yo on the bus shrieked and his mom, who till that point had been laughing and loose and relaxed, immediately told him off and moved to sit by him and went on for a couple minutes about how that's annoying when he was just having FUN. and yes the shriek was loud. it was impolite. but he's FIVE!!!!!! you can explain inside voices without calling him annoying and making him cower in shame for it. C'mon. This kid is not trying to be annoying he's just EXCITED

21. Do your Pokémon wear any fun accessories?

Very few of them ever do! Now and again, when we ran the contest circuit, I'd have them wear an accessory or an outfit to get used to moving in it so they were ready for being on stage, but we don't really perform anymore. Mostly if someone's wearing something, it'll be a soothe bell or a bandage or something with a purpose.

I do have that Mismagius from Alola that likes playing dress-up with Berry, my Mimikyu! He has unlimited access to my accessory case and he'll put on different things to match his mood. Berry mostly helps him tailor them.

But in general, we only dress up for special occasions. Then my Misdreavus Missie likes things like ribbons and flowers, Mistress (another Mismagius) likes necklaces with those little bottles of "potions" or dried herbs in them, Berry likes drapery dresses and hats, and Murky thinks he looks good without anything else. Ninetails likes bowties and cloaks if we're feeling extra fancy, too. Most of the others don't enjoy wearing extra weight though.

33. Have any of your Pokémon evolved? If so, what was in your opinion the most difficult one to evolve?

Quite a few of them! Ninetales was a little Vulpix when I first got him, Excalibur evolved into a Pidgeot during our early adventure days, and Willow was a Misdreavus I bred that figured out early on, she wanted to be a Mismagius someday.

Pidgeot was probably the most difficult as far as hard work, he isn't the most battle-hungry bird around and it took a good long while to build up his skill to the level where he was ready to handle being a very powerful Pidgeot!

But Mistress kind of evolved on accident (before we found each other), and rather young, too. She had a lot of trouble controlling the new magic in her voice and especially with coping with the reputation her new species had, not to mention she struggled to learn a lot of higher-power moves, I suspect because she evolved too early... She wasn't ashamed to have evolved, but being a Mismagius was really hard on her for a few months.

39. Do you and your Pokémon have any badges or contest ribbons? Which one are you most proud of?

We do! I'm not one much for competitive battling, so the only badge I have is from battling Fantina, heh. I couldn't resist fighting her too when my friend I was traveling with went to fight her; she was my idol when I was younger! I wouldn't stand a chance against her in a contest, though.

As far as ribbons: I have a few! Missie has the most, a couple for Beauty contests and a few for Smart, the highest rank she won with me was Ultra! Mistress and her have a couple ribbons for mid level double contests, too. My main team also all have Dr. Footstep's ribbons (Missie, Mistress, Excalibur, Murky, Trick, and Ninetails). A couple of my contest line of breeding Misdreavus have ribbons too, Starpoint and Trick in particular.

Mistress is my ribbon star honestly, she also has the Effort ribbon and the full range Julia gives out. She doesn't wear them around, but I'm always happy to show them off! Look, she has her own ribbon case, I gave her so many!

My FAVORITE ribbon is the Smart one Mistress won when we performed against Missie's first trainer. A trainer that abandoned her. It was only a Great rank Smart contest, but it was sweet, sweet revenge. Missie didn't have the heart to compete against her, but dear Arceus, Mistress threw her whole heart into kicking that Sylveon's tail for her. It was spectacular.

And as for my second favorite type... That's Flying! I love bird Pokemon to no end. Oddly enough, Drifloon isn't even in my top 10 species despite being my two favorite types, but I've often wondered what a contest with a Sensu style Oricorio would look like.

you're right. a standard farm has room for twice that many plots. five junimo huts worth, that's nearly 1000 melons. it will take three in-game days to plant them all but the payout will be immense

I don't know if you've answered this before, but why *are* there both sentient and completely animal-like animals in the krisverse?

(that said though I do think it makes sense to have world building wise, even if just to avoid the "who's being eaten/milked" discussion every time non-plant food shows up)

I can't remember if I have or not??? But regular animals in the krisiverse serve the same purpose as they do irl in nature, and provide food for people! They are treated a LOT better in the krisiverse though, and most people view them with respect. Food bred animals are especially treated well since they provide important nourishment for everyone! As for the lore, a looong time ago, before even humans showed up, there were only regular animals. At some point though, some of the animals were "blessed by the spirits" and given a choice. Those who wanted to, "evolved" to gain sapience, and their more anthropomorphic looks, while the rest stayed as they are. I'm still muddy on the specific details tbh but I feel like that works well enough for what I need in Kris's story, since honestly it doesn't really come up lol
