What happens if my Goblin Test Pilot ends up targeting my opponent’s Kopala?

When you activate Goblin Test Pilot's ability, you choose from among legal targets for its ability during the activating process. If that target happens to be Kopala or anothehr Merfolk controlled by that player, then an additional cost of 2 is imposed on the costs of the ability. You're then free to pay it (and in fact must if you have 2+ mana in your mana pool), but if you don't have the mana in your mana pool, you're not forced to generate it.

Since you then can't pay the costs to activate the ability, the entire activation is undone. You're then free to try activating the Test Pilot again. You're free to do this until the Test Pilot targets a non-Merfolk target if you like, but if you go around abusing this interaction, expect to get some sour looks from the other players in your game.

Note that this only works because Kopala actually imposes an additional cost on the ability. Something like Ward is just a triggered ability and doesn't allow these sorts of shenanigans.

Czwartek.....

Juz nawet nie wiem, jaki mamy dzisiaj dzien. 

Dwa tygodnie byly w porzadku. Teraz mam lekki remont w domu i jest gorzej. Jestem zmeczona, lekko zmarznieta i poza praca robie naprawde niewiele. A czas goni i to dopiero poczatek. 

Potrzebuje kopala w dupala zeby ponownie ruszyc z miejsca. Budzet na ten rok jest juz na styk, a przydalaby sie podwyzka. O bonusach moge zapomniec. Prezent na swieta? Dostalam broszurke firmowa z ich celami i ambicjami na 2023-kilka dni nowego roku i broszurka juz nieaktualna. Wyslali ja poczta, wszystkim pracownikom. Oni to wiedza, jak rozwalic kase. Nawet w Dziadofirmie raz nam rzucili 25 funtow. Na ta firme juz nie moge patrzec, ale czy robie cos w innym kierunku? Nie za bardzo. 

Moje nerwice maja sie bardzo dobrze, nie odstepuja mnie na krok. Na szczescie natretne mysli pod postacia Pitbula i Szefuncia trzymaja sie z daleka. 

Prywatnie ten rok powinien byc ok. Remonty, odwiedziny znajomych z Polski, wakacje i podroze. Gdybym miala nowa, lepiej platna prace, to bym jeszcze dorzucila jeden wyjazd. Chyba ze K. tez zmieni prace i dostanie podwyzke. Ja nie mam do tego poki co szczescia, ale nie ma co generalizowac. Bedzie dobrze.

Chlapce zabili a tělo nechali tři měsíce pod podlahou domu

Před Vánoci otřásl malým městem Moro v Arkansasu nález těla zhruba pětiletého chlapce. Ostatky byly nalezeny pod podlahou v domě jeho matky a jejího přítele.

Rodiče chlapce, Dustin Rolland a Ashley Rolland, se brali v prosinci roku 2015. Jejich manželství trvalo o šest let. Měli dvě děti, jmenovaly se Blu a Taylor. Taylor byla mladší než Blu, tedy podle všech dostupných informací. Dále se dozvíme, že věk chlapce není úplně jasný a dohledatelný, takže se předpokládá, že mu bylo pět nebo šest let.

V roce 2021 se manželé Rollandovi rozvedli a děti byly svěřeny do péče matce. Otcovi bylo stanovené výživné, které platil a své děti si pravidelně vyzvedával a vídal je. Matka žila v domě se svým novým přítelem Nathanem Bridgesem. 

Od 14. září však Ashley začala odmítat Dustinovy žádosti o návštěvy dětí. Dustin chtěl celou věc řešit přes úřady a podal stížnost, že mu matka jeho dětí upírá právo vidět je. Ashley se hájila, že Dustin neplatí alimenty, proto mu neumožňuje vidět děti. Naopak Dustin se hájil, že je platí vždy včas a při jeho žádosti o to vidět děti na něj Nathan vytáhl zbraň. Tato stížnost se pak nějak pravděpodobně projednávala, zřejmě proto se celá věc táhla tak dlouho.

16. prosince 2022 se opět otec dětí pokusil navštívit své děti, zřejmě proto, že Blu měl ten den narozeniny. Dustin přišel se svou matkou, pravděpodobně mu i babička chtěla přinést nějaké dárky. Ashley však návštěvu odmítla s tím, že chlapec je mimo domov. Během rozhovoru však zahlédla babička chlapcovu sestru Tyler v opravdu hrozném stavu. Byla pohublá, podvyživená, pokrytá modřinami a na hlavě měla popáleniny. Babička vzala okamžitě Tyler k lékaři. Otec dětí mezitím zavolal polici.

K domu přijel také Timmy Childers, otec Ashley. Polici sdělil, že se mu dcera svěřila, že je chlapec mrtvý a také kde je pohřbený. Podle jeho slov se ostatky nacházejí pod prkny podlahy na chodbě domu. Policie hledala v domě přesně podle jeho výpovědi a tělo skutečně našla. Když odkryla viditelně nově přibitá prkna v podlaze na chodbě a kopala v půdě pod podlahou, našla nejprve chlapcovy pantofle a deku a pod další vrstvou hlíny i tělo, zabalené do několika vrstev igelitu. Policie Ashley i Nathana zatkla den poté, 17. prosince.

Během následujících dnů začalo vyšetřování a výslechy. Už 23. prosince policie zveřejnila příčinu smrti. Chlapec zemřel na utopení, protože mu Nathan držel hlavu v záchodové míse. 

Ashley téměř okamžitě vypověděla, že za smrt jejího syna je odpovědný Nathan. Podle ní měl vždy násilnické sklony. Uvedla, že chlapec zemřel již 9. září 2022 a ještě ten den jej pohřbili pod podlahu. Sama tvrdí, že byla v jiné místnosti a do koupelny vešla, až když z ní Nathan vyšel ven. Našla tam syna bezvládného, dýchal ztěžka. Když chlapec zemřel, tak se podle jejích slov Nathan postaral o pohřbení těla. V podstatě tvrdí, že se provinila jedině tak, že Nathana kryla. Nathan to prý chlapci udělal jako trest za to, že zlobil.

Mezitím, co probíhá vyšetřování, tak je malá Tyler v nemocnici. Kromě těžké podvýživy a popálenin na hlavě,  měla po těle také mnoho modřin, ostříhané vlasy, zlomených několik žeber a lékaři našli špatně srostlou zlomeninu na noze. Babička, Dustinova matka, vypověděla, že když ji našli, tak hned požádala o něco k jídlu a vodu, v očích měla zděšení. Okamžitě se ptala Ashley, proč je dívka v tak hrozném stavu, ale Ashley jí odpověděla, že jde o alergickou reakci.

Později Ashley vypověděla, že holčičce tyto zranění způsobil také Nathan. Držel ji pod horkou vodou jako trest za to, že zlobila. 

Oba čelí obvinění z vraždy, zanedbání péče a týrání dětí. Jsou nyní ve vazbě a soud bude 17. ledna 2023. 

Pro malé město Moro, byla tahle událost velkou ránou. Moro je velmi malé město, podle posledního sčítání zde žije 216 obyvatel. Většina domů je dřevěných, jako dům ve kterém se tragédie stala, na adrese 211 Front St.

Lze jen spekulovat, jestli za celou věc do jisté míry může i uzavřenost komunity a nízká dostupnost psychologické a psychiatrické péče v malých městech na americkém venkově.

Europeans often think that East Europe and Northwest Asia is simply Slavic: if Poles, Czechs, Russians and many Balkan people are Slavic, surely all the areas of East and Southeast Europe must be Slavic. And if West Asia has Indo-Germanic languages and cultures, surely those must be Slavic too? Well no.

So here is an exhaustive list of Wikipedia's creatures for people who just get lumped in as "Slavic" when they are, in fact, from totally different cultures. While browsing Wikipedia, I also learned that there is a autonomous Buddhist European Republic run by descendants of the Mongol horde in Eastern Europe, something I was utterly unaware of (probably because they are incorporated into Russia, but also because I have some biases to work on).
