I’ve already introduced you to my 1st Korean food hop, and because kinain na rin ako ng sistema, let’s seek for more KFOODventure!
Hwaiting! 화이팅! - Fighting!

Sodam is a Korean buffet restaurant.This is my favorite K Resto of all the Korean food shop I’ve ever been to. Their food has this K feels and it’s really worth every penny you will spend here! Maybe that’s the reason why I keep on coming back to this place. Affordable & fulfilling haha Jeongmal!! (really)
RATES
Lunch Buffet (Monday - Friday) Php 325
Lunch (Weekend/Holiday) Php 365
Dinner (Monday - Sunday) Php 365
Not bad for a buffet right? The owner of Sodam is a Korean national and she’s very hands-on with her business. You’ll see her refilling food on the buffet table & serve drinks to customers, and there are times that she grills the meat for you.
Ahhhhhhh!!! Mashittda!!!!
There are so many Korean dishes as you all know, Sodam offers variety of them and I must say they’re all legit Kfood! makes me wonder if their Chef is also a Korean :)
I’ll introduce you to some of the common Korean dishes which you can easily recognize. Some of them are usually seen in Dramas or Series so some may be familiar to you already (if you are a fan of those ^^,)
Chicken Roll 치킨 롤 x Beef 소고기 x Omeulles 오믈렛 (Korean Omelet) x Sweet & Sour Fish 달 콤 하 고 신 물고기 x Buttered Corn 버터 옥수수
My personal favorite, Creamy dory is no joke!
They serve the meats (beef & pork) in a deck equally. It can’t be pure beef order or pork.
Kimchi - 김치
The traditional Korean kimchi is made of fermented vegetables. Normally and the most commonly used veggies are cabbage, carrots and radish. Kimchi is known to be one of the usual Korean side dishes.
Tteogbokk-i - 떡볶이
is a Korean snack or Korean’s popular rice cake. There’s a lot of Korean dishes that can be partnered with tteokbokk-i.
Korean Grilled Beef Lettuce Wraps
This food is most commonly seen in Dramas/Series when they're drinking. Meat x Veggies it is!! My Korean friend first introduced this to me when we had her birthday party. Ahhh Masshitda!
Soju - 소주
Speaking of the grilled meat in lettuce, here’s the perfect match! Introducing Korea’s popular alcoholic drink, Soju. Soju means "burned liquor", its alcohol content is from 16.8% to 53% ABV (Alcohol By Volume).
Chicken Veggie Kebab x Stewed Potato
These two dishes are considered to be a snack, a healthier choice indeed! You can also go for a sauce of your choice with the Kebab :)
Bulgogi -불고기
Also known as grilled marinated beef. This is made of thinly sliced marinated beef. It can be grilled or roasted. It is somewhat sweet in taste.
RESERVATION
It is first come, first served basis. For reservation, please call Sodam ahead of time. They easily get fully booked.
Phone: (02) 246 9069 ext. 917 / 0905-393-4190
As mentioned, I’ve been here for the nth time and every time I try to reserve, they’re always fully booked. I guess customers are just like me who wishes to come back given that satisfaction with the value of money and the quality of the food you’ll get to enjoy!
Koreana at Heart, Aigoo~
I’ve already introduced Sodam to my friends and colleagues and so far everyone is satisfied!
APPROVED!!

Korean Food Hop, Ah Mashittda!!
Intro: I think everyone knows when and how I started to love Korea, everything about it. KFood, KDramas, KSongs (mix) even some of KArtists, I just found myself liking them because of their sense of humor and all. I mean, it’s not that hard to fall in love w/ them haha
Gaja! 가자 - Let’s go!
Restaurant: Sopoong Food House Address: Ground Floor, Grand Emerald Tower, Garnet Road, Pasig City, 1600 Metro Manila Phone: (02) 504 7769 Hours: 8am-12mn Monday - Saturday
Soopong Food House is the closest Korean restaurant in our office. They serve traditional Korean dishes plus it’s affordable. Also, their store has a cozy ambiance that suits you & your friend while dining, it’s comfy having chitchat even after you finish your food.
Spicy Ramenbokki x Ramen x Bibimbap x Kimbap
There’s a lot of Korean dishes, but these food are the “easy to find anywhere”K food.

Spicy Ramenbokki - 매운라면 떡볶이 || Maeunlamyeon Tteogbokk-i
Price: Php220 (this serves 2) || Php150 (solo)
Tteok-bokki or stir-fried rice cakes are one of the most popular Korean dishes. A lot of dishes can be mixed with tteokbokki. This one we ordered was mixed with spicy ramen, hard boiled egg, & fish cake. Super spicy! can’t even take a sip when it’s hot, but it tastes good!
Beef Bibimbap - 쇠고기 비빔밥 || Soegogi Bibimbab
Price: Php190 (w/ meat solo) || Php99 (w/o meat, all veggie solo)
This Korean dish is one of my favorite! Superb! A rice topped with sautéed vegetable (meat or w/o meat, carrots, zuccini, mushroom, bean sprouts, fried or raw egg & chili paste) just mix & eat!

Spicy Ramen - 매운라면 || Maeunlamyeon
Price: Php130 (Plain) || Php145 (w/ egg)
Ramyeon must be the famous of them all lol you can also cook this one at home. Ramyeon is the easiest dish for me to cook. You can find instant ramyeon in leaidng supermarkets or you can check them in Korean Marts.

Kimbap/Gimbap - 김밥
Price: Php50 (Half Order, 6pcs) || Php100 (Full Order, 12pcs)
This is also called Korean rice rolls and commonly known to be a picnic/snack food in Korea. The traditional fillings for kimbap/gimbap are seasoned vegetable (spinach is the most commonly used), egg, carrots, radish/cucumber, but nowadays, anything for the filling goes as what you prefer.
It can also be partnered with a soy sauce to taste.
Soopong Soup
Well, while they prepare for your order, they’ll serve you a free soup which I personally like.It tastes really good!
If you are located in Ortigas, there are two Korean convenience stores, Sonamoo Mart and Ha-Neul Mart.
This is just the beginning of my Korean food invasion journey! Until my next KFoodTrip. Annyeong!
P.S My Ramyeon photo got deleted. Thank you, Google!
