Hey everyone!

For those of you who haven't heard, Kortia will unfortunately not be publishing any more chapters. As such, I will no longer be affiliated with Dulcet Games from here on out.

Thank you to everyone who continuously showed me support and love during my time as Kortia's co-writer---while Kortia itself may be over, I don't think I'll ever stop writing for it, but any writing I do from this day forward will mostly be for myself and others. And of course, I'll always be writing other things, as it's my nature to always be writing <3

Once again, thank you all so much for liking Kortia; it really does mean the world that you took so much time to appreciate the world Nadir created and that I fell in love with.

Me as a writer challenge

I was thinking about what to write next and this idea came to mind. I know it’s not as interesting as a scenario, but I hope it won’t be very boring.

So, I wrote a list of questions. I’ll answer them below. If anyone wants to answer them too, please message me and I’ll tag you.

So, now it’s time for the answers.

1. What fandom/character do you like to write for the most? 

I really want to write more for Kortia. I’m waiting for more chapters to understand characters better. I said in the ‘My Chemical Romance’ prompts list that those prompts have a very strong Kortia atmosphere. I really want to have more requests for this game.

If I talk about a character, I have to name Hyogo Kaga. I like to see him soft. I like to put him in a position where he has to show his love. He isn’t even my favorite ‘Her love in the force’ character. But writing about him is very interesting.

2. How do you cope with writing blocks? 

I don’t cope with them. I try to write for something else or to relax, then to return to my requests or to what works I have started.

3. How often your inbox is open?

Always. I don’t answer immediately, but my requests are still open.

4. What is the post you found the hardest to write? 

‘American MC is transferred to a branch in New York City and Shun doesn’t want to let her go’. It’s my first NSFW fanfic I ever wrote. And it’s a request. I had no idea how to write in such a way as to not be a disappointment. What if I write something boring? What if I don’t describe the MC in the correct way? What if I write something disgusting, not exciting? Hope it’s better than I thought while writing.

5. What topics are the hardest for you?

The first topic is everything about jealousy. I’m not a jealous person. My boyfriend is not a jealous person. So, I don’t know how to write jealousy in a healthy and romantic way.

The second topic is the half African-American MC. I live in a country where POC are rare. I was very afraid to write something wrong, insult someone, describe MC as a stereotypical WOC. So, if anyone thinks that I wrote something insulting, please message me. I have to know my mistakes if I want to stop making them.

6. Do you find it hard to say no to a request? 

Yes. I find it very hard to say ‘no’ in general, even in real life.

7. How many requests do you have in your inbox right now? 

4 requests.

8. What topics do you don’t want to write about? 

Have no idea. I can write about nearly everything. I haven’t found something I don’t want to write about. I sometimes think that my followers find my page disturbing because of this.

9. What Tumblr writers do you like the most?

They can stay from a few hours to a few months. Depends on how much free time I have and how much inspiration.

I like to write requests. But I still like to write my own ideas more. The thing is that I first write the things in my mind. And if it’s not my own idea, I get distracted easily.

13. Smut, humor, angst or fluff? 

Angst and fluff. But more angst. I think people who read my works that are based on my own ideas, not on requests, observed that. The majority of these scenarios are angst. Only one has smut elements but is still angst. And the rest are fluff. I have a strange sense of humor, so don’t think it will be very popular if I start writing humor.

14. What are the works you liked writing the most? 

I really like ‘My Chemical Romance’ prompts. But they aren’t so popular. I had only a request on them.

15. Name some ideas your working on now. 

So... I have to answer the requests in my inbox. For one of them I have to reread Takado’s main story and for another to read Hosho’s main story. I’ll write them, but don’t know when. Taking into consideration how long Romance MD’s stories are.

I have ideas about a series of around three chapters for ‘Her love in the force’. I wanted to write series based on them in the past, but it wasn’t very popular, and thought that it took too much time for something like this. So, now I think to write three chapters for different characters. I started with Kaga, have ideas for Goto and Ishigami.

Have written half a fic for a fluff scenario for Kasumi. And another half for another fluff scenario for Jun Araki.

Have an idea for Symphony’s friendship with Axel.

Have no idea when I publish them, but I think you’ll look forward to it.

Kortia chapter 1 thoughts 🌙⚔

Okay! First of all I want to say that I ADORE the art and while some might think that Luna is rude, I find her to be amusing and charming (not only because she's pretty!) Despite being a maid she's sassy and has the upper hand in most conversations. ("most" reads "all" 😂)

And other than that... hm.

Here are my thoughts in no particular order:

-I'm gonna be honest and say that I'm a huge WEEB. Because of it, I have seen my fair share of Isekai anime (AKA "reborn" in another world, AKA the one genre that appears in every season of new anime for some reason.) So I've grown tired of it BUT there are some isekai anime out there that completely shift the tone of the genre and makes it their own by mixing up some elements from other genres (Re;Zero, Konosuba, Re:Creators, etc.) However, Kortia seems a biiiiit too much on the generic side for now. It might be too early to tell though! Maybe I'm completely wrong and chapter 2 onwards will be a 1000/10 masterpiece big brain story.

- The chapter felt too short, or rather, it didn't feel like a whole lot happened in chapter 1 which is alarming because it's the *first* chapter. It felt more like a prologue than a full on chapter. In actuality, the one big thing that happened besides the weird visions MC has and the info dump Luna gave us is MC taking a bath and almost drowning themselves in the tub...

- Again, for a first chapter I feel like the important information wasn't laid down for us which is, I guess, the point because that voice in MC's head always tells me to go frick myself whenever I try to understand or learn something other than what Luna teaches me. Having some mystery elements in a story is good but here I felt like we didn't have anything at all. I mean... yes, we learned about the gods and the origin of the world MC is in but in a first chapter that isn't really what I need/want to know.

- Is MC's self-awareness supposed to make us feel better about the lack of info? I think in this chapter alone MC used the word "cryptic" at least 5 times when talking with the voice in their head.

- Why only introduce Luna in chapter 1 and none of the others? I mean, we saw princess Florus and Dyclos (yes, I'm really forcing myself not to call him Dickloss) but we didn't properly get introduced to them. Which is a shame, I think it would've been nice to at least come across them in the story not just in weird flashbacks/visions/¿?¿? Instead we get introduced to Byrus and his wife who aren't all that important, or at least don't seem so (sorry I don't remember her name which is weird because I like her better than Byrus lol)

- talking about Byrus, the "banter" he has with MC isn't fun enough. Most times their banter is like IRL banter: annoying. A banter between fictional characters is supposed to be fun but instead I was quickly reading through each line, just wondering when we'll meet the "main" characters.

- The art is amazing (omghdzldvizen the backgrounds 💗���) but I feel like the art is getting misused for the illustrations. The good one was the one with princess Florus laying down, dying. (Oof.) The other 2 were unnecessary, I think. An illustration of a picture of 2 characters that we're about to meet in the next minute or so and a wall with a fresco on it. I feel like those didn't really need an illustration.

- We spent too much time on trivial things (*ahem*Byrus*cough*) no but seriously, jokes aside, I think some parts needed to be cut down and be replaced with MC *actually* going to the village and meeting some people on the way there.

- I feel like making the MC have that weird ability where they know some things about the world but also, need Luna's help for some other info is a dangerous move to make. Let me guess: MC will end up always knowing the info that isn't really that important and needing other characters' help for the rest of the world building?

- I get some RWBY vibes coming from the story (MC wakes up in a farm with memory loss = Oscar wakes up in a farm with a new personality in their head?) I'm not sure if that's a good sign or a bad sign though. I like RWBY but not for the story. RWBY isn't all that good with storytelling nor worldbuilding (constantly conflicting info everywhere.)

Overall:

- Lack of important info/context

- Amazing art but misused to picture trivial things

- feeling of nothing major happening??

- Byrus ain't fun (except one line or 2)

- Luna is good

- would've been better to introduce more of the major characters earlier or make the chapter a bit longer to squeeze them in

- dangerous decisions regarding MC (make them automatically know some things but not everything, why?)

- feels too generic at the moment and big RWBY vibes

This decision lays down on each writer. They decide what they want to be implemented in their respective games (e.g. outfits, body modification etc.)

However, none of the current games, Sweet Elite, Kortia and Black Tarot, will have that option.

I do not know if it is to send today but I will send anyway ... My mc from Kortia is a man, who is so interested in girls and men, I would describe him as someone partying, adventurer who always tries to get out of comfort zone what makes him get into dangerous situations he loves making friends and tries his best to get close to people even if they don’t want him, he also knows when he needs to be serious and does it when necessary, my adventurer prefers to keep his problems to himself to share

Why?

You had him at "partying." The easygoing head of the Royal Knights is all about having fun and doing what should theoretically be impossible (like drinking six mugs of mead all at once). Like you, he knows when to be serious, but why be so dull when you can have fun? You'll be sure to have a wild time with this knight by your side.

If you don't think Zeno is a good fit, perhaps...

Flours: The princess of the Kortian Empire doesn't know the meaning of the words "comfort zone." She's been breaking it for years, along with tradition. You two would know how to separate business from pleasure, and she certainly wouldn't mind getting closer to you, if that's what you want.

Hot take : Kor is the Dark Hero.

- He helps the MC like he was helped before, just like the Dark Hero was offered kindness when he arrived and vowed to protect these kind people of any worry. Also, he says he’s been there for a while but doesn’t specify how much time.

- The MC thinks he is 20, maybe 22 years old after Kor said that we’ll look older if we worry too much. But he doesn’t answer and says “see, because I don’t worry.” Is it because he looks younger than his real age ?

- He is not from Crimson City and lived in Port Faux before studying in the Ventali capital, Axion, but left when Eversion blew it up. Which is, according to Gerald and Jack a long time ago and the MC picks up on that. Kor automatically says he mispoke. Yeah sure. Also he knows Jack, but since how long ?

- He is not an official Kortian adventurer (probably because it’d be weird to be listed as alive for a few centuries) and speaks like a Hero according to MC who can also call him a knight, to which he says : I’m as far from a Knight as can be. Maybe because he was a Hero and now leans on the anti-hero side, but if we ask if he’s a villain he says he’s normal and just wants to raise his daughter. He also diffuse every situation if MC asks too much question and is on his guards when MC mentions both Knights and Heroes. Also, he himself says his life is complicated.

-  The Dark Hero is said to have changed physically because of his power and was afraid to enter the town because he didn’t look like a Vallaurian anymore, but Kor doesn’t have much weird attributes except his hair black on both sides and his purple eyes (colors associated to darkness and bad omens). He is fully covered with baggy clothes though, so maybe...

- HE CAN TELEPORT. TELEPORT. AS IN SHADOW MAGIC STUFF. Be it Solo Leveling, Pokémon, Kortia, ... Teleportation is always something dark/shadow related and well? we’re speaking about Dark Hero Kor. Jack said the Dark Hero needed a lot of Vallaurian lives to use his powers, but since a bomb just exploded did he gather the failing lives to teleport us away from harm ? And even more to teleport us to the Castle (he teleported 4 times with us, must have used some energy or he has reserves on him in jewels or artefacts). He is also unscathed by the attack contrary to us, probably because he’s no mere mortal.

Bonus Point.

- His daughter age is never mentionned, even MC thinks it’s weird because she’s supposed to be young and yet Umi wants to set up dates for her. Kor says the situation is complicated as is his life, and we know the Hero of Lightning left with the Hero of Darkness. The Hero of Darkness is genrdered as he, while the Hero of Lightning is mentionned twice as such with no gender written (not even they/their) and they (she ?) supposedly disappeared before the Hero of Darkness arrived to Crimson City. Second hot take : The Hero of Lightning is Zaria who somehow reverted back to a child’s body or lost her memories and Kor is watching over her like Seteth with Flayn (FE3H fam you know what I’m talking about.)

Listen if MC hadn’t been going on an empty stomach, they totally would’ve drunk Zeno under the table

...Okay no they wouldn’t have, Zeno is pretty much Legolas from Lord of the Rings, just like “huh I might be feeling it now” like 10 drinks in

The sparkles follow him everywhere just waiting for Zeno to make a face that requires them

He named every single one of them (but he won’t tell anybody else their names)

Originally he wanted to have a cape because how cool that would be... but then he saw a certain elf had it and he was like “I’ll be fine without one”

He really misses the cape though, he even named it U_U

He often forgets when he doesn’t have his helmet on or when he does have it on, kinda like if your friend gets a haircut and you don’t really remember what their hair was like before but like 1000x worse

This is a problem if he’s trying to kiss somebody, but you didn’t hear it from me >w>

Honestly sometimes he forgets he’s wearing the armor and will put clothes over them asl;jkfd;lasjdkf;adsfa but he still looks fantastic

He changes the coloring of his armor every now and then just to see if anybody notices, but it usually ends up that everyone just thinks they’re hallucinating or something

I’m not gonna lie, he’s probably all about nicknames, but they have to come from inside jokes or something meaningful or it won’t be any fun

Yes, he hair flips, and yes, he sometimes does it when the helmet’s on I DON’T KNOW WHY THIS IS JUST HOW HE IS

It was once pointed out that Kor lowkey had no pupils. It’s because he lost them in the war. What war, you ask? I’m not sure, but there was a war.

The scar on his chin happened when he like tripped and fell, and when he was getting fixed up he was like “No, wait, let it scar, chicks dig a scar”

Of course, he said that, but he just wanted to sound cool

He is Ryuji Suguro from Blue Exorcist reincarnated, my mind canNOT be swayed

The man can rap pretty well, but it’s not like he does it often (it was because Umi gave him a look like “excuse me sir what, pray tell, is this bullshit”)

He buys clothes at the soup store (and we’re very proud of him)

I don’t think he actually sleeps, like this man never seems tired, it must be because he NEVER IS
