#kpop stylists are in a outdated rut

Jimin now favors more simple elegant minimalistic styling and he's mentioned that last year but it can be seen especially for events and his casual fits so I think if he was to go to the MET what he would pick would be in line with this styling preference. Out of the couple best looking men fits this year at the MET I think the Thom Browne outfit Ben Simmons wore is probably the most in line with jimin's current style while also being a high fashion moment. Lewis Hamilton Burberry fit would also fit jimin's style well. I found it interesting that the American and British brands delivered the most for men looks this year and last year as well. Last year Shai Gilgeous Alexander's Thom Browne fit was also impeccable. I think the best is when the artist finds a stylist that really understands their style and helps them showcase that with their outfits. That's probably what jimin's stylist needs to do just lean into jimin's own style and just find ways to express that best. Overall though Kpop stylists don't know to style because they just take the fits straight off the runway or the shops without any modifications or they just stick to the same things like it's either oversized coats or some type of leather outfit with cutout or cropped tops for the men it's not giving much at this point.
Here are the looks I mentioned that I think fit jimin's style:

That Lewis Hamilton look is really nice especially the thorn neck piece. I think the other two are a nice change from just a plain suit but tweed as a material I just don’t like visually.
Simple elegance is how I’d described jimin’s overall fashion sense but nowadays I do feel like it’s gotten a lot more lax and casual. He goes for comfortable more than anything else. But for the met gala I do feel like it’d be the exception if it was in his hands. He’d definitely do his best to follow the theme while also keeping that same sensibility. He’s not gonna be out here with his crack out or showing as much skin as he could like some pjms/armys wanted him too last year. Cause to some of them they just have it in their head that him having sex appeal means he has to have something showing. For me personally, the vibe he brought with the filter outfits would be great. Neither of those looks were over stated at all, but they both had those details that made it all come together and made everything pop. Like the purple one with that single long pearl earring the loud eye shadow and his wet hair. Still in love with it to this day. So while the looks you mentioned are nice I could still see him pushing the envelope just a bit more.
That’s what I mean by he’s versatile. Look wise you could go in so many directions with him. But you made excellent points though on stylists needing to know who they’re dressing. I think people in general understand that jimin is on the androgynous side and has a very sophisticated air about him. Dior tried to mix and match the fits they put him in last year but their men’s line has never really been the best to me.
