Kono Oto Tomare Chapter 127 Scans and Rough TL
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: Please DO NOT use this translation to make your own TL of the chapter!! The KOT TL group works very hard to give you the most accurate translation, that does as much justice to the original script as possible. This is a ROUGH translation. That means is faulty and there must be mistakes in certain places. This is just for impatient people like myself to get a grasp on what is going on in the chapter! You can REFERENCE my TL if you want to discuss the chapter but never USE it as it was your own.

Page 6
Sane: Finally... it begins now. Today is the day.
Mittsu: Yeah... I feel like I'm gonna throw up my breakfast...
Kota: Stop it! You will stiff up!!
Sane: Let's do the ritual we did before the preliminaries!
Kota: Eh? What was it, again?
Sane: If I remember it right, in your hand over here, there are points that ease the tension if you press---
Mittsu: That hurts, you idiot!! Do it in your own hand!!
Chika: Are you guys really getting nervous this early again? Pathetic.
Chika: Takinami also said it yesterday.
Chika: That we are already the best and incredibly awesome, and we should only have fun now.
Suzuka: I didn't say that.
Page 7
Sane: The hell, what's your deal Chika!
Chika: In my dream, our performance was a huge success
Mittsu: It was only a success in your dreams!!
Mittsu: Isn't that, like, a red flag!?
Chika: Shut up! I already have the image of what our success will look like in my mind!
Hiro: Oh, man. Everyone's already here!
Takezou: Ah, Kurusu-san, Hozuki-sa----...
Page 8
Kota: Wooaah, you both did your hair a bit today!!
Sane: Oh, you're right!
Hiro: It may give us a little boost of energy!
Kota: So cute---!!
Hiro: Thank you.
Takezou: ...Lost the timing to say it...
Suzuka: Ok, everyone's here now.
Suzuka: Is a bit early but let's start moving---
Hiro: So- sorry, wait just a moment...! Just- just this!!
Page 9
Hiro & Satowa: For Momoya-kun and Yoshinaga-kun!!
Mittsu: Aaaah--- these!! Woah
Hiro: In the Preliminaries, Hozuki-chan made us charms! So we thought to give you yours!
Satowa: A received help from Hiro-senpai this time.
Kota: We also brought ours--!
Atsumu: !
Atsumu: I-i-i-i-is it really ok for me to accept such a marvelous thing...
Hiro: Of course! It would make us very happy if you did!
Atsumu: Thank you so much!!!
Page 10
Natsu: ...
Hiro: We thought... that you might be uncomfortable receiving handmade stuff, Momoya-kun, but
Satowa: If you don't want it, it's absolutely fine for you to throw it away...
Natsu: No, I wouldn't throw it away...
Atsumu: Should we put it as backpack keychains?
Natsu: No, I'm afraid to lose it if we do that.
Hiro: !
Satowa: Also, Keishi-san if you'd like... This time we've relied on you so much...
Keishi: Whaat, for real!? You're also giving me one!?
Page 11
Keishi: Woaah-- thank you--!
Chika: ...
Chika[sfx]: Rustle
Kota: I'm sitting with Aki-chan today--
Sane: Wha- We gotta decide that with rock-paper-scissors!!
Kota: First come, first served--
Sane: What the hell, you--
Satowa: Giggle
Satowa: !
Page 12
Chika: Hozuki, sit here today.
Satowa: Blush. Eh-
Page 13
Satowa: Eh, wh- why...
Chika: Just sit here.
Hiro [thoughts]: Kyaaaaaaa-----!!!
Hiro [thoughts]: What what what. Excuse me, Chika-kun----!? What are you doing!!?
Hiro [thoughts]: Woaaah--- Ahhh geez--- that's nice--- That's sooo nice---
Hiro [thoughts]: Both being in love in the National Competition is so nice---
Hiro [thoughts]: Bu- but from here on it's all about the performance!
Hiro [thoughts]: There's no time for me to be jealous!!
Hiro [thoughts]: Gotta keep it together---
Suzuka: Kurusu.
Hiro: Yes...
Suzuka: You have people behind you, move to the back quickly
Hiro: Ah, so- sorry.
Page 14
Hiro [thoughts]: To the back----...
Suzuka [memory]: You might as well make that into your strength
Hiro: Ku- Kurata, can I sit with you?
Takezou: !
Takezou: Of course.
Page 15
Takezou: Would you like to sit by the window?
Natsu: ...
Satowa [thoughts]: I wonder… with what intention did he…
Satowa: I mean, we often together at the venues, too. It's not like there has to be a big reason for it now, but...
Chika: ...About that charm
Page 16
Satowa: Eh?
Chika: When you made them last time, you didn't make one for yourself, Hozuki.
Chika: Did you make one this time?
Satowa: ...Hiro-senpai offered to make me one but...
Satowa: I- I refused...
Chika: Eh? Why?
Satowa: Why, you say...
Satowa [thoughts]: Because Kudo wrote my name in his. That made me so happy, that for me it made it my charm and
Page 18
Satowa [thoughts]: Is not like I can say that to him-!!! I did tell Hiro-senpai, though...
Satowa: It's fine, really.
Chika: ...
Chika: Mhmmmmm. I see.
Chika: ...
Chika: ...
Satowa [thoughts]: Wha- what is it?
Satowa [thoughts]: I really don't get it---
Chika: Then I guess you wouldn't want this?
Page 19
Satowa: -----... Tha- that's...
Satowa: Did you make that... for me...?
Chika: ---As- As I thought, you wouldn't really care for it, right!? You wouldn't use it! My bad--
Page 20
Satowa: I would!!!
Page 21
Satowa: I most definitely would... so.
Chika: ...
Chika: Here
Satowa: ...Thank you...
Satowa: Ah, that's right.
Page 22
Satowa: Look! Now it matches yours, Kudo.
Satowa: Wait!
Satowa: Could it be that you also made charms for Momoya-kun and Yoshinaga-kun...!?
Chika: Well, no. I thought you would make theirs this time around as well...
Satowa: I see. That's a relief.
Chika [sfx]: ba-dump ba-dump
Chika [thoughts]: Dangerous... That was sooo dangerous---....
Page 23
Chika [thoughts]: I wanna hug her so bad-----....
Chika: Gonna sleep.
Satowa: Suddenly!?
Page 24
Takezou: Today the weather is so nice.
Hiro: Wha- Ah, yes. The ideal weather to compete!!
Takezou: Ideal to compete! Ahaha
Hiro: ... ...
Hiro: ...Kurata. Um, you see...
Hiro: Only if you'd like, would you...
Hiro: ----Nghh
Hiro: Would you write your name on my charm!?
Page 25
Hiro: I mean, you see- Last time Chika wrote Hozuki-chan's name on his charm and I thought that gave it more power or something... so...
Hiro [thoughts]: Wow this is so embarrassing...
Hiro: Ah bu- but maybe imitating those two would be a bit, you know-
Hiro [thoughts]: Uuuugh--- what am I even saying.
Hiro: Sorry, I said something weird...
Page 26
Takezou: Then, should we exchange charms?
Page 27
Hiro: Ex- Exchange charms with you, Kurata?
Kurata: Only if you'd like, Kurusu-san.
Hiro: I would!!!
Page 28
Takezou: ...Alright. Okay, here's... mine.
Hiro: Ye- yeah! Thank you!!
Page 29
Takezou: Fu
Page 30
Hiro: ---I will protect it with my life!!!
Takezou: Ahaha That's very reassuring. I will do my best as well.
Sane: ...
Page 31
Sane: Should we... exchange ours as well...? Sigh...
Mittsu: Will you protect me...?
Sane: ...If you want...
Page 32
Man: Here
Tougo: Thank you very much.
Page 33
Man: That would be the last one.
Kifune-sensei: Yes. Thank you very much.
Man: I get to send off Ichiei's students every year. But this year is even more amazing.
Kifune-sensei: Amazing?
Man: Yeah. How do I put it..?
Man: Their atmosphere? Or more like an aura.
Man: It's so overwhelming. It's a bit scary.
Page 34
Man: Are they also in peak condition?
Kifune-sensei: Yeah. Of course.

Ch.127 Rambling and Gushing
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CH.127 OF KOT!
As always I will be referring to tessenpai's rough tl which you can find here
Hello hello! Yeah, I'm not even pretending that I'm not just gushing about this chapter
Know this is obvious, but I’m so suspicious that Chika wasn’t *just* half asleep at the beginning of the chapter. Like, I don’t know, he was coming out of some kind of dream. And he mentions later on that he dreamt their performance went great, but I don’t know, just seemed a weird reaction. Them squinting against the light is really cute though. But Chika looks on the verge of tears until he snaps out of it and fully wakes up. Like, maybe he had dreamt they performed and thought it was all over and that’s why he grabbed onto Takezou like that? I don’t know, and I’m probably making too big a deal out of it.
Tumblr media
Can't believe this is actually the day they're gonna perform at Nationals. Like, we've come this far. Also should of course be mentioned how great Satowa and Hiro look and how obviously Chika and Takezou also thought this. is truly just so ecstatic to have every little experience with the club, and it’s so cute. But Momoya not wanting to lose the charm is so sweet. Like, a huge success with him. Satowa’s immediate, oh you don’t have to keep it though, like girl, please, even he values the handmade thing you gave him, people aren’t burdened by you and I still need people to remind her of that. Even Keishi gets a charm! And Chika’s little reaction after Satowa gives Keishi the charm is so cute. He’s so nervous about it.
Tumblr media
The way Chika asks Satowa to sit with him is just, ughhslekdnc. I can’t. And Hiro once again 100% representing all of us, especially with that “Excuse me, Chika-kun!?” cuz like, that is also def how I feel about this in the best way possible. But also our girl Hiro being such a go-getter this chapter, and I love that for her. But also she doesn’t even KNOW what just went down with Chika and Satowa this chapter. Like, if she hand’t exchanged charms with Takezou, she might’ve just dropped dead from the cuteness and also jealousy. But also Natsu being so done with being on the romance bus
Tumblr media
Satowa thinking about how it isn’t even that unusual for her and Chika to sit next to each other! And Chika is trying to play it so cool but he’s so nervous it’s the sweetest thing. And they’re both just such disasters. I fucking love so much how Chika tries to casually hold out the charm to Satowa, with his head turned away.
Tumblr media
Like he’s just this sweet boy trying to do something for the girl he loves and it just makes me wanna scream. And I’m just never gonna get over this. Not only does he still def have the charm that she gave him (the first charm he’d ever gotten and then wrote her name on without hesitation and she considers it her charm too cuz he did that) and then he went and made a charm for her and only one for her. Like, HE MADE HER A CHARM. And then what is the first thing she does with her charm? SHE WRITES HIS NAME ON HER CHARM TOO. THEY MATCH AND THEY’RE BOTH SO DAMN HAPPY ABOUT IT! Like, they’re simply the most in love people ever.
But like, the way he, much like her and much as he always has, tries to immediately recover when he thinks she doesn’t want it, and that’s when her ability to express how genuinely happy she is kicks in, and just the way she catches his hand holding the charm, and so she’s holding onto him as he’s holding the charm, and how easily she reaches out for him, and how easily they reach out for each other with how softly he caught her arm earlier.
Tumblr media
And then he reaches out cuz he wants to hug her so bad. And her brain moves onto slightly different topics while his just implodes because she just wrote his name on her charm that he made her and smiled like that about it, and HE BLUSHES SO HARD HE HIDES HIS FACE IN HIS BACKPACK. Like, I’ve been wanting so badly for Chika to blush more often with Satowa, and I know he’s confident and comfortable somewhat in the idea of loving someone and being loved, but like I wanna see my boy blush, and this was like the biggest blush ever. His blushly little ears and the way he hides his whole face, and how she notices and is just so happy and also basically hasn’t stopped blushing herself since she sat down. And like, these two people have already expressed that they love each other through words, and now they just keep doing it through actions and gestures as they always have, and I just can’t believe how precious they are. But I also love that while they have said that they love each other, Chika’s immediate reaction when he reaches out cuz he wants to hug her is just like “oh shit, that was dangerous” and like just cuz she said she loves him doesn’t give him consent to touch her whenever, but also like this is the girl that has literally said she loves him and now he just wants to give her a hug and it’s just so sweet. AFTER MAKING HER A HANDMADE CHARM LIKE SHE DID FOR HIM. Like, I’m never getting over this. I’ve wanted the charms to be brought back but questioned if they even would, and now we’ve got the fluffiest chapter ever of basically just exchanging charms and I’m just gonna scream about it forever.
Also Satowa reacting out-loud to Chika’s cover of “gonna sleep” with “suddenly?” is so funny.
Tumblr media
Hiro continuing to be a go-getter and persevering through the awkwardness is honestly great to see for her. She deserves some stuff happening with her own romance. Also though her mentioning that imitating Chika and Satowa, ya know, the people who have already confessed their love for each other, might be a bit much was unexpected but welcome. And Takezou being the problem solver, offering to exchange charms, and how he tucks it next to his heart and his soft smile, and how they’ll both be able to draw strength from each other’s charms. Like, Hiro really is making her love into strength. Just love Takezou's little smile so much even though he smiles bigger in a minute. There's just something so private and joyous about it.
Tumblr media
And then Sane and Mittsu being the epitome of single life when asking each other if they should exchange charms is so hilarious. This along with Sane trying the soothing pressure points on Mittsu’s hand just really made them a whole vibe this chapter. Like, we have these two, the painfully single, Kota and Yoshinaga who are just either vibing or oblivious, the set of absolutely ridiculous love birds, and Momoya and Takinami who are just so *done*
Honestly don’t even feel the need to mention Ichiei at the end, cuz like, yeah yeah, they’re being all intimidating and scary, but my babies just exchanged charms so I don’t care. Am I also selectively choosing to ignore the very existence of Chika’s dad right now, much less that he’s at nationals? Absolutely. I need the fluff in my life right now, so my god I will take it and be thankful for it. The amount of times my babies blush in this chapter, I just CANNOT. I love it so much.

Kot Addu (Urdu کوٹ ادو ) is a city and tehsil in the Muzaffargarh District of the southern part of the Punjab province of Pakistan. This city is subdivided into 30 Union Councils[1] and has a population of over 104 thousand, making it the 67th largest city in Pakistan.[2] It is located just east of the Indus River, about 866 km (538 mi) from Karachi, 600 km (370 mi) from Islamabad, 100 km from Multan, 80 km from D.G.Khan, 60 km (37 mi) from Muzaffargarh, 60 km from Layyah, and 16 km (9.9 mi) from Taunsa Barrage. Kot Addu City attracts a large number of tourists every year, due to the Indus river and public gardens among other things. The city is served by Kot Addu Junction railway station. The Zip code of Kot Addu is 34050.It is the 69th largest city of Pakistan according to the 2017 census.
Geography and climate
Kot Addu is located almost exactly at the geographical center of Pakistan. The closest major city is Multan. The area around the city is a flat alluvial plain and is ideal for agriculture, with many citrus and mango farms. There are also canals that cut across the Muzaffargarh District, providing water to farms. During the monsoon season, the land close to the Taunsa Barrage is usually flooded.
Kot Addu has an arid climate with very hot summers and mild winters. The city has experienced some of the most extreme weather in Pakistan. The highest recorded temperature was approximately 51 °C (129 °F), and the lowest recorded temperature was approximately −1 °C (30 °F). The average rainfall is roughly 127 millimeters (5.0 inches). Dust storms are a common occurrence within the city.
Education
Like other major cities in Punjab, Kot Addu features a rich educational landscape. In the last few years, the city has observed a surge in the number of educational institutions. Colleges include private commerce and science colleges, schools, academies like Punjab Inter Science Academy, and a cadet college. Government degrees are provided for both men and women. Several colleges are affiliated with the Bahuddin Zakrya University, B.Z.U. Multan Pakistan, and Punjab University Lahore Pakistan. The names of some private institutions are, Kot Addu School of Economics and Management Sciences (Mr. Fiaz Hussain Malik, director), Punjab Higher Secondary School, Bismillah. Inter Science Academy, Punjab Group of Colleges, My School System, Dar-E-Arqam School, Oxford Grammar School, Professor Academy etc. A Government Technical College is also under construction.
Taunsa Barrage
Taunsa Barrage is a barrage on the River Indus. It is situated 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Taunsa Sharif and 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Kot Addu. This barrage controls water flow in the River Indus for irrigation and flood control purposes. This barrage serves 2.351 million acres (951,400 hectares) besides diverting flows from Indus River to the Chenab River through Taunsa Panjnad (TP) Link Canal. The barrage also serves as an arterial road bridge, a railway bridge, and crossing for gas and oil pipelines, telephone line and extra high voltage (EHV) transmission lines.[6] In 2011, the rehabilitation of the Taunsa Barrage was blamed for devastation of the Muzaffargarh district during the 2010 Pakistan floods.[7] Critics blamed the rehabilitation of the barrage, alleging that it failed to raise its height and strengthen protective embankments, used dysfunctional computer control system of the hoist gates and ignored hill-torrent management.
Industry
Kot Addu is a prominent commercial and industrial city in the Punjab province. It is connected by road and rail with Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Quetta, and Faisalabad; and also by air from Multan Airport to all Pakistani airports.
Agriculture
Kot Addu is an important agricultural area. The total area of Tehsil Kot Addu is 877,989 acres (355,310 ha), of which 4,24,521 acres are under cultivation. Main crops of the area include corn, cotton, rice, sugarcane, tobacco, wheat, and vegetables. Bajra, moong, mash, masoor, and oil seeds (such as mustard and sunflower seeds) are also grown in the district.
Mangoes, citrus, guavas, and pomegranates are Kot Addu’s most important fruit crops. Minor fruit crops include dates, jaman, pears, falsa and bananas are also grown.
One other local fruit is called a bare (Berry) . It is one of the main fruits grown in this region. Due to flooding, the crops are now rare, especially cotton and wheat products affected by this flooding. So, now a majority of the agricultural lands are covered by sugarcane. People either sell this sugarcane to sugar mills or produce Jaggery from sugarcane. KG Gurmani Agriculture Farm (Thatta Gurmani Bate Esan Wala Kot Addu).

Maciej Kot wins this summer's first qualification
Tumblr media
The local heroes Maciej Kot and Dawid Kubacki provided a Polish double victory in this summer's first qualification in Wisla (POL). Jumps of 128 m (Kot) and 125 m (Kubacki) were enough for the two Poles to came in ahead of Norway's Daniel Andre Tande (127 m) and Czech Roman Koudelka (127.5 m).
This summer's FIS Grand Prix in Wisla started a few hours later than originally planned and with only one training round for the world's best ski jumpers. Due to the difficult wind conditions, the start of the official training had to be postponed from 4 pm to 7 pm and there was no second training round. In the evening the many spectators at the hill in Wisla then saw the first qualification of this Grand Prix season and it was held under good conditions and the performances were on a high level.
Gangnes with strong comeback
"My focus is on the winter again, but if it goes well and I'm successful I'm obviously happy about it", today's winner Maciej Kot said after his success. Kot won the summer competition in Wisla last year and later also took the overall title of the FIS Grand Prix 2016.
Besides the two Poles, Norwegian Kenneth Gangnes, who made his comeback after a long break due to a serious knee injury, could also show a strong performance. "I'm not as consistent as I want to be yet, but basically I'm very satisfied with my performance here. It's going well", Gangnes said after the successful qualification and his jump of 125.5 m. The performance of Swiss Simon Ammann was remarkable as well. The four-time Olympic champion had a strong jump of 128.5 m and finished sixth.
Local hero Klemens Muranka, who dominated the COC season opener last weekend with two wins in Kranj (SLO), also presented himself in a strong shape. He came in 12th in the qualification.
Germans easily qualified
Best German athlete was Andreas Wank in ninth, Stephan Leyhe tied for tenth with Austria's Andreas Kofler. Karl Geiger in 17th and Andreas Wellinger and Richard Freitag in 22nd and 23rd completed the result of the German team.
The US team didn't do well today. Kevin Bickner is the only American athlete who could qualify for Saturday's competition. William Rhoads, Casey Larson and Michael Glasder failed to make the cut.

Great Himalaya Trail
Extraordinary Himalaya Trail is one of the longest and most elevated pathways on earth, and likely the most sensational, navigating the total of Nepal from east to west in the shadows of the world's most elevated pinnacles. For those searching for the front line of experience trek, Nepal's Great Himalaya Trail (GHT) presents an incredible chance. Twisting underneath the world's most noteworthy pinnacles and visiting probably the most remote networks on earth, the trail goes through lavish green valleys, dry high levels and unimaginable scenes in the Himalayas.

Waiting for Large Hill Competition: Stefan Kraft with the longest jump in training, Domen Prevc leaves Lahti early,  Schiffner replaces Schlierenzauer
The second official training for Thursday's individual competition on the large hill at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships was held on the HS 130 hill in Lahti (FIN) on Tuesday evening.
In the first two of the three rounds especially the Norwegians convinced with very good performances. So Andreas Stjernen had the best jump in the first round with 127 m. He was followed by his teammate Anders Fannemel with 124 m and Poland's Maciej Kot in third with 119.5 m.
The fourth place went to the new normal hill World Champion, Stefan Kraft of Austria, with 115.5 m. Kraft's teammate Markus Schiffner (124.5 m) and Johann Andre Forfang of Norway (129 m) had long jumps as well, but both started from a higher gate.
For Domen Prevc, who took part in the first round and jumped only on 76 m, the WSC in Lahti are already over. Head coach Goran Janus decided that the 17-year old, who could never present himself in a good shape during the days in Lahti, should now train at home. Jurij Tepes and Anze Lanisek will compete for Slovenia instead of Domen and Cene Prevc.
Compared to the competition on the normal hill, Markus Schiffner will replace Gregor Schlierenzauer on the Austrian team. With this decision, the 24-year-old will get the chance to compete in such a major event for the first time.

Cannes 2018: The Image Book, Cold War
The event of all events at today’s Cannes Film Festival was the premiere of Jean-Luc Godard’s “The Image Book.” Director of 127 films and counting, including the more recent “Goodbye to Language” in 3-D, and Film Socialisme,” the 87-year-old can still be counted on to attract lines around the block, which he did today, and will doubtless continue to do in the course of several more screenings tomorrow. He’s not here in person, but as narrator of “The Image Book, with a new spooky, raspy, up-from-the-sepulchre voice, he was very much with us in feisty irascible spirit.
In “The Image Book,” Godard charges through a densely-packed, five-part, stream-of-consciousness assemblage of images accompanying his obsessively intense vocalized and text-driven tour through his political thoughts on world history, Western appropriation of Third World resources, Egypt, Islam and the religions of the book, and ending with a major focus on the Middle East, including a fictional story involving a made-up sheikh from a made-up nation, who plans to unite the Middle East under his rule.
This mosaic of moving pictures is composed of solarized images, footage from many sources, including newsreels, and countless snippets from his own films and scores of others, including “The Passion of Joan of Arc,” “Salo,” “The General” and “Citizen Kane,” plus newsreel footage, and solarized images. A haunting recurring image is that of an Arab child rolling a 35mm film reel along a path as if it were a hoop, with the strip of film unreeling on the ground behind him.
Among the hundreds of puzzling, intriguing and challenging elements of “The Image Book” is the finger.  Godard is giving his audience the index finger, pointed upwards, as if to the sky. It’s a hand gesture often seen in illustrations of Jesus. Does he mean us to listen, hush, or look higher for answers? The finger recurs, followed by a variety of images of fingers and hands, some outstretched.
Godard is one of the few directors in the world today who has truly created art with the technology of surround sound. Just as he repurposed 3-D in “Goodbye to Language,” in “The Image Book” he has composed and mixed his soundtrack to play with the entire capacity of the surround sound system as no director has ever done before. His narrating voice crosses stereo channels, left, center and right, booms out of the surround speakers at the back of the theater, and speaks to itself in intricate overlays. He plays with volume and aural shading. Like whack-a-mole, sounds and voices can jump out from any part of the theater.
This movie magician never loses his power to challenge and confound. “The Image Book” is a film that can be analyzed minutely for hidden meanings, or it can be enjoyed as a barrage of sound and image meant to wash over the senses.
When the curtains opened on the competition premiere of Pawel Pawlikowski’s “Cold War,” today, it was to reveal an almost-square image, a screen ratio rarely seen at a time when wide-and-wider-screen films have long been the expected norm. This film too, by the 2015 Oscar-winning Polish director of “Ida,” has inspired some of the most heightened expectations of the festival. An assured master of black-and-white cinematography, Pawlikowski brings a luminous chiaroscuro to the painful trajectory of a star-crossed love affair between two people whose enduring magnetic attraction defies all logic. The beauty of his precise compositions is one of the great pleasures of a film that will proceed to deny many of the traditional pleasures of a love story.
Covering the years from 1949 to 1964, and traversing locations from rural Poland to Paris and back, “Cold War” is the story of Wiktor (Tomasz Kot), an accomplished, ruggedly handsome man at mid-life, who falls for Zula (Joanna Kulig) a talented, ambitious and manipulative student. The co-director of a state-sponsored institute for the preservation of Polish folk music, Wiktor feels the instant sting of attraction during the initial audition of the coy beauty with the clear voice, the flaxen braid and the air of guileless innocence.
Soon, they are not only secretly sleeping together, but Zula becomes a featured performer with the institute’s folk ensemble, even after confessing to Wiktor that she takes the self-protective precaution of informing on him weekly to their Party overseer, a stocky bland bureaucrat who also has eyes for her.
“Cold War” is rich in imagery and economical with dialogue. The film’s many music and dance performances, superb and mesmerizing, are emblematic of the changing relationship of Wiktor and Zula.  These are not window dressing or filler, but one of the drivers of the narrative. Just as the two mismatched lovers seem bonded by an irresistible force that renders them its puppets, they are transported through time by the vagaries of an evolving historical period that Pawlikowski conveys through the music, from traditional songs to jazz to Fifties rock and kitschy pop.
The film opens in 1949, with raw and affecting renditions of peasant folk songs, a step into the past in a village where Wiktor and his institute colleague are making recordings for their research. Later, the institute’s folk ensemble will give polished public shows of similar material, but success leads to political appropriation. As their fame and touring schedule widen, orders are given to make the mission “more global.” New songs about great leaders and agricultural triumphs replace the old timeless ones about farmyard romance and broken hearts. An enormous portrait of Stalin now flutters onstage on a banner behind the chorus.
Wiktor, acclaimed as the ensemble’s arranger and conductor, forms an airtight plan to defect with Zula during an appearance in East Berlin, but his slippery and elusive lover doesn’t show at the appointed hour. Alone in Paris, eking out a living as a cabaret performer and soundtrack arranger for films, Wiktor hangs on to his ideal, “the woman of my life,” in a remote push-pull of a relationship, neither together nor apart, until she makes the break to join him. Paris becomes a prison to the unhappy chanteuse, who longs for home. He will follow her at a great price.
The central mystery of the story remains the question of why these two have been willing to sell their souls for each other in a flawed dream of eternal love. The togetherness that Pawlikowski ultimately fashions for the pair after each is drawn back to Poland is a deliberate paradox. Confinement becomes freedom and the end becomes a tragic sort of beginning.

Lebenszeichen! Kraft landet in Lahti auf Platz 3!
New Post has been published on https://topday.info/sport/lebenszeichen-kraft-landet-in-lahti-auf-platz-3.html
Lebenszeichen!
Kraft sprang erstmals seit 17. Dezember in Engelberg aufs Stockerl.
Kamil Stoch (POL)           314,2 Pkt. (132,0 m/134,0 m) 2. Markus Eisenbichler (GER)   286,0 (124,5/129,5) 3. Stefan Kraft (AUT)          285,9 (124,0/128,5) 4. Kış Mevsiminde Rahat Bir Sürüş için Sahip Olmanız Gereken Motosiklet Aksesuarları
Kış mevsimi geldi diye motosikleti garaja mı çekelim? Can güvenliğimizi etkilemediği sürece motosikletin garajda işi yok diyen motosiklet tutkunlarını duyar gibiyim.

I CIEKAWOSTKA DLA WYTRWAŁYCH J) 4 miliony Żydów zamieszkałych w Polsce jest członkami Światowej Federacji Żydów – według oświadczenia Szymona SZURMIEJ w Telewizji Warszawskiej. Udokumentowanych jest w zasobach archiwalnych MSW 2 miliony i 700 tysięcy, w czym olbrzymia liczba Żydów ukrywających swoje pochodzenie. Większość Żydów zajmuje kluczowe stanowiska w masmediach, kulturze, polityce i gospodarce. Żydzi twierdzili, ze w obozach zginęło 3 ml 400 tys. czyli 100% ludności żydowskiej z przedwojennej Polski! Ostatnie kalkulacje podają 110 tysięcy. Przed i w 1939 roku Żydzi polscy uszli przeważnie do Związku Sowieckiego. Oni powrócili przebrani za II Dywizje Piechoty tzw. Wojska Polskiego. Jakub Berman i inni żydowscy zbrodniarze wojenni wprowadzili władze „zydokomuny” terrorem. Ich rodowód polityczny to PKP, PPR, PZPR, UW i UP. Hanna Suchocka (Haik Silberstein) uczestniczyła w ostatniej konferencji Bilderbergow. Jej uzgodnienia tam SA trzymane w tajemnicy przed Polakami. Aaron Szechter (Adam Michnik) powiedział w telewizji australijskiej, gdzie wystąpił w jarmułce, ze Żydzi w Polsce przygotowują ekspansje i mogą ja zrealizować, gdyż Polacy to stado tępych baranów. „Gazeta Wyborcza” i „Nie” to gazety żydowskie. Żydostwo stworzyło państwo w państwie. Unia Wolności jest partia żydowska. Inne partie są zinfiltratrowane przez manipulatorów żydowskich. 2 tysiące agentów Mosadu spenetrowało gospodarkę i politykę.

Shanghai Worold Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, Shanghai Tower
Oriental Pearl Tower
Lujiazui

Moj prvi postanek v mestu je bil Century park, kjer sem si ogledal muzej Shanghai Sicence and Technology Museum. Park je velik in razmeroma lep. Muzej pa ni bil vreden ogleda. Nadaljeval sem do predela Lujiazui v mestni četrti Pudong. Tu na razmeroma majhni površini stoji nekaj najvišjih zgradb na svetu. Pred dobrimi 20 leti tu ni bilo nobene visoke zgradbe.

Nato pa je čez nekaj časa prišel hišnik in me rešil.

Vsakemu tekaču so izmerili krvni tlak in nasičenost kisika v krvi.
To mi ni bilo všeč. Pretekel sem celotno progo in nikoli nisem hodil. Stopnice so bile precej položne.
Opremljeni so bili celo z defibrilatorji!

Let nazaj domov sem imel naslednji dan ob enih zjutraj. Preprosto, prisilno so preselili 18.000 družin.

Potem pa me je čakalo 29 ur dolgo potovanje nazaj domov.  Skratka, v zgolj treh dneh sem si z maratonskim načinom potovanja ogledal veliko večino znamenitosti v Šanghaju in zraven odtekel še eno zelo zanimivo tekmo. Trije dnevi so se mi zdeli za ogled mesta ravno prav. Vsak dan več, bi bil že preveč. Če bi imel še tri dni časa bi potem odpotoval v bližnje gore. Tja pa kdaj drugič.
