MCM X König Souvenir

Since the collaboration’s launch at Miami Art Basel, the partnership released another cutting-edge collection, perfect for adventurers and travel junkies. The collection is inspired by airports, which are seen as places of transitions for art as well as people, who are put together in a culture less space. Origins and views are overshadowed by everyone’s process to reach their ultimate destination. Airports don’t require dress codes, yet one keeps seeing repetitive styles that are non-existent in the outside world. MCM and König Souvenir captured these secret airport codes and launched an accessories collection, ideal for everyone that loves the jet set life. 

The dynamic collection is an innovative mix between original air travel accessories and classic MCM designs. Ropes, straps, tags, chains, carabiners, key rings, buckles, and barcodes are just a few of the captivating details placed on the dazzling pieces. The colour palette takes inspiration from security bar codes and boarding passes, highlighting various shades of greens on MCM’s usual cognac canvas. The limited edition collaboration consists of 6 styles, each with the recognisable green strap, that turns every piece into a statement accessory. 

The König Souvenir x MCM Travel Edition is available globally from January to March 2018 upon request within all MCM global flagship boutiques.
