So, hey, guess what came today?

Overall I can safely say the figures are absolutely gorgeous. They're really nicely put together, with separate torsos for the naughty versions, and the only trouble I had was removing Aoba's right arm so that I could take out the paper in the joint; as is usual with figures like this, everything is packed with little soft papers in the joints so nothing gets rubbed or damaged in transit. I just had a hard time getting purchase on the arm because of its angle. Everything slid apart and snapped back together nicely. Koujaku's hair ornament doesn't stay very well, so I might glue that in just for safety.

As you can see, I immediately switched out Aoba's head for the alternate one where he's smiling. The robes are attached to a left arm part, but those were easy to swap out; the only bit that took some finagling was getting them all lined up with Koujaku's right arm around Aoba's waist.

Each figure has an alternate torso, which was discreetly covered by black paper in the box. They are, indeed, naked and aroused if you want to display that. Koujaku's dick confirmed to be huge, btw. Just saying.

Only thing I will say is that I was surprised that there is no base for the figures, but I could have missed something in the packaging. It also came with a little postcard of the original Honyarara art for the figures. I have no regrets in getting this and I'm still a little in disbelief that it's mine.

I bet you thought I was done posting pictures, huh? (I probably am, for now at least.)

The light isn't great in my bedroom today but at least I can show off the shelf as it is now. As you can see, the base game box makes a perfect stand for the figures, as long as I don't put their robes on. Might find some cloth for that purpose instead, since otherwise it all looks a bit bare. But for now they're all set!

The Koujaku/Aoba figure set has gone through customs and come out the other side. It may be in my hands as soon as tomorrow. (EMS's track record is pretty solid in this regard.)

After all this time... after two years of waiting... it'll finally be here. In my grubby little paws.

I'm not sure I'm ready. Physically, yes. Emotionally? Not so much.

HEY I got an email this morning that my Native KouAo statue is being shipped on July 19! Time to double check and make sure my address and CC info are correct on their website, because AAAAAHHHHHHH two years of waiting is finally nearly over

(oh, and with the current state of the yen, it's now only gonna cost $417, not including shipping. please let the yen stay weak for just a bit longer, pls pls pls)

I can’t quite believe I finally have them all. I really never thought I’d manage it, let alone have the good fortune to grab both Mink and Clear in the last month. Noiz was a generous Christmas gift from a dear friend, while I’ve had Koujaku and Aoba both for quite a while now. It’s still a shame that Goodsmile never made a Ren figure, but I’m not even sure that one made now would live up to the standard of these. But now I have them and I can rest until next May when I’ll have to make space for the Kouao statue…

So the Kouao statue was supposed to come out this month; unfortunately there's been a delay (along with several other Native products that were due this month, so it's not like exclusively the one) and it won't be shipping until July instead. Honestly I'm not bothered, since I'm used to this sort of thing from Goodsmile. Stuff gets pushed back a month or two, but it still does get fulfilled. And if it doesn't, at least my card still hasn't been charged yet.

What did ship yesterday was the Koujaku garage kit from Onigiri! I'm so super excited about that, even though I'm not looking forward to the assembly and painting process. What's really exciting is that it got to my forwarding service today, so I've already got it being processed to ship to me. It's been so long since I did a physical project like this, but at least I have a lot of mini paints that hopefully haven't all dried out yet... (*one fear*)

The Sparkle issue also had a photoshoot with Shuji Kikuchi, so that was a nice bonus, but really the Seiichiro & Shogo photoshoot is so nice. The closeness of their friendship really shines in every shot and it makes me even sadder that Seiichiro can’t be in the DMMd flashback show, but I hope he’s doing well regardless.

The BL Photography issue is devoted to Nitro+Chiral goods, so there are figures and statues from all of the games, and even some nice shots of the DMMD Nendos. Making me even angrier that the people selling the Clear nendo on myfigurecollection aren’t responding to my messages, but whatever. I’ll get him (and Mink) someday. Anyway, there’s some beautiful photos of the Kouao statue, and even some (censored) shots of the unclothed versions. Makes me even more excited to finally get my statue sometime next year.

Kind of feel bad for all the people still liking and reblogging my posts about the KouAo DMMd statue which has since closed the preorder period and (I’m fairly sure) will only have as many made as there are preorders for it. But it’s still a gorgeous piece and worth admiring, so... *shrug emoji*

my brain still can't process that this is a real statue that is coming out in the year of our lord 2022 and apparently it is going to be possible to make these boys completely naked. this is where my brain lives now, this is it, nowhere else

(also sorry I edited it to add the picture with the robes and now it’s all in a straight line and I can’t change it back? wtf tumblr why did you do this, this was such an unneeded and unwanted change)
