Wait no, slight lie. We got to play once (a week ago?). We got the Kyoto trip (Bebe was there! Yay!). The slap happened tho (NOOOO BOOOO! D:<), and from what I remember it was even more uncalled for than the other versions. So yeah that solidified that "no matter how nice you make Yukari sound, her actions still piss me the fuck off"

Anyway hot spring scene, Junpei still a doucher. REALLY WEIRD they changed it???? Felt more like a 3D ver of P3P's for some reason???? (i don't usually play the male's side with P3P so I don't have it as memorized as the FeMC side or 3/FES vers). Like???? You removed the ONE kinda cool thing about P3's hot spring scene and it was the interaction! P3P gets a pass because it's in VN style so it's choices. But what's P3R's excuse???? TT0TT Why did you get rid of the interaction in exchange for dialogue choices????

They also changed the ending porting iirc.....? Maybe there's more than 2 endings. But it did make me go like...."why?"

I think it's the movie's influence again, I successfully got out, we made a break for the entrance. But unlike the movie they all got out, with Junpei/Ryo fainting by the entrance rather than in the hot spring itself.

I......don't really see the need to change it tbh, it made more sense for Junpei/Ryo to faint while we waited out IN the hot spring...but maaaaybe there's other routes and I just didn't see them. I'll have to find out later when I.....reload it. BU

Anyway, Chidori died. Junpei was sad. I was apathetic as usual. I think I'm in Tartarus now.

Maybe I'll play more this week. Maybe I'll nut up and try to play Fortnite (I hate multiplayer games with a passion), but I want the Korra stuff. ;w; Do I have to play PVP to do the battle pass? Can't I just do PVE? (sorry off topic, but that's my dilemma atm). Gonna be honest, I thought Persona would get me into that damned game, but nope. TT0TT Korra beat them to it

I would love see that! Tho I imagine some of the more dangerous ones are more far away. Tho like is villain organization also a part of this? Because I think it be interesting to see how some of them will reaction to how the other run. For example Shigaraki actually give the League of Villains more freedom and does treat them with respect. But someone like Muzan who is a control freak over Twelve Kizuki and willing to kill them off.

It would be interesting to see different teams of antagonists interact with each other. From arguing over their ideologies to trying to defend themselves (if they do at all) with their motives/backstory(s). Not the mentions the fights, like the Twelve Kizuki vs the League of Villains. (i.e. Toga vs Daiki or Dabi vs Doma)

Disclaimer:

However I, at first, tried to bring more than one villain from the same show since not all of these here are real antagonists, but then it would make watching these other shows pointless. And there will end up being more characters to keep track of. So I, and Entity, apologize in advance to all the normal people in this list.

(But whoever picks this up, it's up to them to do just 40 antagonists or pick just a few or more.)

The Antagonist’s Role (Some Conventional)

or something else (In the title I’m trying to convey that these people are the antagonist to the protagonist, but some only fill in that role because of convention).

Synopsis:

Spin-off fic, (non-canon), where the Entity is feeling vindictive against the antagonists of the 40's stories, so it makes another dimension kidnaps the antagonists of the 40. It doesn’t want to take those who are innocent, but there will be an imbalance to the universes if it tries to take more than one from the same dimension, (excluding the 40).

Just like MCS (WE), it will be a reaction fic to their respective stories. However, since Entity wants to rub salt into the wound, the antagonist will also be reacting to what is happening with the 40 cast, showing that they are growing, healing, and all around just doing better than they are.

Setting:

Instead of a mansion, the Entity makes a prison for them to stay in. There are three levels of the prison:

Level 1: Misplaced

These are characters where they go up against one of the 40/interact with them, but it doesn’t mean they are evil or mean, they just happened to be the antagonists of one of the 40’s stories. They are given actual rooms, their own bathrooms, good meals plus desserts, good clothes, and misc. items to entertain themselves. (Plus their own kitchen, gym, craft room, etc.)

It’s almost the same as Level 1 except they are the bad guys of their stories but they actually have shot at redemption. They will have their own room, but only with the bare necessities. There are the worst of the worse, monsters, villains, you name it. They will basically be treated like prisoners for their stay. All of them wear collars that not only block their powers but will shock them if they attempt to do anything remotely evil, violent, etc.

All levels are separated by another floor, with Level 3 in the basement to Level 1 at the top. There is around the clock monitoring thanks to Indigo and they are allowed outside, but Level 3 are the only ones who are scheduled with times and such.

The ground level is where they’ll be viewing what is going on with the 40. And the Entity is much more involved. FUNINTHEEYEOFMADNESS came up with the idea that to the people in Level 1 it would talk to the occupants like an empathic therapist. Level 2 is a no nonsense tough love overseer with the same empathy. And Level 3 is where the Entity will be the jail guard/jester/tormenter, pointing out their flaws, the pyrrhic victories and just rubbing it in. And, for the more arrogant of the prisoners, it will showcase their reality warping abilities to prove a point.

To quote FUNINTHEEYEOFMADNESS, "I would also imagine that for level's 2 and three the entity would make the prisoners do prison chores, but only to prove a point and make them build character. As any real chore can be solved by their reality warping effects."

The prison island would even be surrounded by an Eldritch Abomination to replace the ocean and act as a deterrent to kept them from trying to escape, (not that they could).

Something like this:

The Eldritch surrounding the island is obviously alive, but it reacts differently to the people coming outside. For Level 1, it will act similar to a puppy and all round just be playful and helpful to them. With Level 2 it will act indifferent, not choosing to intervene but will do so if necessary. But if someone from Level 3 steps outside without permission, it will go into berserk mode.

Ending:

Since this non-canon, it's kind of opened ended, but this what FUNINTHEEYEOFMADNESS and I came up with:

They will all have their memories erased OR only Level 3 will have their memories erased, (to which they will get back when they 💀) while Level 1 and those who redeemed themselves from Level 2 will keep their memories.

As to their connection to the 40, there are two scenarios:

1. Those who kept their memories while contact them when they get the chance and apologizes/helps the MCS (WE) cast with their adventures.

2. Somehow, someway, the 40 finds out what the Cloaked Figure is doing, those who have the unredeemable villains would see this a fitting punishment while those who have antagonists who are still redeemable or who are just antagonists by convention would ask if the Entity is insane. (And might even ask Entity to allow those of Level 1 to come back with them to the mansion and Level 2 once they’ve redeemed themselves.)

Reaction/Interaction Excerpts:

And of course, how can a can this be a reaction fic with some reactions?

To their stories/the 40:

To quote FUNINTHEEYEOFMADNESS again, "I would imagine they would either be downtrodden, guilty or seething in jealously. Another good point, since the 40 story is about hurt and comfort, the characters learning from each other and making themselves feel better, the villainous 40 would be judged by their peers and criticized. This can range from insults, being appalled by each other's actions or just rubbing it in each other in a sense of hypocritical moral superiority."

To each other:

Level 3 would have those arguing who had the better plan, motive, who had the harder protagonist to deal with etc. Basically an ego measuring contest. And the other levels would want to stay far away from them.

Level 2 would have them defending their case on why they did such actions, even though most of them won’t buy it, and some would actually engage in nice conversations. Level 3 would just call them pathetic while Level 1 would attempt to be friendly, as long as Level 2 cooperates.

Level 1 are just confused about why they are there and want to go home. Reactions to each other may vary, but they would be nice and comfort each other while allowing themselves to relax slightly since they are living much more luxuriously then they had been before. Level 3 and the stubborn half of Level 2 would be glaring at them while the redeemable half of Level 2 would be glad that they are in good living conditions.

How they would interact:

Level 3:

Ozai, Satan, Ragyō Kiryūin, Azami Nakiri, Toichiro Suzuki, and Akito Sohma would all be complaining to each other of how their bloodline/family members are such failures and how they would want to exact their revenge for going against them. They still don't get along, but they bond over that.

Light Yagami would keep trying to argue that he is not a villain, that he is a god, and all that nonsense, and it's usually Sukuna OR Geto, who yells at him to shut up and threatens to strangle him, shock collars be damn.

Yugi Tsukasa and Junko, somehow, bond over how much joy it bring them to see others in despair.

ADAM and Hisoka (if you chose him) would share in how they are looking for the most skilled/strongest, but when ADAM learn that Hisoka is a... ADAM would request a restraining order against him.

Amon OR Unalaq OR Zaheer OR Kuvira and Zeke Yeager would indulge in their own ideas of equality and freedom along with their radical methods of how to achieve such goals, (Light wouldn't be in this since he sees them as criminals and not himself, talk about hypocrite.)

With every interaction and banter Undertaker would just be shaking and crying with laughter as he finds all of this to be hilarious.

Level 2:

Benibara, Seijūrō Akashi (if you chose him), Kusuke Saiki, Kirari Momobami, and Oko Shinomiya would all be fighting for the leadership role in the group, and some of them are willing to draw blood to get it. (But it's Isabella, again if you chose her, who assumes the leadership role.)

Kusuke would actually try to study Cancer Cell while Garou would also be demanding to fight him to determine who is the strongest. This resulted in the two being threaten by Cancer Cell on a weekly, to daily, basis to stop.

The Whyman would just watch the humans being stupid.

Level 1:

All three of them get along, even though both Oikawa and JJ has egos the size of a house, (though these two would share in their woes of how they are the best and yet always fall short to someone else), and the three would comfort each other if need be. And JJ, who is the oldest in the group, would unconsciously take up the parental role.

Conclusion:

It the same premise as MCS (WE) except that this centered around the antagonists of the stories and most of them are either getting treated like the scumbags they are or are getting redeemed.

I'm not sure if FUNINTHEEYEOFMADNESS or if anyone else is going to actually write this, but if anyone does, or if they just what to keep bouncing around ideas, I'll happily lend a hand and or ear!

Nuka Cola Thirst Zapper - the part in the game may was the biggest pain in Fallout history, but I'd always wanted this replica because I'm such a merchandise obsessed haha It was often sold out, but my parents managed to finally get it and it's sooo cool! Maybe a bit small, but as huge Nuka World fan I won't complain

Funko Pops - I always loved the Korra one a lot, the design is amazing! And of course I needed Bruno as soon as he was published lol Both are pretty awesome and I'm glad to add them to my collection

Avatar Chronicles - A lot dislike Korras show, but it's definitely one of my a time favorites! I even love it way more than the original show oops- I actually didnt know about this book till it was recommended because of the Funko, but this book is definitely a must have for any Korra fan! I love it to much how it was made- you even have extras like recipes, letters or fake photographs in it! You instantly feel like being a part of that world

Riverdale Student Handbook - Also here, a MUST have for any Riverdale fan! It's sooo well made and again I love the concept they used because you really feel like being a Riverdale student! There's everything you need to know about the show and in such a good quality I can 100000% recommend!

CDs - of course I needed the new Bastille album (preordered it to get the autographs too) and I finally got doom days too! I'm sad you can't buy the second version of it anymore because I'm missing so many songs- but beside that, GMTF is really good and you def should give it a try! I listened to it every day since it came out and won't stop soon. And OneRepublic of course, how can't you love them- still mad that they chose the worst cities ever to make their tour oof

Marvel- my sister got me some Marvel stuff because she didn't know my HP house- but as Marvel obsessed I'm not complaining lol (she also got me a picture of my recent crush and I died so hard omg)

Washi Tape- there's no time where I won't get new tape. Tape is love. Tape is life. This time I got real cool background sceneries which are so aesthetically!

Earth, Wind, and Coffee: Chapter One Analysis

helloooooooo :) welcome to my chapter analyses for my fic Earth, Wind, and Coffee. here, i’m just going to be breaking down my writing process, choices, and fun stuff, among other stuff as well. you can read this after you’ve finished the first chapter (i’ve excluded spoilers!) or you could read all 45k words and then come back to these one by one. either way, i’m v excited to be doing this so i hope you guys like it too. lets begin with chapter one, shall we :)

some fun stuff before we start!

every chapter title is modeled after the fic title!

you may have noticed that there are two center line dividers in the chapter(and every chapter after), meaning there are three sections to a chapter. going off of this, i thought it might be cool to title each chapter based on the sections, either of its main topic or my favorite part of it. so, chapter one’s first section is korrasami meeting (hence, Meetings), section two is where i introduced Artist!Korra, and i really love Artist!Korra so naturally i had to name the chapter about her (and the thing that brings korrasami closer, Sketches), and the third section is where their friendship is solidified (i think i achieved this by giving their numbers to each other, but i also just thought it was a cute scene, Phone Number Exchanges) and now we put it all together and get: Meetings (Earth), Sketches (Wind), and Phone Number Exchanges (and Coffee) (pretty cool right??? *wink wink*) the same formula is used to title every chapter afterwards. i usually suck at chapter titles but i thought this was a super cute thing to do and it ended up working fairly naturally :)

i started this fic on sept 23, 2020. chapter one didn’t get posted until oct 15, 2020

so basically, i sat with this first chapter for almost a month before posting (which actually was a good thing, i’ll tell you why later!) i really wanted this first chapter to stand out and be lowkey perfect, so i kept writing and rewriting and rewriting my rewrites. then you know, i’d start reading and then edit and then edit the edits; it’s a vicious cycle but one that i’m used to. i finally decided to post the fic when i read the first chapter through and thought “yep, this is it” 

i was inspired by the fic it’s such a gorgeous sight to see you in the middle of the night by softshocks

mostly for the idea of having a full-length fic in only three chapters. buuut, that was also one of the first korrasami fics i read after finishing lok on netflix and i remember thinking “damn, now THIS is how you do an au” character progression in the story is great and not once during the fic did i feel bored or in a lull. i really wanted to do the same with my fic and tried my best

now, lets get into the chapter itself.

sentence structure:

i used sentence structure to (hopefully) show that something is off with korra. we don’t know what yet, asami chalks it up to working through the night, but just like the summary states, there’s more going on here with our new favorite barista, it’s just a matter of what. even with this being in asami’s pov, i wanted to show a sort of disconnect between her and korra. let me show you an example

“Asami smiles warmly, excited to try the drink. She thanks Korra and watches as the girl nods lightly and walks back over to the counter. She begins cleaning the espresso machine. Asami takes a sip from the mug, lightly moaning from the taste. She feels Korra’s eyes peer up at her for a moment. Their eyes meet and Asami blushes, putting the mug and her head down. She opens the binder on the right side, pulling out the pen tucked into the inside cover. She thumbs through to the next clean page and begins squinting at her sloppy notes, rewriting them neatly once they’re deciphered.“

i’ve italicized sentences that, even while in asami’s pov, describe korra’s actions. in comparison to the sentences around it, the two italicized sentences are rather plain and simple. they’re very subject-predicate - “She (subject) begins cleaning the espresso machine (predicate)” you have your noun/subject and verb/predicate, give or take some words for proper english and action. asami’s sentences are more complex. colored in red is what i’ve donned as my classic form of writing, which basically takes two sentences - “She opens the binder on the right side. She pulls out the pen tucked into the inside cover.” and smushes them together by keeping the first sentence as is and taking away the subject of the second sentence and tacking on an -ing to its verb. i’m not sure how writing sentences like this started but i feel like i always come back to it because it gives sentences just that lil bit of edge. the sentences are not super simple but they’re also not super hard to understand. it’s a nice balance of simplicity and complexity, in my opinion.

now in bold is the combination of korra’s - “Their eyes meet and Asami blushes.” and asami’s - “Asami blushes, putting the mug and her head down” sentence forms. it’s a nice little indication that even with this disconnect from korra, these two girls are going to come together and make magic.

this play with sentence structure pretty much continues throughout the rest of the chapter, have fun finding them :))

next on my list is what i brought up earlier! i saved this lil first chapter in my back pocket for almost a month and you know what, it was a really good thing i did. for one thing, asami’s original “tormentor” we’ll call him, was going to be tahno. the same idea of this character being a soccer player was kept but i changed the character from tahno to iroh for a number of reasons:

1) iroh’s connections to the fire nation throne were a biiiig thing in me deciding to change him. 

i loved iroh ii in lok, i thought he was super cool, but we needed someone in this story to be an obstacle for asami to face. we already have her dad hiroshi, and some of you may be thinking “isn’t that already enough??” and for a while i thought so too, but we needed a vehicle to show how hiroshi is an obstacle asami is facing. and i decided to do that with iroh.

2) i really wanted said character to be a conceded jerk and who better than a well known heir to a nation’s throne? (it really went to his head)

tahno was really already a jerk and pretty ruthless character in lok, which is why he came to mind first. and i’d had him only be a soccer star but that was cause for explaining how he and hiroshi have connections. i was struggling for a bit of how to tie the two together but ultimately realized, “hey hiroshi is a business man, he’s bound to do business in the fire nation. and iroh is from the fire nation, he’s prince! he could be a key factor in pulling strings to get more business there” and so that is why i changed tahno to iroh

3) it doesn’t stop there though! at first, iroh was only son of the firelord and soccer star mvp. he was in asami’s stats class but that was it. i realized he needed a bigger role to have connections with hiroshi, which is why he’s now a business major too

this reason is why it’s great i waited!! had i been an eager beaver and posted whatever the first draft of the chapter was, i would’ve been facing some challenges later on, so thanks past me for giving future me some help! this was the perfect way for iroh to be a conceded dick who’s in asami’s life even tho she doesn’t want him to be. i added on the bit about him joining future industries in section two of the chapter and was suuuper glad i figured it out because it helped me envision the rest of the story.

honorable mentions:

korra was going to be wearing a tee shirt when korrasami met but i changed this 1) so asami could leave up ✨korra’s muscles✨ to her imagination and 2) because gloves are a regularly used trope that someone has something to hide. i couldn’t really find a way to give korra gloves but i thought the next best thing would be covering up, so now she wears a sweater.

i googled different types of coffee. The Avatar is a latte macchiato, it’s a play on an espresso macchiato. espresso is added to milk rather than milk to espresso and features more foam than hot milk. i used this one cause i’ve always enjoyed seeing foam art and thought making aang’s classic arrow in foam would be cool. Aang’s Special is a play on his favorite treat, egg tarts. this one is a vietnamese drink and is exactly as i describe in the fic.

earth, wind, and coffee is very much a pun. one so many different levels though: earth, wind, and fire, esteemed multi-genre singing group, known for songs like september and fantasy. earth, wind (air), and fire are elements that are bended in the atla universe and while this isn’t a bending au, it’s still pretty cool. and now earth, wind, and coffee, it’s a coffee shop au. i mean come on, so many layers, i love myself for creating it but hate myself for how much i love myself for creating it.

honestly, no. i think because i’d already did all of the changes before publishing, but also cause any time i read through the first chapter, i just feel satisfied. i achieved all of my goals in that first chapter about setting up what would happen and it’s also just a good read.

Okay so we all know who your top ships are... who are your unpopular ships? Or obscure ships? What characters from what series do you think about often in either good or bad ways? Thinking about Veronica Mars. About Veronica/Logan. Do they have a ship name?? But I love that show and i was THERE for them. They were kind of a surprise ship for me, in that when they got together I was like, wait, WHAT? Like I was totally caught off guard. But there first kiss is, like, sooo romantic to me haha. It’s my fave scene in the show. But Logan is suck a prick sometimes. And they break up like every five minutes. And every season Logan gets accused of murder which of course he ends up not being the murderer. And they get back together eventually and I’m like really? But deep down I am rooting for them lol. I really enjoyed the new season of Veronica Mars that came out last year, actually. The ending made me SO SAD THO.

I also used to watch Supergirl and I thought Kara and Mon-El were adorable. He was very Carswell Thorne-esque, RH, I *think* you would like him. I never watched past season 3(?) though, and he shoots off into space and I never caught up so a few months ago I actually googled what happens and [spoiler] he ends up marrying someone else in the future or something so I was like, ok I’m not investing any more time in this show lol. (Also I had to google Mon-El’s name just now bc i forgot which is a bad look BUT I WAS REALLY RIDE OR DIE FOR THEM FOR A WHILE lol). Also I loved Martian Manhunter in this show, he was my favorite character. But the CGI for him was awful, omg. He had practical makeup at first, they should have just stuck with that.

Speaking of Martian Manhunter, I also used to watch Young Justice and loved Miss Martian/Superboy. Am I basic??? lol oop. But I love basic love stories. Anyway, I thought they were super cute. In season 3 though they’re kind of on the rocks. I haven’t watched season 4. I also loved Artemis/Wally West, but of course that had to end tragically.

Also, let’s talk about Nightcrawler. Allow me to set the scene. Little Kat is 13 and just rediscovered the cartoon she saw a few times as a kid called X-Men: Evolution. And thus, a weird obsession with the German, blue demon boy began. I loved Kurt Wagner. In the cartoon he starts a relationship with Amanda Sefton and I thought they were a-dor-a-ble. She accepted him for who he was, and they had a really nice healthy relationship. A lot of ppl shipped him with Kitty too which i am honestly all for idec I JUST WANT THE BLUE BOI TO BE HAPPY.

Can we talk about A:TLA too??? Like, obviously Zutara, amiright? Power couple. Like, Kataang is.. fine, but its probably my least favorite part about the ending, haha. Also, consider: Tokka. Toph is bae and can get anyone she wants, and she clearly had kind of a crush on Sokka and I think they could have been awesome. It actually kills me that they never say who Lin and Suyin’s father is in LoK. I had a whole theory that it was that kid The Duke from Jet’s band based on like 2 scenes from the series. There’s a tumblr post I made about it somewhere in the ether lol.

I also just remembered Tahnorra (Tahno/Korra) from Legend of Korra. It’s hard for me to explain this one. It’s a weird combination of being hyperfixated on the first season of the show when it came out, and I think I stumbled upon some fic or something???? And I thought Tahno was hot or something??? And FUN FACT, he was voice by Rami Malek BEFORE HE WAS COOL. So like before Rami really got big I knew who he was. He also basically played the Avatar in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and I thought that connection was hilarious. It was kind of a problematic crack pairing but there was one author in particular whom i follow to this day hoping she’ll update her Tahnorra fics…. *sigh*

Okay one last ship…. I used to be ride or die for Outlaw Queen in Once Upon a Time (aka Regina/Robin Hood). Like, before TLC, I had a personal tumblr renaissance for that ship alone. My only existing published fanfic is for that ship. Taylor Swift’s 1989 came out that year and I related every dang song to that ship. I loved Regina so much and I just wanted her to be happy. That show is a dumpster fire, though, and spat all over my hopes and dreams. *sigh*

This one seems too easy/obvious but Professor Snape? Like obviously there’s already a ton of discourse surrounding this but he was gross, mistreated his students for years, committed atrocities, couldn’t get over his high school crush, and we’re supposed to believe he’s a hero in the end and HARRY WOULD NAME HIS SON AFTER HIM….. uh no. “Always” is gross.

you know how bisexuals are attracted to the opposite sex as well as to the same sex, right? it's like being heterosexual and homosexual at the same time, right? so we can just divide sexualities into only hetero/homo and then bisexuals can relate to both of them, right? cause they're both of them at the same time!

or even better, when we want straight characters getting into same-sex relationships we just say they're bi, so now it's legal. thank god bisexuality exists

like, i can remember so few good bi characters just from the top of my head. i'd say it's clementine (the walking dead game), max caulfield (life is strange) and sean diaz (life is strange 2). yeah, playable characters in video games, where players are left with the choice of how to act on their bisexuality. [and zervan from dragon age, i think he's bi too, not playable, but from a video game as well]. and dex parios (stumptown), i haven't read the comics, but in the show she's great

i wanna say korra and asami (from the legend of korra), but i'm not sure since i've read once that they were supposed to be canon since the beginning but consider homophobia those days and all it didn't happen. how cool would it be if they were supposed to be two lesbians, but it was illegal so the creators were decided "okay, let's throw them in some het-relationships for now and then we'll just say they're bi". so i'll put them in the bi list but with a pencil for now

i would say rosa diaz (brooklyn nine-nine), and she really was my bi-icon for a bit. but then they decided it'd be fun to make her have two relationships at once without these people knowing about each other... which is fine in general, but nice acting on the stereotype about bisexuals (not to mention it felt totally out of her character, since she hadn't done that much dating earlier and now two at the same time?) (and i have the feeling that since she came out she's been into women exclusively, which is, again, fine on its own, but when there's this whole "making straight characters bi so they can be gay"-tendency in the media it's annoying)

and i was really happy watching runaways and seeing nico being bi and deanoru being canon (i've shipped them like from the scene in the bathroom). and then i've found out there are comics and i've read it, and in the comics nico isn't into karolina and straight. i'm still in love with deanoru in the show and happy nico is bi there, but do you see what i mean?

or, you know, casey and izzie from atypical. i'm a super big fun of them, yeah, but still, we had like a perfect het-couple (i mean, they were so cute, and great, and supportive and not toxic and all, piece of gold casey and evan) and then boom, casey is bi and in the same-sex relationship, with another bi girl with the similar situation (except for nate being a piece of shit, so not much complains on this side)

and i also want to say mazikeen from lucifer, but see, the similar case as all previous (still ship her with eve, obviously, doesn't mean it's not annoying)

i'll give all credits tho to jack harkness and river song (doctor who), they're amazing

oh, and almost forgot, laila (the bisexual). thank god this show existed, it's so great. like, she and dex parious are just... thank god

not to say we don't really have that many canonical bi-men (i know some exist, but i don't watch shows just because there are might be bisexuals in them, so i don't have anything to say about those men, but i make a guess it's not that good either)

so overall until i get some good canonical bisexuals i'll be making them myself and living in the world of my fantasies where you can be bisexual just because you're and not for some plot reason

and yes, i do this with canonically gay-males too. like william clayton (arrow) and tk strand (9-1-1: the lone star). with both of them there was a moment when i thought "what a nice bisexual we have here" and like 5-10 minutes later they said "i'm gay" and i thought "nice, don't care" cause you know for the whole 5-10 minutes they were bisexuals to me, i've attached, it's not like my thinking is going to change their canonical orientation, right? it's not like me strongly thinking about them as bi's going to do anything other than keep me sane [and i don't know if tj (andi mack) was confirmed as gay or will be at some point, i'm still going to see him as bi too]

If you don’t mind me asking- what even is the Voltron discourse??? I like to think I’m somewhat in the fandom but like I don’t ever really stumble across it.

theres lots of different discourse! i think a lot of it has to do with shipping (ofc) but to be fair im also not really in the fandom either i just watch the show and i try to stay away from everything, so i dont know a whole lot about the discourse either but ill list what ive seen. (no sources cuz i dont save links to that garbage)

if you dont care too much about minor things you can just read the bolded part but read the last two cuz theyre the worst. these first two are minor things that were only really unpleasant cuz the people involved are usually unpleasant. but a lot of the stuff in them is normal fandom stuff. the last two explain why theyre unpleasant tho.

if the show is good or not: so voltron created a LOT of hype when it first came out. it looked like a fun reboot with nice animation! im pretty sure it has the same team as the people who made last airbender and korra (or at least theyre reaaaaally similar) so people were very excited about the show. problem is the show is honestly just a really simple kids show (its made by dreamworks) and there isnt a whole ton of substance to it. theres a general plot, some fun fighting scenes, some funny scenes, regular stuff. the fans though were so excited for it they kinda. fabricated a LOT of content? for the show? cuz fact is the show was missing a lot of content so the fans just made it all up to have fun with it, the fandom made half the voltron lore and relationhips tbh cuz there just isnt a lot of it in the show. my opinion is that voltron isnt necessarily straight out bad, but its definitely missing a lot of substance. there was one funny post someone made saying voltron was like this new coffee shop that opened up that everyone loved and told you to try but you go and they just serve plain toast and thats it but everyone else brought their own jelly from home. that describes it perfectly. i think jokes like are funny and true, and like, i figured all of that from the beginning? the fact that they mentioned but never showed the imfamous bonding moment between keith and lance and yet the fandom went WILD with it was a good tip off on how this was all gonna go. other people only recently accepted that voltron might not actually be very good though and posts about that started showing up. i didnt see too much fighting though so that wasnt as bad, just kinda annoying imo (i still watch it and enjoy it, i just also know it lacks a lot of key stuff)

how the characters are handled: ive seen a couple of things here and there about the characters. first thing i some passive aggressive comments and edits of allura where she has more african features. fair enough as shes voiced by a black woman (kimberly brooks) and has dark skin, it would be nice if she looked like that- though i dont think her current look is a crime. theres also stuff about fanon lance and canon hunk. fanon cant quite agree on how to interpret lance, some people make him all goofy, maybe stupid? maybe aggressive? something, and other people make him all sads serious, the funny is just a coverup for his true self or whatever. theres just a lot of generally different points of view on who he his and how he acts and thinks. i dont think there have been bad fights over it though? then theres people being disappointed in how canon treats hunk. in the first season fans were given high hopes that hunk, a fat character, wouldnt be reduced to typical fat character tropes since hes smart and did some cool ass stuff in the first season! as the show went on however, they just kept doing hunk worse and worse and he really fell into the foodie trope, so much so it was just kinda depressing. there were some people trying to defend this saying people should accept that as part of his character and just cuz he falls into the foodie trope doesnt mean he isnt smart or that his only character trait has to do with food and shit, but then there were people saying that regardless of that truth, the show failed to show it and simply treated their character badly. luckily hunk was saved a bit in the last season :’)

and now,

character ages: there werent official ages for the characters when the show took off so people went ape with shipping and then some ages or age ranges were revealed i think and the fandom divided in half when it came to shipping shiro and the other paladins together (shaladin ships.) shiro is some sort of official adult age like 20s or something and i think hunk lance and keith were like, higher teens? 17-18 or something? and pidge is younger like 15 or whatever i dont know, but yeah so half the fans wanted to keep shipping shaladin and half the fans thought it was gross and i can see why there would be a divide sure but the fighting got really volatile??? the people on each side were so violent and ready to wage war if you even slightly disagreed with them, and of fucking course the pedophilia accusations were everywhere and it was pretty chaotic. people were VERY vehement in that if you didnt physically recoil in disgust at the thought of shaladin, you were a pedophile, and the people who did like it were constantly up in arms defending themselves with EVERYTHING be it age disputes or the whole “its fictional” thing, and for a big while anyone who remotely didnt like shaladin ships were called antis and i just used to see a lot of posts about antis before i unfollowed people and they were…. very aggressive. i personally dont like shaladin ships and blacklist it from my dash but like, thats just me, i dont take part in the fighting. 

the threats: while every fandom will have disagreements and some discourse, the voltron fandom was just fucking FULL of people who loved to take things too far. fans started harassing the creators and the voice actors, badgering them about ships and shit, and literally threatening them to make their ships canon. mostly over twitter. im pretty sure some girl threatened a voice actor that she would kill herself if klance didnt become canon? like what the fuck? anyway yeah, since the voltron team was so connected to the fans over twitter, a lot of them acted so inappropriately to them and acted like they owned the show and they were entailed to telling the creators what to do and how to make the show. this was just. the worst thing id ever seen and the fandom was full of people doing that kind of stuff. so yeah.

thats what i remember but luckily ive been removed from the fandom for a while so it might not all be accurate or up to date or whatever but this is my take.

A ship I have with said character: i like her relationship with varrick marginally more in the comics than in the show, which still isn't a whole lot. like am i remembering it wrong or did he go from treating her like an assistant to proposing in the span of like, a day? and she accepted?? i don’t even know how a relationship between the two of them could work, at the very least it has to be after a considerable amount of time bonding in a romantic context rather than going straight from boss/assistant to married (because there are moments where he still treats her like an assistant after marriage and it’s played for laughs?). and i know i know this sounds like a NOTP, but i don’t hate zhurrick. i like the potential it has and wish it had been done better, & hope it will be.

A BROTP I have with said character: okay i loved her and asami being Business Babes in turf wars

A NOTP I have with said character: bolin???? because apparently that’s a ship

A random headcanon: she keeps rabbits. idk why, that just popped into my head and i like it

General opinion over said character: nothing but respect for my president of the united republic. honestly i’m glad zhu li’s getting time to shine away from varrick and recognition of the incredible person she is! the presidency thing kinda came out of nowhere, but i’m glad we don’t have to see raiko’s dumb face anymore. and you KNOW she’s gonna kill it.

TARRLOK:

Sexuality headcanon: that gay coding is intentional, right?

Gender headcanon: hmmm i think tarrlok as a trans man could add some interesting context to his backstory, particularly in regard to him feeling inferior to his brother, as yakone was at least a teenager when the NWT forbade women and girls from fighting. so if he held those beliefs by the time he had kids, having a daughter may have been a disappointment. transphobia is never brought up in the avatar universe, but if the water tribes are okay with being gay then i would hope being trans is okay too. in which case i could see yakone being happy about it, but at the same time harder on tarrlok for not measuring up to “being a man”.

A ship I have with said character: i hc that he had a long-term partner, a waterbender and healer, who ended things with him when he started to become more paranoid and oppressive towards nonbenders in his anti-equalist quest.

A BROTP I have with said character: his relationship with amon/noatak was really interesting, and something i wish we saw more of. even just like, a longer conversation between the two of them before their deaths.

A NOTP I have with said character: KORRA. AMON. they're so disgusting.

A random headcanon: can't think of a better one rn, so i hc that he became basically his mother's carer before he began his career in government, shortly after which she died, as if she was holding on until he got his life started.

General opinion over said character: he’s a good villain! the joseph mccarthy/a. mitchell palmer parallels are fun, and the fact that he's partly inspired by azula is really evident. book one's plot just holds a special place in my heart, and i love characters with complicated family dynamics, so tarrlok and his family are up there as some of the most compelling characters to me

OZAI:

A ship I have with said character: NOBODY. tho i’ve said before that his relationship with ursa does intrigue me while also making me extremely uncomfortable. i’m just gonna copy and paste what i wrote then: “i would love to read a well-written fic from ursa’s point of view, chronicling her time in the royal family, that’s respectful towards her and doesn’t go all game of thrones on the abuse she received, and handles it better than the comics. she’s such an important figure and deserves a better story than what we got.“

A BROTP I have with said character: ozai neither has nor wants nor deserves friends

A NOTP I have with said character: literally everybody, but especially ursa

A random headcanon: hmmm doing the math means izumi must have been born when zuko was in his 20s, so i hc that ozai was still alive as she was growing up, and while zuko banned him from ever seeing her, ozai still attempted to sway and influence her like he tried with zuko, with undercover prison guards and such scheming with his followers on the outside. i can see life imprisonment eventually making him into a shell of his former self, but i believe he's still a bastard for some decades before that.

General opinion over said character: god he’s a fucking asshole. his character is written well enough to make me incredibly angry and hateful, but he’s still bottom of my list of favorite main villains. the show did a great job of building him up as this super powerful final boss, but for me personally he’s not as compelling as azula and the LOK villains (maybe excluding unalaq, as they're quite similar). like, i find his personal life and relationships much more interesting than his ambition or power

What are your top 5 notps

tHANK YOU for asking me I woke up this morning still kinda salty so like. 

These are gonna be in no particular order btw so ye! Also Ma/bill and Mab/ifica aren’t gonna be included as I already talked about why I don’t like those ships and why are they are part of my ever-growing notp list. 

1. D/rarry (Harry Potter)

Honestly? Just don’t like it. Like... that’s it. I like Dramione well enough, it was actually one of the first ships I started reading fanfiction for (as I just so happened to find a fic that sounded interesting that had it, read it, and was hooked) and I am a multi-shipper with certain characters, so by all means I should like d/rarry but I just don’t?

My theory for why I dislike this ship is easy: I find protag/antag ships kinda boring now after doing like. Everything with bill/dip. Don’t get me wrong, bill/dip and d/rarry are. Very different in numerous ways, but d/rarry reminds me of bill/dip and I already played and read about the dynamics of a protag/antag ship like this, so trying to get into d/rarry, which is similar, was boring for me. 

Also, in general, I don’t ship Harry with anyone? Like I dislike h/inny too, but that’s more of “I don’t like it, but it’s canon, and I have to deal with it so might as well just Not Care” instead of outright hating it. And though I say I would’ve preferred Harry to end up with Hermione, I don’t ship those two together either!

The only ship with Harry I kinda sorta like is Harry/Luna and even then, I see them as being something really low-key. No sexual relationship, just them being good friends and being borderline, what they would consider “romantic” once in a blue moon. And that’s it? 

Anyways, I find d/rarry boring and I feel like there isn’t anything new to the ship for me and shipping Harry w anyone sexually or in a heavily romantic way makes me kinda uncomfortable and I Don’t Like It so yeah. 

2. Amenadiel/Linda (Lucifer) 

God. Idk how many people who follow me watch Lucifer but this ship is. No. No? Nooooo?

They’re just. So awkward together. They’re kinda awkward together as friends but their awkward friendship is more kinda cute than anything. But together like... romantically? No? Pls no?

I also ship Linda with Maze like. A lot. A lot a lot. I ship Linda w Maze more than I do Chloe w Lucifer at least like. I am actively talking to the TV when I see Linda and Maze together to PLEASE KISS PLEASE YA’LL ARE SO GAY FOR EACH OTHER ITS OBV PLS KISS 

Hasn’t happened yet but. But. It could happen. I am really hoping this ain’t q*eer/baiting tho. I r r r hope so. I mean. Maze and Lucifer are both confirmed to be bi/pan basically (tho Lucifer seems to have a pref for women) so there are technically lgbt+ characters in the show already but like. But. B u t. 

Anyways. Luckily for me, it looks like Amenadiel/Linda won’t be canon at ALL and I really hope it stays that way and they stay kinda awkward friends. That’s cuter and a lot more interesting than shipping them together in my book. 

3. Hermione/Snape (Harry Potter)

Is anyone surprised this is a ship, really? I mean if you’ve been on tumblr for any length of time you’re prob sayin’ nah. Thing is, I found about this ship years before I had a tumblr and on ffnet so I was kinda. Shocked? As I didn’t realize how. Weird ships could get. 

And I can’t really say much about adult/minor ships or teacher/student whatever. I really can’t. But this is just so. Fucking random? Like. I guess bill/dip is random too.... but also i feel Hermione/Snape is even more so. 

And idk most the fics I’ve seen of this ship is just standard student/teacher shit nothing all that. Interesting I guess to me? which is if you like standard student/teacher whatever I guess but that doesn’t cut it for me.

But again. Why? Is it because Hermione is muggle-born and Snape an ex-magical na//zi? That’s.... even I wouldn’t touch that can of worms Jesus Christ. Like. I don’t get it. I don’t get it, I don’t wanna get it, and I’m gonna continue disliking it from my own corner and mind my own business ‘cause I don’t even wanna know.  

4. Kat/aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Z/utara should’ve been canon

No really I grew up watching A/tla and like. It was my fav show and I. Really liked Katara and Zuko together esp as I only shipped canon ships at that time for the most part (or if I didn’t like it I’d just ignore it but not actively ship those characters with anyone else) as I was young and didn’t think you could. Ship two people who aren’t together in canon I guess. 

But then. Kat/aang happened and I went “Wtf” and “that’s not right Zuko and Katara should’ve been together wtf wtf” I felt really cheated. And so Z/utara was the first technical non-canon ship I ever had.

Another reason I dislike kat/aang is that, for me, it felt forced, and the kat/anng episodes (like cave of two lovers or whatever its called) are just. Boring. And dumb. And not that good. I felt like they ended up together bc protagonist and deuteragonist not because I felt they went well together.

Idk! I felt like Aang and Katara had a more sibling relationship together! Like she was more of an older sister to Aang than anything else! And his crush on her was more like the young boy who has a crush on his older babysitter sorta thing but obv that would never go anywhere and it’d fade. 

That’s the general vibe I got so when they got together I was. Kinda uncomfortable. Because I felt they had a sibling relationship. And I felt it kinda came out of left field, was forced, and just. Stereotypical? Boring?

I mean I still enjoy the show and it’s, again, kinda like a “well it’s canon so whatever” but I still dislike it a lot and still feel like z/utara should’ve been canon. 

5. Ma/korra

I liked Korra well enough, but lets be real, the first season had some MAJOR issues trying to include a stupid love triangle like they were adapting some shitty YA novel. And even tho the second season was kinda blah as well, the third and fourth season made up for the previous two in my book.

But... ma/korra was just. A fucking mess. I hate this ship as I hate the things is stands for. 

The girl hate between Korra and Asami, Korra being a fucking asshole to Bolin (WHO IS A SWEETIE PIE HOW COULD YOU) and just. Me sitting there. Going “Are we really doing this. Are we really. How could you write a series as amazing as a:tla and think that a short sequel series needed something as complex as a LOVE TRIANGLE. 

(and yes: proper long triangles are very hard to pull off, very complex, could be a plot in itself, and that’s why most everything fails when incorporating one as a subplot lol) 

When the love triangle popped up, I just. No. No. Mako isn’t a bad guy ‘cause he liked Asami instead of Korra. Asami isn’t a bad guy ‘cause she liked Mako back. And the narrative kinda painted both of them as being “bad” because... idk Korra didn’t get the guy? Like Christ. Please stop. Please stop characterizing Korra as a fucking asshole and some sort of girl version of a Nice Guy TM. 

And though I think Korra and Mako did get some nice moments between each other once together, and though overall their relationship, on paper minus all the other shit wasn’t like. Pure garbage or anything, I def ship Korra with Asami a hell of a lot more. And the entire love triangle bullshit just. Ruined Mako and Korra, at least in my opinion. (Bolin and Asami came from that unscathed for me). It took me quite a while to start liking Mako again ‘cause of the love triangle and same with Korra.

So I guess for ma/korra it’s less the ship itself (tho imo the ship itself isn’t that special and kinda whatever) I hate the ship for what it did to the show and what it reminds me of. If that makes any sense.

Earth, Wind, and Coffee: Chapter Two Analysis

chapter one analysis

welcome back to another installment !! idk if many people are reading this, but i enjoy analyzing my writing so i’m gonna keep doing it :) let’s get started, shall we?

some fun stuff before we start!

the first scene i wrote for this story was the dock scene

usually, when i write, i kind of just start with whatever is the first thing that comes to mind. i’d had the bulk of the story outline in my head, not written yet, but i knew i wanted this reveal about the red lotus attack. so i started with it and wrote as far as i could before deciding i should start the beginning of the fic. most of the original content is there, with some stuff added on, but i took a turn from my dialogue as it didn’t fit the narrative of the story anymore (well get to this point in a later chapter analysis, don’t worry)

not me being heavily inspired by LOVE WITCH by bisexualyoda

around the time that i started this fic and was really writing for it, i found this story on ao3 and literally read whatever chapters were out at that time in a day. it was a story that also influenced me to write in asami’s pov, as a majority of the story is from hers. (this isn’t the only reason tho, but bisexualyoda is a writing god and what else could i do but try to honor them?) it’s a stellar korrasami fic that you should read if you haven’t yet and if you haven’t yet, what are you doing, please go enjoy that masterpiece

and into the chapter we shall go:

i kinda thought it was cool to play off this idea of a barista who can’t sleep but it’s not because of the coffee like you’d expect. 

now, being a diehard korrasami fan, i knew i wanted to apply this to my girls. and, i knew from the get-go i wanted korrasami to meet as if it were more book four, where korra has gone through something really terrible and asami is a really good friend who’s there for her. so i thought it might be cool to put the two together and korra is a barista who can’t sleep. then it was getting to what exactly the trauma was that korra experienced. i didn’t want anything as severe as what korra went through in the series (our poor girl was wrongfully put through the wringer for four seasons) but i wanted something that would stick with her and still haunt her, even after a period of time. my favorite book is book three and i loved the red lotus antagonists, so i played around with their concept and turned it into what’s in the story. i was really pleased when i came up with this and only made some minor changes (i had originally explicitly given korra insomnia. i decided to change this and keep it more ambiguous because i didn’t want to inaccurately describe insomnia and somehow offend anyone who does experience it, i hate doing that) and then i was set to really start the fic.

so, when i first started writing this fic, the idea of multiple povs was an option. in the end, i chose only asami, for a number of reasons, but mostly for one in particular

just like asami, i wanted you guys to gradually learn about korra’s situation. sure, i could’ve went through korra’s pov and been all secret secret about it, but something about that idea doesn’t sit well with me. i liked the idea of gradual connection and in turn concern. i sprinkled some little stuff here and there, to hint that something’s up, but i feel like that’s the hook for you lil fishies to grasp onto. even in that very dock scene, i don’t give it to you right away; i dance around it, just like korra does by talking about tenzin and the temple and i mention the water and korra’s jacket and anything but the reason why korra’s called asami at 2 in the morning to come see her. this kind of tension, this kind of urgency to know what’s going on, i just don’t think would’ve been achieved had i had alternating povs.

something i really love about this chapter is how the first section and third section ends

Makeshift Boardrooms ends with korra being a complete angel and going above and beyond for asami and this presentation:

Asami is speechless. Inside, the tables and chairs have been set up as if it’s a long boardroom, fit with the donuts in the center of the table no one can ever reach. At the far end, a projector screen is set up and a loading screen is displayed on it. Asami stares at the girl, unsure of how to convey how appreciative she is for the gesture.

“Korra…”

“I know,” she quickly speaks up, her fingers behind her back fidgeting even faster, “it’s a lot, but I thought you should get the best kind of practice! And, we hosted a movie night here a while back, I wasn’t sure if Tenzin left all the equipment here but I found it all in one of the cabinets in his office and I,” she’s looking at the ground now, “is it all right?”

“All right?” Asami questions, truly confused as to how Korra could say such a thing. She reaches out, slowly, gently, placing her hand on Korra. The girl’s hands fall to her sides, Asami’s fingertips slowly linger down from the bundled fabric of Korra’s rolled up sleeve to her forearm.

now, A Turn of Events ends like how we know:

Asami falls back onto the couch, ill prepared for the unexpected burst. Korra continues huffing, gasping for air, clutching at her chest and running a hand through her hair. Asami reaches out again and that’s when Korra flinches again. She starts to sob.

“Korra…”

“Get out!”

Asami sits, staring. She isn’t sure if she heard right or not. Korra begins shaking, sobbing inconsolably. Asami just wants to reach out.

“Get. Out!”

Asami grabs her things and rushes towards the door, taking one final glance behind her shoulder. Korra’s hands cover her face, her body flinches and shakes, her sobs ring loudly in Asami’s ears. 

In between each desperate gasp for air, she can hear Korra whisper, “Please, please, stop, stop, please, stop, please.”

Asami feels her heart sink and she opens the door to leave.

i’ve bolded what i love most. it was actually unintentional, i’d only noticed after i finished the chapter and was reading through to edit, but it’s kind of beautiful, bittersweet even. there are parallels here, some less noticeable than others, but parallels nonetheless. the lingering of korra’s name is direct and the events after are strikingly different but in a way connected. in Makeshift Boardrooms, after the mention of her name, korra is sputtering word after word. in A Turn of Events, after the mention of her name, korra only says two words. it’s two sides of the same coin, showing how korra is unfortunately spiraling out and losing control of what’s going on with her. typing it out is kind of hurting me, seeing how korra’s in pain, but im the author and i know what happens later so i shouldn’t worry too much.

now getting onto asami in this section, still, the lingering of korra’s name is the most noticeable parallel. but, in Makeshift Boardroom, after korra responds, asami reassures the girl with physical touch, she’s able to reach out to her. in A Turn of Events, after korra responds, asami doesn’t react, she doesn’t know how to. korra’s in front of her, clearly in pain, and she just yelled at asami, and still asami just wants to reach out to her. once again, unintentional that this happened, but sometimes it’s the unexpected things that turn out for the best. the diction i have here, in repeating the word reach, i think it just further drives home how heartbreaking this chapter’s turned out to be. (shout out to the section title, cause things really did take a turn here) it had all seemed so good, korra was opening up to asami, they were getting closer, and then all of a sudden BAM korra has a panic attack and in a moment of utter fear, she pushes away asami. i know i put angst in the ao3 tags, but now going over it as the author, i see my angst has really gone above and beyond, but hey, i really liked how this chapter turned out

honorable mentions:

in LOVE WITCH, asami and kuvira are basically besties and i loved the idea of their friendship and i wanted to have a go at it myself! finding kuvira’s place in the story, however, was a lil tough to navigate, but when i came up with the bodyguard idea, i really liked it. i hope you guys do too :))

idk if you guys noticed but outside formal fic/writing settings, i pretty much only type in lowercase. however, i do type in complete sentences and the only abbreviation i really use is idk so don’t mind me lowkey projecting onto korra here. anyways, i know most phones have the default setting for texts to be first word already uppercase. i have mine turned off but figured korra would have hers on cause 1) she prefers it this way and 2) even if she wanted to turn it off, she doesn’t know how to. plus, i liked the idea of her enjoying emoticons better than emojis. i love emojis but i always do a lil sideways smiley ( :) ) and to me it’s super cute and i’m sure korra would see it the same way

the end of this chapter is not what i had first intended! truth be told, i didn’t know what exactly was going to happen at the end of the chapter, but i knew what would happen after it, i just needed a bridge. in my og timeline, i had a couple different options: the one i almost went through with was asami suggesting they move into together (which is admittedly super soon and super fast so like, it would scare off korra), another was something intimate that would still scare korra off (this one wasn’t too elaborated on, perhaps a forehead touch, or super close faces, idk. obviously this doesn’t happen, but it had been in consideration), i’d actually even considered something physical, but that was quickly cut off the list, as that is NOT how i wanted this story to go. anyways, because of how this chapter ended, the whole rest of the story changed and i couldn’t be happier.

anything i would’ve wanted to change?

im still super self conscious about the length but at the same time, also not, idk how to describe it. anyways, i think what i actually would’ve liked is keeping something from the Home Life section i took out. when i first wrote it, asami actually had a desk mate and he was flamboyant and sassy and i loved him. looking back now, i would’ve loved to have kept him and the scene with him, but i took it out cause i was scared the chapter was too long. after reading everyone’s comments though, about how they don’t care how long chapters are/longer chapters are better, i gave myself some more slack with the last chapters. his name was ryuichi, rip ryuichi
