KRBK Summer Reading Challenge

We're going back to our childhood with a summer reading challenge, much like what you would find at your local library when you were a kid. You will have a tracker to mark off your progress as you go and if you complete the challenge, you will receive a certificate honoring your hard work.

What are the requirements?

Read 250,000 words during the summer months: June 1st - August 31st. All progress must be KRBK-centric fanfics to count. Fics from any site count, though AO3 is the easiest to keep track of progress since the word count is listed for you (meaning Twitter threads and Tumblr posts are fine too).

What proof is needed?

This event is entirely honor-system based. It is up to you, the reader, to be faithful in your completion. You are free to share progress as you go by tagging #KRBKSummerReading on social media, though it is not required.

How to participate:

Just snag a copy of the gameboard below and mark off the circles for every 10,000 words you read. The 250k can be any combination of fics. Read 100 fanfics or read 1, doesn't matter as long as it equals at least 250,000 words. Once you have completely marked off your gameboard, post it on Twitter, Tumblr, or Bluesky and tag @krbkevents with your ending word count. A certificate will be made for you showing you finished the challenge.

For an added bonus, share some of the fics you read during the challenge and consider leaving the writers a comment. They will appreciate it.
