The remake of kouri's classic horror adventure game Ib, released on Steam last year, is now out on Nintendo Switch! Besides being on the eShop, there's also a Japan-exclusive physical version (which still includes all language options).

A young girl named Ib visits an art gallery with her parents. While observing the many exhibits, she suddenly realizes she is alone. And in her search for others, she finds things awry in the gallery...

To reiterate features of the remake: It has redone graphics in a similar style but higher-resolution, and reworks a number of puzzles and areas with new elements. It has a general aim of making things more approachable for inexperienced players, and reducing some reflex-based elements from the original.

The remake also introduces the ability to talk to your partner at any time for comments or advice, an autosave feature, and a button to switch to a zoomed-in view to see things more easily.

If you have not played Ib before, I am begging you to give it a go. This game lives in my head rent free, and it deserves the headspace.

Time to get into the Halloween season, and what best way to start with a cute horror game like Ib! 🌹 This is an Indie game I hope people don't forget about. It was such a well designed concept, that was actually terrifying to play. I'm not great with Horror at the best of times but this game really caught me off guard with how scary it was. Especially the sound effects! 🥶

I can also appreciate the whole, 'art coming to life to kill you'. Obviously it hits home considering I draw literally all the time and you do sometimes feel consumed by your craft. But you still draw all the same! 🎨 All in all, a game that I am defiantly thinking about replaying because it is just so good!
