Kotona Elegance 1/7 scale figures Just got these in the mail, they are way bigger than the rest of the zoids figures lol. I got these at a great price and I'm glad I could add them to the collection

Zoids was and is just SO GOOD.

The anime came out back in 1999… NINETEEN NINETY NINE!

It blended 2D and 3D animation in a way that was almost unheard of at the time and it did it BEAUTIFULLY.

Honestly, I got a nostalgia bomb for the series last night because I was thinking of the Shadow Fox model I still need to build and my brain spiraled from there…

THEN I remembered the shows had AMAZING character names like:

Van Flyheight, Moonbay, Bit Cloud, Vega Obscura, Rotten Roger, Kotona and Rinna Elegance, Thunder Galaga, Bacon, Sauce, Candy, Avacado, Garlic, Caviar, Foie Gras, Gyoza, Penne, and Hot and sour soup.

BONUS POINTS for why I fell into the nostalgia train, I was trying to remember another Fiona I had a character crush on and then I remembered HER from Zoids: Chaotic Century/Guardian Force and then I remembered THIS CRAP SHE DID:

YES, THAT’S SALT. YES, THAT’S COFFEE. SHE WOULD JUST POUR SALT ON OR IN EVERYTHING, ENTIRE BOTTLES OF SALT. IT’S ALMOST LIKE SHE WAS SO SWEET THAT SHE NEEDED TO EAT SO MUCH SALT TO BALANCE HERSELF OUT.

I’m sorry, but every character named Fiona is perfect, and I’ll protect them with my LIFE.

Nendoroid #025 | Kotona Elegance from Zoids Genesis ...apparently

I just ordered her preowned B/B from AmiAmi for 780JPY yet I have no idea who she is. The price is nice and will keep me under the value threshold for imports into the UK (no customs fees - yay) and I’m interested to see the condition of a B rated figure. I’ve only ever ordered A/B preowned (B/B has always scared me...) but with the price of this, I’m willing to take the risk. Very old but Nendoroid #010 will remain the oldest figure in my collection. SAL unregistered has become my best friend again so I’ll update you all in a month when she arrives *if she arrives* ^^;;

Sitting Nendoroids

While it’s true it’s possible to pose a Nendo as if he/she were sitting despite it not having sitting parts... well those make the work a lot easier and better on a visual level.

There are lots of female Nendo who come with sitting parts (120 so far plus the Nendoroid more sets) but not so many male Nendo (20 so far!).

While in the past it was completely okay as there were few male Nendo, the increase of male Nendo makes sad how they didn’t provide more with sitting parts (which is why I sort of bugged Goodsmile in hope they’ll make a Nendoroid more set with male sitting parts).

Still to fully realize the huge amount in difference I’m going to list all the Nendo who had sitting parts and let you see how many are females and how few are males.

I also think it can be useful to you if you’re searching for sitting parts.

Mind you, I’m listing only the Nendo that were commercialized as capable of sitting. If there are Nendo who can sit but it wasn’t said... well, that’s all good but I couldn’t know.

Took some photos of my Rei Mii and Kotona Nendoroids for my facebook page, so thought I'd post them here too. These figures are really cute and fun to take photos of. It can be a bit hard to pose them without their stand though, as they are actually really heavy. Trying to get Kotona to sit to the Gil Dragon was a nightmare >.< 

Unfortunately while taking these, my worst fear happened. I noticed Rei Mii's leg joints were worryingly wobbly, and no surprise, they broke. I'm now using the two spare neck joints from the other faces, but they're a little long for the legs. I've searched all over, but haven't been able to find any spares. Which quite frankly amazes me as I went through thread after thread of people in similar situations. Worst comes to worse, I'll simply glue them to be immobile joints. But, that would really take away from the figure so I'd rather not have to do that. As cute as nendoroid are, I might not  buy anymore as this is such a problem with no simple solution. If only goodsmile sold replacement joints DX

Hey I bought some figures! I went to Connecticon a while back and really wanted to get new figures from zoids, RWBY, or Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Unfortunately all I could find was one Kotona figure and it was wayyyy overpriced. So I went online and snagged the same figure and this swimsuit one for much cheaper. My gf found this adorable little fan-made Kanna figure online. As far as I can tell there are no official Kobayashi figures at all. As for RWBY, I love the new Ruby Rose figure but it’s a tad expensive so I’ll wait on that
