Robert Gober made Untitled (2011), an edition of 15, by printing the lyrics to "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" from The Sound of Music on carefully aged paper using pieces of potato. The bonkers potato printing process is detailed by Krakow Witkin Gallery, where an example of the edition is on view in early December 2024.

Abelardo Morell b.1948 Cuban.

Abelardo is a contemporary photographer whose technique with the camera obscura is remarkable. Through uniquely crafted composition and tone he creates truly arresting images from landscape and still-life. In the photograph below he has turned a room into a camera obscura. His work processes also include tintypes, glass negative, wet plate collodian, cyanotype and cliche verre. 

The work below is in the Edwynn Houk Gallery in NYC. It is a Tent-Camera image on the ground, with a view of Monet’s garden in Giverney, France. He used archival pigment paint overlaid on the photograph. It has the feel of a pointillist painting. He works prolifically and is currently showing Glassware Still Life work at the Krakow Witkin Gallery in Boston where he is based. His photographs can be bought as limited editions if you have a wish list!
