There are no words to describe the emotions I felt when I realized it was the events of Rider Time Decade of all things that led Sougo to this conclusion

The ENTIRE SHOW I was waiting for Sougo to realize that being a king isn't a goal worth upholding the way that he does, and that becoming one wouldn't truly make him happy, and we never quite got it. I don't remember ever hearing Sougo say "who cares about being king" before, and it's because... Heure died? New Timeline Heure, whose affections he didn't seem to reciprocate??

To be fair, there were a Lot of circumstances surrounding it; I imagine that the whole "inter-dimensional Sougo war" for the king title affected his perspective on the whole thing. But Heure's death does seem to be the final catalyst for him giving up on his lifelong dream, and that is. extremely fascinating to me

if zi-o was made today i wonder if they’d make tsukuyomi a secondary rider.

like, given what they ended up doing with her in the end (having her be related to the leader of the villains/her being an [in]direct cause of it) i just think it’d make more sense to give her more relevance (in general) but particularly as a rider because it follows a similar trajectory of riders in the past (like sento, given they both had amnesia an later learned their “true origins” of how they’re related to their respective conflicts).

in general, i think zi-o had some really good conflicts, but it struggled to balance its “own/original” story with all the tribute episodes. and don’t get me wrong, some of those tributes were pretty good (particularly the later ones), but maybe they should’ve done more combined tributes to have more time for its own plot idk.

and off the original topic, i really liked the conflict between sougo and geiz, but i think they make it hard to understand where geiz is coming at at first because his backstory is barely there. like the person he lost during his time at the resistance is literally known as “unnamed man” i think.

Ok not to nitpick but if Amane took away their Undead powers, yes Kenzaki would have reverted to being human, but Hajime should have turned into a cockroach.... because he's literally a cockroach like he was never originally human the "looking human" is one of his Undead powers. So without powers he should just be a cockroach.
