United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) delivered to the Ministry of Defense the fifth batch of new Su-35S multifunction fighters. This is the year of highest production for Russian jets and a new batch of Su-57 fighters is on the way.

The aircraft were manufactured in the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation unit in the far east of Russia. The second batch of Su-57 stealth jets for this year is scheduled to be delivered before the end of 2023, Rostec, the parent company of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), announced today.

"This batch of Su-35S aircraft completes the delivery of this type of aircraft in this year's program. UAC companies provide the Russian Aerospace Forces with modern aviation systems in strict accordance with the delivery schedule. KnAAZ workers, like other UAC factories that execute state defense orders, work in three shifts. Our employees understand the need and importance of their work," said Yuri Slyusar. “Along with today's delivery of the multifunctional Su-35S, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Factory is preparing to deliver the next batch of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters by the end of the year.”

The 4++ generation Su-35S multifunctional fighters have undergone a cycle of ground and flight tests in various modes of operation and have flown from the KnAAZ aviation field to their place of service.

"The Su-35S is one of the main fighters in service with the Russian military and today clearly confirms its high performance in real combat conditions. The aircraft is distinguished by highly effective long-range air-to-surface and air-surface guided weapons, as well as an advanced electronic system of countermeasures and defense," said Vladimir Artyakov, first deputy director general of Rostec State Corporation.

In addition to the Su-35S and Su-57, the UAC delivered some batches of Su-34 aircraft, the heaviest fighter in the Russian inventory. which was upgraded to carry the Kinzhal hypersonic missile.

At the meeting held ahead of Gazprom’s 25th anniversary, Alexei Miller informed the President about the company’s achievements and current operations. This occurred February 16, 2018.

The meeting focused on the company’s socially oriented project, Gazprom for Children. Over 1,300 sports and cultural facilities were built or renovated between 2007 and 2015 under the programme. Via video linkup, the President reviewed the operation of new sports facilities in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Kursk, the village of Kantemirovka in the Voronezh Region, and the village of Suzemka in the Bryansk Region.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Mr Miller, tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of Gazprom, which is probably Russia’s strongest company with state participation. Congratulations to you and everybody working for Gazprom, the huge team of this major company. I want to note that over these 25 years, giant strides have been made to consolidate, maintain, and advance the industry.

We all remember very well the time when the state almost lost control of this company. Gazprom is without exaggeration the backbone of Russian’s economy. For many years, when in the 1990s and the early 2000s, our national economy was experiencing difficulties, Gazprom helped the economy to stay afloat. The company produced the much-needed resources for power and heat generation at the prices and rates clearly below market rates. Thanks to that, other industries had the opportunity to concentrate on their operations, upgrade outdated capacities, and invest in development.

Gazprom itself has made immense progress in terms of technological modernisation and expanding its opportunities. Gazprom is currently operating 151 gas fields. I doubt that any other company in the world has cast out so many lines, in a positive sense.

Gazprom has a presence in 34 countries, where it is very active in the market and cooperates with many partners and friends. I know that Gazprom is growing not only domestically, by increasing the amount of gas supplied to our residential areas but also very visible abroad. A significant amount of budget revenue comes from its exports.

Congratulations to you and all Gazprom employees on the company’s anniversary and its achievements.

The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant (KnAAZ) completed production and delivered the last batch of fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft to the Russian Ministry of Defense as part of the 2023 production program.

In 2023 the aviation plant located in the far east of Russia successfully completed the state request for the supply of Su-35S and Su-57 fighters, the United Aircraft Corporation press service reported.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, noted that the KnAAZ team dealt with this difficult task at a high level.

"The aircraft manufacturer delivered to our armed forces all the fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft planned for delivery this year. The fighters have successfully passed all the necessary factory tests. Increasing the production of these machines has become possible thanks to the solution of problems related to the rhythmic supply of components and the improvement of flow assembly technology," said Denis Manturov.

In 2023, the Su-57 assembly line was adjusted for successful operation in the context of increasing volumes of aircraft series production. Measures were also taken to eliminate bottlenecks not only in the final assembly, but throughout the entire production cycle. Issues related to the supply of components from supplier factories are being successfully resolved and opportunities to improve aircraft assembly technology are being worked on.

The aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur continues to increase the series production of Su-57 fighters. Currently, the construction of combat aircraft is underway that will be transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2024. The number of fifth-generation fighters joining the armed forces almost doubles every year.

As part of the implementation of promising technical re-equipment projects under the state program for the development of the military-industrial complex, new production facilities will be commissioned in the near future. This will ensure the series production of Su-57 aircraft and further development of the industry.

In 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense received six Su-57 aircraft: two in May and four in December. In total, since January 1, 2023, ten fifth-generation serial fighters have been transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

In September, the UAC delivered to the Aerospace Forces the first batch of Su-57 with delivery scheduled for 2023. The number of aircraft transferred was not informed, nor the number of fighters delivered on December 27. However, given that the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, announced an annual increase of almost twice in the production of Su-57, it can be assumed that in 2023 the Aerospace Forces received from 8 to 10 fifth generation fighters and, therefore, the troops have about 20 Su-57 aircraft.
