so Siliconera just released an article.

apparently there is a Kamen Rider-themed mobile/gacha game in the works with Yuya Takahashi as the writer.

Some people thought this was an anime adaptation of a Kamen Rider series/an orginal anime kamen rider

But those aren't the important points.

Look at the headline.

"will depict Kamen Riders as handsome guys"

Pffft... just can't stop laughing.

With how many people simped over Aruto, Kento, Shoutaro, Tsukasa, Zeronos, Keiwa, Ace, Michinaga, and many more Kamen Riders... they were already handsome, nay hot, guys to begin with.

This is fucking hilarious when you realize for a number of years Kamen Rider actively cast guys who won the Junon Super Boy Contest (a male beauty contest) as Riders. There was a time when you could use that contest to predict who'd end up either as a protagonist rider or a sentai hero. I can't even tell you how many people were in that contest and ended up in a tokusatsu.

Heck the KR revival started off with the guy who literally is the eponym for "Odagiri effect"!!

The KR FB group has a short application to join (basically, have you read the rules, and name your favorite rider to prove you're a real person). Sometimes the mods post screenshots of folks who obviously haven't read the questions, usually fans of "Kamen Rider Yes."

Today they put up a screenshot asking why someone would say they like a made-up rider they've never heard of. After all, who's this Zeronos guy supposed to be?

i guess i kind of would be interested in a kr den-o au where airi was den-o, and yuuto remained zeronos, and you still don’t watch them fall in love, but it’s still: they’re a couple one point in time, her past, his future

but you’d have to rework den-o a lot for that, but i would be interested to see how that would have turned out, in some universe

Oh... this. Yeah, it's a parody of a KR opening from Pop Team Epic. Which is weird because it's an anime based on 4-koma comics. I definitely see the references you're referring to, although tbf a lot of Rider openings have some similar tropes lol.

And yes, guy in white coat is Yuichi Nakamura, aka Sakurai Yuto/Zeronos from Den-O. He's credited as "time police captain", which makes it even more hilarious.

Aside from that I haven't the foggiest idea what the hell is going on, and the Riders would probably be just as confused as I am lol
