Blaise and Hermione: It was clear neither of them would ever trust him again.
It was clear neither of them would ever trust him again. Not that he could blame them, but it still hurt.  He could explain until the sun set, rose, then set again that he’d had to do it to protect them both, but that didn’t matter.
Blaise gathered Hermione into his arms and glared at their captor, their liberator, their enemy.  “Unlocking the door doesn’t make you the good guy,” he said as he made his way out.  “Watch your back, Malfoy, because when this is over, if you’re still alive, I’m coming for you.”
“Let’s just go,” Hermione said.  Her voice shook with pain and exhaustion.  “Otherwise he might change his mind.”
“Gutless wonder,” Blaise said as he pushed his way past the man who’d been his friend once.
Draco watched them go before he turned to plod his way back up the stairs to his room.  He wished someone could unlock his door.
Send me a Harry Potter ship and a sentence and I’ll write the next five.   (no anon requests, please) (also, be patient because there are about 30 of these in my in box and I do want to get to all of them but it will probably take weeks)

I was tagged by the fabulous kris10c and asked to post six selfies.
Erm... unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint) I don’t take selfies
BUT
I did accidentally take one last year as I wrestled with the camera settings on my phone, blinded by the blazing noon sun and roaring heat in Las Vegas (like you do)
Tumblr media
As you can tell, I wasn’t happy about it
[Fortunately I’ve never been classed as a beauty so I’m not losing any reputation as such by posting this]
And these people probably won’t be pleased that I’ve tagged them: strup, cookie-moi, childoftheages, liteangirl, orchidsslayer and allons-y--spaceman

Book Meme
Thanks for tagging me, Kris10c!
Rules: I’m a text post, list 10 books that have stayed with you some way. Don’t take more than a few minutes, and don’t think too hard- they don’t have to be great works, just ones that have touched you.
Tag 10 people, including yours truly, so I can see your list. Make sure people know that you’ve tagged them.
1) Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede...I read this book in 6th grade and it was the first time I ever fell in love with a book.  It made me love reading.
2)Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling...the entire series...because Harry Potter.
3) Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen...this was my first Austen novel, but I started reading it when I had no idea who Jane Austen was, much less how it ended.  I truly fell in love with Wickham, just as Elizabeth did, and I hated Darcy, just as she did.
4) Persuasion by Jane Austen...My favorite Austen novel. I identify with the heroine and her personality.  And it has the best love letter in it that I have ever read.
5). The Bible...written by man, inspired by God. It's a flawed text, but it's full of so much love and hope that I find the flaws don't matter as much.
6) Friends and Lovers by Helen MacInnes... It's a very sweet love story, and has some of the most beautifully poetic language I've ever read. MacInnes described falling in love in a way that deeply affected me.
7) The Fault in Our Stars by John Green...just a really amazing book.  I read it the summer after my dad died, and it helped my grieving process more than I could have ever expected.
8) Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos... I love old movies and this book is chalked full of references and commentary on old Hollywood. I wouldn't mind growing up to be kind of like the heroine.  Best quote: "Jimmy Stewart is always and indisputably the best man in the world, unless Cary Grant should happen to show up."
9) The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw...A strange, bittersweet, and beautiful book. It takes very real emotions and frames them with quirky and imaginative elements. There aren't a lot of books that make me weepy, but this one did.
10) The Claidi Journals by Tanith Lee...It's a series of four wonderful books, I read it in Middle School/ High School and they described a world that was unlike anything I had ever come across until then.

So I've been a terrible fanfic reader lately and haven't reviewed in quite sometime. I've just had a lot of stuff going on but that's whatever. What I wanted to say is that the chapter you just posted for NGL was lovely. I've had a lot of personal shit going on and I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety but your stories have been a bright spot in a crazy time for me so I wanted to say thanks!
I hope you are feeling better soon!  Anxiety is just such a bitch and I’m so happy to hear that my stories are at all helpful in making it less so!  Hang in there.  The craziness always passes.  (And reading fanfic isn’t supposed to be a chore! Please don’t feel like a terrible reader if you haven’t reviewed!!!)

kris10c replied to your post “Hi love! I have a few Eurovision related questions. Why is Australia...”
Wow 60 years! Im surprised there have been no political ramifications for this if the text post on tumblr are to be believed. ;)
Now kris10c; you should know by now that tumblr should not always be believed. For instance, I read recently on tumblr that we were having riots here in the UK, but nobody I spoke to had heard of it. Perhaps we hadn’t been invited?
Anyway, there are normally incidences of political voting but we just shrug and accept it. This year was better because many of the normal alliances were ignored. It certainly made things more interesting.

Hi love! I have a few Eurovision related questions. Why is Australia participating in Eurovision? Also has Australia always participated in Eurovision? As always my thoughts are with you during this ... Interesting time.
Hello kris10c!!
Oooh, I was not expecting some Eurovision questions, but I’ll willingly answer them. :)
No, Australia haven’t always participated in Eurovision; it’s their first time. It’s Eurovision’s 60th anniversary this year, you see, so Australia was invited to join in as part of the celebrations.
Yes, things are very interesting as 3 countries battle it out to win (and the UK is performing at its normal level ;p).

Hello love! How lovely to see you back on here. :D
Thank you!  *blush* And you flatterer; but I like it. ;p
mirthfulwoman replied to your post “mirthfulwoman replied to your post: I’ve just had a drunken phone call...”
Making him a Ten x Donna fan is all that matters. The rest of it is details. I got some good reverse parenting going on. I've turned my mother into a DT fan thanks to Gracepoint. She's going to be working her way through Broadchurch. Slippery slope.
I couldn't agree more about Ten x Donna. Anything else is mere incidentals. How fantastic that you've turned your mum into a DT fan! I could never get my mum interested in him - she'd just look at a photo of him and say he had a nice face. But CT...!!! She absolutely adored her and would watch anything she was in. And if I wanted to change the subject in order to deflect any harsh words all I had to do was mention JB. It worked a treat every time, and saved my sons from emotional battering (of the "Are you going out with anyone yet?" kind).

I was tagged by the lovely kris10c. So here’s my slightly frantic and lowercase handwriting for you all. The basic idea appears to be to respond in your colourful or lacklustre or cursive handwriting for all us to see.
1. your name 2. URL 3. title of your blog 4. crush 5. favourite colour 6. write something in all caps 7. favourite band 8. favourite number 9. favourite drink 10. tag people
I will be tagging ackabulaka, krumbledorebiscuit, mustachedmarshmallows, ngo2013, and of-roses-and-words.
I apologise for the size of the calligraphy pen I used - I accidentally picked up an XB one and couldn't find my normal one (and that was before all the messy business the Windows 8 update put me through! Gr!!!).

Back to You Part 3
From the prompt by kris10c, who asked for a "Time Crash"-esque reunion between 12, Donna, and 10. Oh, this is far from over.
Confusion flashed across her face, and Donna shook her head slowly. “What?”
“There’s a…switch…basically that allows me to recall the TARDIS. Somehow, the readings are showing me that this is what happened here. Except, something went wrong. Instead of the TARDIS being recalled, she was pulled toward her future self, causing a crash.” Waving his hand near her, he swallowed. “And brought you here when she was released.”
Numb, she flicked her eyes around the console room, her breathing soft. “So, what exactly does that mean?” Finding his face, she took in a deep breath. “If she’s been pulled from her line, how far off are we?”
“I don’t know,” he whispered, taking a step toward her. “It doesn’t seem too far; just enough for us to be jolted. I’m working with her to get us back, and to get you back to where you need to be.”
“Doctor,” Donna whispered, hearing the hitch in his voice. Taking a step closer, she reached out her fingers only to let out a yelp as the TARDIS pitched to the right, sending her toward the railing. She could hear the Doctor scream out her name as she hit her side against the metal, air whooshing from her mouth. In the back of her mind, she could hear the whine of the TARDIS – but it felt like her TARDIS.
Bile rose in her throat and she gagged against the sensation, wanting to scream from the blooming pain. Tears streamed down her cheeks and she sobbed as she felt cool, calloused fingers skimming up her sides. Letting out a strangled moan, she felt his mouth against her ear, soothing sounds easing her sobs.
Through the pain, she wondered how he got to her so quickly. Strong arms wrapped around, helping her up and she blinked, the console room blessedly darker than before.
Only to have a jolt of recognition burst through her, and she dug her nails into his hands, mouth opening but no words escaping. With wide eyes, she began to hyperventilate, scratching at his arms. Heaving, she pitched forward, keening softly.
She had just been on the old TARDIS, now she was back with her new Doctor, who was trembling behind her. His lips were murmuring over the shell of her ear, and she was shaking terribly. Shock, that’s what it was; shock from traveling between the TARDIS, shock from seeing her other Doctor, her first Doctor.
Slowly, she began to hear him. No longer was she just feeling him, but now she could hear him. Gulping in air, she felt her legs moving, the lights becoming brighter.
“…infirmary, where I can check on you. Your ribs are probably bruised, and you have a gash on the side of your forehead. It’s not large, but enough to cause me worry.” Turning in his arms, she stared up at him, wide-eyed, his smile wobbly. “There’s lovely.”
“N-no, you don’t…y-you don’t understand,” Donna gasped out, her words stuttering. Allowing him to help her on the exam table, she watched as he addressed her gash, the TARDIS already had laid out his equipment. “T-this is wrong.”
Startled, he let his hands drop to his sides before resuming. “How so?”
“You won’t believe me.” To her own ears, her voice was tiny, and she shied away from the Doctor’s stare.
  “Try me.”
“I was back with you, the old you, my first you.”
Faltering, the Doctor widened his eyes. “Donna…”
“I told you,” she accused, and winced as he applied medication to her wound. “I told you.”
“I’m not denying you were,” he whispered, attaching a bandage. “But, love, you were knocked unconscious.”
Shaking her head, Donna gripped his shirt and then moaned as her side pulled. Feeling him prod her ribs, she leaned forward, muffling her cries. Feeling him ease her in a laying position, she felt tears drip into her hair. “Are you saying I imagined it?” Trembling, she watched as he hooked up a small machine. Unlike the other him, he was slow and methodical in his movements, keeping his eyes trained on her and any slight twinge she might feel. Feeling the machine on her side, a slight vibration moved over her skin, and she watched as he knelt before her, frowning.
“I don’t know,” the Doctor sighed. “The TARDIS was….”
“Knocked off course, seemingly by the supposed switch you have in place,” she finished for him, and let her eyes flutter close, missing his concerned glare.
  “How did you know…?”
“You told me, before.” Yawning, she opened her eyes again, her side feeling much better, and the gash on her forehead no longer bothering her. “It was real Doctor, it was.”
Silent, he gave a short nod, his fingers meshing through hers. “I believe you, love.”

kris10c replied to your post: Fic: Pregnant Clause
You’re getting these out so fast! Loved this chapter. Donna yelling in the face of certain death? #Perfection
Thank you! Yes, I'm being quite quick with these; partly because my muse can't keep it out of my head, and partly because I have another writing project that I am desperate to start on properly but I need to have this one done and out the way first. As you can tell, I'm very conflicted.
But yay that you liked Donna yelling like that! It seemed appropriate somehow. :)
imnotacommittee replied to your post: Fic: Pregnant Clause
This is keeping me on edge yet also making me smile: Donna handcuffed and on the verge of being eaten yet still yelling her way around. Brilliant!
It is? Oooh good! I hope you don't mind me being pleased about that. The keeping you on the edge of your seat whilst smiling, I mean, and not Donna almost being eaten. I felt duty bound to have her protesting about that. :)

Back to You
From the original prompt from kris10c, who asked for future!Donna with 12 running into 10, a la “Time Crash”.
Slamming his palms into the console, he swore under his breath and spun the monitor around for him to see. The TARDIS was relaying her multiple readouts to him and he mouthed along as they streamed along. Nothing made sense; well, other than what he was thinking and that was that his future self had something to do with this.
We had a fight.
What would they have fought about? And would Donna confide in him?
I was running toward the console room.
Did something happen that caused her to start running? Or was she that upset? He didn’t like to think of Donna being upset; he had been on the receiving end of that before, and it wasn’t something he wanted to see again.
Promise me Doctor.
Shivering, he began to pry open the grating to slither under the console. Taking out his sonic, he maneuvered underneath, and took down the toolbox he had mounted. Clenching the sonic between his teeth, he took in a deep breath. His own back hurt slightly from being roughed into one of the coral struts, and he grunted as a zap from one of the loose wires jolted against his fingers.
I don’t slap you anymore, unless you ask.
Swallowing around the machinery in his mouth, he glared up at the underside of the console, his fingers getting sticky from the grease buildup. That little bit of information had startled him; what exactly did he look like in the future that Donna seemed willing to….dance with him?
With a heavy sigh, he narrowed his eyes and took his sonic from his mouth. Waving it over the wires, he decided that would be a question for a later time. Instead, he shifted one of the settings on his sonic and set a pulse onto the wires, checking for more errors.
+
Waking slowly, Donna pressed her forehead into her pillow, eyes squeezed shut. Taking a deep breath, she reached behind and gently prodded her lower back. The pain had turned into a dull ache and she stretched out her legs. Pouting slightly to find the other side of the bed empty, she opened her eyes and then sat up quickly, moaning loudly as the pain bloomed at the bottom of her back.
“No,” she whispered, looking down at her clothes. “No, no, no.” Standing, she braced her hands against the wall, breathing in and out through her mouth. A wave of nausea curled in her stomach and she ran to the bathroom, throwing up water.
Gagging, she felt the TARDIS in her mind, more distant than usual, but still soft and soothing. With shaky hands, she licked her lips and turned on the faucet. As the cool water flowed, she swished it in her mouth and spit it out.
Staring through tear caked lashes at her reflection, she prodded her bruise stained cheek, and the few scratches against her chin. Stripping, she let her clothes fall to the floor and turned on the shower. Breathing in deeply, she adjusted the water and then stepped in, groaning as the warmth of the water eased her tired and sore muscles.
Old habits helped her and she reached blindly for the loofa and soap, working it into a lather. The smell of gardenia – her old scent – wafted up and she smoothed it over her skin. As she watched the soap slide, she grabbed her shampoo and worked it into her hair, wincing at the tender spots.
Finished with getting the soot and grime from her skin, she let the endless warm water massage over her back. Moaning happily, she turned and shut off the tap, hissing as the steam rose up and the cooler air moved into the shower.
Drying off, she wrapped the towel around her body, seeing her clothes were missing. Patting the walls, she toed back into her room, feeling her feet sink into the carpet. Her room was exactly the same; he hadn’t changed a thing. Inching her wardrobe doors open, she felt tears sting her eyes. Her clothes hung the same way she had had it before she left.
Shaking again, she quickly grabbed a shirt and then went to her drawers, grabbing a pair of jeans. Breathing in, she took out knickers and a new bra. When she had moved back onto the TARDIS, her room had shifted slightly, no longer the same. Her clothes had been incorporated into the TARDIS wardrobe and she had actually chosen a different room…at first. Until she had moved into the same room as the Doctor, solidifying their new relationship.
Slipping into her trainers, opened her door and followed the corridor to the console room. Her other Doctor was standing against the console, stripped to his vest, grease stains on its front. His glasses were askew and his hair was more sticky-uppy than normal, but his face was dark and guarded.
“Hello.”
Starting, he jolted upward and smiled tightly at her. He made to move to stand in front of her but stopped, hands limp at his sides. “How are you feeling?”
“Better,” Donna told him, nodding. Crossing her arms tightly against her chest, she jutted her chin out. “Did you find anything out?”
Breath hitching, he nodded slowly and ran a hand through his hair, forcing it to stick up more. “Yes.”
Hearing him drawl out the word, Donna glared. “Well?”
“Donna, it…from the readings the TARDIS gave me, the crash seems deliberate.”
“Excuse me?”
Wincing, the Doctor tapped the edge of the console. “I’m sorry, but how the TARDIS was pulled from her trajectory, it was deliberate.”
“And you’re saying my Doctor did it?” she hissed through her teeth.
“I’m saying, that for some reason in my future, I send my TARDIS, well, against my TARDIS.”

kris10c replied to your post “Hello dear! Could I bother you with a fic request? I was hoping you'd write a fic where Donna has returned as 12s companion but they run into 10 (five doctor/time crash style). Thanks dear! :)”
Nothing to apologize for! So excited about this. I love that you don't specify the doctor. Though I have to believe future donna crashed and landed with ten because of the slapping comment. Can't wait to read more! Thanks so much as always!
Oh I'm so glad you like it! In my mind, it's future!Donna, but I do like to be ambiguous ;). And you are welcome!!
